If this is the same chicken shop that was in "Town Center", they've gone downhill. Present chicken sandwich is not as good as it used to be. Their fish sandwich was still cold in the middle. Today their fries were cold, the beer from the tap was flat and warm. If you can't provide good fries which should be a mainstay of a restaurant like this, and correctly chilled draft beer!!! We have been there several times and the experience has been excellent every time. Also, if you get on their mailing list you will occasionally receive an email with a special. Most recently we were notified on a cold and windy day they were having a special to help deal with the weather consisting of a comfort food of tomato soup and a grilled cheese and chicken taco. The tomato soup was awesome, thick and flavorful. The chicken grilled cheese taco was big and tasty. I think the meal was $10 or so. Their weekend brunch is also very good. The chicken sandwich my friend and I ordered was not completely cooked. It was pink and tasted like rubber. I ate half and told the waitress to cook the other more thorough. She instead gave me a completely new sandwich. I took it home and it was also not cooked correctly. The meat inside should be white, not pink. The WORST Buffalo Mac I've had in my life. Thin watery white cheese with absolutely no flavor and the chicken on top was just chopped up chicken strips that looked like was fried in old fry oil cuz it was dark and soggy just falling apart. Would be way better with grilled chicken in my opinion. And worst thing was it was room temperature when it was served to me and the bites I took that had buffalo sauce on it was cold. Just very unappetizing I only ate a quarter of it and didn't even ask for a box to take the rest of it with me. Waisted my money and time to drive across town to try this place. Plus the waitress/bartender did not smile or spark conversation at all with me I had to keep trying to catch her eye to even order and get my check. If you know, you know.... Chx Shop 2.0 has nailed it! We left a piece of our heart and appetite with Mom and Pop but have found our love again! However, we knew they would be back to deliver on quality, value and service as they have always shown to our neighboring community. We have to give shout outs to some of our favorites that we missed from the OG Chx Shop. THEY DID NOT DISSAPOINT! The popcorn chicken is my absolute favorite go to snack on their menu! I tried them tossed in S&P for a yummy flavor burst and always take the sauce on the side for dipping so I can try a few dippers. The Huli Huli was a fun sweet and tangy yaki of sorts and my go to favorite is Mom's sauce with a little heat. It is a great middle of the road dipper. I have to admit though, my heart sank not seeing the Green Goddess on the menu this time around. Please consider bringing that back- even on the "off menu" would be AMAZING!! The OG Bad A$$ was on point as always. My absolute favorite burger was missed, adding bacon this time around was the perfect touch. Hubby tried the Brown Sugar Meatloaf and almost licked the plate clean. A great new addition to the menu for a comfort fix! The kids enjoyed their OG favs - cheeseburger and mac and cheese. BUT there is a new kid in town that stole their heart this time around and it was the Chocolate Frosty and fries!! We might all have to get an order next time. We can't wait to try some of the new items on the menu like the hot brown fries, bangers and mash and the classic chicken sando! We have been coming here since it first opened, and then reopened. The staff are friendly and we like the atmosphere. But the food has changed. The menu changed when it reopened and we were looking forward to trying new items. But after several visits, at least one of us has been unhappy. When you let them know you aren't happy with something, they don't offer to fix it or take it off your bill. I had very overcooked chicken, another visit was a brunch item, another was a to-go order. I won't go into detail but no apologies from the servers. They offer to wrap it up to-go. If I didn't like it when it was delivered, I don't think heating it up at home will help. They simply say that is how its made. As much as I like this place, no one in my group wants to go back. read more

They're back, and they're better than ever! I dropped in last Saturday (Feb 11) to check out their new weekend brunch menu and I can honestly say I was not only impressed what they offer, I'm also super excited to have a new destination on my list for mimosas and a great breakfast on the weekends! Since this was my first run, I tried their version of a Denver omelet (what better way to compare than try a menu item that just about everyone serves?)...all I can say is WOW! The eggs were soft but not undercooked (I don't think I've ever had them served this way, so I was surprised at first). There was a perfect amount and blend of protein, and the veggies were fresh and crisp, having been added after the eggs were cooked. While I like it when the veggies are sautéed or cooked along with the eggs, prepared in this way with the soft egg and the melted cheese really made all the flavors of the omelet pop...simply amazing! I know some might be saying "it's just a Denver omelet" but I seriously recommend giving it a try and you'll see what I mean! Since I was there with a few others, I also got to try a sample of other items from their menu like the French toast, which was simply AMAZING! Definitely on the sweeter side for breakfast, if that's your style, but something kids are sure to enjoy (I plan to bring the grandkids next time so they can order it and I can steal a few bites too!) How do I begin to talk about how great the Chx Shop is??? My young son, my fiancé and I have eaten there about 25 times now and we just love it! The staff create a wonderful ambiance that is laid-back, warm, family-oriented and super friendly.....the restaurant is always so clean and well stocked.....but then there is the food - it is simply AMAZING! The food is cooked to perfection and the portions are generous (so bring a big appetite!). I have been a vegetarian for over 25 years and now I have to call myself a meatloaf-etarian! The meatloaf is mouthwateringly delicious and while I try to keep myself from eating it too often it calls my name every time we are there. My son rates their chicken strips as the best he has ever had and my fiance has eaten nearly everything on the menu and will likely cycle through all the dishes again because they are so good! The chef frequently has specials that aren't on the regular menu that never fail to impress us. The beer and wine selection is quite good as well. we live close by and have been wanting to visit a new restaurant, today we felt like take out at mom and pops, it was fried chicken day! we ordered the 5 piece buttermilk chicken, Cole claw, smashed potatoe, and a side of Mac and cheese and French fries. this was a online order. the employees were very friendly and nice. the kitchen really, really needs help! the fries were not cooked we had to put in the air fryer when we got home, the chicken, looked good, but had no taste, Cole slaw, awful, no taste. the chicken was a 5 piece, but when we sat to eat we noticed it wasn't a 5 piece but a 4 piece, the breast was cut in half and they counted it as 2 instead of 1! that was bad! i ordered on line curly fries and they were regular fries, no taste. after spending to much for 2 plates of food, which we didn't eat all we will not visit the restaurant again, good luck guys, need some kitchen training. read more
