When it was Flourish restaurant it was outstanding. This new iteration "Cielo" was the worst $100 PP meal I've ever had. The menu is mediocre at best. Both of the beef dishes were cooked to the wrong temperature and cold. One guest had the pasta dish and it was sent back three times and she had an upset stomach afterwards. Dinners came out almost 30 minutes after the salad course, the side dishes came out ten minutes after the entrées. I called over the Manager, she apologized and gave us two free desserts which were wrong also. I was entertaining out of town guests and we were celebrating a birthday. The views are amazing and my husband and I dined here many times when the restaurant was called Flourish and the resort was Copperwynd, not Adero Scottsdale. However, we were utterly disappointed with our meal after the restaurant reopened as Cielo. The menu is boring and the food is not good. We ordered steak and salads and it was all terrible so we haven't returned. Seriously, the worst salad dressing I have ever tasted in my life. My wife and I went to Cielo to celebrate our anniversary. Neither one of us had heard of this location previously. We were seated promptly and our waitress was there pretty quickly. The menu is somewhat limited, but for a relatively small hotel we thought the menu quite adequate and varied. The food and it's presentation were both excellent. Had a great lunch with my girlfriends the other day at Cielo. We tried the goat cheese appetizer which was so delicious. The bread served with it is to die for. They have a nice craft drink selection which were not cheap but totally worth it. You can't beat the view here. The best in town. We got a large table inside and they had all the doors open so we had a nice indoor/outdoor feel. Sure they have a few kinks to work out with the soft opening but to be expected. I live in fountain Hills and I love going here for breakfast. The ambiance is absolutely lovely. The scene is breathtaking. I prefer to sit outside if weather permits. The breakfast is yummy. I always get the waffles, potatoes, fresh fruit, and mimosas. The waffles taste like love and the potato's are crunchy on the outside and soft in the middle. They're wonderful. Service is really good too. Oscar is very personable and attentive. I love going here. read more

This restaurant has excellent food but misses the mark. Stated simply, the menu is far too limited (i.e., outside of appetizers, just one beef entree, one fish entree (farmed salmon), and one vegan entree were on the menu the night we dined). The shrimp appetizer and steak entree were both delicious. The service and views are fantastic, and prices are fair. But...back to the point...they are NOT going to be successful long term with such a limited menu. We are not vegans and we don't eat farmed fish...so for us...that meant one entree choice. I hope they solve the issue and expand the menu. It would be great to have a 5 star restaurant in Fountain Hills, and with some minor changes Cielo has what it takes. Until then, if we are hungry for steak with a view...this is, on occasion, a great spot. read more

I would highly recommend Cielo at the new ADERO Scottsdale Resort which is part of the Marriott Autograph Collection. I had a reservation at sunset and the view was incredible. The food was delicious and I tried one of the craft cocktails (Wrinkle in Time) and it was amazing. Ordered on the of the specialty wines which was delicious and not super pricey. The glass was rolled back so the entire dining room felt like you were outdoors but you were still inside enjoying the beautiful atmosphere. They had a group called "Star Dudes" and were doing "Stargazing" on the lawn outside of the restaurant which was really special. A very memorable evening! read more

This was our fourth time here and it was so windy and chilly that we dined at Cielo instead of the appetizer menu at Sky Top. The food was very good in general. I felt the steak I ordered was just so so and at that price it should have been excellent. No complaints otherwise as service was outstanding. We've had super good service at Sky Top from Justin and the staff there as well. Overall this is a place with amazing views and great service. We went here for my friends bachelorette dinner. The ambiance was beautiful but from that point on things were terrible. We had a reservation and waited 20+ minutes for our table. We also waited over an hour for our food and over 30 minutes for a drink. All the tables around us received our food before us and when I asked the waiter they said it was because we were a party of 6. All we had was salads, veggies and a charcuterie board. How do 12 people get served before 6? The math didn't math. When asked how much longer the waitress replied "well we have to cook it." The manager was even more rude. The food was also terrible. The meat from the charcuterie wasn't edible and to be honest bagged salad from the grocery store would have been better. Drinks were subpar but overall experience was terrible. I will never eat here again nor suggest it to anyone. Customer service was appalling. Waste of my money and time. read more

