Everything was amazing from start today finish! We had the carpaccio, gnocchi, scallops and octopus as appetizers and all of them were A+. I had the filet and my family had the chicken parm and the sea bass. We all were blow away by the quality of everything. Everything about this place was lovely. The atmosphere is intimate but not so much that families can't enjoy together. It is a wonderful location for a date night though. The service ws divine. Any and all questions were answered. Everyone was very friendly and accomadating. It made the visit that much better. I will say though, I was hesitant with the food because Italian food isn't known for vegan food but I was pleasantly shocked. They had a vegan pasta dishes and it was amazing! We enjoyed CIBO so much that we dined there twice during our recent vacation to Fort Myers and it's at the top of our list of restaurants to return to next year! On our first visit, we enjoyed service by Wally in the dining room. He provided great recommendations and friendly service. On our second visit, we opted to dine at the bar and enjoyed the company of the local CIBO regulars for happy hour. The lively conversations were quite entertaining! The menu items we tried: Polpo Carbonizzato (charred octopus) - good, but probably wouldn't order again Spinaci (spinach salad) - delicious and fresh Chef's soup of the day - it was a butternut squash base and was lovely Spiedini di Gamberoni e Capusante - very tasty Lasagna Napoletana - amazing House made Ravioli of the day - made with pork and it was Heavenly! Spaghetti Alla Bolognese - meaty and rich Pistachio Crusted Corvina (Chef's dinner special ) - so, so good Cannoli with Pistachio Ricotta Filling - Hubby could've eaten a hundred of them! 3 things about this place: 1. Everyone at CIBO was very friendly from the beginning. You usually need to RSVP to sit at the booth or a nice table but since I didn't, they said it was okay to sit at one of the high tables. Our server was fantastic and the interior was very nice. The complimentary bread that comes with 3 sauces, was warm and soft. 2. Sous vide Veal chop with mushroom risotto and Sea bass with tomato risotto were ordered. Cooked to perfection. Veal chop is usually tender but I feel like this place made it more tender because of the sous vide. Sea bass was fantastic as well. 3. I'm not a big fan of mushrooms, but this mushroom risotto didn't have that much of mushroom flavor so it was perfect for my taste and the risotto was very creamy. Compared to the tomato risotto, I'd recommend the mushroom one. Highly recommend and job well done! Well I come here often I sit at the bar to have a meal and a cocktail. I was at the bR i had just sat . I don't as told ( not asked) that I could not sit there to move as there was a party of three. Well I was already sitting and Audra very loudly said you sit there n i won't serve you. I was rold to go sit in the corner seat. Now being a wounded vet i have a problem with being in closed in spaced. she was right de and disrespectful to say the least. This behavior from a bartender is uncalled fit. Totally. Two weeks previously i was there and I had talked to a couple and they were very accommodating as to moving a seat. Over. Audra acting rude and like a drill instructor actually yelled at me. Stating we don't as patrons to move. Hmm seems Audra has her own rules that suits her. I felt insulated and very embarrassed. But I have been coming here for a few years but I no longer will. A restaurant that knows what they are, very good Italian. Two pages of menu, plus the daily specials. The service is first class, with a well-informed team of professionals taking care of their customers. The food is fresh made, very flavorful, and creative. The meal is not rushed and tends toward continental service (clear the table before serving the next course). This was our first time here. IT WAS SO GOOD! Might be a top 5 lifetime dining experience for me (I've had a lot of lifetime of dining out - lol)! Truly a great experience and strongly recommend you give it a try! We started with the Calamari, tender and crispy rings and tentacles with delicious Diablo sauce and Lemon Caper Aioli, all in all a great first course. House Chianti and Pinot Grigio were great pairings for the Spiedini, Shrimp and Diver Scallops with Risotto and Broccolini and the Veal Chop. Both entrees had the absolute perfect cook on the proteins served with the perfect accompaniments and sauces,, the presentation was elegant, the service impeccable. Ended our meal with the house made Tiramisu, which was light and delicious. The decor is simple but clean so you can fully enjoy the meal. The Staff is friendly, knowledgeable, attentive and great ambassadors for Cibo. During dinner, we were planning our return trips with various friends and family. I hear about this place from Nextdoor of all places. We low expectations we had reservations for 8pm on a Friday. A buses dropped some waters and then Bret showed up to be our waiter. My girl went with the lobster mix dinner and I went with the filet med-rare. We also ordered grilled octopus and clams. Then clams were good. Surprisingly the octopus was grilled and prepared perfectly. A very welcomed surprise. Overall the meal was very reasonably priced. The Caesar salad was excellent, it tasted like it was made old school with an egg. Remember when the Caesar's used to be mixed in front of you with Qual eggs--ya those days don't come by often. Again, that was a welcome treat. We did have to wait for 10 minute to be sat, and the area around the restaurant is a bit sketchy so my girl didn't want to walk around. The plates were removed a bit slow after we finished. I'm sure it's not the waiters primary job to remove dirty plates--but staring at them made us not want desert. Overall, a good experience and we'll be back. To management: High potential but get the team to clean up the tables between courses--it changes the vibe from a cute Italian place to more of a multicultural diner. read more

