First time eating at this Chuy's location. We were greeted & seated right away considering we went at a non busy time frame. We sat in the bar area, our waiter was great promptly brought us our chips & sauces. They bring you their ranch dip & salsa other locations we've been to (mainly DFW area) you have to ask for their ranch dip. Food was great & prices are very reasonable. I had the chicken salad & my husband had the taco salad with beef fajita. They give you just enough protein in both of those dishes. We'll definitely be back! read more

I have been here a small handful of times in my life and would say the ground beef burrito with chili sauce and the beef fajitas were good. Last time I was here I ordered the Shredded Chicken Enchiladas with Boom Boom Sauce and it was terrible. The chicken was tough and not fork cut tender the way shredded chicken should be. We were so fortunate to night to get Ashley (Ashcab). We are here to try the food before we do a to go order for 50 people at a wedding party. Ashley took us through the to go menu, and brought us the rainbow plate to try all the different sauces. Ashley has been on the team here for over a year and she is also a chef; what she really is is one of the greatest salesman for Chuy's. Had the beef and chicken for heat is tonight. The meet is awesome! We also decided to add the shrimp. Shrimp is obviously farm raised and was OK. We ordered Fajitas for one, and it's more than enough food for two people. We went here on our last night in Texas. The girl at the front desk seated us quickly and the server came within minutes with water and chips and salsa. Chips and salsa - They give you two salsas. One is a traditional tomato based salsa and the other was a ranch jalapeño salsa. Both were fantastic. Neither were too spicy or salty. It's not common for places to give you two free salsas so this was a pleasant surprise. We ordered a few dishes, I got the boom boom enchiladas, my husband got the steak burrito and my friend for the Sunday special pork tacos. We had asked the server about the different sauces and instead of just describing them to us she brought us samples of each so we could decide for ourselves. This was exceptional service! I wasn't very hungry so she suggested I get a half order of the boom boom enchiladas. Even with the half order I got a huge portion of food. The boom boom sauce is like a combination of queso and Alfredo. It's cheesy and spicy and oh sooo good. The enchiladas itself was soft and flavorful. The rice and beans were very traditional and exactly what I expected. My husband had a HUGE steak burrito. He said the meat was tender and full of flavor. He chose the green chili sauce which gave it a nice kick. The amount of rice and beans they gave him could feed a family. My friend also enjoyed the pork tacos. He said they were just spicy enough and the meat was so tender it fell apart just by touching it with a fork. Overall we had a great experience. My name is Tim. I have a family of six. We live in Friendswood Texas. We live about 6 miles from this particular location in Webster. Going down 528 to get to the location feels like one is a fish going upstream. It is not fun or easy. But first world problems .. I digress. My family has a tradition of when it is someone's birthday they get to choose the restaurant that we are going to go to either to eat out at or two simply get carry out. I would say that since the pandemic we often eat in and order out. Chuy's is one of our favorite restaurants. Truth be told I could probably take an IV drip of the jalapeño ranch dressing. It is that good. Anyways my 10 year old daughter had her birthday yesterday. She chose Chuy's as the restaurant for her birthday dinner. So the plan was to go get food this evening. I ordered on the family's behalf, double checked with the worker who took the call and the order to make sure that everything was on there, and then went and picked up the food 30 minutes later. When I arrived home with the two bags of food, my two oldest children pointed out to me that two of the entrées which amounted to about 50% or close to 50% of the order were not in the bag. I was annoyed actually more than that I was hangry and mad. So I got in the car and called the restaurant and asked to speak to the manager. The girl that picked up the phone could sense my frustration and was very understanding asked what was missing and stated that the food will be ready upon my arrival. I was still pretty upset and instead of calling at the restaurant when I arrived and waiting for it to be brought to my car I decided to go in. When I went in a had my hangry face on and they asked how they could help me and I said I wanted to speak to the manager. Maybe about two minutes later the manager emerged from the back with a bag and profusely apologized to me for the two missing items. He refused to tell me that I should feel bad (because in this day and age with such first world problems, I honestly did- I realize what service people do is often a very thankless job) and was extremely supportive and sympathetic to the whole situation. He apologized and truth be told I felt bad even expressing my frustration to him. But let me tell you about one week ago my wife and I were in Port Aransas at a rental property that we stayed at and on the property there was some restaurants including a very niche-y and boutique-ish type restaurant. The whole experience was terrible. It was a calamity of errors including the waiter telling us that a number of menu items were not available because "we ran out of food" of what we had ordered had been "dropped on the floor and there was no food to replace it" etc. etc. etc. It was a terrible experience. I thought there were hidden cameras to be quite honest with you. The wait staff at that restaurant were unapologetic and unconcerned about the fact that it was close to 930 at night and there was literally little to no food for them to offer us at that restaurant. So I had that experience quite fresh in my mind. Fast forward to this experience tonight with how this manager handled the situation, Chuy's has a committed customer thanks to this experience going forward. This manager's name is Brent P. He was very kind and their company/restaurant is in good hands with people like him at the helm. Thank you if you took the time to read to this lengthy story. I hope it's helpful and I hope you have is greater than experience - Albeit initially not a positive one - but one that ended up being a very very positive one. Not my very favorite, but not bad. I do like the hatch Chile sauce on the steak burrito. I don't find their fajita beef all that impressive and too many of their dishes are a pulled chicken variety. Wow, Chuy's has gone downhill. This used to be one of my favorite Tex-Mex restaurants in the Clear Lake area. Now, I don't think I'd come back if someone gave me free meals for life. It was that bad. I have to say that my waitress was extremely friendly when she showed up, but other than that, no thanks. First of all, the green sauce is disgusting. It isn't the creamy sauce you can get at other Mexican restaurants, it is the jalapeño seeded, watery crap you'd find at a local taqueria. Just awful. We sent our chips and salsa away because it was just crap. We both decided on the hatch chile tacos because they were on special and because we're trying to eat better. They were just bland. They came on corn tortillas and we're spicy as all get out while at the same time, bland. We were so disappointed that we each left our leftover food there and took off. I'm 100% Mexican, so I know what I'm talking about. The appetizers were super bland, the salsa verde is literally ranch. The salsa roja is just chunks of tomato. The queso is low quality. It's my first time and I came here because I was craving and STARVING for Mexican food. I got the combo fajitas. Such little pieces of meat. It didn't have flavor so we had to ask for salt & pepper & limes. The corn and flour tortillas fall apart. The rice & beans had no flavor. I don't recommend this place to anyone!! Have eaten at this location for years. The food was always amazing and great staff.. Last night not impressed.. Waiter was wonderful but the beef fajitas were HORRIBLE.. tuff , luke warm and chewy.. tortillas old and hard.. the waiter was kind and brought me new fresh tortillas.. but the meat was just awful.. I should have sent it back but I hate making a fuss.. totally my mistake. It was like mass produced ,get it from any chain restaurant meat. Not a bad mexican/southwest US fusion type place. I tried the seasonal green chile pork chicka chicka boom boom enchiladas. The waitress warned me about the spice and since I eat spicy food often I paid no attention. I have to admit, they were spicy but very flavorful. I was kinda surprised how much I liked them, given how I grew up around Mexican food. Overall not bad, just take into consideration it's not a really Mexican restaurant. Update the only thing that saved me as a customer was Beth. She was very nice and made things right. Im a long time customer of Chuy's never had any issue. Tonight 10/21 7:50pm we made an online order confirmed order number my card was charged. We drive 20 min to get there. Hostess says no order. Then we get the "manager" up there and he gives us a refund less than what I paid. He made no effort at all to fix this. No food. No nothing. We left with less than what we came with and minus gas. I have no clue what's happened to Chuys. The appropriate thing to do would be fix the order. Zero zero customer service so beware. I'm astounded. read more

