Cute spot with outdoor seating. Service was excellent thanks to Kimberly (amazing hostess), Carson (incredible server) and all who played a part in my experience. I had the calamari which was one of the best I've ever had. I had a side salad and the dinotte pizza. Soooooo yummy! Please be sure to get a side of Parmesan cheese and the spicy oil to drizzle and sprinkle over the pizza. Sooooooo good. I'm craving it now, but I'm back in Miami so I'll have to wait until my next visit.
Cibo was so amazing! The best pizza and pasta I have ever had. I'll be thinking about our meal for a while. It was so good. We had a reservation for 7pm on a Thursday night. We arrived a few minutes before then and were seated right away. Our server was super friendly and the service was quick. We ordered the Rigatoni al Forno (baked sausage rigatoni), the pesto orecchiette with pine nuts and potatoes, and the Tartufata pizza (prosciutto, sun dried tomatoes, and mushrooms). Everything was so good. We were starving and ate everything. Definitely good sizes to share. The patio is so cute. I wish we would have eaten out there, but we weren't sure how hot it was going to be. Plenty of street parking around. I would imagine it could get difficult to find parking depending on the time of the day. We will absolutely be back if we are ever in Phoenix.
My best friend and I are always looking for new places to try within the valley. We even keep a list! Cibo has been on the list for quite awhile and we finally gave it a try at the end of February. We doubled up on appetizers and went with the ciabatta garlic bread and the arancini. The arancini was unlike any I've tried before as it was meatless. I initially thought I'd miss the meat that's usually mixed in or atop arancini, but I did not. It was delicious and perfectly fried. We also really loved the garlic bread. It was everything garlic bread should be and was paired with a side of their rich marinara sauce. For our meal, we split the Margherita pizza. We were divided on if we should try a pizza or a pasta dish, but since pizza seemed to be what Cibo is known for, we went with that. The pizza was absolutely a good choice. The dough was incredible and the toppings were so robust and fresh. Since we were out celebrating my birthday, the folks at Cibo gave me a birthday crepe with a sparkler on top. It was so tasty and such a kind gesture. We were also really impressed by Cibo's service. Our server, Jamey, was attentive and helped guide us through our many questions about the menu items. We also really enjoyed sitting on their cozy patio--the weather was perfect that evening. I would not hesitate to return to Cibo in the future. Maybe we'll even try a pasta next time!
Salsiccia with spicy salame (4/5): Dough was soft and chewy but a bit too thick. Toppings were solid. Would've loved some char. Stopped here for our final night's dinner in Phoenix. Originally we had a steakhouse picked out, but made a change and headed here with a 9:30pm reservation. Located in a residential type area, the restaurant is inside a former house with a large outdoor seating area. Outdoor twinkle lights frame the areas and make this a great option if you prefer to dine outside. We had an indoor booking and checked in - immediately sat. It took a few minutes to get served but once we did, it was almost like the meal was in overdrive. That's a good thing. We ordered a margherita pizza to start which - with no exaggeration, came out in 3 minutes. Freshly made and dropped off. It was very good - slight char on the crust but airy dough, tangy sauce, good cheese and the most crucial part- basil. Textbook execution. For my entree I went with the gnocchetti sorrentina - gnocchi with a tangy red sauce, basil, and cheese inside. This was very good - the cheese in the sauce stuck to the fork but the flavors were spot-on. As dessert, I went with the Nutella milkshake which was served in what I remember as a glass chalice that used to be in those cat food commercials. It was very good and rich. Would recommend this as a cozy spot with authentic and fresh food. Our waiter - big curly hair and a mask - was testing his stand up with us throughout the meal but was harmless and did a great job.
Great service and an amazing find in downtown Phoenix! The pizzas are fantastic--perfectly cooked with fresh, flavorful toppings--and the pastas are just as impressive. Everything we tried was delicious, and the quality really stands out. Definitely a spot worth visiting if you're in the area! This little gem is Perfect for a date night as well.
The best Italian in downtown by far. I've been coming here for years. Reservations encouraged! Feels so homey inside and has a charming patio. The food is impeccable. I had never tried the pasta here and boy was I missing out! The gnocchi we got the time was soooo good! I just love this place you cannot go wrong. Di Notte is a must!
I adore this restaurant. It's so quaint and when the weather is nice I would recommend sitting outside under the trees and lights. Try to snag a reservation because they sometimes do have a wait. The food is amazing though! The pizza was so light and airy. We also ordered the Cannoncini which was the perfect way to end the meal. Will definitely be back!
Had a great solo date here on a Friday night. There was a 30 minute wait at 6:30, so make a reservation if possible. The bar is open seating. Carson was my server and delivered excellent service. He was attentive, upbeat, and made sure I felt taken care of. I did not enjoy my first pasta dish and he immediately offered a better recommendation. The bolognese tasted rich and balanced. The ambiance felt warm and romantic. Outdoor seating had soft lighting and beautiful foliage. Portions were generous and pricing felt fair for the quality. I would come back for the pasta and the service.
Cibo is the best pizza in town! The crust is slightly salty, perfectly crunchy on the outside and soft and doughy on the inside. The pizza flavors are unique and all delicious. They also have several delicious and unique pastas to chose from as well. The restaurant itself is so cute! It's in an old house and there is also a large patio that's surrounded by green with bistro lights overhead. Last but not least, the prices for the delicious food are very reasonable! Make reservations! It will be hard to get a table walking in, especially on a weekend around dinner time.
We had a very good experience at Cibo this afternoon for our date night. We decided on the little pepa and the fresh Barada. Personally for me, the bar told the show. However, the pizza was very light and airy and fluffy, and also almost equally delicious. They have options for soda, drinkers such as bottled cokes or canned cokes, and they have a very pretty outside patio with lights and space heaters. The service itself was very friendly, we had Emily as our server and she did a great job, taking care of us and having a great attitude decided to top off a great meal with sharing a Nutella crêpe, no regrets there!

