It's between Telluride and Mountain village in a cute little complex with a few other shops so it can feel out of the way, but definitely worth a stop on the way in our out of town! I had a cookie and a breakfast sandwich. I ate the sandwich before thinking to take a picture. The sandwich was wrapped up in tin foil to go which would make for great slopes food. Have been going to Cindybread for the past year and have to say it's the best sandwich shop I've been to in my life. They're Reuben's are the best I've ever had and the staff is just as amazing. stated hours today were 10-3. needed certain bakery items for dinner party. however, did not answer the phone despite numerous attempts. so finally drove 25 minutes each way in the hope that they would have the needed items. but when i got there, they locked the front door even tho it was within their stated open hours. why have stated hours or a phone if you are not going to honor either. read more

I had been coming to Telluride for years before I "discovered" this place (and have been there many times since). The problem was that I always thought that it was just a bakery, which is not the case at all. They also have a wide variety of really good-quality and creative sandwiches and salads, all priced at about $8-9 each. I also purchase fresh bread there, when it hasn't already sold out. They also have very good coffee and a selection of sweet baked goods (which are not overly sweet and really delicious). I'm ridiculously picky about ingredients (looking for organic/local type food) and have really enjoyed everything I have eaten at this restaurant. They are open just for breakfast and lunch (breakfasts are good too, though I have only had those a couple of times), and I would suggest calling before going since their hours change seasonally and they have been known to just pick up and leave for a few days when Telluride gets really busy. It takes a bit of effort to find Cindybread, which was the other reason it took me so long to start eating there. The best way to find them is to imagine driving from the town of Telluride to Mountain Village - Cindybread is basically halfway between. There is a gas station there (just after you exit the roundabout and turn off the main road), and then you kind of go past the gas station until you find Society Drive, which has a variety of businesses on it (including Telluride Brewing Company). Cindybread is toward the end of the street. An excellent find in Telluride, if you're willing to go out of your way a tiny bit. read more

Their sandwiches are sooo tasty, with their own fresh baked bread, top quality ingredients and you can feel the love they make it with, almost like having a sandwich from mum! Also, their veggie lunch sandwich is as good as it gets for a vegetarian specialty sandwich. It makes my mouth water thinking about it. Ahhhh (Homie style). The bread at CindyBread is fantastic. They make the bread on-site. We walked about 1 1/4 hour from Mountain Village on a nice slightly downhill path through the forest. Then we walked about 2 hours back to town. There are other ways of getting there including car, bike and an infrequent bus. This might have counted for why we thought the meatball sub we had was one of the best we have had. But we have had their bread and pastries other times and have always been impressed. read more

Going to Cindy Bread requires a little drive (or bike) out of town. Choose from 6-7 sandwiches or 5 salads made on bread baked on-site. I prefer the italian which comes with roasted red peppers. Makes the best breakfast sandwich in Telluride. Sometimes slow, but worth the wait. Order at the counter. Eat at one of the few cafe tables (inside or outside) or take with you to eat on a mid-hike picnic. read more
