Came of Breakfast and was pretty underwhelmed. Got the breakfast buffet, since just about any entree with a juice basically puts you at the same price as the $30 buffet (which is crazy by the way). Anyway, there's an omelet station, the essential breakfast hot foods, and tons of baked goods. There's a lot of really nice looking baked goods, and I tried most of them. While they all look really nice, none of them really blew me away. Nothing was bad, but it was all just alright. The one thing to avoid though is the macaron, it tasted pretty old and was way too tough. The unlimited juice was nice though. All in all, it's alright and if you have the money and are staying at the hotel, it's not a bad deal. However, if you're willing to venture out, I'd do it. read more

I didn't know that it was going to be an Easter Buffet Brunch that ended at 430. My reservation was for 330. For a supposedly posh place you would think you would get greeted better. Like maybe Welcome have you dined with us before/ It's Buffet right and it will end in an hour. No nothing like that she just said Hi then walked us to a table. I left my granddaughters to look at the Buffet Selections. The waitress came while I was gone. My girls even though they're 21 look like they could be 12 bcuz TSA always mistake them for 12. The waitress told them the cost of the buffet but didn't mention that it was ending soon. She brought us 3 waters and I asked for an ice tea. The waitress brought me a second tea after I asked for it. That was all she did. Other employees cleared our plates once. We only got to go to the buffet twice. There was nothing good that I ate. Prime Rib had no flavor even though I had au jus and horseradish with it. Sushi was just out on a table without any refrigeration or ice under it. Not a good selection of food. Taste of food and customer service was not good also. We were about to try the pastries at the bar but they disappeared. When I asked they said buffet is over. No Warning! It was Easter Sunday and I didn't want to get UPSET so I just paid my $571 bill with gratuity automatically added for 3 people. I told myself you are partially to blame because you didn't do research, which I usually do. My BAD for assuming that POSH Beverly Hilton Rooftop Restaurant was going to be great place to eat. We had a travelzoo deal for a 3-course Sunday brunch and breakfast buffet. Imagine our surprise when we showed up and are told that the 'deal' has changed because apparently there were too many travelzoo diners and it was too much work for them, so they are only offering an entree and no appetizer and dessert is whatever is offered buffet-style. I was NOT happy and asked to speak to the manager on duty. Close to walking out and get my travelzoo credit because it is not right that businesses sell and advertise a particular deal only to "change it" after. The manager showed up and kept insisting that ithe deal is different now and that all the buffet fares are as good as the appetizers that was on the menu offered before. I begged to differ. For example, the Mozzarella and Tomato "appetizer" on the buffet was basically just a plate of sad slices of tomatoes with no mozzarella left. She said that she can have the kitchen "plate us" one. No thank you. So, she left to go ask the Chef what can be arranged. When she came back, she offered 3 items that the Chef have on hand and can be prepared for our appetizer: the Mozzarella and Tomatoes, Calamari or a cheese plate or something not memorable. Ugh... not many choices, so in the spirit of trying to make it work, hubby and I ordered 2 of the Calamari appetizers. And turned out the entrées were also different now... there were none of the nice ones such as shrimp dishes or lobster salad. The best we could pick out of this slim choices was the Lobster roll... that turned out to be a few pieces of lobster on a mountain of coleslaw and HUGE bread roll. Not cool. So not cool when an 18% automatic gratuity based on the full non-discounted value was added to the bill + tax. Whilst service was not as horrible as we expected, although a few times, the servers had no consideration that we were deep in the middle of a conversation and they came right up and interrupted -- we'd rather spend this kind of money elsewhere. One star for the manager who tried to work with the situation. One star for the average service and atmosphere. I'm not sure if I got lucky but wow I had an amazing experience here. I came here with the hubby on a Sunday afternoon at 12pm for brunch. We did the $45 brunch per person where you can pick from the brunch menu and breakfast buffet. You get so many different options that it is a MUST that you come hungry (which I did). Our waitress was such a doll and was so helpful at all times. ( I don't remember her name :( ) Aside from getting a salmon omelet at the buffet station I ordered for starters the crab cake. OMG SOOOO GOOD!!! I love crab and that was just delicious. For my entree I got the Petite Strip Loin which was so full of flavor and the meat was so tender. Lastly we walked to the buffet table for some dessert and they had some nice options. They had an amazing bread pudding which I was surprised because it was on the buffet