    Amazing tres leche cake

Gosh! I really enjoy this chain restaurant! We had a craving for fresh salsa and homemade chips. Gone are the days where you could self serve chips. BUT those chips are still here. We enjoyed "shamelessly" about 3 baskets of fresh chips. Then we ordered food! Gotta love those giant nacho platters and the variety of appetizers. Hubby enjoyed his food platters. Service at the bar is outstanding! Thanks to those patient bar servers. Ambiance is nice with lots of TVs in the bar. Parking is plentiful.

Although I'm generally not a fan of Tex-Mex, this is possibly the best one I've been to in the area. The prices are fair, the food options and spice level vast, and the atmosphere is also nice; it has that diner vibe. Yes service is okay and could be more consistent, but the boom-boom sauce and veggie tamales were great!

We had a craving for Chuy's chips! They make them fresh several times a day. Long gone are the self serve chip bar. The bar staff was great. He indulged us with several baskets of chips and salsa. The salsa was HOT! It was delicious. After those delicious baskets of chips I wanted a simple meal. Enter the ground beef burrito. It was hefty and very tasty. I do love a good chain restaurant. Staff was very accommodating. He provided lots of drink refills as well as those baskets of chips. The bar area ambiance is fun and wide open!

My wife and I went to Chuy's for lunch today. Glad we got there right as they opened at 11am because the restaurant filled up afterwards pretty quickly. Our server was very quick to bring us a basket of homemade chips and 5 different types of salsa. Plus, when she brought our meals, it was with a warning of the extremely hot plates. My wife ordered a taco entree and I ordered chicken enchiladas. Portions were generous. The music seemed a bit too loud for me. However the food was good and easy to pay via the QR code on the receipt paper. I left a cash tip on the table.

I love Chuy's and this one was great. This is the middle ground for my friend and I to meet since she lives in Maryland. I did a margarita swirl of strawberry and another pink one that is the special this month. My friend got the tortilla soup and it's broth based. She also got the Chicken nachos while I had chicka boom boom which is always my go too.

I have always passed this restaurant but for some reason never stopped in until today for lunch. I sat at the bar and was promptly greeted by the bartender Nina. I told Nina that it was my first time dining at the restaurant and that I may have questions to which she told me wasn't a problem at all. Upon looking over the menu I noticed they had a section called "Sauces" so I asked Nina a few questions about how she recommended I narrow things down to pick the best one for my salad and she said she would do me one better and bring out samples of each of the sauces for me to try to determine which I liked best (& you can literally add 95% of them to your meals for free). Once the array of sauces arrived Nina literally explained each of them in detail for me and how they were made, WOW! I wound up actually liking all of them but loved about 4 and decided to keep them to add onto my Mexi-Cobb Salad (which was a deliciously fresh and filling salad). My overall experience far exceeded my expectations and I will definitely be back to try more traditional Mexican entrees of course topped with lots of sauces :)

I love Chuy's. Even though it is a chain, they have some of the best Tex-Mex if had (outside of Texas :) Their complimentary chips are super thin and crispy and not oily. Their salsa is nice and fresh and additionally you can ask for any of their signature sauces free of charge! My favorite entrees there are their chicka-chicka boom-boom enchiladas, vegetarian enchiladas, Chuychanga. Their signature boom-boom sauce and the deluxe tomatillo sauces are must trys. Chuy's is also very welcoming of substitutions and modifications, making it very vegetarian friendly. Highly recommended this casual restaurant if you're in the mood for Tex-mex food!

Restaurant environment was good. Service was excellent. The water was prompt to bring us the food. She was excellent. The lighting was great. I'm not too sure about food. I had Comida deluxe entrée and beef burrito. The sauce really didn't have any taste to it. I was expecting more of a traditional Mexican food, but it looks like it was Americanized. I am not sure whether I will come here again.

First, the hostess acted like we were an intrusion into her evening, didn't welcome us or make eye contact. She sat us at a booth, which didn't work, so she did seat us at a table. I asked for a vegetarian menu, knowing there was one, but she walked off, did not return. Our waiter was a young man, spoke very softly; we both had a difficult time hearing him. My wife ordered her drink; I asked for a few more minutes. That drink did not appear until half my meal was over, which I did not appreciate. And I had to ask 3 times to get the drink, including asking another waiter. We ordered salad and main dish; my vegetarian menu finally appeared. It just seemed both the hostess and our waiter did not care to attend to us. I do not know if we will be returning; and to top this all off, both the hostess and waiter called us 'Guys'. When two older women are sitting at the same table, we are ladies, or simply nice to see you two tonight. Please tell your wait staff to get this right. We like Bungalow Lakehouse, it is close to home, and the atmosphere is comfortable.