Alright so this is probably going to be an unpopular opinion but I think this place is waaayyy overrated! The service was good and very quick! We ordered the calamari, eggplant parm and burrata as appetizers. The calamari came out súper hot and crispy but extremely salty. The sauce they give you with it though was excellent! The burrata... you can get the same thing at traders joes, nothing great about this. The eggplant parm came out super hot and very cheesy but again, nothing special, I've had better. The kids pizzas are a good deal I will say. Decent size and only $6.00 and the kids enjoyed them. We got two different pizzas for the adults, the Fume & the Diavola. The pizza dough is good, but the pizzas at Il Bosco are significantly better! The Diavola was very salty...so 2 super salty dishes served yesterday, and I have a high tolerance for salt. We also got the bolognese which was good and we got their special pasta which was the black truffle pasta. Now this truffle pasta was SOOOOOO DISSAPOINTING! For $30 we got noodles with butter and shaved black truffles on top that tasted like NOTHING! Never in my life have I had truffles that had absolutely no flavor to them. The pasta dish was exactly like my daughters kids butter pasta( just a different noodle) with flavorless truffles shaved on top with absolutely no flavor other than the greasy butter flavor. $405 check and I left feeling so underwhelmed and actually a little annoyed that we spent that much for nothing special. I'm giving 3 stars for the service and the fact that the food came out super hot. And like I said, the pizza dough itself was good but I would rather go to Il Bosco a million times over and eat better and spend less. Yes the space is cute and it was really nice to sit outside and enjoy the nice weather and have good service but not sure I'll be coming back. read more
Came here to meet her old friend the wife had wine when she felt like was just okay A little overpriced for the quality of the wine the pizza was pretty good it was a 4/5 the flavor was good the potato on it was very interesting the crust was nice and chewy. The Bolognese itself the sauce was good it really had a wine or alcohol taste to it but the noodles were tough I would give it a 3/5 . The portion sizes were reasonable we sat outside because there was an hour wait to get a table inside but the weather was nice. I absolutely love this intimate restaurant located in Downtown Phoenix. I been meaning to attend this place and I finally went this past Thursday. The place was quiet because I did arrive around the start of dinner hour. The place was cozy and had an Italian retro atmosphere to it. If you look around the place, there is a hidden gem to appreciate. The food was delicious! Very favorable taste! There are various menu options to choose from. Food was delish! Yum pear salad side of goat cheese! Great service thank you Bernie. Surprised our pizzas were created and served fast. Came here on a date with my boo thang and sat on the patio on a nice temperate afternoon. Service was kind, quick and attentive! We ordered the Noce to split with some prosciutto on top. The cutest little restaurant in downtown Phoenix. Such a fun vibe for a date night or a group of friends. Great patio area and lots of little nooks to eat inside the restaurant. Service was great. Food was great in general. The Ostia and pear salad were weak on flavor. The fried green beans were really good. The pizzas were pretty typical. I would say that the capricciosa was so soggy that it was hard to eat and the olives had no taste. Cacio e pepe pizza was on point. Dolce fuoco said it had spicy honey but that honey was not spicy. If I got back, I would seat outside because it was cuter outside than inside. Lastly, our server was really nice but she kept forgetting things that we asked for and rarely came to the table to check on us. read more
