First timer to visit, and I have to say it was not the best visit. Not sure I want to go back for a 2nd try. Atmosphere was loud and tables a bit crowded. It was Friday lunch rush, but those tables are a bit close and feels kind of crammed in. The wait staff were not all that friendly. Hostess gave an eye roll to my friend for whatever reason when told another would be joining (me). And the waiter simultaneously didn't listen while being a little rude. I asked for unsweetened tea, no lemon. He asked me twice if I wanted sweetener (I said no, unsweet, and he had to ask again). And then the tea came with a brown, sporty lemon. We ordered food, asked a few questions, which he seemed annoyed by -- I simply wanted to know if I could skip the beans and have lettuce and tomato with my taco instead. The answer was I could skip beans but no to the lettuce and tomato; had to order a whole separate side salad. So no substitution there -- ok no worries, but a little less attitude in answering my question. I know it was busy - maybe he was having a bad day - but as a former waitress, you have to leave that negativity behind when at a table with paying customers. We also ordered a to go order, which came on a plate, not to go. So back it went to be boxed up. On the plus side, the food was mostly good. I had blackened fish tacos...and the controversial side salad. Both were tasty. Blackened fish was not too spicy, and came with a nice fresh slaw on the tacos. It was supposed to have rice, but that was missing. I didn't mention it - my waistline didn't need it, but at this point I also didn't feel like talking to the waiter more than I had to. My friend agreed. She was also getting a little attitude when she asked a question herself about her to go order. My friend had Buffalo chicken salad. She really liked it. We split a Buffalo chicken queso and chips as a starter -- the dip was absolutely delish, although chips were stale. My tacos and her salad potions were big. So was the price tag IMO. No lunch menu that I saw. I also wasn't asked if I wanted a to go box for my leftovers. The waiter just whisked my plate away while I was talking without asking. So no doggie bags for me - woof. I paid $30 for an order of 3 fish tacos, a side salad, 1/2 the app, and tea with a gross lemon wedge that I didn't want anyway... and for less than stellar customer service. I wasn't impressed. I don't think I'll go back. However, others seem to enjoy their visit based off reviews. So give it a try and form your own opinion! Cheers! read more

Who knew that a late-night post-travel desperation meal would lead us to one of our new favorite places? We were coming back from Lambert after a long day on a plane and I was mad at my husband because the place where I wanted to eat was closed early that night and we had driven there anyway because he didn't call ahead to make sure they were open LIKE I SAID HE SHOULD. Anyway, he was getting desperate and I was getting hungrier and angrier so we scuttled on over to Circle 7 Ranch to try to preserve what was left of our relationship - and it turned out to be a great choice! Fantastic and super interesting beer setup, tasty cocktails, and friendly staff. But what really surprised me, honestly, was the food. I wasn't expecting a whole lot but it was crazy how good everything was. We got some Fiery Honey Shrimp (loved the sauce!) and Fried Pepper Jack and I got a Zwickel Fish Sandwich that I highly, highly recommend. Batter is great, bread is amazing, and the whole thing comes together really nicely. They know their way around their cocktails as well - we'll be back many times in the future! read more

This was the second time we came here and we love it! The staff has been friendly, the atmosphere lively, and food delicious! The firery honey chicken sandwich is to die for! Crispy, not too spicy, and full of flavor! Their ranch (for dipping French fries in) is homemade and they didn't skimp on giving you a lot of it! The boyfriend took me out to dinner on a whim; he's been here plenty but I never had, and I must say how impressed I am. He described it as an "upscale Applebees" with some "Texas Roadhouse" to it. I assume he was just combining all American restaurants into one to compare this place to. While it was hard to choose with so many options, I stuck with the Circle 7 Ranch Wrap. His go to at this place is the Rise n Shine burger. The wrap is southwest style & was big in portion, I saved the other half for later on. Fries were seriously some of the best. His burger looked visually amazing, like something you'd see in a commercial. Melted cheese, juicy hamburger meat, & the neat branding they did on the bun. They do specials weekdays on drinks, so I did Moscow Mule on Wednesday. A lot of vodka at first, could've used more ginger beer/lime to my liking, but got used to it. Service was great, not only did our server check in on us but so did others who work there. Will be back to try out more on the menu! read more

The atmosphere is welcoming and wait staff friendly. Portions are large and dressings are home made adding a special quality. If you are a beer drinker there are taps at the tables to make service very handy. Come eat, sit and stay for awhile. Never felt rushed or pressured to clear the table. read more

Circle 7 is our go-to restaurant. We went yesterday evening to celebrate a friend's birthday with two tweens in tow. Emilia is easily the best server at Circle 7, she is attentive, answers questions, anticipates needs, and makes helpful suggestions. The food was great, were pleasantly surprised that we made it for happy hour ($7 snacks anyone)! We enjoyed the fiery honey-fried cauliflower (I do prefer the shrimp), corn fritters, toasted ravioli, and cheese bites. The kids enjoyed the variety. Our meals were hot and fresh (the Yellowstone burger is a MUST TRY). I will continue to go back. The staff is great, prices are reasonable and the food is wonderful, what more do you need? read more

