Great lunch spot. Friendly service and delicious food. The price is right too. It's cozy inside but there is also great patio dining if the weather is nice. Our waitress was very attentive and had good menu knowledge.
Has an amazing dinner here with a friend! We made reservations but instead opted to sit at the bar once we arrived. We had great service, yummy food, and delicious seasonal drinks! We both got the Sgroppino (frozen prosecco) to drink, one in strawberry and one in peach, and they were perfect for a hot summer evening. I had the Tartufata pizza and it was absolutely delicious. Tons of fresh mushrooms and finished with a truffle oil that had so much flavor. Will absolutely be back to try more of their pizzas when I'm back in this area of Phoenix.
Being a native Arizonian- I've been raised on the warmth and yumminess of Cibo! I had the pleasure of visiting AZ again with some out of state friends who absolutely loved what they got- as I always do! The staff is welcoming and the overall vibe is classy yet casual enough you can come at any time and enjoy the many phenomenal options! I highly recommend the Margherita Pizza, Arancini, Burrata, Gnocchi etc etc! If you're looking for the perfect cozy & filling italian food in AZ, look no further!
We came here on a whim hoping to get in & luckily we were seated right away on a Saturday after 7pm. Probably lucky it was the summer time! We started with the green beans and burrata - both were great but the green beans were phenomenal with the dipping sauce. Now to the best part - Cacio de Pepe pizza. Highly recommend. May even be better in this form than pasta form. We also got a red pie but we both were obsessed with the Cacio de Pepe. Server was very friendly and on top of it. Love the quaint setting.
Cibo remains one of downtown Phoenix's go-to spots--both a local favorite and a destination for visitors--and it's easy to see why. The setting does a lot of the work: a large, charming garden with plenty of outdoor seating that gives the whole place a cozy, almost village feel. Inside, there's a small bar that's tough to get into, but it's really your only option if you're walking in without a reservation and don't want to wait an hour or more. The kitchen is usually the highlight. With an Italian chef behind it, everything leans fresh and well executed--pizzas consistently shine, and the salads are just as strong. This time, though, the bolognese was a miss. The pasta was clearly overcooked, which stood out given how reliable the food typically is--felt more like an off night than the norm. The wine-by-the-glass list is solid and approachable, and the many awards feel well deserved overall. A diverse staff adds to the cosmopolitan yet relaxed atmosphere. Even with the misstep, Cibo holds its place as one of the better all-around dining experiences downtown.
I was there for dinner with a group of 8, it was the first Friday. Getting seated took a little while and we had made our reservations ahead of time. Pizza was good and I got myself bolognese pasta, I had put in a few customizations and it was accounted for. Dessert was fire. If I'm around the grand ave I'd go back again
Went from 5 to 3 Stars; only because past experiences were so good! Went in for lunch the other day and the service was AWFUL! There were kids at the drink station filling up cups. We were seated and immediately after sitting down I literally couldn't hear anything anyone was saying at my table. Most the customers were crammed into the front right room and it was impossible to hear anyone at my table with loud women surrounding us enjoying lunch (which is fine) but break up the crowd a little.. I immediately stood up and asked to be moved so we could atleast hear each other. The young teen who Sat us was very helpful and moved us to a different table in the back right. When I tried to order the appetizer, I said "Yes, (looking at the waitress) we'd like to split a Caprese ( glances at my daughter to confirm in a questioning voice hesitating at the end) The waitresses said, "ok, I'll come back in a few when you figure it out" obviously not willing to wait a few seconds for a confirmation. We just sat there going Wow?!? That was wild, we also had our pizza orders ready but ended up waiting till she wandered back our way. The entire time we felt like we were keeping her from her kids? Grandkids? We definitely put her out, drinks were not offered beyond the first, I had to ask for a second one. The pizzas came, but not mine. I was informed it was wrong and they had to remake it. After my pizza finally came I realized it was still rather doughy and undercooked. We moved on as my daughters were done eating thier pizza and one of them grabbed boxes and we boxed them and waited to order crepes. We finally got our crepes and mine didn't look gf and was missing the allergy flag. We waited a few and I finally got up and went to the front room, the 2 teen girls (servers? They were serving) were messing around in the front room and almost ran into me when I FINALLY went up front to say My food had been messed up after it was dropped, no one checked back. They kept messing around and then stopped and looked at me asking if I needed help. I said YES please. She went into the side room to the front left and the waitress got up from the table where she was sitting with the other kids (that were at the drink fountain when we'd walked in.) She asked what she could help me with... I told her my gf pizza was not cooked all the way; I'd thrown it into a box (that we'd actually went to get) and I'll reheat it properly later and eat it, but the crepe I was concerned as there was not an allergy flag and it looked JUST like my daughters texture wise. I'm familiar with the crepes and I REALLY didn't think it was gf. She said she would not do anything about the pizza since I didn't mention it prior but the crepe was indeed gluten free. A little stunned I again said I would take the pizza home and reheat, I didn't ask for anything in regards to the pizza as they reheat well... and I would not eat the crepe, I truly didn't think it was gf! She said they'd remake it. I replied no thank you. (I'd already sat once while my party ate, for the gf pizza to be remade... I wasn't doing that again. With an attitude she told me she'd remove it from the bill! One bite was cut out and STILL on the fork, it should but have been an issue. I love Cibo and the food is amazing and it's worth the drive to come from Surprise for a treat, but that was a bit much...I'll be back, but I'll definitely ask for a different server!
Cibo was so amazing! The best pizza and pasta I have ever had. I'll be thinking about our meal for a while. It was so good. We had a reservation for 7pm on a Thursday night. We arrived a few minutes before then and were seated right away. Our server was super friendly and the service was quick. We ordered the Rigatoni al Forno (baked sausage rigatoni), the pesto orecchiette with pine nuts and potatoes, and the Tartufata pizza (prosciutto, sun dried tomatoes, and mushrooms). Everything was so good. We were starving and ate everything. Definitely good sizes to share. The patio is so cute. I wish we would have eaten out there, but we weren't sure how hot it was going to be. Plenty of street parking around. I would imagine it could get difficult to find parking depending on the time of the day. We will absolutely be back if we are ever in Phoenix.
Great service and an amazing find in downtown Phoenix! The pizzas are fantastic--perfectly cooked with fresh, flavorful toppings--and the pastas are just as impressive. Everything we tried was delicious, and the quality really stands out. Definitely a spot worth visiting if you're in the area! This little gem is Perfect for a date night as well.
My favorite place for pizza in Phoenix. The mushroom truffle w/ pepperoni added is my go-to. Their gluten-free pizza is SO good and is Neapolitan style with a puffy crust and everything. As someone with celiac, I've never had an issue. Always get a charcuterie too. GF bread for that is now an up-charge. Haven't been in years, so this was news to me but it was fine. Still my favorite pizza spot in the area. Especially outside on the patio!
Cute spot with outdoor seating. Service was excellent thanks to Kimberly (amazing hostess), Carson (incredible server) and all who played a part in my experience. I had the calamari which was one of the best I've ever had. I had a side salad and the dinotte pizza. Soooooo yummy! Please be sure to get a side of Parmesan cheese and the spicy oil to drizzle and sprinkle over the pizza. Sooooooo good. I'm craving it now, but I'm back in Miami so I'll have to wait until my next visit.
The best Italian in downtown by far. I've been coming here for years. Reservations encouraged! Feels so homey inside and has a charming patio. The food is impeccable. I had never tried the pasta here and boy was I missing out! The gnocchi we got the time was soooo good! I just love this place you cannot go wrong. Di Notte is a must!

