Enjoyed my first visit for the Father's Day brunch. Actually brunch is every Sunday with a rotating carving station item. This day they featured prime rib and ham. There were the usual brunch items: soups, salads, smoked salmon, eggs, bacon, sausage links, herb potatoes, biscuits and gravy, pancakes, French toast and an omelette station. If breakfast didn't fill you up there were lunch entrées too. Chicken creamed spinach, Sunday roast, mashed potatoes, grilled veggies, fresh corn cut off the cob and mashed potatoes. Finally assorted pastries and fresh fruit. Our waitress Lilly was outstanding and it was even her very first brunch service. So friendly and attentive which made our experience that much more enjoyable. Thank you Lilly! We had an early reservation which turned out to be good as by the time we were leaving the crowds showed up. Only thing, just before we left, live entertainment started which was a nice touch. Wish we could have listened longer but they had a 90 minute seating time which I guess was because it was Father's Day. I would definitely return, but don't be in a hurry if you plan on dining here. The restaurant is located in a strip mall with plenty of parking available. We visited on a Saturday at 5:00 PM with a group of 10 and made reservations ahead of time. In hindsight, reservations weren't really necessary since the restaurant wasn't very busy. There was a private party in the back room, but it didn't affect our dining experience at all. Food: Overall, the food was very good. I'm not sure why there are so many reviews mentioning bland or flavorless food because that wasn't our experience. The complimentary bread was outstanding. I wasn't personally a fan of the orange marmalade served with it, but everyone else at our table really enjoyed it. I highly recommend the stuffed cremini mushrooms, jacket potatoes, and salmon bruschetta. Everyone who ordered a salad or the clam chowder soup was pleased with their food. For entrees, our group enjoyed the grilled pork chop, glazed pork ribs, salmon, fish and chips (definitely not bland), and the kids' chicken strips. The side dishes and drinks were also very good. The atmosphere was inviting, and the restaurant was clean and well-maintained. Service: Our waitress was wonderful and worked very hard, but the restaurant appeared to be short-staffed. I honestly felt bad for her. You could tell some of the other customers were becoming frustrated with the wait times as well. Another issue was the lack of high chairs--we had to wait for another family to leave before one became available. I would have given this restaurant 5 stars if they had more staff on hand and a few extra high chairs available. The service was excellent but I can't say the same for the food. My friends enjoyed their meals. Mine was bland and I think came out of a Sysco box. I ordered the fish and chips. Not a hard dish to prepare. The fish was three pieces that looked like they came frozen in a box. The batter was a thin greasy coating instead of a light crispy batter that has a lot of crunch. When I cut into a piece I was spattered with grease. Again, the fish looked and tasted like what you get from a Gorton's Fisherman box in the freezer aisle. After a Yelp "sampling" event in recent weeks,, we enjoyed OH LONDON enough to return for a full meal experience. Got the same friendly service, nice variety of tasty foods served hot from kitchen, and a relaxed casual ambience. Happy Hour specials (at the bar area only) available everyday 3-6p. Overall, 4.5 experience for me for all above, and expect to pay $15-30pp. Was not an inexpensive meal, but well enjoyed by my family for some delicious "comfort" foods! Today we tried Smoked Wings and Chelsea Chilli Sprouts for starters, both shareable and flavorful! Also tried the Clam Chowder, which was creamy, chunky and tasty, but not quite like goin to New England, but very good. Fish & Chips were delicious, crunchy texture with moist tender fish served with Malt Vinegar and house-made Tartar Sauce- my fave! The Big Ben Burger was also excellent, cooked to order and filling. Today was the first time I had ever been to this place it had been suggested to me before for a Sunday brunch. We went there as a big group of 22 people and our server Mariah was definitely wonderful she was on her toes and took very good care of it also the manager was a great guy and kept asking if there's anything that he could do to make her meal more enjoyable for our big group the brunch was about $35 but there was a lot of food they had $14 unlimited mimosas three different flavors so it was a very nice atmosphere. I would definitely recommend this for a large group just call in advance or even a night for two people it is a very classic place but check their website they also have a lot of themed nights that they do so that can be a lot of fun as well. Food was fine. Brussels were my fav. 6/10. Flavor was good. Not crispy though and the cheese was not helpful. Wings. 6/10. Smokey flavor. Chips. 