We stopped into Cilantro Taqueria for lunch. It wasn't very busy, so there was no wait. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The menu is expansive and everything we are served seems very fresh. The servings are also very generous. They have a variety of soda and beer options as well. There is plenty of parking. The decor is cute and there is plenty of seating. I enjoy the serve yourself salsa bar. I would much rather eat at Cilantro Taqueria than a large chain restaurant. We are visiting Cleveland and decided to give Cilantro Taqueria a try. We live in Colorado so we have an abundance of Mexican food, but I'm always one to sample the cuisine of Mexico wherever I find it. So my wife ordered tacos a shrimp taco and a beef taco and I'm just gonna end that right here because she did not like em. She said that the shrimp was chewy and the beef had no flavor whatsoever. She did like the salsa and chips though. I ordered a Carnita burrito with frijoles green sauce and cheese. From the outside, it looked delicious but mine too, had no flavor. I did like their Horchata. So my opinion, I would not be eating here again. It wasn't good. It wasn't horrible. it was somewhere in the middle, leaning toward the horrible. First time getting a burrito bowl here. They didn't have enough beef tongue so half my entree was shrimp. I ate the rice and meat mainly I also added guacamole . I had a lot of leftovers for the next couple of day but I couldn't finish it but I did eat all the meat. By the time my guac was browning it wasn't fresh by Thursday and I got this on a Sunday. My friend and I went here for dinner and I felt a little overwhelmed by the speed of the line and I really didn't know how to order. Which turns out was pretty simple, it had a chipotle line vibe. Regardless. I got a bowl with chicken, Mexican rice, and a variety of toppings. It was really good! I also got my husband a burrito, which turned out huge! So next time we go, I'm going to take my time and order more food.