table. I also got a macaroon - also pretty good, and a small bite size fruit tart. Oh and best part of all our waitress just kept pouring the champagne for bottomless mimosas. She was seriously so great. We dined on last Sunday, March 3, 2024. The actual Circa 55 is being renovated, as is some of the Beverly Hilton Hotel, so our dining experience was hosted in the lobby. We were a reserved party of 5 for brunch, and seated at a table for 4. All 5 of us ordered the brunch *an exclusive menu* which caused our table to overflow with food and beverage, having to move some table items to the adjacent planter ledge. We asked our server if we could ad a table so we could allow for and experience appropriate meal presentation and personal comfort. We were accommodated, but well after the service began. We enjoyed our meal and our servers. However, the planning and expected presentation of meals and beverages appropriately lacked thought and preparation. For where we were and what we paid for brunch *$85pp and valet @ $15pc with validation*, we anticipated a much more comfortable and seamless experience. I visited twice over the course of my stay at the Beverly Hilton and I'm not impressed. The food here is very plain at best and for the price I was expecting something more flavorful at the least. I ordered the oysters, the salmon fillet, an NY style steak, and a cheese plate. The entrees came very plainly and I had to order additional sides (for 8$) in order to make both of my meals here complete. What? I ordered the garlic mushrooms (which were pretty good- but not 8$ good) The steak and fish came completely devoid of sauce or veggies of any kind? What what? The best part of the meal was by far the cheese platter - at least the cheese had flavor. The worst part of the meal was the fact that whenever I asked the waitress a question pertaining to my meal - she would face the other member of my party, an older man who I presume she thought was paying and tipping, and answer the question completely facing him as if he had asked the question and would respond. During my last trip I had the short rib pappardelle, which was melt in your mouth perfect. There is an indoor dining area, including bar seating, and outdoor dining by the pool area. Valet and self parking available. Our server and food runners were kind and attentive. What we ordered: Apps- Oysters Rockefeller, pork belly, and Muscles. All were fine. Entrees- Petit filet (The portion was so thin that a medium rare order ended up coming to us well done. We sent it back, and there wasnt much improvement on the replacement.) Mushroom Risotto (overcooked, kind of mushy, lacked salt) Desserts: Creme Brulee Sampler and Fruit Cobbler- Both were fine. This restaurant is located by the pool and it's really nice to sit outside. You feel transported and doesn't feel like you're sitting in the middle of a busy street. Brunch is buffet style. There are tons of options and enough for vegetarians. My favorites were the mini waffles and omelette station. There are tons of toppings you can put on the omelette. I went a little crazy! I sat outside when I could and at least when I was there being poolside gave a good view while remaining pretty quiet. I came to Circa 55 while spending a few days at the Hilton for a business trip. It was a really nice restaurant with excellent service. The staff were extremely nice and attentive. The quality of the food was also really good. I had the salmon dish on one day and the super food salad on another. The salmon was juicy and the salad was actually really delicious. I ordered the salad with chicken but the problem with the chicken was that it was just to dry a piece of chicken breast and so hard to chew. I also tried two desserts. The berries tart with dulce de leche icecream was just perfect! However the chocolate and vanilla creme brulee combo wasnt as good. We had Sunday Brunch at Circa 55 with a 12noon reservation for a party of 3 on Sunday, 03/12/2017. Two of us used a Travelzoo voucher and one of us paid regular price. I stayed at the Beverly Hilton back in 2000, and this was the first time I was back since 2000 -- and I have lived here since 2013. The Beverly Hilton is an old property that is very well taken care of, and this restaurant is no exception. Circa 55 is open, bright, casual yet classy and the decor is something that screams comfortable. On Sunday, as far as I know, the only option is the Champagne Brunch Buffet which is $45 per person. A relative value for what we received and the area. We requested a table outside as it was a beautiful day, and we sat nearby the beautiful hotel pool. The service with mimosa refills was fabulous! They were always around and refilling them without us having to ask. The food was great too. In a buffet situation, I use an indicator of about 75%. If I believe 75% of the food that I eat tastes great, then I think it is an excellent buffet. I would say this definitely met that indicator. The desserts were fabulous! The blondie pop, the cakes and the Champagne truffles. All delicious. Some of my favorite dishes included the short rib, shrimp tacos, crab, omelettes and even the chicken tenders. We stayed for about 2 hours and never felt that we were rushed at any time. I believe they do add a 18% gratuity automatically to everyone's bill, which is fine so as long as they keep up the great Mimosa service. You can also self park in the garage for $7 as long as you get validated at the restaurant. I would definitely return again. read more

