Horrible service ! We went there tonight for valentines Day dinner and 3 hours later, still no dessert for our set menu. One star is for the good food. The bill took 15 minutes to get. I would leave a negative five stars if I could obviously the views are gorgeous and Fountain Hills but that was the worst food we have ever had ever and on top of that it was the absolute worst service anywhere I've ever been in the world. It's a set menu not once did a waiter present the food like normal restaurants. We waited for 20 minutes for someone to clear the table for one of the courses and I had to go get someone to do it besides that they took our silverware so I had to go up to the bar to grab silverware to order the drinks and also to order some espresso. I went to the manager or I think he was a fat guy with glasses and told him about the service he did nothing then I went over again and told him that we had no service once again he did nothing finally a third time I went over and he was playing on his phone and did absolutely nothing if I was the person who ran that terrible restaurant he would be fired in 2 seconds. Not only that but the table next to us complained as well. If we didn't have to pay in advance with tip on top of it we would have walked out after the first course dinner alone was over $350 plus after drinks we spent at least $500 for two of us is a complete joke to have a nice resort with that awful of a restaurant and service and manager it's unacceptable ​ read more

The omelette and breakfast potatoes were very tasty and Ozgar's recommendation to try the monkey bread was fantastic. The location and views from the restaurant are spectacular! The menu options all looked good. The food was ok. The polenta fries were bland - the dipping sauce did not help the blandness - it needed something more. The burger was very good. The chicken sandwich was dry and bland. In all fairness, the waitress told us that they just opened up again after been closed for six weeks due to new ownership so maybe they are having some starting up again issues. They seemed to be short on staff and we waited around a long time for service and the bill. I think this restaurant has a lot of potential but we were disappointed today. read more

We knew this place was going to be amazing from the moment we drove up! We were met by a wonderful valet, Jake, who ran out to greet us and open our doors before we could! The valet service there is TOP NOTCH! The best we have ever experienced. We were greeted by a very friendly and efficient hostess, Chloe, who promptly seated us. Our table had the most amazing view and the sunset was absoutely stunning! We saw the mountains turning shades of pink, red and purple hues as the sun was setting. It looked more like a painitng in the sky. Our server, Jean, was attentive and he was extremely knowledgeable. One of the best servers we have ever had. If you like brussel sprouts, they are the best! If you do not like brussel sprouts, I encourage you to try them because you will become a fan. The creme brulee is superb! I highly recommend it. The wine selection is very nice. We had the Truchard Pintot Noir and it was great!! read more

Previously one of our favorite restaurants in the Phoenix valley, we were highly disappointed this time. What hasn't changed is the spectacular view and upscale modern vibe. What has changed is the limited menu options and quality of food. When our food arrived, after a 40 minute wait, it was luke warm, at best, and tasteless. The portions were sparse and one of the dishes was undercooked. We hope some changes are made soon as we would like to revisit, but leery in doing so after this negative experience. read more

The quality of food as well as service is consistently inconsistent and well below the standards one would expect of a restaurant of this level. We have been dining here for many years and with the continual turn over in chefs and management, this place never seems to get it right which is disappointing as we want to like this place! Beautiful ambiance and friendly staff who want to try to please yet they consistently disappoint even with no expectations other than just having a good dinner. No exaggeration the food was terrible! Undercooked salmon as well as octopus that was not prepared properly. Hard to believe after all these years it is still a work in progress. Who needs a bad dining experience when you go out to eat and relax. And at those prices $$$$$ not worth the time or money. Many other restaurants are competing for your dining dollars that provide quality food, timely service with overall good experience. Convenient for guests at hotel yet not a destination dining venue whatsoever! We understand all restaurants have "off" nights yet this place never seems to get it right. Should have listened to friends and neighbors who shared their bad experiences dining here but we wanted to give Cielo another try and love it, and sorry we did. Do yourself a favor and take the time to drive into Scottsdale to one of the many wonderful restaurants who serve excellent food with great service for even less prices who will earn your business. I had a lovely evening with a couple of friends at Cielo. The Brussels sprouts are some of the best I've ever had, I came back another day just for those! And the spaghetti with the marinara sauce was unreal, you can taste how fresh it is and the pasta is hand made. You need to try every single cocktail on the menu, special shout out to a wrinkle in time the dark sky was ABSOLUTELY delish if you like a spicy marg. read more

