They were hard to bite, hard to chew, and hard to swallow. Condiments helped, but not enough. Maybe this is (part of) why orders were taking so long. - the tater tots were beyond crispy - there was no potato left in them. It was fun for the first couple of tots, but then it had a really artificial feel to it - like those french fries that you buy in the potato chip bags. We regretted stopping here, and very much doubt that we will ever be back.

There were only two cars ahead of us, yet it took over 20 minutes just to reach the payment window. At one point, a single car didn't move for more than 10 minutes. To be fair, the food did come out very fresh and hot, which we appreciated. However, the overall experience was frustrating because we were on a schedule and got completely trapped in the drive-thru line with no way to leave midway. This honestly felt like the standard operating pace for this particular Wendy's in Cle Elum. If you're not in a rush, the wait might not bother you as much. But if you have another stop or a tight schedule afterward, I'd strongly recommend planning extra time. Based on our experience, expect roughly 10+ minutes per car in line.

As noted by others, be patient, the food is cooked to order, all fresh ingredients, and worth the wait. The two less than desirable issues were the extremely cold dining room featuring cold metal chairs, and a fairly dismissive staff. But again, the burgers are incredible. Although there's a huge parking lot, it's riddled with large potholes. Go slow pulling in. Even with the little irritants, the burgers make this an incredible stop. I'll be back!

The burger has a smashed patty. Nothing to complain about. Buns were good, ingredients tasted fresh and not overly saucy or greasy. Patty has the nice crisp on the edge and not dry. Overall a good smash burger. The tallow fries were decent didn't taste any different than regular fries. I do like the orange fry sauce they have which you can try, and they also ketchup as well. The strawberry milkshake was good. Consistency is medium, not too solid or sunny, and has bits of strawberry inside. Whether it's traveling back and forth for family visits, or moving across and out of state, this particular one has been our go-to when we stop in Ellensburg. The place is always clean when we stop in, the food always tastes perfect, and we have never once to date encountered a single crew member who wasn't top tier awesome! From making sure our orders are right, to making sure we know what deals they have, they're on top of things.