I had never been to this place before nor have I heard anything about this place prior to my visit. I've always been a big fan of bottomless brunch places that provides great quality of food as well as services. I had no expectations but for more than $50 per person, I do expect a good deal of selection and quality. Since this is basically a buffet style environment (at least for brunch), I really don't expect a great deal of service, but since I'm on the subject, the service didn't disappoint. The waiter was busy but always around and able to accommodate all the dining needs. There was a good amount of food selection. Since it is a brunch, I do not expect an overwhelming selections as you get at any buffet locations. I enjoyed the food and so did my girlfriend (she has a very particular palate so with her enjoying this place is pretty much a very good thing). Lastly, my girlfriend and I enjoyed the fact that we have a selection to seat either inside or outside - pool side. The Restaurant itself feels very welcoming and plenty of space walking around tables (not like an obstacle course as you get with other buffet style restaurants). Circa 55 just outdid Pop Champagne and Dessert Bar as my new favorite bottomless brunch place. I found it through an Amazon Local deal, brought 8 girlfriends, and we had ourselves a blast! The deal was $55 for bottomless mimosas, the breakfast buffet, a starter, and an entrée, for two. SO MUCH FOOD but we hung out for a long time. I think normally, this is $45, which is a great deal considering the atmosphere and quality. Circa 55 is at the bottom level of the Beverly Hilton, next to Trader Vic's, with no outside signage. The décor is nice, updated midcentury style, which I LOVE. To me, it's timeless and pays homage to the hotel's history. You can sit indoors or outdoors/poolside, and lots of natural light from the large windows makes the inside just as nice. We ordered our starters and entrees, then hit the buffet. I went with the beet and goat cheese salad, which was delicious.... I finished it even though I meant to save myself for the rest of the food. I also ordered the mushroom ravioli, which was also fantastic and generous in portion. My friends really liked their salmon, and lobster cobb salad dishes. The menu was more lunch item-based than breakfast, which was great because the buffet was more than enough breakfast to give a good brunchy balance. At the end of your meal, they bring a cute, tiered dessert tray with macarons, mousse cups, brownie pops, chocolate strawberries, and cheesecakes. Save some room! The buffet was super impressive, especially for a hotel. It included an omelet bar, meat and cheese plate, smoked salmon, pastries, yogurt and greek yogurt cups, perfectly-cooked eggs, waffles, and more that I can't remember. All bacon is amazing, but this bacon was the TRUTH. I honestly want to know where it was from and how the cook it to perfection. Embarrassingly, we got a plate full of it for the table and passed it around as a snack... it was all gone. I think I would have bought another deal just for bacon and mimosas. As for mimosas, you could order plain bubbly (Prosecco), OJ, grapefruit, or pomegranate, and alternate as much as you wanted. My family and I were here on Saturday evening for dinner and it was underwhelming and looked like any other hotel restaurant. We returned Sunday morning for Brunch and the boring hotel restaurant came to life with a beautiful spread of breakfast foods, desserts, seafood (poke, crab legs, shrimp), Mexican and Italian food options, a kids buffet and freshly grilled meat, chicken and fish at the poolside bbq. The backdrop of the Beverly Hilton pool on a sunny California day set with long black drapes kind of separating or creating section seating outside by the pool made for a memorable and great Mother's Day brunch. It was old Hollywood glamour that you can only find at the one and only Beverly Hilton. I imagine the next best thing would be a hotel of this demeanor in Palm Springs. The food quality was top notch and another reason why I'd recommend a splurge for your loved on here. We always go big for Mother's day, but we haven't reached caviar status but were damn near close here. The stand out features of this buffet for me were: - The freshly squeezed orange, carrot and beet juices. - The salmon and tri tip that were freshly grilled with that mesquite flavor that required no additional sauces because the meat was juicy and tender. - The sundae station which featured waffle bowls and ice cream scooped fresh by a chef. - The endless dessert table which were beautifully decorated and tasted just as great using real ingredients. - It wasn't overly crowded for Mother's Day! I've been to many other Brunches on Mother's Day and there are wait times of more than an hour, confusion, stress, etc. Sitting poolside in Beverly Hills eating top notch food with great service is a relaxing and