What a stunning property and view. I think our overall experience, including our lovely and helpful server, and the very nice wine list is definitely five stars. The food, although prepared quite well, really had basic side items to accompany the main protein. Very basic vegetables that felt store bought were used. Again the main protein was awesome, but the rest was not inspiring. Taking into account the overall pricing structure of the entrees with the basic side items didn't leave us wanting to come back. What a great place to dine! We just wanted to feel like we got out of the city for an hour or two and this did it!!! The view of the McDowells is wonderful and very soothing at sunset(watching the colors change). Was hoping for a little monsoon action( will go back for that) Our waiter, Hunter...was simply put...AMAZING! He was charming and on point with his recommendations. He was conscientious about his care , but left us time for date night . I give him 5 stars! The branzino was made perfectly. And the side of mushrooms ...and roasted rainbow carrots...could have had 2 more. Hubby's filet was cooked perfect! Don't miss the cheesecake...it is true NY style. Mixologist was on point...makes a fierce martini. Warning salad is huge...think of splitting one with your dinner partner. And my only feedback on what could be better is for the hostess...if you tell the her it's date night...don't set a big rowdy group with balloons and gift bags right next to the couple on "date night" ... Went to the bar to get a refill on my wine. Then 1.5 hours into our meal they could tell us when our 2 adults meal would be served. I reserved a table for nine- it was my daughter's 16th birthday. We live locally and wanted to try out this newer restaurant. We had 4 kids and 5 adults. I ordered app's which were great and wine. An hour and half into the meal- the waitress still had not come back to the table, the main course was not served (and no communication to us as to when it was coming) - the manager was pathetic and did not accommodate anything. It was NOT WORTH eating there ...go for a cocktail & view and call it a day. Worst service for the expensive price point. Completely disappointed. read more

There are so many better places for dinner than here. For a dinner that costs close to $100/pp on average, I am disappointed. Almost every plate and drink we ordered was missing ingredients. The filet didn't come with the "blistered tomatoes". The drinks were missing key ingredients that were the main reason we ordered them. When we received our drinks the food runner that brought them had no idea what each drink was, and ended up just setting them all down on the table, we ended up having to take sips to determine the who's drink belonged to who since they were all presented the same way. Not something you would expect to have to do when drinks cost between $15-$20 each at a nice restaurant. There isn't anything exciting about the food, it was all pretty "meh". If you don't have the ingredients you need to complete the drinks and dishes on your menu, you should really update it, because a lot of our party was disappointed when our food wasn't what it was advertised to be. The main upside was the view, but I don't know if it's worth coming back. read more

During my stay at Adero Resort, I ate at Cielo one evening. I enjoyed a lovely dinner at the bar and was waited on by Rhea. She made my dirty martini perfectly to my liking and was helpful with recommendations on food. When I was hungry for dessert, the other bartender, Carter went the extra mile getting me a scoop of both flavors of ice cream for me to try as I couldn't decide. Christian, the bar manager, stopped by a couple of times as well to make sure everything was good. I appreciated all of their great customer service. It made my evening even better. read more

Cielo is the re-opening of Flourish restaurant in the Copperwynd Resort (now called Adero) after being re-branded and now run by a corporate chain. We loved Flourish and the small, boutique-like feel of Copperwynd. As expected, that is no longer the case but we decided it was fair to give it a try. Although the staff was friendly and attentive and the views are still amazing, the food and prices show how this wonderful place has taken a turn. The food was 'meh' and VERY expensive. My husband ordered the chicken dish and was served a small piece of chicken with no side for $38. This new, re-branded hotel might be a draw for out-of-towners but for locals, it has completely lost its appeal. Very disappointed. read more

This by far was the worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant. If I could give a ZERO STARS I would. I arrived at Cielo on time at 530pm for my reservation. I was seated accordingly. The waiter Smarth was so nice. I ordered a Caesar salad, I specifically asked the waiter was the salad pre made because I am allergic to cheese. I was told it was not, so I asked for my salad to not have parmesan cheese. When I received my salad it had cheese on it. Smarth was very apologetic and bought me a new one. The salad was good once it was corrected. I then went on and ordered a rack of lamb and mashed/ whipped potatoes. The main course was bought out at about 640pm. The meal that was bought to be was a prime rib (maybe) with mashed potatoes. It was not a rack of lamb. At this point I am extremely frustrated and hungry. Smarth comes and asked how the food was and I tell him again this is not what I ordered. At this point Smarth is extremely apologetic he took the meal back. The manager comes over and apologizes also offers 25% taken off the bill. I ask the manager how long will it take for the correct meal to come out at this point it is 7pm. She said 20 minutes. I politely declined because I had another engagement to go too well the rack of lamb was rushed and bought to me in about 10 minutes. However, the order was STILL WRONG. I ordered a rack of lamb with mashed potatoes and received a rack of lamb with roasted potatoes. At this point I am ready to go none of my order was correct. I DO NOT know if it was the waiter fault or the cooks fault but I was not happy at all. At the end of the night the manager told us we didn't even have to pay for the meals at this point and apologized. I appreciate the apologies, but I came there to eat and after two hours the only thing I ate was a salad. I would not return to this establishment just based off of how everything I ordered had to go back and I am not and I was not a rude guest. read more

We came here since we were staying at the hotel. The views are beautiful. Our waitress took 10 minutes just to greet us. We only ordered dessert. We were told that the soufflé would take 20 minutes but was worth it. We waited more than 30 minutes and when the soufflé came, it was so overcooked that the outside was grey. I cut it open and it was dry and solid. I can't believe any respectable chef would send that out for someone to eat. We sent it back and left disappointed.