Came here for dinner last night with friends. Have wanted to come for a while. Great service and the staff had several recommendations themselves. Food was very good. We all shared the pappardelle and 2 wood fired pizzas. Wine was very good too. We split a small tiramisu and an Italian cheesecake, both of which were very nice and not overly sweet. Definitely a nice authentic style restaurant if you're looking for something in downtown PHX area. read more
Still the best pizza in AZ, hands down. Staff is always consistent and cheerful. Family-run and authentic as it can get here. Food is delicious, flavorful, and fresh. It doesn't get better than that. Cibo is a 5-star experience! The outdoor ambiance is absolutely beautiful--great for my family dinner, but it would also be an incredible date night spot. The service was out of this world, and the food exceeded all of our expectations. I had a margarita pizza and a beautiful salad, while my father enjoyed a gorgeous board of olives and cold vegetables, perfect for the warm summer night. Having been to Italy multiple times, I can confidently say Cibo hit the mark. My spritz was perfectly crafted, and honestly, you can't go wrong with anything you order here. If you have to choose a single Italian or Pizza restaurant for good food and quality service then this is the place. Overall I would recommend Cibo. Plenty of options on the menu and they have daily specials as well. This place is a hidden gem of the Italian restaurants in the valley. Everything tastes good overall, when you try a bunch of items here, there will be a few of you who will feel they have excellent quality here. Quick order and food gets served fast at your table with no long wait, the server asked if our table of 7 wanted the appetizers first, followed by each and everyone's entrees. We all decided to just have the kitchen bring them out ASAP when ready. We ordered a bunch of pizzas, charcuterie board, and few pasta dishes, Arancini, three of us decided on ordering a bottle of Chianti. Customer service shows how appreciative they are for your presence and how hard they try to keep you satisfied customers. Nice interiors, there is an outdoor seating area which no customers were in the mood for hot summer outdoor dining. But there was plenty of seating, and space for a group of us 7. Romantic atmosphere if you're on a date, but an overall well-decorated restaurant. Everything was clean and tidy overall in the restaurant, surprisingly none of us needed to use the restrooms. I'd say price point was excellent and not overpriced for sure. Worth going for a good Italian night out for pizza dine-in experience. This place does have an amazing pizza pie. I enjoyed every bite. The crust is so tasty. And the combination with the cheese and spiciness of the pepperoni made me smile, I want to go back asap. I would suggest to make reservations, but if you don't, you could still wait For an open spot. There's indoor and outdoor seating. Service was great. I went here for my best friend's birthday since we were craving Italian food and this was pretty good! They have a menu for specials every month I think and I think that's cool! The server was so nice and when she found out we were celebrating a birthday.. she got us a free dessert on the house :) We walked in and we did have to wait at least 15-30min for a table of 3 on a Friday evening, so definitely try to book a reservation ahead of time. The kitchen was backed up so we also for another basket of free bread for the longer wait. read more
I love Cibo and would recommend it to anyone! I've come here for dinner multiple times and it's always incredible. Tonight, I got the garlic bread and the gemelli al forno. Typically, I go with the pizza or the gnocchi though and I'll probably go back to that next visit. The ambience is perfect here; especially on the patio. There's lots of trees and string lights which create a lovely atmosphere. The interior of the restaurant is cool too as it has several small rooms. In addition, the service is always professional and prompt! It does get busy here so I try to always make a reservation in advance. I usually don't have an issue finding free street parking nearby. read more