beautiful experience. The other wow factor was our server Frank. My dad likes to call the shots which can be taken the wrong way and has been in the past with most waiters/ waitresses/servers, but Frank was so positive and took my dad's request and ran with it. We could tell the hostess that was arranging the seating was annoyed with Frank's moving of the tables to satisfy my dad and mom, but he fought for us and made it happen and kept checking on us and was smiling and even stopped me on my way back to the buffet to make sure my mom was happy (my dad likes to call shots, but my mom doesn't agree with them and is the REAL shot caller) which I thought was really kind. My sister's and I ALL thanked Frank for his help, tolerance and kindness. I wouldn't recommend dinner here, but I would recommend it for a memorable brunch experience with loved ones. read more

Circa 55 is a place where such feats can be achieved and then bookended with a 50-foot jaunt to Trader Vic's. The atmosphere was fine...it definitely felt like an upscale hotel's diner. The outdoor seating and pool looked lovely, but we were seated inside. Which was fine, because that meant we were closer to the buffet that happened to be included with our three-course meal. I was also excited to see we could use it for a bottomless Mimosa brunch. This just kept getting better. We called to make a reservation but were assured we didn't need to. We were seated right away, near the pool but still in the shade. It was a great place to sit and chat with a few (dozen) Mimosas. They have a buffet, which is like $35 each... but neither of us were in the mood for gorging. Instead we opted to order off the menu and do the whole bottomless Mimosa thing, of course. We started with the lobster bisque. It was good. The Mimosas were excellent. And the cute little bottles of champagne started lining up on our table. For entrees, she had the short ribs and I had the Huevos Rancheros sans beans (I hate black beans). Hers looked delicious. Mine was dry - which is probably my fault because I'm assuming the beans added some needed moisture perhaps? No matter... by this time we were well into the Mimosas. Our server was patient and kept us topped off - bless his heart. For dessert, a selection of mini pastries. All pretty good. I think. Whatever. They were cute. By this time, we had been there for a couple of hours. We were surely testing that whole "bottomless" theory. Server remained patient and good natured. At this point, we wanted to smoke (because you know - bottomless). Turns out there is a smoking area not far from the pool area. I love this place man. I came here for Sunday brunch with my parents and my husband. I only knew about it because of a TravelZoo voucher which I purchased for brunch for 4. It is on the lower level of the Beverly Hilton Hotel, the pool level, beneath the lobby. It seemed that everyone dining there that day had the same TravelZoo voucher, and I imagine it's tricky for them to get non-hotel guests to know about and dine at their restaurant so I think their push for the voucher was a good way to get more locals in the door. We did the self-park at the Beverly Hilton garage, which still ended up costing us $7 even after the validation from the restaurant. The voucher I purchased required reservations, which I made a week in advance on OpenTable. When we arrived at the host stand, we had a bit of a wait, as they were initially helping another party and then took their time before turning their attention to us. This wasn't the best first impression, as they seemed preoccupied and didn't even say "we'll be with you in a moment" or anything to acknowledge we had been standing there for a bit. When the woman finally turned her attention to us and I gave her our name, she claimed to have no reservation for me. I showed her my confirmation email to prove I did in fact have a confirmed reservation for that date and time for our party, and they finally seated us. The ambiance of the place is like old-Hollywood, and it does look like a scene out of Mad Men, with the decor from the 1960's. It didn't look dingy or old, it appeared to be a clean dining room, just decorated from the 60's. We waited a long while with waiters buzzing past us in all directions, with no one stopping by our table, or anyone even acknowledging that we were there. Finally my dad tracked down a waitress. She was friendly, but didn't have enough time to give us quality service. It seemed they may have been short-staffed. She did refill our mimosas without us having to ask, so that was nice since it was one of the draws of the voucher. Our voucher included a first course and entree for each person, along with the breakfast buffet, dessert buffet, and unlimited drinks. It was entirely too much food. The food we ordered off the menu was not bad, but not memorable either. The breakfast buffet, which included an omelette station, was a pretty standard breakfast buffet with average food. The same was true for the dessert buffet. The bottomless mimosas were probably the best part, but you can get those at any brunch spot. Overall, the food was plentiful in quantity but lacked quality, especially for Beverly Hills. There are plenty of great brunch spots in the area with better food quality and better service. And while the ambiance may be charming to some, it's not my personal preference. They were smart to draw in a mass of customers via the TravelZoo voucher (literally every table around us had the same one we did), but I don't feel they did an adequate job of impressing customers or earning repeat business. read more