5/10. A big soggy. Fish. 6/10. Crispy. Unique batter. This is a friendly restaurant with a family atmospheres. I have not seen a beer menu this extensive but I don't get out a lot. I enjoyed eating there. They also have live music. The food was the part that was disappointing. I had bangers and mash. The food was over salted and not warm enough. My husband had a cheeseburger and described it as OK. The most important will we be back? Yes I believe so. The details. Man. I have been to every iteration of this restaurant in the last 4 years. I need to say, this is the cleanest, nicest version yet. The middle restaurant, no need to slander, took the old furniture and kept it all the same, there were damaged chairs, lights out, some of the decor was damaged. It was kind of sad. I do not enjoy getting the Chef's Special on a first visit, why? because I will never get to eat it again. That was an easy one for me, not for my partner, he opted for the shepherd's pie, since really he had never had it before. The server also made sure to mention, this one was was with lamb and not beef, very peculiar. But he loved it so much, he is the one that was ready to come back. We did also get an appetizer of calamari, the breading was nothing to write home about, but with their menu, I had several appetizers that I wanted to try. I chose the fish & chips for my main, the only other entree I could compare this to would be F&C at McGurks. I don't know why, but I love it so much there, that being said, the batter was completely different. Apples to Oranges. I did read a previous review about the batter, I had no issues, seasoning seemed even, batter was even, food was very warm served to our table. The 'chips' were good, solid, comfort food, exactly what I was looking for in this blistery cold evening. We did get a cheesecake with blueberry compote, we were excitedly informed that the compote was made in house, while we did take it home to eat it, I would easily go back to Oh London! We were having dinner with friends and we all wanted to check this place out, so we did! I actually made a reservation which turned out to not be necessary. When we arrived, there was a guy behind the bar and he yelled over and said he would be right with us. When I made a reservation, I had to choose which room to make one in. There were multiple choices - bar, restaurant, dining room, and I think banquet room. I believe I chose dining room, but in the end it didn't matter. We were told to choose any table we wanted in a good sized area. After we sat down, nothing happened. We weren't brought over menus and nobody approached us for at least ten or so minutes. We made note of not and enjoyed catching up with our friends while we waited. Eventually, the guy behind the bar came over and introduced himself and gave us menus. I think we may have ordered drinks then ,but it may have been a few minutes later. Eventually we got our drinks - there was a lag between when we ordered and when they were received. This may be the time to add that there were maybe six other people in the restaurant. They were not busy at all. It was a Monday night and I get it - it's not necessarily a big dining out night, but I don't think I've ever been in such an empty restaurant. The guy came over a while later to take our food order. We'd had a bit of time to look at the menu, so we were prepared! Our food didn't come out super fast, but we didn't have to wait a long time. There was a guy that was coming by our table and I'm guessing he was an owner or the manager. He kept asking if everything was okay and if we were happy and please share on social media - it was kind of a lot. Overall, we all thought it was okay. Not great. But okay. My husband got Bangers and Mash (he had never had it before) and said it was just okay and that the sausage was very salty. We got the Precel (pretzel bites with cheese and mustard) and they were really good. I had fish and chips and the fries were good - the fish was lightly breaded and flaky and tasted okay. Our friends said their meals were all right. One of them ordered a sandwich and she really liked it. The guys ordered black and tans and the pour was great! Stopped in to try Oh London in the evening. Possibly an "off" night this time. The venue was decorated for Valentine's Day with balloons and flowers and also a photo op in the entry way. There were empty tables available with no wait in the dining area, but we sat in the bar seating area. We placed our order and there was a slight mix up, ordered a cup of clam chowder, received bowl of soup of the day chicken corn chowder. Waited a decent amount of time for the bowl of clam chowder (which is wonderful). The staff was kind and offered a free dessert. The dessert arrived a while before the clam chowder. The Big Ben burger and sweet potato fries was a tasty meal. Burger cooked perfectly. The bill arrived and was incorrect as well. The standard buffet items such as chicken fettucine, bacon and sausage were all quality meats, not cheap meats. More like Oh No! My friend and I decided to