We ordered take out Italian dinners from Cinelli's. It was delicious and so many freest options. Be careful when looking at the menu because there is menus from several years ago on line that are not accurate. They have many vegan options making it a nice place to get dinner for a variety of consumers. We ordered gnocchi dinner, chicken parmigiana with fettuccini Alfredo, rigatoni bake and vegan eggplant parm. They didn't have their famous garlic knots bread so we opted for their vegan garlic bread. The Alfredo was the best I've ever had! ( I've had ALOT!) since we did take out we really didn't check out the restaurant itself however it appeared neat and clean. The food warmed up perfectly for our dinner. I'll preface that my husband and I are vegan...while our children are not. It's challenging to find a place that can accommodate us all. Let alone an excellent one. Their regular menu is fantastic. Last night my son got the Mac & cheese gnocchi...which my other son finished because they BOTH ended up loving. When I say they truly accommodate anyone...they then have a separate menu for vegans, vegetarians, and gluten free. The first time I went, I had the vegan chicken parm and sent my husband up to ask if it was the vegan chicken because wow it was incredibly good. I dreamed about it until getting it again last night. My husband loves the vegan pepperoni pizza and we also tried the pizza potato skins from the vegan menu and the ranch dressing that it came with I'll be dreaming about for days. The most friendly welcome people working is what really made the biggest impression. I feel bad for not knowing the woman's name who took our order but she gets everything right and is so patient and sweet especially since we have different diets in our family. Then towards the end of our meal the owner asked to make us a nice sweet treat (reminded me of a perfect fried dough bites almost) that both us and the kids could eat. The chicken sub was tasty and I would order it again. The crispy, light sub roll was the star of the show. The chicken was good - wish there was a little more. Wish there was a little less tomato. The cheese was spot on. The garlic knots were good. I love that they were homemade. We probably wouldn't get them again unless there was a deal. They were good but actually not very garlicky. We also didn't really need them to have so much olive oil. They were still well baked though. The dipping sauce was a generous, but a little on the sweet side. Meh. Ordered a stromboli and some garlic bread. I still don't understand why so many "italian" places don't know what a stromboli is. This was like an elongated calzone. A stromboli is not a calzone. Half the cheese leaked out the bottom, which made no sense in how a stromboli is made. It was yummy for what it was. Very cheesy with a hint of garlic. For $10 it was small. The garlic bread...I'm a garlic bread snob. There was barely any hint of garlic, and it was 4 small slices for $7. Cinelli's food has always been good. I was a customer at their old location. This location is easy to get to and easy to go in and quick grab a slice. They have small tables inside and they have outside tables. They have a huge menu with so many options. They have vegan pizza which is so amazing since I am slowly transitioning my diet. I can eat gluten so I appreciate it's on normal crust but Cinelli's does have gluten free options too. So you can order a gluten free and vegan pizza which is so amazing. Cinelli's has a seriously amazing and large vegan menu, in addition to all the traditional meaty Italian favorites. All of their food is made to order, which is perfect for someone particular(okay, picky) like me. The last time I went there for take out, I could hear the counter person telling the kitchen to specifically make sure I had non-vegan blue cheese with my vegan wings as I had requested. When you dine in, they bring you complimentary garlic knots with marinara sauce. These are some of the best I've ever had, and they are loaded with garlic (a major plus in my opinion). The cauliflower wings and vegan chicken parm are also delicious. Vegans and non-vegans alike will find something to enjoy here. Service is fast, and it's never too busy to get a table right away. The usual spots weren't cutting it anymore. So what I did was decide to ask help and then I found love! lol Hands down the best calzone I have ever had! The dough was delicious and it was cooked to perfection. I'm not a fan of ricotta cheese in my calzones and when there was none to be found I was soooo happy! Gooey melty cheese is all I found inside my pocket of perfection. I had the supreme calzone and it was worthy of its name! My wife the steak and cheddar calzone and it was AWESOME! That's gonna be my next calzone. We also got the wangz(not just wings cause these are special) and it was everything I hope for and more! I have a gluten allergy, so I was excited to see an Italian restaurant with a menu FILLED with gluten free options. If you also eat GF, then I'm sure you know how hit-or-miss ordering a pizza can be... the crust can be like a cracker or a sponge or cardboard lol good GF pizzas are few and far between. I ordered the GF dill pickle pizza... OMG. It is one of the top two gluten-free pizzas I've ever had (the other being from a place in the Hudson Valley). SO! If you're local to Rochester and need delicious gluten-free options I would 100000% recommend! Best gluten-free pizza in Rochester, no contest. They also have great vegan options if you need/want. Service: We had a great waitress who was receptive to all of our dietary requests and preferences. The whole process