A quaint converted place in the arts district. I haven't been back for years, but took my daughter out to lunch today. Pizza is the vibe and it was good. Calamari for an app was good too, but something was missing. Maybe frozen, but not sure. I had the lunch (personal) diavola pizza and it was just good. I like a crust, but this seemed to be a lot of crust. And, I'm sorry....please don't ever serve crushed pepper in a tiny Shaker jar! Please get the jars with suits in them so something actually comes out! I looked liked I was having a spasm until I just took the lid off! Overall, nice place, especially outdoors and decent food. A favorite downtown spot and this time went before the First Friday event in Roosevelt Row. Great vibes especially this time of year with the great weather, must sit outside. Pretty delicious!!! We ordered garlic bread, 3 pizzas, and 1 pasta and the pasta was okay but the pizzas were pretty good! We loved the thin crust. We did order too much food lowkey but we took everything home. The ambience is really cute but the parking is just street parking. Would recommend! read more
THE cutest outdoor patio with delicious pizzas and pastas! I started the meal with a glass of pinot noir which paired great with the pizzas. We had a margherita, pepperoni, and genova pizza which were all delicious - I especially liked the genova as it was a more unique flavor combination! We also had the pappardelle bolognese and the gemelli al forno. The pastas were both great but I would favor the gemelli al forno. The pasters were also great as leftovers the next day too! Wow New favorite place in Phoenix. This place exceeded expectations. I highly reccommend a reservation in advance and they do book up quickly. Beautiful outdoor area with lots of shade. The menu had some nice apps pasta and pizza. They even had gluten free pasta , pizza, and crepes. My partner got thr gnocchi and it was the softest gnocchi with such flavor. The Quatro formagio pizza was unbelievable! If there has nit been a gluten free sign I would have not believed them. Easily the best gluten free pizza I have ever had. For dessert my partner had the suzette crepe and I had the glutej fr3 chocolate marscaopon3 crepe. Once again couldn't believe it was gluten free because it was sooooooo good. The prices were also cheaper then e pected and portions quite large. We walked away with half a pizza to take home. Immediately booked a new reservation after leaving it was so good. read more

