I've been going there for years. The food is good and service is good, but if there is a problem with your order or your bill they will not fix the problem, they will not correct the price. We had a coupon with no expiration date and they would not honor the price, and it was or this specific location, said it was out of date,but thereally was no date. They have went way up on there prices and they think they don't have to honor coupons. I prefer Les Compares on Hwy. 70 read more

Our favorite Mexican place to eat in middle Tennessee. When we moved here from out west we were continuously disappointed with local mexican restaurants. Then we found this place. Very Rude waiter. We used to go to this place at least twice a month. But would never come back again after our last visit. Waiter screwed up our order, which could happen at any restaurant. But instead of fixing the problem and move on, he blamed us and started to act extremely rude to me and to my family. Had to talk to the manager which he wasn't pleased too. Cinco de Mayo on Old Hickory Boulevard is, and has been our favorite Mexican restaurant, period. 4 generations from out family have had their food. The folks there are courteous and helpful, and the food is the closest you're going to get to Authentic Mexican north of Uvalde, Texas. Try their fried jalapenos - they're awesome - go on your birthday, and tell .hem, you will have memories that last a lifetime. don't drink the water, though.......just kidding. these folks are really nice, good folks - yeah, I wish they were open until 11, but a lot of these folks work their ass off, in case you didn't know it - yeah, they've mucked up my order, but grow up and speak up - they will fix it. Sopa De Pollo was very very bland with very very little chicken and avocado in it. And the bowl was not even full. They either severely cut portions or the chef gave me the last remnants of the batch.... but they say it is made by scratch per order. VERY DISAPPOINTED. We love Mexican food and were not disappointed. The beer was cold, the chips fresh and crispy, and the salsa ok. I had chicken fajitas with 2x onion and no green pepper. Totally delicious. I usually stay away from fajitas because I don't particularly like green bell peppers, hold the p and 2x onion...perfect. Server was good, food came out pretty fast, food terrific, no complaints. Honestly Cinco De Mayo use to be my favorite Mexican restaurant in Mt. Juliet. The food was always good and the service was great. But something has changed. Not sure if it is management or what. The service has been very spotty lately. There have been a few good servers but we have had some really bad ones too. My last experience was awful and will probably end my relationship with this restaurant. The server was not attentive and rude. It took him a very long time to come out and get our drink order. At the time he took that we asked if we could have chips. It probably took another 10 mins before the chips came to the table. Then he disappeared again for a long time to come back and get our food order. He was very impolite and never apologized for the bad service. The food was fine once we got it but you know there are too many other Mexican restaurants in town to deal with service like this. read more

I'm not one to complain, considering I work in the food industry myself but this service I just received was absolutely horrible. I've been going to this cinco for years and never have I heard of being charged $5 for extra chips (when we ordered two large quesos and only received one basket of chips). The waitress was rude and the manager was even more rude and disrespectful. I will NEVER eat at this cinco location again. My family is regulars and I will make it a goal of mine for them to never eat here again and tend to spread the word of the horrible service. read more

Very rude manger...... Hubby and I went to Cinco de Mayo Saturday night as we do at least 4 times a month. Board out front said Cinco de Mayo specials $1.99 Margaritas. When our bill arrived they were 4.95, waitress said the special was for next day (Cinco de Mayo Day). After I explained that there was no way for me to know it was for tomorrow as the name and the day are the same (no date, I checked) checking with her manager she came back and said they would not honor the price. And that others had also had the same issue. Then manager came over again I explained the issue. He was rude and said it's for tomorrow . adding up what I have spent there in the last year they just lost $2500.00. Plus the party were going to book for July. That's another $1000.00 Too bad we love the staff and the food. read more

I ordered beef and chicken fajitas for my husband's surprise birthday party from the Cinco on Nonaville Road. I couldn't be any happier. The manager went out of his way to help me plan the meal. They had everything ready on time, and helped my son get it loaded into his truck. The food was delicious, and there was plenty! Look, this is typical Tex-Mex food with far too much salt and MSG in everything. Its not bad to have dinner after golf with a buddy but not to bring an out of town guest or even someone you really like.. You wont get sick for sure but not a place you plan ahead to go. read more

Meh, average. About what you'd expect from a strip mall Mexican place in suburbs. The staff was friendly and provided good service and the prices are VERY low! They had great combination plate offerings all for less than $10. However, their menu warned that they charge extra for refills of chips. Keep that in mind!! I know places usually add that cost into the costs of products, but still when you're used to pretty much everywhere offering free refills with similar priced food it's surprising. Margaritas were ok. I wish I had ordered something different, to be honest, but that's on me. read more

Moved up here from Pensacola in the Spring. Would visit Villartas on Perdido Key (1 mi) about every other month, not because it was great food as the menu was dumbed down and all came with cheese sauce and canned red beans, but they were liberal with the tequilla so it was palatable once the margurettas started coming. So, Cinco De Mayo- As my kids said "It is Villartas, in Mt Juliet! We love it!" And they are correct, even the colors and decorations are the same. And darn good margurettas! I was told they have been around for a while. Seems like you can't drive 2 miles without seeing a Mexican/Chinese resturant. Why not take the menue, save your best sellers, and put in some real authentic Mexican food. That is what Los Padres is doing and I think the palate of patrons today are looking for authenticity more than novelty, which is what a Mexican resturant in Mt Juliet once was, but no longer. Evolve or Die. Oh, and may want to watch Resturant Rehab or whatever that show is on TLC. read more

Cinco has always been a family favorite for delicious mexican food. Their fajitas are wonderful, the salsa is great, the cheese dip is fantastic and the burritos are the only ones I will eat. I would also recommend the Xangos for desert! They are cheesecake chimichangas! I gave 4 stars because the last several times we have been to this particular Nonaville road location, it has had a bad smell. So much so that we have started going to the Cinco down the road, closer to Hermitage. read more

Cinco De Mayo, where fajita doesn't mean fajita anymore. Ordered the fajita taco salad instead of the regular one, and it came same way as regular. When time to settle bill, I asked manager for an adjustment because of the missing onions and peppers. He proceeded to argue with me that "their" fajita taco salad didn't come with onions and peppers. Wha???? I'm scratching my head. What differentiates it from the regular? He then tries to tell me there's no room for peppers and onions on a taco salad. So....why does every other dish on your menu (and every other Mexican restaurant's) described as "fajita" come with peppers and onions??? Who knows, but if you go, save $2.00 and order a regular taco salad since the fajita one is exactly the same. Before this ridiculous attempt to screw me over $2.00, I ate here every week, gave BIG tips and considered this place to be best Mexican food in Mt Juliet. read more