Highly recommend this place for good Italian food! I travel a lot, especially internationally and I can say this place has good, authentic Italian food. Amazing pizza in an old 1913 bungalow. Parking is scarce, we went for lunch. What a neat atmosphere. Very eclectic and the pizza to die for. We had a sausage and just right for two. Friendly service and the price was great for what we got. Watched someone getting a birthday dessert and they put little fireworks fountains in them. Pretty awesome! read more

This place was absolutely perfect for my birthday celebration! Made a reservation a week 1/2 in advanced outside at 6:30, we were seated right away at a table outside. The ambiance/lighting is so endearing, felt so cozy (especially with the heaters on). Our server Jamie was very sweet and attentive as well. We started off with some wine and ordered calamari for an appetizer. The calamari was crispy and delicious. I ordered the salsiccia pizza which was a good amount of food and paired lovely with my glass of red wine. Took some home for leftovers as well. They even brought out a yummy chocolate crepe for my birthday with a candle/sparkler, which was a very sweet ending to the dinner. Food was overall impeccable, 10/10. THIS IS THE BEST ITALIAN RESTAURANT IN PHOENIX HANDS DOWN! The ambiance, the food, the service, the wine!?!? All of it exceeds expectations, especially given that the prices are ACTUALLY REASONABLE!! This place feels like it was picked up right out of Italy and transported to be in the city of Phoenix. It's truly hard to beat and I wish there were more locations (especially across the country since I'm not from Phoenix and only ever get to go when I visit)! This place will remain one of the BEST Italian restaurants I've ever been to, and that's including the ones that I've been to while spending over a month IN ITALY!! Wonderful! My bf and I came a few weeks ago when we moved into the neighborhood. We had an appetizer board and a tatufata pizza that was amazing. It was a race for the leftovers. We have been so busy I didn't realize I didn't review. Buuuut, tonight we went again for a double date with some friends and we all had a lovely time. My aperol spritz was made well and we had the rice ball appetizer, which was fantastic. I had the gnocchi and the creamy cheesy sauce with the truffle flavor was amazing. My boo had the calzone and said it was fantastic--the sauce was very flavorful and fresh. My Italian friend had a pizza and said it was fantastic and his wife had a different pasta which was good but honestly we both thought the gnocchi I ordered was the better dish--it was just so rich and savory and delicious. Our waitress was attentive and very nice--she checked on us many times, just very good service. I didn't catch her name but she was clearly experienced and very capable. The kitchen must have been on it too because the food definitely came out in a reasonable time--I would say downright speedy for the quality.. I've only been twice but so far everything I have tried was tasty and I'm happy we live nearby. read more

