I caught a movie here last night, and was pleased with some serious improvements they have made! There for a while, the whole back stretch of theaters smelled like a male cat went through and sprayed every square inch of carpeting. From top to bottom. And the bathrooms were n.a.s.t.y. Last night, the theater smelled... well, it didn't smell! That's a great thing! And the bathrooms were considerably cleaner. Such great improvements! Tickets are $6 for general admission, and $4 for matinees and students (I think!). The popcorn is popped fresh, and my obligatory cherry icee tasted great! I am really pleased with the strides this theater has made. I'll definitely go there more often! read more

It's a great movie theater with a great arcade! I'll admit, it's an older theater, but for the price, you can't beat it. The RAVE in Hurst is overpriced, under-maintained and has a ton of screaming little girls. The Tinseltown in Grapevine has a full arcade, huge lobby with generally good food, a great staff, and current movies. The matinée prices are still $4-5. The main movie prices are still $7-9 The 3D prices are a little more expensive, but I don't really like the 3D movies anyway because they hurt my eyes after 2 hours. SO... all in all, we'll definitely be back. Makes for a great date night; would be better if they updated the seats to have the raising armrests and a little more "coosh for your toosh..." just sayin. read more

A way better experience than AMC. It's nice that the family can go enjoy the movie without dropping over $100 on tickets and food. Not only is it inexpensive it's also super comfortable. We take blankets for the kids and are able to recline and enjoy the movie as a family. I have been there 3 times so far and have had a great experience each time. The reserved seating is great and allows us to not worry about not getting good seats. Even with the online convenience fee it's still less expensive than other theaters. Cinemark - Grapevine - Cinema Near Me - Grapevine, Texas

This is a my favorite theater to go to in the Mid-Cities/Grapevine/Colleyville/Southlake area. Their prices are LOW. It's $6.25 for regularly priced shows ($4.25 for kids). Obviously matinee is lower and 3D events slightly higher. The sound quality and screen sizes are reasonable. Big plus is they replaced the gross cloth seats with some leather ones, so you definitely get more than you pay for! read more

Even though Cinemark Tinseltown in Grapevine isn't as grandioso as Cinemark Plano, it still deserves equal praise for the great service and quality this theater brings! I love the prices (economical for these times) and because it's semi-hidden, it's safe from loud obnoxious crowds there just to hang out and little kids running around. The seats are comfortable enough, and all I see is professionalism and great service. In terms of staff, I saw a hint of micromanaging (they were counting cups) and I exchanged my candy for another candy for equal price; however they had to refund the current candy and charge back the one I had exchanged for. They are tough with inventory for sure. I bet that's the reason they can keep the ticket prices down though. read more

This theater has been around for quite a while, but it still holds up. The theaters are clean and tickets are about as cheap as you will find. I paid $4.25 for a Saturday at Noon show, I was shocked. Since it isn't connected to a mall, there seem to be less teenagers and other young'ins bringing all that noise, ya dig? My mother loves going to the movies but doesn't hear well. Most theaters have headphones, but it's a crap shoot whether they will work or not. They have new headsets here that actually work. It's nice to not have to make my normal move, which is to ask for all the head phones in hopes of finding one pair that work. Otherwise it's just a standard theater. Arcade. Concessions. Plenty of screens. Definitely a go to theater for 30 year olds like me that want a cheap ticket to the movies with minimal distractions. read more

I came here on a Friday for an early evening movie. $4.25 matinee! The theater is huge, with ample seating and great surround sound! It's a little hard to find however. It sits way behind everything off of the highway and you can barely see it! I had to take the back roads just to get back there. The seats are super comfortable and if you go early enough you can catch a movie without the hoards of children in the way. It will definitely be my movie theater of choice if I'm ever on this side of town again! read more

This is a hidden gem! Movies are priced great for the same movie you see at another theater for way more money. You also won't have to take out a loan to get some popcorn and drinks. They have a nice little grill in there also, I recommend the cheese fries! Saw the Queen movie here and the XD sound was amazing felt like I was there at the concert. Not a fan of the food (its theater not a restaurant...) BUT the ticket prices are awesome. $7.25 for a 3D movie on Saturday of the opening weekend? CRAZY! We paid somewhere around $25 for tickets, food and drinks. It would have been twice as much back home (Bay Area) and we would have had crappy fabric seats not these nice pleather ones :-) read more

Ok, let me say that this is not a 5 star theater by any stretch of the imagination. However, the theater is relatively nice enough and the prices are unbeatable. The workers are always friendly. We went to this theatre for a late night date. The movie was great, but the theatre was not so great. While standing in the concession line for a few treats, we witnessed the only concession worker wipe his nose several times, handle money, and scoop popcorn. Once we found the perfect 2 seats in the theatre, we had to find our B options because of a distinctive whif of throw up in our area. I will of course call and speak with management, as they may be unaware. read more