I have very mixed feelings about my visit to Circle 7 Ranch. 3 stars is not a great rating but I honestly still think I'd recommend it. The environment here is perfect for grabbing a drink and watching the game - with lots of bar food options to munch on. It also has a great patio to enjoy. The wait at this place is INSANE. Thank goodness they give the option to join the waitlist from Yelp - the Friday night wait was 75 minutes + (we enjoyed this wait from home and waited only 10-15 minutes at the restaurant... thank you Yelp!!!). Definitely hop on the wait list before you go. The food we ordered was hit and miss. The soft pretzels were delicious and a perfect starter. I ordered the Zwickel Fish Sandwich. While very delicious - the fish to bread ratio was way off. They served it on basically an entire loaf of bread, so I chose to eat it opened faced. My partner ordered the French Dip and I definitely had order envy! Lots of meat and sautéed veggies with a salty, rich au jus for dipping. Their fries were a major disappointment. They tasted like they'd been sitting out all day and weren't very hot. Their sweet potato fries on the flip side were hot, fresh and so delicious. Our waitress was very attentive and refilled our drinks frequently. We'll be back to enjoy the patio but may try different menu items next time. read more

Been to Circle 7 a few times, and it's pretty solid! A good place to watch a game or grab a lunch. There can be a pretty sizable wait during peak times, so making a reservation or getting on the waitlist is advised, but once you're seated the service is quick and efficient. The food is definitely above average for pub-style fare, and the pretzels are a must-get every time. Their real shining star is their beer selection, which is extensive and has quite a few underground local craft options. I've discovered several new regulars that I buy for myself there (including the one pictured). Overall, a solid and reliable dining experience. read more

Came here on a late night Sunday and was so pleasantly surprised with the impulse choice. St Nick was our bartender / server and was a phenomenal guy, great service all around. Took care of us top to bottom, excellent conversation, good drinks and the food (I got the impossible tacos and my colleague the classic burger) was some of the best I've had in the city. We met my brother and sister-in-law for a late lunch after they did some Christmas shopping at West County Mall. The wait list worked out perfectly - when we arrived they had a table for us. Our server Ali was just a super guy! Great sense of humor--we're all jokesters--but he was also very efficient in taking care of his tables. At no time were our drinks empty. Fresh water, soda, etc. arrived without having to ask. My wife must eat gluten-free (she's celiac) and she's glad for the GF menu. Ali knew all about the gluten free thing, and without being asked let her know that the fries on someone else's order would not be gluten-free (coming from a fryer shared with other foods). That was a thoughtful touch and indicates that the management and staff understand what it means to customers that need to follow a GF diet. The food arrived quickly. The Cobb salads were very good, and my brother really liked the NOLA wrap. So: service was outstanding; food was very good; help for a GF diner was very much appreciated. Visited last night after a late basketball game. We had a party of 7, it was 9:30 and I felt bad coming late but there were others still in the restaurant and I even asked if they would prefer us not to come. No problem at all- and this didn't seem to be a "sure no problem" situation that they were actually annoyed about. A few in our party even went to the wrong location and they assured us it was not a problem and actually happens all the time. We ordered our apps with drinks, ordered food quickly to not prolong the meal. A few of the people with us had never been before either. Let me just say everyone loves their food!! We had fish tacos- my daughter said they were the best she'd ever had!! - a buffalo chicken wrap- stuffed with items and not just full of lettuce, 2 burgers- thick juicy and very flavorful (the circle 7 stamp on the top bun is a nice touch), a fajita bowl with shrimp was full of toppings, lots of flavor and raved about, buffalo Mac and cheese- this was to go, but my daughter stole a bite and loved it, and boneless wings- really good, hand breaded, not frozen, and I wish they bottled the honey fire sauce- it is soo good!! It was a great meal, with terrific service. We have always loved Circle 7 since our first visit years ago, but we certainly made a few new fans tonight. Have been here 3 times now! And that's saying a lot during a pandemic lol. Each time with more than 5 ppl in my party. Covid precautions were listed and in place when we walked up. We are always nicely greeted by the ladies at the hostess stand. There has been a wait each time we came, but that's no biggie, whenever our table is ready we are seated right away. The outside seating is so perfect, we sat outside each time I've been there. The servers are consistently attentive to our needs and so pleasant. The wings have become some of my favorites. And that's huge because not everyone can make good wings, restaurant or not. Lol. The trash fries are pretty good too! The margarita flights are a MUST HAVE! so fun to try all/new flavors. Great for kids, families, girls night etc. Those are the exact 3 reasons I have been here actually lol. Can't wait to return. read more

I was in on Monday night, service was good but a couple food issues. I ordered the Fish Dinner and the portion was not the problem. When you are trying to cut the fish into small pieces to eat and the "paper" that they line the metal plate with shreds, that is a problem. Especially when you have a flaky white fish and a white torn paper. The fish had good flavor but it was not very hot when served and as cool as the breeze was in the dining room, it cooled off very quickly. The temperature in the dining area was cold and I did ask the waiter to get it warmed up, they did for a few minutes and then it cooled back down. read more