Service is always excellent. The outdoor setting is beautiful and perfect for a date night. There was live music yesterday and the musician was fabulous. The food is great, my sisters and I especially love the 2 different types of gnocchi. They also love the bolognese. But truthfully, I was kind of disappointed with the pizza yesterday because it didn't have much of a crisp to it. It was floppy. The cheese just fell off. (Maybe it's just a preference thing for me but seemed like it was a little underdone.) I wouldn't have normally cared but the food is fairly expensive so that was a little bit of a let down. The Nutella "milkshake" is delicious btw! If you've never tried CIBO, definitely give it a try! read more
I've seriously wanted to come here for 10 years. It is hard to get reservations and I never think ahead! That is..until this year. A group of us wanted to come together so I made reservations 3 weeks in advance, to dine on the patio. Only 2 of our party of 10 had been here before (and of course they loved it). The patio is lovely. So peaceful and beautiful! The service was amazing and the food delicious. Pizza Neapolitana is my absolute fave BUT if I see gnocchi on a menu I have to try it. The gnocchi with prosciutto and truffle oil holy smokes it was amazing. I had everyone at the table taste test it and we all loved it. The only disappointment is some in our group do not drink beer and wine and were bummed there was not a full bar. They really wanted a negroni! Of course I am a wine drinker so I was fine haha. It was so good and I really look forward to returning with friends and family for years to come. read more
Spicy Salami pizza 4.5. MNNNN! Peach & prosciutto pizza 4.2. I think I'd grill the peaches to help pop the flavor and yet, it was still DELIGHTFUL Pizza dough is more like a nice pita texture. We both enjoyed it. Thin in the middle, puffy on the edges. The burrata plate with sweet little tomatoes / arugula and drizzled with a delectable delight ..4.7. For a perfect 5 I'd love the burrata to be creamier and the French bread toast to be a wee more sour or denser. It was more than nice as was and as my husband stated we might come back just for the appetizers alone. We had the marscopone raspberry desert. It was good but not enough to reorder. I'll take our servers suggestion next time. Service was a 10. She was spot on in every way!!! No wait at 4:15pm on a Friday. We will happily return in the Fall with friends in tow and sit outside and relish food and wine on the sweet patio. read more

It was a beautiful night to sit on their gorgeous patio. The service was wonderful and the food was pretty good as well. My kids loved the margarita pizza and ate it all. We split half sausage and half pepperoni for ours. The flavor was delicious, but I just wish the crust was a little less floppy. Nonetheless, it was still a delicious meal and I would definitely come back for the ambience, flavorful pizza, and delicious wine. Great location if you want to eat there prior to going to a concert or sports event. read more

We had our rehearsal dinner in the carriage house and it was perfect for about 20 adults and 5 kids. The private bar was great for our group and the patio was really nice to let the kids run around in. The tables were packed but not cramped and the food was so good! We had a couple guests with dietary restrictions that they were happy to accommodate for with no problems. Overall, one of the best deals you'll find for group dining without spending thousands of dollars. It was a really good price for all the food you got plus a designated bar tender and a private entrance to the patio and house that was separate from the main restaurant. read more

Absolutely love this charming & delicious spot! I've been a couple times and the food is always amazing. The service is also reliable! It can get busy so reservations may be nice to have, although they do save space for walk ins--there's also limited bar seating where you can order food as well. The patio is full of string lights & charm adding whimsy to the overall dining experience. How is the parking?
You have to park on the street basically. We parked down the street behind the street the restaurant was on.

Their option for vegan pizza is leaving off the cheese, but there are so many topping combinations to make it yummy. The crust is amazing.

Hello! Yes we do! Plenty of heaters for the winter moths.

Yes, there are. The night we were there it was 100°+ out and the patio was jumping!

Live music is scheduled Friday, Saturday, and Sundays. Though cancellations do happen with the performers.

Rachel gave an excellent answer. Casual is fine - I've worn scrubs, jeans, and been pretty casual every time, but beachwear and grungy clothes would be too much.

yes, it depends on the day but usually on the weekends they have live music on the patio. it makes for a great night under the stars with delicious food!
Easy access parking?
There's free parking on the side of Cibo. There are certain time requirements though for the free parking. I believe it's 1 hour parking until 6pm. After 6 it's free.
Any vegetarian pasta?
Yes ask your server and they will be happy to guide you. Their servers are very helpful and knowledgeable.