We're just leaving Chuy's, Webster. Horrible. Worst meal we've had out in many months. Taco Bell would have been better. No cheese on the chicken quesadilla. Sodas flat. Sour cream and guac were off. Panchos were limp and dripping in grease. Only positive was our server who was efficient snd gracious, especially when no manager was available to speak with. Its greatly reduced menu and other cost-cutting have greatly reduced this Chuy's to a baseline fast food vendor. No need to go back. So much better to be found within a mile. A shame. read more

Usually visit Chuy's once a month and we normally order the Chicka-Chicka-Boom-Boom, queso, and either Tacos or Chicken Flautas. For the most part, the meals are pretty good, but the tacos, why are the shells ALWAYS so soggy? I order online for pickup, but by the time I eat them they just fall apart. I know what you're going to say. "It's probably because they've been sitting there too long." Um, no. This is what has happened every time they tell us "the order will be ready in 25 min." I will get there on time and wait an additional 40 minutes for our order to be picked up. That I find totally unacceptable. I understand that it's busy, don't have us just stand there in the lobby for almost an hour without telling us what's going on with our food. Also, and this isn't the only time this has happened, but the hostesses. Goodness. They need some additional training on being courteous. One time, on a Friday night, I was standing near the podium and a couple had walked in asking how long the wait would be. They were told by one of the hostesses that it would be an hour and a half. The couple gave this look of surprise and said, "Ok. Thank you." and turn to walk out. Just as they were doing so, the hostess responded with, "Next time don't come on a Friday!" I found that to be so rude. If I was the couple I would have turned around and said, "Don't worry, we won't be returning at all...ever." It wasn't only this hostess, but I have yet to encounter one without an attitude. Like I said, they need training. The other thing, they need to resolve the To-Go Parking situation. People park there and go sit in the restaurant. They aren't picking up squat. It makes it difficult for those who actually are picking up to find a parking spot. read more

