four slices of pizza on a red plate

Cicis used to be my childhood place! My parents would take me at least once every week or every other week and the thought of unlimited pizza for $6-7 was insane. I saw an ad that they were doing $4.99 buffet specials on Monday and Tuesday so I decided to check it out. This Cici's was pretty spacious -- not the biggest I've been to but still plenty of room. I got the dine-in buffet and started eating. They didn't have a lot of pizza selection unfortunately, but I was still able to get the spinach pizza, buffalo chicken pizza, marghetita pizza, breadsticks and pasta. One of my favorite pizza is the bbq chicken one but they didn't have that and since I was dining alone, I didn't want to bother the kitchen for a whole pizza. The pizzas were all buffet quality pizza -- you should not expect high quality pizza here. Some of the pizzas seemed old as it felt like it was sitting on the counter for quite a bit. But what do you expect at Cici's. I also always appreciated the chicken noodle soup and the pasta bar they had, which isn't anything special but a nice side of carbs for sure. And last but not least -- I couldn't finish without some cinnamon rolls. Cici's has some of the best cinnamon rolls hands down and I'm still head over heels for them even at age 26. Eating at Cici's was definitely a trip down memory lane -- I was shocked to see the actual buffet is now $8.99. Still cheaper than a lot of places but I remember when it was $5.99. I think the offer is until mid February so I'll stop by again and hopefully they'll have some of my favorites.

This is the busiest I've ever seen a cicis, probably because it was a game day, but as busy as they were the pizzas and sides were always stocked and there was no wait time. There literally were almost no tables available, it was very impressive to see the food stocked up as quickly as it was, everyone was pulling their weight getting three tasks done! Great job!!

Either we got lucky or the timing was right since we did not have anyone in line in front of us. They gathered us in a group with a guide to help everyone navigate through the experience. My son had a great time running around. I love how they kept it engaging for the kids, but some of the activities were too advanced for my toddler to follow. For example, he could not figure out how to find the blue styrofoam roll and place that on the puzzle board to unlock the village. There were also too many kids in the cage area, so it was hard to get him up there to throw the ball at Gargamel. At the end, he did not want to put on the VR goggles, so we went straight to the gift shop. Our favorite activity was the obstacle course. The kids had loads of fun climbing and running to and fro. I personally like the Smurf village, which was absolutely adorable with vibrant colors. You can also meet the Smurf characters for photo-op. It was definitely a fun experience that was not too congested with others. Entrance fee definitely on the pricey side though.

Damn ... why such a low aggregate score for this place?…read more I'm reading a lot of these negative reviews and it seems like there are some common, reoccurring themes I'm noticing: 1. Ppl who purchased multiple races and having to wait upwards of 1.5+ hrs in between races (but being passed up if others tipped the operators??) 2. Mechanically broken karts 3. Bad flag waver / intentional slow down of karts 4. Bad customer service My brother, dad and I were in town for a weekend for a cowboys vs ravens game (dad is a diehard fan). On the monday, which was our last day in town, we had a chunk of time after lunch to do something before catching our flight. We decided to hit this place up as it was near our hotel. Maybe because it was a workday and we were the only customers (there was 1 other family there) but we didn't experience many of the negative things I listed above so our experience was VASTLY different than what other customers are reporting. It seemed like all karts were operational, there was no flag waver for our races and we did NOT have to wait at all in between races. I DO think they did turn up the kart speeds at the halfway lap mark and also dialed them back down near the end but I'm just going off of personal feel. We experienced very good customer service! The lady (manager I'm assuming) that helped us at the front desk was quite pleasant and the two gentlemen manning the track for the day were nice too. We did 3 races and I managed to place 1st in one of them (the dad from the other family was an absolute beast). I noticed that this K1 Speed is a lil different from the one back home in the racing format. Here it was personal time trial. Each person was trying to see who could have the fastest personal lap and at the end the best personal lap times were ranked. While this was an interesting format, I prefer the traditional placement format more, where your final rank is based on who finished the race first, physically. I'm wondering if this could be changed/adjusted if you spoke to the staff or if it's an unchangeable, default racing format? Anyways, had a lot of fun. It's definitely pricey as some have pointed out (because of the baked in membership fee), but I guess coming on a workday was a good idea as opposed to a weekend day? Fun, memorable activity before flying back to Toronto!

But when we signed up they said it would just be a slight wait... over an hour and a half later we finally got called up. If you have never been to a K1 course before you need to know it is all about speed... these carts can fly! But coming in first does not mean a thing... it is fastest lap and overall course speed. The corse is a wicked inside track with hair pin turns and thin lines.. it is an adrenaline rush! We got set and then seriously ate this course up! My son and I were bumping and scraping the whole way but in the end ... he beat me. Yep race one... he beat me. However in race two I crushed him. What a great time! We had a blast!! My sone is a heck of a racer... I loved getting beat by him... and liked breaking even. So much fun!

So with that said I'd like to level set what you should expect. The park is clean, reasonably priced, and has about 4 rides you'll write home about. The park is mainly limited by space since it's in the greater Dallas area. It was fun and you'll make memories. But it's best to take this park for what it is and not compare it to other parks. It's great for 4-7 hours.

After paying…read more$42 for parking we entered the park hassle free, we were not given any physical indication that we were fast pass which is odd. This park relies on technology to work which blows my mind when it comes to customer service. Well 3hrs into the park, rides were closed or not working. Finally got to a ride that was and sure enough the digital pass doesn't want to work since apparently it has to be scanned at every ride. God forbid someone take the fast lane that shouldn't be there. Although my tickets said fast pass, the date and order number, we were told we need to exit the ride and go to customer service. Customer service if you can even call it that is also useless. I was told by 2 different workers that they "unfortunately don't do refunds" oh you bet your ass you're going to give me a refund. I did not pay $350 for nothing. I continued to ask for rank up until I was talking with the regional manager that finally said she'd get me a refund. But not for parking. I asked for a card to contact corporate. Who never responded until I made a Google review. Finally they tell me no refund for parking. Although they were at fault. Nothing to sweeten the deal. I don't care about the money as much as principle. I worked in customer service for 10 years hell even as a construction project manager I'm still in customer service. This right here is not service. This park absolutely sucks. Don't waste your money or time, they don't respect yours. So disappointing. I was really looking forward to this too. Typical business profit over people. I won't be sad to see them go out of business, I'll build a data center right where they are at.