We recently tried this restaurant for the first time. The carpaccio that my husband had was very good according to him. I had the bruschetta goat cheese was really tasty. The veal parm was excellent. Ate here last night with my boyfriend and loved it. I ordered the Frutti Di Mare and my boyfriend ordered the Dentice Opanoto. Both were cooked to perfection and the Dentice Opanoto was seasoned to perfection. The lobster and scallops in the Frutti Di Mare were super tasty and perfectly cooked. We also ordered the charred octopus, which was very tender and delicious. My boyfriend does not eat octopus and was impressed with how good it was. Finally, we ordered tiramisu for dessert and also enjoyed it. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming and created a great atmosphere. Not much else to say: Great food. Great wine. Hard to get reservations and when you are do they confirm 2xs after. The restaurant is in a windowless strip mall location. They would clearly do well opening a nicer location. That said, the food is pretty good. Prices like we have all come to expect these days. The menu seems to have changed since I was last there a year ago. Last time I was there the filet was good, as was the chicken parm. We also had a side of risotto they did not have this time. The octopus appetizer is only enough for 1. The gnocchi appetizer was light and very tasty. My friends had the special short rib ravioli w marsala. They liked it. But $28.00 for ravioli? Wow. I do wish the location was bigger and better atmosphere. But I do like their food. read more

Very unfortunate experience with this restaurant... My family and I were so very excited to try however from the moment we walked in we were treated so unpleasantly by the younger hostess. She was immediately very rude and unwelcoming. There was an older lady attempting to help us when we entered and she was very welcoming and helpful. Went to Cibo for dinner with my son and to meet his girlfriend. We had heard great things about this place and we were not disappointed. We started by sharing an order of fried calamari and an order of caprese. The calamari was well cooked and crispy and was served with two sauces, a creamy one that was good and a spicy marinara that was very good. The caprese was standard fare, large tomato slices and slices of fresh mozzarella drizzled with balsamic and olive oil. For dinner, everyone tasted each other's entrees and enjoyed them all. My son went off the specials menu with bourbon glazed salmon with toasted walnuts. Yummy! And I am not a "salmon guy." His girlfriend had a dinner portion of gnocchi in a truffle mushroom sauce. Very tasty! And I am not a "mushroom guy" either. My wife had the rigatoni alla vodka with shrimp. Fantastic! Huge perfectly cooked shrimp. And I had veal parmigiana with angel hair pasta. Quite possibly the best I've had since leaving NY 40 years ago. Tender yet meaty and crispy coated to perfection. Aside from Andrea taking home a little bit of her gnocchi, we all cleaned our plates. The portions were sized just right, not like some places that serve you a pound of pasta with everything. For desert we split a tiramisu and a banana blondie with ice cream. I had never heard of Cibo, but came with friends recently to celebrate their wedding anniversary. It's located in a litle, non-descript shopping center. Very crowded on a Saturday night. Seems like a local hot spot. Our server brought out fresh, warm bread with three different sauces and spreads for dipping. The bread was delicious. I had a red sangria ($8.00.); it was good, but the best I've ever had, but good. I opted for a 2nd glass! When my eggplant parmesan meal came it was so much food - Several breaded pieces of eggplant and a huge bed of angel hair pasta. It was very good. Service is very good. Food is very good. For years Cibo has been our go-to place. We still go occasionally, but there are other places we prefer now. Service: bar service is very good, but table service is not. Two of us ordered filets that were ordered medium-rare, and came out close to well done. The waitstaff only returned to bring dessert menu. We wanted to order another bottle of wine and never had the chance- we didn't want it with dessert. Food: pasta dishes are still excellent, but beef dishes are not- much better quality down the street Ambiance: wonderful We're hoping the food and service improves- we miss our favorite place! read more

We decided to give Cibo a visit , as many area restaurants are either closed or offering only curbside service. Tucked into a local strip mall, I was pleasantly surprised. When we arrived at 6pm, they were at 25% capacity & were informed they were fully booked, but we could sit at the bar. By 8pm it was packed to capacity, with every table and booth in use. So there is no social distancing available here. Staff is wearing masks and tables are sanitized, but being immunocompromised and a healthcare worker, I was concerned. But let's get to the purpose of our visit. Their amazing food and service. Our bartender was attentive and pleasant. A nice change from many local restaurants. We began with their warm bread, accompanied by a selection of butter, Balsamic Vinegar & oil, and a delicious Olive Tampenade. My companion chose the Fettucini Alfredo, which included mushrooms, sweet peas and Parmesan. She thoroughly enjoyed it. I chose the Chicken Parmesan, and was not disappointed. My chicken cutlet took up over half my plate, and was so large I only ate 1/3!!! The pomodora sauce was a nice accompaniment to the mozzarella cheese. They kindly substituted Alfred on my angle hair pasta. It had the perfect blend of ingredients, making it a creamy bowl of deliciousness. Needless to say, I'll be having the leftovers for several days. It was amazing. I also have to give cudos to their bartender, as I'm quite picky on my martini ingredients. He didn't bat an eye at my request and kept our drinks and waters filled. They also offer happy hour specials including wine and vodka. Win win there. The menu has been changed , probably to save prep time and to not allow folks to order lite meals .There were few starters and what was left was listed under salads ? ; You will order full meals or nothing !"A number of main dishes were missing .