This location has been here for years and somehow has disgusting food and horrible service. We got a margarita on the rocks without salt and somehow it was only pure lime juice and salt. It was one of the worst things I have ever tasted. The tortillas for the quesadillas were so thick you could hardly taste the cheese and were mediocre at best. How can someone mess up quesadillas. The queso we ordered tasted like it came straight out of a can and was warmed in a pot of refried beans. Their salsa is the only recommended thing but their green sauce tasted like ranch and sour cream mixed together. The water tasted like it came straight from the dishwater. How is this place open? My boyfriend loves this place and I usually like it, it's definitely not my favorite. I do like that they have a chimichanga and my son and I usually split it because it's plenty of food but this time it was over cooked and super greasy. There were pieces of it that my 14 year old son wouldn't even eat. Margaritas tasted very off too. I used to get the Texas martini or whatever it was called and it was a margarita served straight up in a martini glass made a little spicy with kale peon stuffed olives but our server told us they couldn't make it anymore. So we just ordered the house margaritas on the rocks and they were so bitter. I am in the restaurant industry and work as a manager for Pappas. They definitely need to be tasting all the bar product before each shift. I think the drinks were made with straight lime juice and not sweet n sour. I don't wanna judge this Tex-Mex restaurant too hard, but I do want to point out somethings I experienced tonight. The good: The location is right off the freeway and if you miss your NASA pkwy you can easily just turn around in the next exit. The front staff was respectful and nice. The bad: The salsa tasted funny; it tasted kinda like onion and a high dose of alcohol. It was fairly chunky and watery. The green sauce that my friend got was ok too it tasted like rust from a penny. Our waitress although was nice she kinda made me feel uncomfortable because she had these cat eye glasses on from the 50's and with me being the only black chick in there with an Asian chick it just felt very segregated and too old time for me. Plus, to add to the mixed vibe the place had decorations like that represented Elvis Presley era with diner chairs and hubcaps on the ceiling. Oh, and our waitress didn't seem too thrilled serving us while the next table over she had a ball with the other two diners. It was just too back in the day for me. And the ugly: I ordered a virgin piña colada and it tasted so out of place. Hint: this isn't my first piña colada. This was too icy, it wasn't smooth or creamy like I expected. I love Chuy's! The Westheimer location will always be first in my heart, but this one isn't bad. I especially like the cozy booths in the bar. The service is friendly and attentive. The food is delicious. My favorite dish is either cheese enchiladas or #3: a taco and a cheese enchilada. The margaritas are weak, but tasty enough. Oh Chuy's how I love you! I was so excited to see a Chuy's opening down in my neck of the woods but just hadn't been able to make it there until today. My company brought us here for a Christmas party lunch (thank you kind boss lady!) and I was uber excited to try Chuy's down here! Oh and to spend time with my coworkers, of course! :P We were a party of 12 and went about 11am, thinking we would have to wait forever but really I think it was about 10-15 minutes? Not very long at all. Of course the first thing ordered was the Creamy Jalapeno Dip....aka "crack" dip....mmm. The chips were fresh and the guacamole was DELICIOUS! Really, for a chain restaurant they have some freaking fantastic guacamole! I'm not crazy about their salsa as it's fresh pico de gallo and I don't like big chunks. Hey. Don't judge. I ordered a steak burrito and it was ginormous!! And delicious! It had green chili sauce on top and I ordered green chili rice and oh man it was good! Since hubby couldn't make it, he will be able to enjoy the half that I couldn't eat tonight. It was loud. Finally the other day when the wait was just too long elsewhere we decided to go to Chuys finally. I like the decor and the staff and service were fine. The prices seem a bit cheaper than Pappasitos and you have a longer happy hour. The queso dip was pretty delish. The salsa is really just Pico in a bowl but still not bad. I went for the Southwest enchiladas because it was different. They were damn good is all I can say. Homemade blue corn tortillas stacked with freshly-roasted, hand-pulled chicken, cheese & Green Chile sauce, topped with a fried egg. Yes they put a freakin fried egg on top! It was spicy,delicious, and unique for the area. Kids split fajitas which came with cheese and sour cream which most places usually charge you extra for. Still I was let down a bit. Soft chicken tacos where bland. Margaritas where tasty but drank 2 and honestly I have gotten a better buzz from a large Icee at the corner Valero station. Really some of the weakest margaritas in the area. Chuy's, plain and simple just get's it right. The food is consistently quality ingredients with great flavor whether dining in or carry out. We do both often but, I prefer eating in because I love their Mexican martini that's infused with green chilies. If you like margaritas and a little heat, you gotta give these a try. For carry out, they have their packing down pat. The nachos come laid out in a pizza like box on thicker than normal chips with the fajita meat chopped small enough that you don't have to bite through big chunks. All the fixings come on the side so as not to become a soggy mess. Chile Rellenos also come with the sauce on the side, no soggy here. I love their cheese Chile Rellenos. Both bean choices and rice choices are very good. Charro beans and green chili rice are what I choose most often. All of the sauces are great. If you don't care for one, try a different one, they have lots to choose from. read more

They often skimp on the Tomatillo Sauce, so you may want to ask for extra. Their salsa is different and quite tasty. The place is too loud and the service isn't exceptional, but the food overcomes it. I said no to the Has TV question where apparently others have said yes because it's listed in the main list of features. If there was a TV in the main restaurant I missed it.