We hosted a private birthday celebration in Cibo Pizzeria's Carriage House, and I truly could not be more grateful for how seamless and special the entire experience was. From the very beginning, Michelle made the planning process incredibly easy. Her communication, attention to detail, and genuine care made organizing this event feel simple and stress free, which is especially meaningful when planning a birthday for someone you love. Everything was clearly explained and thoughtfully coordinated to ensure our needs were met. During the event, Sooki took wonderful care of our group all night. Service was warm, attentive, and effortless, allowing us to fully enjoy the evening. While I did not get to meet the entire kitchen team, they absolutely deserve recognition. The food was outstanding, from the arancini and osteria salad with shaved parmesan to the variety of pizzas, all of which were flavorful, beautifully prepared, and just as delicious as I remembered from past visits. Dessert was the perfect ending to the night. The Nutella crepes, served with ice cream, were a huge hit and a memorable favorite among our guests. It was the ideal sweet touch to close out an already incredible meal. The Carriage House itself is a beautiful and unique setting for a private event, and both my guests and my partner, the birthday celebrant, could not stop raving about how perfect the evening was. Between the food, service, atmosphere, and ease of planning, the experience exceeded expectations. Thank you to Michelle, Sooki, the kitchen team, and everyone at Cibo Pizzeria for creating such a memorable celebration. Excellent is the review. Everything from food, to ambience, to service was excellent. The food I ordered - calamari and pizza polpettine were so delicious. I loved the ricotta cheese stuffed crust. The outdoor patio is massive. Looked like there was more seating outside than inside but there is plenty of seating either way. The outside is decorated beautifully with stringed lights for a nice cozy outdoor dining experience. My sister and I were seated inside. It was nice but as I glared out the window at the pato area I felt like I was on punishment lol. Reservations are highly recommended. There was a line a outside maybe for walk-ins. This restaurant has been so hyped up that getting a reservation for two people at a reasonable dinner time on the weekend was difficult. However, there was availability on a Wednesday, so my friend and I decided to give it a try. There is no designated parking area, just street parking. Fortunately we found a spot just a 2-minute walk away. The entrance of the restaurant is adorable with a patio and string lights. There is a bench along the walkway where folks were seated and waiting for a table. Inside there's a small bar and tables both to the left and right of the bar. We sat right by a window where you can see the side patio with a few tables. Our table was a bit small for the three dishes we ordered plus our own two plates. We ate family style and shared the burrata appetizer ($16) and two pizzas. I love the toasted bread that came with the burrata. It also had little tomatoes and prosciutto with a balsamic glaze. There were so many choices for pizza, both red and white. We decided to try the popular Polpettine pizza ($20, red pizza with small meatballs and crust stuffed with ricotta) and the Di Notte ($16, white pizza with five cheeses and spicy salami). Both were full of flavor. The crust bottom was thin and a tad soggy. The outer crust looked thick, but it was actually light and not dense. Of course we had to try the Tiramisu ($14) as well. You can tell that it was made from scratch there. I love that the taste and texture were light because it keeps you reaching for more! Overall I'd say this place does meet the hype. It has a very cozy atmosphere, and it would be a cute date night spot on their patio. read more