When we got there, they weren't able to accommodate my request since it seems as if they were reserving the table for someone more VIP than us. In terms of service, our server could've spoken up a bit more, but generally, I was glad the staff were very receptive to our requests. They were able to move the umbrella to shift the shade to our table, so we would continue to enjoy our lunch without the sun's rays hitting our eyes. Although we had a pretty good experience with the pool side seating, I'm a bit on the fence about this place. I love the ambiance of the place indoors and pool-side too. My husband and I bought a travelzoo deal for brunch, which included: three-courses and breakfast buffet. I recommend skipping the buffet because the three-course option for $35/person was enough food for one-person. The food was good, but the service was subpar. After we were seated, our server greeted us about 10 minutes later. I felt through out our dining experience we were not well-attended to. For example: we had to ask for water and soft drink refills, and did not get new silverware for dessert. I think the service could easily improve if the servers are more attentive and communicate more with staff and customers. Our server was Miguel and he was pleasant, but could have acknowledged and/or apologized for waiting 10 minutes before taking our order. Food: I recommend the coffee braised short rib - it was cooked perfectly! Juicy and well-seasoned. I also recommend the lobster bisque or the roasted beet & goat cheese salad for a starter. First, I'd like to say that I'm finally happy that this place now serves more than just bakery items fruits, now it's a full on brunch and very impressive. This is a great alternative to taking your mother out to the Four Seasons Hotel, Bel Air Hotel or some other expensive brunch venue. Food: Outstanding. High quality seafood, variety of foods (baked fish, cocktail shrimp, sushi, breakfast section, veggies, and list goes on). Parking: Great self-parking. You're not having to find yourself forced to go in the valet parking. Wait times: During special events like Mother's day, you can expect to wait at least 10-15 minutes to get seated. Not too bad. Everyone always asks if "is this the line for the brunch?" Of course it is. Even IF YOU HAVE A RESERVATION, YOU STILL NEED TO WAIT IN LINE. Sorry folks. Service: Waiters are always nearby to make sure your drink, your mimosa or other beverage is full. Full bar nearby as well. No having to chase down any waiters. Ambience: Great seating outside. You can get a booth which is comfortable for everyone (including you big fellas). Overall Experience: Amazing. A little bit stiff on the price, but relatively I think it might be cheaper than the competition. My mother and I were around $250 or less, I believe? But anyways, great experience. Let the prosecco flow!!! This is one of the reason, I love this place. I also liked the food and the relaxed atmosphere. I have been there three times already and stayed for at least two hours (anything less is not brunch) and never felt rushed. The times I have been there, I have felt spoiled by the service. Everyone from manager to the people busing the table were friendly and helpful. They are trying to create a '50s ambiance, which is not really successful. The best thing about that is the music. Great songs from that era. The food is excellent. In addition to a breakfast bar, you also get an a la carte entree. The selection is nicely varied. There are vegetarian options. The first two times they brought a selection of desserts to the table. The last time, it was a dessert buffet. Lovely selection of yummy goodness. There's been a change in the menu since the last time I was there. It's basically the same, just packaged differently. Before, it was the breakfast bar and a three course lunch. Now the salad and desserts are part of the buffet and you order the entree. Oh....and If you don't like prosecco, they have a nice wine list and a full bar. They take reservations, but if you don't mind waiting they will take walk-ins. There's valet parking and it was only 7.00 There could be a celebrity siting. Came here for their brunch and I must say it was awesome! It was actually not packed at all but we did make reservations just to be safe. The brunch we picked had option of a menu and a breakfast buffet. It was great having both options because the actual dish from the menu did take a little to come out but it was worth the wait. This location is inside the Beverly Hilton and parking is $7 with validation which isn't bad at all. You have option of sitting inside or outside. The staff was very nice and would come around often asking if we needed anything. I would recommend this location for a slow day when you have time to eat slow and enjoy trying a lot from their menu. read more