There there is an Olive Garden nearby so it isn't out by itself, even if it feels like it. The weather was beautiful, so we grabbed a high top in the bar area, overlooking a nice little pond behind the restaurant. The service in the bar was surprisingly good, despite the bar itself being pretty crowded and nearly every table around it being populated. The food was served quickly and they allowed us to customize to our liking (TIP: pay the nominal upcharge to replace your existing side dish to Brussels sprouts with bacon and spiced pecans! Or get it as a side to share) I had the Hickory Grilled Hanger Steak with mashed potatoes and a field greens salad, except no potatoes. The salad was amazing (it has dates in it for a sweetness to balance the sour of the dressing) and the medium rare steak was phenomenal. We each had a glass of beer -- the Pale Face Summer Wheat on draft. It is a classic German Hefeweizen and described as "malty with banana and clove flavors." I tested the banana on my first sip. It was a solid choice. The next day, we worked a 15 hour day without stopping to eat. By the time we finished, we were so tired that we agreed to return. I ordered the same steak and my coworker followed my recommendation. He agreed that this is the steak to order. (even if he ordered his more well done than mine). For the second visit, we ordered the bread pudding for dessert instead of beer with dinner. I suggest splitting the dessert. Don't get me wrong, it was fantastic, but was definitely shareable after a full steak meal.

I would recommend a reservation because with rain outside aka the patio being closed, the whole inside was packed. A lot of the seats are super close which feels very European but you can hear most peoples conversations which can be annoying. Our waitress was really sweet and stopped by a bunch. We started with French 75's, hot coffee, and an espresso martini. The drinks were refreshing and quite large for the price. The espresso martini really reminded me of a grown up hot chocolate, I really enjoyed it. I later also got a cucumber vodka martini and it was one of the most refreshing drinks I've ever had - definitely the drink of the summer. For our food we started with the baked brie with fig and garlic and the escargot. The brie was a unique take on baked brie, I loved the way the flavors all melded and the fact the cheese wasn't completely spilling out everywhere. The escargot was soft with a phenomenal crumb/butter mix, the whole things really melded well and melted in your mouth. The bread served with it was nice as well, if only I had a bit more of it. For our mains we were here during brunch so we got the lobster omelet and the French onion soup with the side of fries. The french onion soup was great, a good amount of cheese and onions without being overwhelming. Fries were fantastic and quite large, a big portion for $7. They hooked it up with the amount of lobster. I would definitely come back to try their lunch tasting menu or other brunch items as well!

The short ribs fell apart without a knife bc they were sooo tender and the desserts were expertly crafted. I might go back just for dessert yum!! The Brie appetizer was enjoyable though a little small if splitting. The shrimp cocktail were very traditional. I enjoyed them. My husband loved the homemade baguette although I wonder if it's because the butter was so good; the bread itself was a little hard for me and of course room temp as is typical in France. Kids enjoyed the kids options (though preferred our dishes). Pasta in cream sauce and steak frites were their choices. It was really loud inside particularly when tables in the middle of the room were occupied. Outdoor patio might be pleasant for easier conversation. Also bring a sweater- if you end up under an ac vent, it can be cold.

While there are some good things about the place, which I will list first, there are some not-so-good things. The good --- When we arrived, the place wasn't busy at all. There were a few people sitting outside. The dining room was empty. Throughout our meal, we had the place to ourselves. Our server greeted us and seated us. Masha was very friendly, polite, and efficient. The dining room was decorated with artificial hanging plants. Also, there was a large mural of Eve holding the apple with the serpent coaxing her to eat it. Now for the not-so-good things --- getting to the entrance wasn't easy, especially for my husband, who is waiting to get his knee replaced. To reach the entrance, you had to walk down a paved path with descending steps after parking the car. Upon entry, we had to climb a somewhat long staircase. On the way out, Masha stated that there was a ramp and pointed to a door leading to the kitchen and said we could go out that way. We chose to exit the way we entered. Also, they don't have any printed menus -- just a QR code to scan for the menu. We found that to be off-putting. Fortunately, we had already decided what to order before coming here. We chose to start with "Zaytoun", which consists of "Mixed Pitted Olives Tossed In Extra Virgin Oil. GF". This was a tasty starter. There were a few different types of pitted olives. However, we didn't think that there was any olive oil in the small bowl; rather, it appeared to be brine. For our main course, we both chose "Beef Kofta" which consists of: "Beef rolls served with Lebanese Couscous, Refreshing Tomatoes, Cucumber, & Labneh". The beef kofta was very dry. Growing up, I sometimes had Kofta, and it often turned out quite dry. The kofta did have some kick, and the small amount of very tasty labneh helped mute the spiciness. The Lebanese couscous portion was huge. That, too, helped give moisture to the kofta. This was a filling meal, and we ended up taking some home. Weighing the pros and cons, the cons, alas, outweighed the pros for us.