Have been here twice now and the food is great... the service, not so much, both times I've been here it was lackluster. They don't have a full bar which is fine but the most recent time here our drinks (aperol spritz and a beer) didn't come out until after we only had a few bites left of our food. Great vibes outside on the patio if the weather is nice, the indoor seating is pretty small. read more
Came here to meet her old friend the wife had wine when she felt like was just okay A little overpriced for the quality of the wine the pizza was pretty good it was a 4/5 the flavor was good the potato on it was very interesting the crust was nice and chewy. The Bolognese itself the sauce was good it really had a wine or alcohol taste to it but the noodles were tough I would give it a 3/5 . The portion sizes were reasonable we sat outside because there was an hour wait to get a table inside but the weather was nice. Alright so this is probably going to be an unpopular opinion but I think this place is waaayyy overrated! The service was good and very quick! We ordered the calamari, eggplant parm and burrata as appetizers. The calamari came out súper hot and crispy but extremely salty. The sauce they give you with it though was excellent! The burrata... you can get the same thing at traders joes, nothing great about this. The eggplant parm came out super hot and very cheesy but again, nothing special, I've had better. The kids pizzas are a good deal I will say. Decent size and only $6.00 and the kids enjoyed them. We got two different pizzas for the adults, the Fume & the Diavola. The pizza dough is good, but the pizzas at Il Bosco are significantly better! The Diavola was very salty...so 2 super salty dishes served yesterday, and I have a high tolerance for salt. We also got the bolognese which was good and we got their special pasta which was the black truffle pasta. Now this truffle pasta was SOOOOOO DISSAPOINTING! For $30 we got noodles with butter and shaved black truffles on top that tasted like NOTHING! Never in my life have I had truffles that had absolutely no flavor to them. The pasta dish was exactly like my daughters kids butter pasta( just a different noodle) with flavorless truffles shaved on top with absolutely no flavor other than the greasy butter flavor. $405 check and I left feeling so underwhelmed and actually a little annoyed that we spent that much for nothing special. I'm giving 3 stars for the service and the fact that the food came out super hot. And like I said, the pizza dough itself was good but I would rather go to Il Bosco a million times over and eat better and spend less. Yes the space is cute and it was really nice to sit outside and enjoy the nice weather and have good service but not sure I'll be coming back. read more

I'm not sure which is better at Cibo... the food or the patio ambiance! This is such an adorable spot tucked away in a little house in Downtown Phoenix with a quaint, romantic courtyard for fans of patio dining. The Calzone is my favorite filled with ricotta and meats with the most amazing wood-fired dough. The pasta is fresh and flavorful! The portions are generous. Definitely order the fresh crepes for desert. read more