This theatre has such a nostalgic feel to it, almost a 90s Nickelodeon type. Last night was our first visit to this theatre and boy we were in for a treat. We got our snacks ( 2 drinks and a large popcorn for 18$). Then headed to our seats, which were these large red gaming looking things. We sat down and all of a sudden our seats started to move. got the times for am and pm mixed up for the Elvis movie. a ton of other people did the same thing. only time offered in this theater and obviously causing confusion. also Cinemark has discontinued the free refills on popcorn due to reducing contact. so contact us all you want to sell you over-priced snacks but ooopps we can refill your popcorn, but will sell you something else. This place is a great neighborhood movie spot. It's the cheapest movie in town ($4 matinee, $6 regular, $3 extra for digital 3-D). It's been updated a little, but the interior isn't the most scenic or upscale. Still, what are you there for--to see a movie or to stare at the walls? The popcorn is fresh; you can get a refillable (for the year) tub that can be refilled for $3, which in movie-theatre language is pretty darn cheap. The seats are comfy, the service is good, and I haven't even noticed teenagers acting like idiots at this one. So, that's definitely a thumbs-up. As someone who sees movies most weekends, I feel at home here. read more

Sat 45 minutes after time movie was to start. Finally told it was bulb issue. Movie still didn't start so we were told we'd get a voucher. We only got a voucher for what we spent on ticket not including concessions for a movie not seen or wasted time. Very disappointing evening. Ah old friend, you keep getting better and better. They recently converted it to and "XD" theater (which is evidently the largest screen in America) but the prices are still great. They also added new "faux leather" seats that definitely feels like fake leather but still very comfy. It just feels a bit cleaner and overall revamped here now. ThIs place has been around forever, I didn't even have to pay for two years since my old roommate used to be a manager here. The place is a little rundown these days, but you can't beat $4 matinee and $6 night time tickets. Other good things are the food, pizza is decent but has gone up $3 for a large 2 topping. The chili cheese fries are the best and the funnel cake is the bomb. You can get ice cream, burgers, dogs, wings fries etc, you get the point. Of course the usual movie theater stuff. On a good day you can sit next to celebrities. I have been in the same theater with Pat Summeral, Terry Bradshaw and David Prowse (Darth Vader). This is the theater of my choice and I will drive the ten minutes to get here. read more

This is the theater I came to when I was a tween. Surprisingly, it doesn't still look like it did when I was young. Clean, updated and taken over by Cinemark, Tinseltown wasn't what I expected. The floors in the theater definitely had a layer of sticky icky that you had to trek through to get to your seats, but the prices are good and the popcorn wasn't awful. It's a far stretch from Fort Worth, but I enjoyed my movie. read more

Excellent theater to watch all latest movies at a very reasonable price($4.75 for Matinee) but make sure you be there well In advance especially in the weekends. Say if the show is at 4, make sure to be in by 3:30 so that you can choose the seats of your choice on weekends. Else you will end up sitting in the front rows closer to screen Lol. read more

This is our neighborhood cinema. We come her a least once a month and it's always clean and the quality of the screens are great. $4.25 for the standard matinee is AMAZING! We also always buy the $3 refill popcorn buckets and drink cups. This saves me tons of money over the year. The buckets is a perfect amount for two people. They now have a 3D and xtreme screen side that is pretty awesome for those fun action/super hero movies. They have great snack option that can get pricey but what movie theatre isn't now. Get the cinamark app, you can earn points for rewards pretty fast. Use cinemode during the movie and after you get a reward! read more

This theater gets 5 stars based merely on price! Stopped by here monday for the 11am show of the new Transformers, and to my surprise it was only $4 freakin bucks! I couldnt believe myself. Please do not support this theatre. On Saturday, January 8, 2011, I attended a screening of Tangled at the Grapevine location of Cinemark Theatres with my family. Behind me were two girls that, for the last 10 minutes of the movie, were laughing and talking, loudly, disruptively, and without interruption. They were with their parents, who made no attempt to stop their behavior. After the screening my mother informed a manager, and when face to face with the girls, she told them that she found their behavior unacceptable. The girls reportedly replied back in a defiant way, "It was only a kid's movie," but from afar, it seemed as if the girls were mouthing off. In her defense, I approached them and said loudly, "You do not speak to someone 30 years older than you that way." The 20-year-old manager, who was wearing an orange shirt, smugly threatened me that he would "gladly call an officer over here" -- even though I was defending my mother and had not said anything threatening, made any threatening gesture, or used obscene language. Meanwhile, he made no attempt whatsoever at consolation. Although I understand the need to keep peace, I find it highly offensive that I was threatened with officer intervention by the unthinking staff of Cinemark. It was a hurtful, cowardly, incompetent action, but I suppose it's one that might be expected from an employee who is more concerned about not bruising anyone's feelings (except mine!) than ensuring a good experience for patrons and resolving disputes successfully. Rest assured, Cinemark, that you will never see my money again under any circumstances, directly or indirectly. I will gladly pay twice as much elsewhere knowing that I am not paying the hourly wage of an employee that treats me like a criminal. read more

Simple review here. $4.25 adult matinee (before 6:00 pm), and for a first run movie (Deadpol). Brand new, beautiful, comfortable reclining seats. And a fantastic sound system. Clear and just loud enough. The picture was bright and clear. Great value. However, it is a little hidden, and I would agree with some of the other reviews that the lobby and halls are a little dated. To me that's a non-issue, because I'm not here to hang out in the lobby. I want a good, comfortable movie experience at a reasonable price. This place delivers that, and that's what counts. If I lived near here, this would be my go to theater, beyond a shadow of a doubt. read more