took longer than expected but luckily we had complimentary garlic knots to hold us over! Their menu also states everything is made to order resulting in a longer wait. Food: I'm happy to go somewhere that has so many vegan options without me having to modify everything. I ordered the greens and beans soup, fried buffalo cauliflower pizza, and gnocchi which came with the soup and a side salad. The garlic knots were a hit but otherwise, the food was just ok, I wasn't wowed by any of the flavors. The cauli on my pizza was nice and crispy and the addition of vegan bleu cheese was great. The pizza had a nice crust but not flavor. The gnocchi themselves didn't have much to them and the sauce was very run of the mill. I saw specials online for vegan chicken parm and was hoping to get it, but they had no specials that day. Ambience: The restaurant is tucked in a strip mall and parking can be precarious because of how full the strip gets. Inside is warmly decorated and doesn't make you feel like you're inside of a strip mall. If you find yourself in Greece, worth a visit! The restaurant is small but had decent amount of seating- booths and tables. I'm vegan and heard they had a lot of options for us. The menu had the items clearly marked. We had the vegan gnocchi and calzone. The complementary garlic knots are already vegan. We also had a white bean soup that was vegan. The calzone was delicious and large. We added some veggies to ours. The gnocchi came in a red sauce that tasted straight out of a can. It had no flavor sadly. The garlic knots were amazing. I enjoyed looking at the family photos on the back wall. There are lots of vegan options. My wife's Buffalo pizza was outstanding. The next time I go to Cinelli's, I'll order the Buffalo pizza. My "impossible burger" cheeseburger pizza was OK, but not great. The chunks of burger were overcooked and dry. The French fries on top were an interesting addition, but they made it hard to eat the pizza (the fries would fall off when you'd bite into the slice). I also had the cauliflower "wings". I really enjoyed them -- the hot sauce and the vegan blue cheese sauce were awesome. But the portion was small (especially for the $8.50 pricetag), and the cauliflower chunks did not in any way resemble chicken wings. For one thing, you had to eat them with a fork. The menu should not have referred to them as "wings". The vegan garlic knots were the highlight of my meal. I could eat those knots for my entire dinner. And they're a free appetizer! Amazing. Free garlic knots!! They are brought out after you order and before your meal. I'm obsessed with garlic knots and look high and low for them. this place serves them with Warm marinara and fresh chopped garlic (we asked for extra, and they sure did deliver!). I thought this place was the one. I thought this was going to be knot heaven. Unfortunately, the knots themselves had no taste to them. They are in desperate need for some salt... or something. I don't go to an Italian joint to eat healthy. We were also a little disappointed in our meals. We ordered spaghetti and meatballs and cheese ravioli in basil pesto sauce. I'm also obsessed with basil pesto. My bf got the spaghetti with their chunky sauce and it wasn't good at all (which isn't a cheap upcharge). He wished he had gotten the regular sauce. This place is absolutely great! I'm gluten-free and have found more to eat at this Italian restaurant than I find that most restaurants. They are not only gluten-free friendly, but also vegan friendly. I have had both their gluten-free buffalo cauliflower vegan wings as well as their gluten-free pizza and both are delicious. My niece tried the GF vegan pizza and said she wouldn't have been able to tell the difference from traditional pizza! I am absolutely impressed and look forward to continuing to eat there on a regular basis! My only recommendation would be to use packaging material that is more environmentally friendly. Plastic is definitely better than Styrofoam, but there are some compostable containers that would be great for takeout and for the environment! read more

My mother is not vegan but wanted to go to lunch with me. She loves Italian food and I had heard about this place in Greece that had an extensive vegan menu. When we first walked in we were greeted by a hand written sign that said we could ask for vegan menus. So I did. This is a moderately small place in a new, but also small, strip mall. There are several booths and a few tables in the center of the restaurant and a bar that didn't seem like an actual 'bar'. Everything in the restaurant is new and clean. The waitress was prompt in both seating us, taking our order, and bringing out ice water. The specials on the chalkboard were also vegan which was a nice surprise. My mother ordered the eggplant and I ordered the chik'n vegan Parmesan. While we waited the waitress brought out garlic knots. I had heard a lot about these gems that come with every meal. I'm not 100% sure how I feel about them but they were free so does it matter? They were swimming in olive oil - literally. Not a bad thing I suppose. They were topped with tons of what I thought was cheese at first - but turned out to be a whole lotta fresh garlic. I mean A LOT. The ratio of knot to olive oil and garlic was overwhelming. But a few scrapes of garlic later and careful not to let the bread touch any more of the oil, then a swim through the red sauce that was brought out with them, and they were pretty good. The red sauce was amazing actually. We received exactly one knot per person, just FYI. But they are on the menu so you can order more. A short time later our food