Came here on a date with my boo thang and sat on the patio on a nice temperate afternoon. Service was kind, quick and attentive! We ordered the Noce to split with some prosciutto on top. I absolutely love this intimate restaurant located in Downtown Phoenix. I been meaning to attend this place and I finally went this past Thursday. The place was quiet because I did arrive around the start of dinner hour. The place was cozy and had an Italian retro atmosphere to it. If you look around the place, there is a hidden gem to appreciate. The food was delicious! Very favorable taste! There are various menu options to choose from. I 1000% will be returning back due to my wonderful first time experience! So worth the visit! :) read more
Came here for dinner last night with friends. Have wanted to come for a while. Great service and the staff had several recommendations themselves. Food was very good. We all shared the pappardelle and 2 wood fired pizzas. Wine was very good too. We split a small tiramisu and an Italian cheesecake, both of which were very nice and not overly sweet. Still the best pizza in AZ, hands down. Staff is always consistent and cheerful. Family-run and authentic as it can get here. Food is delicious, flavorful, and fresh. It doesn't get better than that. Cibo is a 5-star experience! The outdoor ambiance is absolutely beautiful--great for my family dinner, but it would also be an incredible date night spot. The service was out of this world, and the food exceeded all of our expectations. I had a margarita pizza and a beautiful salad, while my father enjoyed a gorgeous board of olives and cold vegetables, perfect for the warm summer night. Having been to Italy multiple times, I can confidently say Cibo hit the mark. My spritz was perfectly crafted, and honestly, you can't go wrong with anything you order here. If you have to choose a single Italian or Pizza restaurant for good food and quality service then this is the place. Overall I would recommend Cibo. Plenty of options on the menu and they have daily specials as well. This place is a hidden gem of the Italian restaurants in the valley. Everything tastes good overall, when you try a bunch of items here, there will be a few of you who will feel they have excellent quality here. Quick order and food gets served fast at your table with no long wait, the server asked if our table of 7 wanted the appetizers first, followed by each and everyone's entrees. We all decided to just have the kitchen bring them out ASAP when ready. We ordered a bunch of pizzas, charcuterie board, and few pasta dishes, Arancini, three of us decided on ordering a bottle of Chianti. Customer service shows how appreciative they are for your presence and how hard they try to keep you satisfied customers. Nice interiors, there is an outdoor seating area which no customers were in the mood for hot summer outdoor dining. But there was plenty of seating, and space for a group of us 7. Romantic atmosphere if you're on a date, but an overall well-decorated restaurant. Everything was clean and tidy overall in the restaurant, surprisingly none of us needed to use the restrooms. I'd say price point was excellent and not overpriced for sure. Worth going for a good Italian night out for pizza dine-in experience. Food was great in general. The Ostia and pear salad were weak on flavor. The fried green beans were really good. The pizzas were pretty typical. I would say that the capricciosa was so soggy that it was hard to eat and the olives had no taste. Cacio e pepe pizza was on point. Dolce fuoco said it had spicy honey but that honey was not spicy. If I got back, I would seat outside because it was cuter outside than inside. Lastly, our server was really nice but she kept forgetting things that we asked for and rarely came to the table to check on us. read more
This place does have an amazing pizza pie. I enjoyed every bite. The crust is so tasty. And the combination with the cheese and spiciness of the pepperoni made me smile, I want to go back asap. I would suggest to make reservations, but if you don't, you could still wait For an open spot. There's indoor and outdoor seating. Service was great. They brought out the food very quickly, and we're very attentive. Eating outside, was pretty cool. Whether was decent, and the lighting made it a little romantic. I went here for my best friend's birthday since we were craving Italian food and this was pretty good! They have a menu for specials every month I think and I think that's cool! The server was so nice and when she found out we were celebrating a birthday.. she got us a free dessert on the house :) We walked in and we did have to wait at least 15-30min for a table of 3 on a Friday evening, so definitely try to book a reservation ahead of time. I love Cibo and would recommend it to anyone! I've come here for dinner multiple times and it's always incredible. Tonight, I got the garlic bread and the gemelli al forno. Typically, I go with the pizza or the gnocchi though and I'll probably go back to that next visit. The ambience is perfect here; especially on the patio. There's lots of trees and string lights which create a lovely atmosphere. The interior of the restaurant is cool too as it has several small rooms. In addition, the service is always professional and prompt! It does get busy here so I try to always make a reservation in advance. I usually don't have an issue finding free street parking nearby. read more

Best pizza in Phoenix - tastes like something you'd eat in Italy! Had an aperol spritz and a delicious salad too. We went early on a Friday night and were seated on the lovely patio. My daughter had a pesto pasta dish that was light and flavorful. Only drawback to this restaurant is finding parking but I am not going to deduct a star due to that - that's downtown . read more

Amazing pizza in an old 1913 bungalow. Parking is scarce, we went for lunch. What a neat atmosphere. Very eclectic and the pizza to die for. We had a sausage and just right for two. Friendly service and the price was great for what we got. Watched someone getting a birthday dessert and they put little fireworks fountains in them. Pretty awesome! read more

How is the parking?
You have to park on the street basically. We parked down the street behind the street the restaurant was on.

Their option for vegan pizza is leaving off the cheese, but there are so many topping combinations to make it yummy. The crust is amazing.

Hello! Yes we do! Plenty of heaters for the winter moths.

Yes, there are. The night we were there it was 100°+ out and the patio was jumping!
What day of the week do you have live music?
Live music is scheduled Friday, Saturday, and Sundays. Though cancellations do happen with the performers.
Casual attire or more dressy?
Rachel gave an excellent answer. Casual is fine - I've worn scrubs, jeans, and been pretty casual every time, but beachwear and grungy clothes would be too much.

Do they have live music?
yes, it depends on the day but usually on the weekends they have live music on the patio. it makes for a great night under the stars with delicious food!
Easy access parking?
There's free parking on the side of Cibo. There are certain time requirements though for the free parking. I believe it's 1 hour parking until 6pm. After 6 it's free.
Any vegetarian pasta?
Yes ask your server and they will be happy to guide you. Their servers are very helpful and knowledgeable.