not sure where to write this review for...copperwnd, adero or sky top. we actually were allowed to eat at sky top. great calamari for appetizer. great drinks...very, very expensive but the view and service was definitely a plus. only complaint is it was my girlfriend's birthday and i mentioned that twice. normally, most restaurants do offer a little something like a free desert or even a cupcake or something! we spent almost $100 on 5 drinks and appetizer. you would think they would do something for her. the place was marvelous as far as decor and chris was a fantastic waiter. will be back again but was disappointed at the birthday non-acknowledgement. read more

Had lunch, ordered shrimp cocktail appetizer (4 large shrimp cooked perfect on top of a table spoon of cocktail sauce and a mound of horseradish on the side); had to order additional cocktail sauce to mix with horseradish. Strange, sparse presentation with very little cocktail sauce, but at least the shrimp were good. Ordered the polenta fries appetizer and they were cooked well but very bland with only a very little Parmesan cheese on 1 or 2 of the fries and a small container of marinara sauce on the side for dipping. For our main we both ordered the little gem BLT salad, however only received one order so we just split it, fortunately they mistakenly only brought one order because it was a huge disappointment. A small head of lettuce on top of ranch dressing with 2 grape tomatoes that were quartered, 4 tiny pieces of croutons and exactly 7 very small bacon bits scattered on the plate. The whole presentation looked like the kitchen ran out of food and scrambled to whip this lunch salad together. Marriott will absolutely need to step up their game to compete in this market. read more

This place is a disaster. Probably one of the worst managed restaurants I have ever been to. We went for brunch today. We were seated 1/2 hour after our reservation. There was no set up because "they ran out of silverware"(!!) FYI this place was not crowded and it was only 11am. There was little help and everyone moved slowly. We were waiting for an outside table. There was one other group on the patio and about 8 empty tables. But none of the tables were bussed. Once we sat, the waiter finally came after 15 minutes. We could see where this was going, so we ordered food and drinks. Drinks finally came after 20 more minutes but the latte was ice cold. Once the food came, it was decent but some sides never arrived and the "eggs over medium" were basically raw with the whites never even cooked. (FYI the waiter brought flatware over about 10 mins after the food was served but fortunately I had gotten up and scrounged around the restaurant for some knives and forks). I would like to give props to "Forrest" who helped the waiter and really tried to help out. Final note: none of the patio heaters worked. The waiter said: "Yeah we really need to get some new ones". And this is an upscale Marriott Bonvoy property???!!!! read more

My wife made reservations for the two of us and 9 of our friends to celebrate my birthday. Like others who have written reviews here, we had been to this establishment multiple times under two previous owners. This was the worst experience we have had. First, when we arrived, they did not have record of our reservation which was made a week in advance. They were able to seat us, but when you have a large group you would expect a fine dinning restaurant to be ready. Service was slow. There were not many patrons this particular night and it still took a very long time to first order drinks, and even longer to order and receive our food. I ordered a "Sidecar" which should come with a sugared glass and I got a glass with salt. Hmm. When our food came out, no one in our party was very enthused. I had the salmon ($38.00) which had a small bit of cauliflower puree on the plate and some lettuce on top of the fish. There was no side dish and the fish was not very flavorful at all. When we received our bill it was confusing as the same glass of wine for some of our group was listed at $14.00 for one glass and $18.00 for another. We thought this might be a timing situation having to do with Happy Hour, but they do not have happy hour. Eighteen dollars for an average glass of cabernet is ridicules anyway. The only reason I am giving two stars is because they gave a free creme brulé for my birthday. As a local who has a comparable view from my home, who loves to be creative in the kitchen and who makes a great sidecar, I don't think I will be back. read more
