We went there with my friends-spontaneously and really enjoyed the food. The karnıyarık had a super authentic, traditional taste--so yummy! The only thing is, as Turkish people, we would have liked the portion to be a little bigger The ambiance is cool, but the servers forgot a few times to bring us water. Still, overall it was a great experience!

great service- they allow dogs to sit outside & will bring them a water bowl :) loved the food. the shareable sample platter was perfect for two.

Awesome food, hidden gem in CP. I was pleasantly surprised to find this local Turkish spot with my bf. We had lunch on a Sunday and it was very busy. We were able to get outdoor seating. The service was on the slower side given it was Sunday afternoon but our server was friendly and gave us good recommendations. We tried a couple of apps starting with the calf liver, spicy cod dip, and garlic leek dip. So delicious. We also had the chicken and lamb shwarma to share. We were stuffed and even took leftovers home. Also byob! Will definitely be back!

The food here is very very good and full of flavor. i wish they gave a pepper and roasted tomato or onion with the mixed grill like usual mediterranean turkish places. i got mixed kebab for two and also the mixed cold mezze appetizer accompanied with bread. i also got turkish soda clear which was pretty good but finished very quickly since it's all the service was very kind and polite they gave a lot of help with what to order. they would check up on me and ask if i needed anything too! the ambiance is quite calm and nice i went during lunch and it wasn't that busy or packed. i loved the food and the overall experience i'd come back here again for sure if im in the area! can't wait to get new dishes A++

What a wonderful dining experience at this lovely Turkish Mediterranean restaurant. Freshly prepared Turkish specialties and great service.

Dining at cinar was a wonderful experience. Not often do I eat Turkish food and I found a winner here. Ordered the mix platter for two and everything was prepared perfectly. The meats were so tender and juicy. The lamb didn't have that much of a gamey taste so I enjoyed that too. I only wish that there was more veggies. Comparing the picture of the same dish we ate and other yelpers about a year ago the portion size seemed to have shrunk and they don't give you a grilled long sweet pepper anymore with it either. Not quite sure if the bread in the beginning was complimentary but we also ordered babaghanoush and there was no pita bread that compliments it. So we dipped that in the bread provided at the beginning. I never had this before and it was quite delicious - similar to hummus. Worth coming back and trying other entrees.

I came across the restaurant for a quick lunch. I called in my order of chicken shish with rice and salad. When I arrived I parked right in front. I walked into the restaurant and was greeted. My food was ready and I paid and left. When I dug in the chicken was very good and juicy! I also enjoyed the rice and salad with the white sauce. I definitely would return.

babaganoush was our fav. The pink dip was good and the lebni was good too They have pita bread so you can ask them for that. They make sure to cut it and warm it up which is nice Yogurt chicken- soooooo juicy. Tasted almost Italian cus the tomato sauce. Comes with fried pita bread under it. Def would order another chicken dish next time Ummm they give you a large bottled water and then they charge you $6 for it. I didn't know they would charge us. You'd think they'd tell you. I heard the table next to us say the same thing. I don't get why no one is posting about that... BYOB and service is good. Parking isn't the easiest but there are neighborhoods you can park at. Not safe when crossing so be careful

SMALL PORTIONS so mad. Ordered delivery look at this cold appetizer of green beans for 10.95 dollars and look at the size of the container. It's really crazy.

The food is flavorful and well cooked, so it used to be in my restaurant lineup as a bi-weekly favorite, but these guys are thieves and liars. I used to go here or order in the Lamb Shank on the weekends. However, in June of 2022 they raised the price of the Lamb Shank dish from $19.95 to $32.95 (same portion size)!!! I can appreciate a price increase due to inflation, but this is highway robbery. To add insult to injury when I called to inquire they told me that they raised the price 2 years ago, which is a complete prevarication. I have the receipts to prove it. We're lucky to have several great Turkish restaurants and markets in Bergen County so there are plenty of better options for Turkish food.

I'm glad that this restaurant stays open pretty late. I recommend it as the service was great and the food was delicious. We didn't order any appetizers so went straight into the main course. There was so much to choose from so got the Mixed Kebab Platar for 2 people. The combination of Lamb Shish, Lamb Adana Kebab, Chicken Shish, Chicken Adana and meat patties with salad. It was a great choice as we got to sample everything and I recommend this for anyone who can't decide on what they want. We were pretty full so didn't order anything else. If I'm ever in the area again, I'll have to come back for a visit.

Great authentic Turkish restaurant in cliffside park! The restaurant is very spacious, service was great and the food was delicious! There is street parking that can be a little challenging due to the busy area but we were lucky and got a spot right in front. Great restaurant for lunch and dinner!!!

Kibbeh and Fried Liver. The fried liver was awesome! Something people easily pass over but certainly shouldn't.

Velvety with great mouth feel and lovely smokiness this was so good w/ their table bread Turkish Ravioli (Manti) (APP, 3/5) - Chewy little nuggets w. yogurt filling, it was pretty enjoyable though my colleague gave ma "Meh" since she makes them at home and probably has high bar. It was good for maybe the first 3 or 4, so perhaps better ordered for larger groups. Shepherd Salad (APP, 4/5) - Fresh, bright(as in vinegar), and herbaceous, we added feta cheese to it and it was perfect balance to our entree. Kofte Kebab (MAIN, 4/5) - Not too dry with packed flavor of all the herbs & beef, I really enjoyed my dish. Went great with all the other accouterments such as slightly cinged wedge of tomato and onion slices, all frolicking on a bed of warm rice that had a nice bite. Adana Kebap (MAIN, 4/5) - My colleague had this one, and I tried a piece. It was juicy and had no hint of gaminess which is always a plus for lamb. 3. The bread could be better (served fresher and a bit fluffier). The octopus salad is mouth wateringly delicious. The chicken shish kebab is perfect every single time and is probably the juiciest chicken I've ever had at any restaurant. The sides it's served with deliver an orgasmic bite. Adana kebab is also consistently good. The first time I had the veal chops they were incredibly delicious. The texture and flavor of the meat were perfect and went so well with the bread and sides. However, the next time I ordered the same dish, the meat was dry and not as flavorful. Being that it's one of the most expensive dishes on the menu, I think it's important for them to maintain consistency. I usually go during the day or early evening and every time I've gone, the ambiance has been laid back and relaxing. Service is always friendly and welcoming despite the language barrier.