check out Oh London in Creve Coeur after reading a fellow Yelp eliter's review. One thing I've learned from Yelp eliters who are influencers too: be cautious with influencer reviews. A lot of them don't come across as genuine or honest and know who to follow/trust. If someone's constantly promoting places with glowing praise, it's worth questioning how authentic their experience really was. Now, I may not have thousands of followers, but I do give real, honest feedback--ha! That said, I'm giving Oh London 2 out of 5 stars. The drinks were decent, and the service was solid, which is the only reason this place isn't getting a lower rating. Unfortunately, the food just didn't live up to the hype--or the price. It's seriously overpriced for the quality. I could easily name 10+ restaurants in the area that serve better food for the same or even lower prices. The steak tasted more baked than grilled, and while the Brussels sprouts and mashed potatoes were the highlights, they weren't enough to save the meal. To top it off, both my friend and I felt sick afterwards (literally and figuratively) from the food and after nearly spending almost $100 each, even with splitting the bill. Is it a Restaurant or is it a Pub? A British pub/restaurant in St. Louis? Yes, please. I'm home!! (okay, not really, but I'm half-British, so It's the closest I'll probably get to home-cooked food in a while) You walk into see a huge bar in front of you, and while it wasn't empty, it was a late Wednesday night, so I didn't expect a large crowd gathering. I'm going to disagree with one of the earlier reviewers who complained about the furniture and lights, none of that was a problem when I went in. Now I will say i was a little disappointed in the ambience. I was expecting/hoping to see soccer and cricket jerseys/flags/photos. (come on , it's Britain!).. The Bartendress said, nothing yet, but then she told me they actually had some decorations "on order", and are hoping to get their soccer/corner display up soon. (so here's to hoping But i do have to take 1 point off, since it's not up yet). Obviously being a pub, we needed a number of sports TV's. They were very large, but I'll be honest, with the size of the TV's they were a little too HIGH for me to get comfortable to watch any of the games. Ironically the TV's along the walls were perfect height for viewing from the bar, but ironically the ones above the bar kinda affected my views on the wall tvs (yes, see I'm reviewing everything from my location) Now being a British pub, rule #1: The Bartender has to KNOW how to make me a Snakebite with Guiness. Her first response when i asked if she knew it, "Are you testing me?". (I liked her already! :) ) Yes, Yes, i am. TEST PASSED! Absolutely perfect drink , right combination of Guiness and Black Currant Juice. Then there's rule #2; Whiskey. I need to see whiskey decorations in an English Pub (When i visited my mom's home in Stoke, the few pubs we had near us a similar setup). And what do i see when i look up above the glasses.. Bottles on bottles of Various whiskeys. (If i wasn't on a budget, i might have asked about price). Okay, now the food: I decided I had to go pure British, but I will admit, and it wasn't too hard to decide as the menu was only one sheet (which IMO, as it probably is in most English Pubs), but the restaurant side could probably use more choices? Unfortunately, they were a little pricier than I expected in the main course for British/Pub Cuisine. But the appetizers and sides were a little more reasonable., as seemed he price of the burgers. Ironically, the Split Potatoes I had , probably could have made a full meal in itself. But hey, I'm doing this for my other homeland, right? So Bangers and Mash it was (again, price point probably affected a little more than I was hoping - with individual meals anywhere from 25 to 50+ dollars (pub food for 50? Again are we going for Restaurant or Pub?) For whatever reason, the Bangers were good, the Onion and the Mash went well together (yes, they're supposed to be a little salty from teh Onion Sauce), but for some reason, I always remember English Peas being a bit sweeter than what I got served. Not that it was bad, just , not sure, it didn't feel like it completed the British meal exactly right. Again there were many things I wanted to try, but the price tag just scared me off. They do have special nights planned: Live music reportedly on Fridays, A reading club (serious? That's something I don't remember when I visited Stoke?), they had an upcoming Alice In Wonderland night coming up (I'd have loved to do, but my budget says not this time). Super Bowl day planned,, and what I _WILL_ Be going back for.. WORLD CUP days (Get the soccer jerseys strung up "Oh London!") So, with Oh London only being open a year or so at this location, I'm going to admit it's got some kinks to work out.. Such as deciding if they're going for the restaurant vibe or the pub vibe and price accordingly. If they can make that decision, Hopefully it'll fill in that missing niche in my "out for a night" experience. But as I got my snakebite, I'll give them a good 3 out of 5 stars, but do remember to make sure you have the money you need in the budget. 