arrived. You get a choice of soup, which was vegan, or salad which comes with a vinaigrette or a vegan blue cheese. My mom had the soup and said it was so good I couldn't have any. She ate it that fast. My salad was standard but oh so fresh. Large chunks of peppers, onions, crisp lettuce and a vegan blue cheese. A salad with no flair yet very refreshing. Fortunately my mom was full by the time she got to her eggplant. She ate about a quarter of it and then onto the pasta that also comes with the meal. A few bites and she was stuffed. So I got to try her eggplant. Crispy, delicious. Served with the red sauce it was definitely worth the drive over to Greece. My chik'n vegan Parmesan was just as good. Crispy, breaded, with pasta and the amazing red sauce. They also had vegan desserts but we were too full. The vegan menu is extensive and even includes kid's plates as well. Seems like a very family friendly place. Our waitress brought the check and boxes for left overs. All in all it was pretty good. I would definitely like to go back and try the other things on the vegan menu if I can stop myself from ordering the eggplant first! Nice job Cinelli's and thanks for all the vegan choices. We had a great meal there! Hubby had Fettuccine Alfredo and I had Linguine and Clams; both were fantastic. Ample sauce that stuck to the noodles, and great flavor, and the pasta wasn't watery at all (shockingly difficult to come by in this area). Our meals came with garlic knots, which were lovely, and side Caesar salads. They were great, and there was no up charge for Caesar. Service was pretty solid. Let's put this in perspective ok. This place is so over priced and the food (Vegan/Plant-Based) is substandard. I I can go item by item but will just give you some legitimate feedback. From their Vegan options: Chic-n-finger $8.50 you get 5 small plant based chikn tenders. These are made by Gardein and all Cinelli's does is heat them up and throw them in a container for you. By the way, these are $3 for 7 of them at places like tops or wegmans not too mention Cinelli's bulk buying rate is much lower. $8.50 for 5 of these things is borderline criminal. Cauliflower Wings $8.50 the portion is tiny! they steam some cauliflower, throw franks hot sauce on them and give you a tiny things of watered down vegan blue cheese. I would not have paid $2.00 for these! Loaded Fries: $7.00 what a joke! a tiny portion of french fried with a little vegan cheese sprinkled on and 2-3 tiny slices of jalapenos. Real value is about 50 cents. Vegan Pizzas $24 for a large! we tried every single one of them and they are fair at best. when considering the ridiculous price, they review drops down to awful. Those garlic knots are insane. Warm & buttery with actual chunks of garlic all over them. Mmm mmm. Also had the Califlower wings & they were amazing with Country Sweet Sauce. Best I've had. Also got the Meatless Lovers Pizza. I had it with real cheese, but the menu has it with vegan cheese. It has meatless sausage, beed, chicken, etc. Was really good too. Always have to try the new pizza place right? This is a small, family owned/operated establishment. We mainly only tried the pizza, but other offering are available as well such as pastas, subs.I believe their specialty is a thin crust (brick oven?) style. I saw quite a few of those waft by me and they looked good! But, my dining companion wanted a thicker crust so we went with the Sicilian style. There are many toppings here. We went with pepperoni, sausage, meatball, and mushroom. On the night that we went there was a huge party of about 16, in this quite tiny restaurant, I think overwhelming both the kitchen and the servers. Given this situation, we received very gracious service, but our pizza took a very long time, about 35-40 minutes. It would have been so worth it if the pizza was more sauce, because other than that it would have been excellent! At first when we tasted it, we wondered if there was sauce on it at all, but could then see a little smattering of red peeking out, so that was disappointing. Other than that, really good! The crust was super good, just that perfect combination of chewy/crispy. My daughter wanted pasta, which came with little "garlic knots" bread on the side, those were sooo good, they are also available on the app menu. Cinelli's is the only Italian restaurant I've found in Rochester with an entire vegan menu along with an extensive non-vegan menu. So, while I'm reviewing the vegan food I just want to note that all of my non-vegan friends also recommend this restaurant. This is a casual Italian restaurant with a good variety of menu options. Their vegan menu includes many classics - pasta with sauce, meatballs, sausage etc. (and other pasta dishes), calzones and pizza. They even have vegan Parmesan. The menu offers panini's at lunch including an impossible burger panini (which was really good btw). Along with all of this are several appetizers including Buffalo cauliflower wings and artichokes french. I've now eaten here several times and have been impressed with every meal. Their marinara is very good and I love the fact that I can order pasta with vegan meatballs or sausage. The calzone was just the way I remember calzones (I haven't been able to order one for years and I'm too lazy to make them). I also really liked the cauliflower wings, lightly crispy with a good Buffalo sauce. And their garlic knots are outstanding. What I love about this place is that it's so easy to eat here with non-vegan friends and not be stuck with just plain pasta or a salad. The atmosphere is nice, small but comfortable and the service has been consistently great.
