Would highly recommend for a one night or weekend stay. Newer ownership so some small tweaks will go a long way in making this an even better than it already is. Need more Marks! Great bartender. Bottle neck at check in, food and drink was solid. Don't compare this to Disney but let it scratch your Disney Campground itch. We will be back!

    We got TOAD :-).

Everything has improved this year. Great food and service. Thanks everybody, especially Jeff, Bob and Jeanie. See you again in August! Bob and Kathy Henry

This is a great campground! They are not specifically affiliated with Kings Island anymore, but have a shuttle that can take you and pick you up which was convenient. Great paved sites. Very little shade on the RV sites though, so bring your own shade. They have a family pool and adult pool. Pools are great, and you can rent Cabanas for the day (they even have mini fridges and TVs in the cabanas). Staff was really nice. They have an activity center where the kids can do crafts and check out games. Two bars on site for pool drinks and an ice cream place. Cute little cabins and rental campers available. Will definitely stay again.

We had read reviews about site spacing being quite small. We stayed on the back row in the 200's. These don't have site spacing issues, and although close, you have plenty of room to back in. Value is hard to define here. We paid $750(ish) total for 3 nights and 2 days of theme park admission. The campground - even on a weekend during summer - was maybe at 60% capacity. Pools, food, and bars were open and the facilities were in great shape. With that said, our site was pretty gross. There was a ton of dead grass and dog poop on our site. The site's aren't cleaned between campers and this is evident. We loved Kings Island but Soak City isn't large enough to handle the crowds. They should either limit capacity or come up with some other solution for that specific part of the park. Pro's: 1) Great amenities for the entire family including an adult only pool, bar, food, and kids activities. 2) A shuttle that runs every 10-15 minutes from CG to Kings Island. 3) Good location just outside Cincinnati. 4) Trash receptacles located every several sites making it easy to take the trash out. 5) Concrete pad's and good utilities. 6) Lightning fast TMobile (didn't even need Starlink) Con's: 1) Actual site cleanliness was terrible. 2) Interior sites have narrow roads and spots. Try and stay in the 200's. 3) Expensive nightly stay's (at around $120+ before ticket prices) We'd stay here again if visiting King's island.

This review is for the new camp cedar. It's really a hard place to review since it's still new they are still ironing out some kinks. Positives: the staff is exceptional, the food is decent, golf carts are a blast, the outdoor areas were clean and well maintained, the cabins were cute and fun, kings island shuttle was convenient. Negatives: the WiFi is junk, the cabin we stayed in wasn't properly cleaned (our socks were dirty from the floor on day 1), the "loft" area in cabins are hot and not safe for you g kids, the bathroom by the pool wasn't being maintained and the floor was always slick and filthy and the kids pool is pretty small. All that aside it was a memorable staycation for us. We will be back and I have faith as time goes by little things will be improved.

The camp store had all the things you made want/need. Text the office and they'll deliver to your campsite even if you buy firewood. Lots of hardwood trees for shade. No raccoons or critters at night messing with your things. Quiet and peaceful environment and lots of squirrels and birds to see/watch. 40 minutes to downtown Cincinnati. Casino less than 10 miles away for those who like to gamble, premium outlet mall close by as well. Definitely will be back! The only thing I could suggest is swings for bigger kids & adults. We were met by the owner, Walter, and what a nice guy. He was very professional and willing to do what it takes to make our set up and stay an enjoyable time. I felt pretty safe after seeing the Glock .40 caliber in his back pocket. I would give this place an 8.7. It would be higher but the sites are tight and close to each other. Be safe! I just read the review where the $30.00 wasn't returned and the problem the guy and his team had. We are glad it didn't happen to us. So far so good.

The only positive review I read were our neighbors. They and Walter appeared to be joined at the hip. They were constantly complaining to Walt about us. He only complained about things like "an unsightly board that was raised up on one end." Mind you it was underneath our RV. Originally we were supposed to be near the front, but he decided our RV was unsightly and so he moved us to the back of the park. While our RV is old and generally well worn, it was not as bad as many others in the campground. The reviews about Walt carrying a gun is correct. He and the neighbors carried guns. I'm not pro guns but regardless carrying weapons does not seem reasonable in this setting. when we went to take our RV out for repairs, Walter told our son that we were not welcome back. All this time, I had been feeling like we weren't welcome and he only confirmed it. How bad could a senior middle class couple be. We both well educated, had successful careers and generally stayed to ourselves. I would never recommend this place to anyone of any age.

However, the employees are the rudest, pushiest, most argumentative people i have ever met at a campground. and it starts right from check in and never stops. theres one guy (we call him Rambo because he walks around with a gun acting like hes a tough ass) who insists on "helping" you back your camper into your spot, like we havent been doing this for 10years... and he screams at you and gets an attitude if you dont do EXACTLY what he says. ITS NOT NECESSARY RAMBO ! Get over yourself and leave the people to do their own parking. and second!! and this is a BIG ONE, we witnessed and recorded the 2 male employees literally tackling and wrestling a camper to the ground and holding him down, smashing his face in the rocks... all because he came to pick up a little cargo trailer after check out time, and apparently owed them more money. THERE IS NO GOOD REASON TO TACKLE YOUR GUESTS TO THE GROUND, EVERRRRR!!!!!!! and both the employees had weapons, Rambo with his gun, and Crocodile DunDee (as we called him) with his huge knife on his hip. (they didnt use the weapons at all, but still had them on their hips, completely unnecessary) cops came for hours after the incident and the camper is pressing charges against them. and that was just one situation that happened while we there. They called our buddy who staying there at the same time , screaming at him that they were having a tow truck sent out immediately to tow his camper out of there because he was a day late on rent. So he rushed home from work in the middle of the day to go to the office and handle it, only to find out that his rent wasn't due for another 4 days!!! and you think he got even a hint of an apology from anyone, NO! DO NOT STAY HERE, do not give these people your money!!! which by the way is only cash because they dont accept cards, and they make you pay everything up front with No Refunds, absolutely no exceptions. These owners/workers are crooks, theyre bullies, theyre rash and pushy and unapologetic. you couldnt pay me enough money to stay here again. ever. go somewhere else , anywhere else. especially if you work on the road, they seem to have a major problem with workers, like us. absolute trash, they should be embarrassed.