3 stars for the overall feel, specialty nights COULD possibly bring it up to a 4. We had a reservation so they knew they had more people coming. 75% of the food was empty, we had to ask if it was being restocked and we had to wait awhile for it to be restocked. The prime rib was never restocked, The food that was on the buffet was cold. The chicken was not fully cooked. The dessert options were store bought single bites except one option. We had a very large group and our servers were really moving to provide us with great service. We started at happy hour which had great deals on drinks and appetizers. Everything we had was super tasty. Spinach artichoke dip, potato skins and the chili Brussels sprouts. All great, our favorite were the Brussels sprouts. When our group all started to arrive we were moved to a large area in the dining room. Allot of folks ordered dinner and everything was very good. I had a burger and fries which was super tasty. I was recently attended an event here and was treated to a fantastic experience. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our server Tommy was professional and took good care of our table. The proprietor Erica is absolutely amazing. The head chef is doing his thing in the kitchen. The hospitality alone makes this place a must visit. The space is large with ample seating and bar space. I had the good fortune of trying several of their most popular dishes: fish and chips, butter chicken curry, bangers and mash, Chelsea brussel sprouts. Everything was delicious. My favorite was the fish and chips. The breading is very well seasoned and panko crisp. The fries are sprinkled with a little garlic and Parmesan cheese. I will be back soon for Sunday jazz brunch. When the server finally took our order we were excited to get our food. We asked for the salad before the entree's and she said fine. Didn't bring the salad. Didn't bring the drinks. She served dessert to two tables and we still got nothing. My mom is diabetic and was feeling weak so we asked again for the salad again. Still got nothing. Tried this new lounge/ restaurant in Creve Ceour.. it was a stellar experience right from being greeted warmly at the door to the sweet finish we had. The ambiance is very Pub like with a huge bar anchoring the space. There is lots of room to host big parties, office events and get togethers. Service was quick and efficient. The food is the best part- we got Calamari, wings and birds nest. The latter is complete perfection with slightly runny egg coated with meat.. Special mention- Brussels sprouts -so delicious. For main course we got a perfectly plated salmon, divine and flaky fish and chips and lamb chops. Can't miss dessert, right.. toffee pudding is just perfect and chocolate cake is heavenly.. I don't get toffee pudding in St Louis, so it was extra special. Drinks were on point too.. Just check it out- you will be coming back for more.. Oh London... I wanted to love this place as I did both of the previous restaurants at this location but I just can't. There was one other table in the whole place, and for some reason it took forever to get our drinks. My mother in law got the wrong meal (to be fair she wasn't super mad about it), my duck was overcooked (but in a magical orange sauce) and the kids French fries had beautiful herbs sprinkled on top, which is great for adults but not for all children. We went to the Willy Wonka experience and this was by far a huge letdown. My wife, my children, and myself attended the 5pm and were greeted with a less than "experience" level experience. Expectations were set much higher than delivery. When I think Willy Wonka I think chocolate, candies of all sorts, whimsical fun and fancy. Decorations were non-existent except some purple table runners draped over a few tables with theater type box candy randomly sprinkled on the table (clearly had been done way too early before the event as most of the what should be crunchy/hard candy was humidity ridden soft and chewy. If you like moist sweet tarts this is your place. A communal candy table with a half working chocolate fountain had more humidity ridden cotton candy that had no resemblance of cotton, trying to pick up a bit resulted in the entire glob coming with it or crumbling off. Marshmallows on the same table had also been sitting out too long or were just poor quality to begin with. Expected a bit more theme from the staff as well but the closest you get is the manger dressed similar to Wonka reading a short passage from the story right before each course. Now comes the food which I have to say was disappointing. Cold chocolate dipped bacon (was ok but not cooked well enough and was more fatty chewy than it should have been). Next came a salad that made an attempt but the flavor pairing with the beet was far from being in the right realm. Followed up by a salmon dish with rice pilaf that I'd say the salmon was the best part of the entire evening but it was overpowered by a gigantic gob of mustard aioli that took away from the dish and this wasn't only my dish that had the huge amount of aioli. Next on the agenda was the thinnest overcooked ribeye I've ever seen, supposedly served with a loaded baked potato (loaded here means a large amount of sour cream a tiny bit of butter and nothing else). The steak shouldn't have been deemed a ribeye but ore in the line of skirt steak. Following that was desert that was called a dark chocolate tart shell, with pistachio cream and toasted phyllo and edible gold on top. An attempt to do something in the realm of a Dubai chocolate type dessert that was a complete failure. It was more or less a baked chocolate crust with green crunchy cream topped with what I can only compare to an abundance of chocolate syrup acting as the top layer. The desert as with most things seemed to have been setting out for far too long getting warm. Not that it would have been a ton better served cool but it would have been an improvement. Drinks ordered by my wife and myself were Diet Coke, one daughter had lemonade and the other had the float offered on the themed menu. Keep this in mind when looking at the pictures later as nowhere did it say these libations were not included in the price nor did it offer a pricing for them on said menu. As well the advertisement on Facebook that we clicked through to reserve our spots said that it included unlimited soda, tea, coffee (surprise we got charged for those). Not to mention our cups sat empty on more than one occasion and we had to flag a server down and ask for refills. In short watch what you're getting charged for. To say the least our analysis of the themed events is a novel way to gain business but the execution of these events falls way short of what the marketing makes you think will be the end result. It appears that everything being served is normal fare at this restaurant which apparently isn't outstanding quality to begin with and has been slightly embellished to fit the theme of the evening. Adding additional flair to something poor quality doesn't make it better quality, it just masks the poor quality. Needless to say this experience should not be experienced!! This was my first time trying Oh London, and it will be my last time. This is a great venue, plenty of parking and seating inside. However, lacking in many areas. 1. The prices are too high for a pub type menu. Even Happy Hour prices are normal prices at any other pub. 2. One waitress was covering the entire bar area, including the bar!! The manager was walking around talking to people rather than rolling up her sleeves to help. Huge miss on her part. 3. We ordered chips and queso, wings and hard boiled eggs sandwich. The wings were good, chips and queso just ok and nothing special to a hard boiled egg sandwich. The food took a long time to get. My boyfriend was still hungry and order the mushroom appetizer. Took FOREVER! We got the bill and asked her to take it off because we were ready to go. She took it off the bill and our friends were still there and offered to bring them to our next stop. That was another miss....they were supposed to put in a to go box but brought it out on a plate. Then they just dumped them in a box. We tried them and they tasted like they were frozen with some cheese on top. Gross. We threw them away. I now understand why the place was not full on a Friday night. You MUST improve service or you will not survive. read more

I threw a surprise party there, and it went great. The employees let me decorate the tables, and also short them to my liking. The food was a solid 7.9 out of 10. My server was amazing! She did a great job with the group of people I had. Their burgers and steak are to die for. It was oh so yummy. And the pricing was not bad. read more

Absolutely the worst service I've ever experienced! We attended a reserved 50th wedding anniversary party with what was supposed to be a pre-set menu. Drinks were slow, only 1 bartender working both the party and restaurant. The pre-set menu was supposed to include an appetizer buffet, salad and choice of 2 entrees. No appetizers were offered, salads came out 2 hrs after party started. Over an hour later for some of the food to come out. My chicken fettuccine had one tiny bite of chicken. If I was in charge of this event the manager would be receiving a verbal reprimand and I would require him to apologize to my guests. Be forewarned-DO NOT BOOK A PRIVATE event here!! read more

Stopped in here for dinner during the week. Place was nearly empty. Had the grilled pork chops - I'm sure they would've been quite good but they were overcooked (well done). Server was frazzled and forgetful throughout the meal. Can't say I would return. read more

Food was delicious the servers were super attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. The drinks were also fantastic! Shout out to Sam, Aliyah, and Zander! Look forward to coming back. read more
