We've been here several times now, and every meal has been excellent. Earlier this week I had the adobada pork torta lunch special, which was very tasty. A few weeks ago my wife and I shared the fajitas for two with carne asada and chicken, and it was outstanding; perfectly seasoned, generous portions, with great sauces. The chipotle enchiladas are another delicious favorite, and the churros are honestly some of the best I've ever had. One thing that really sets Circo Circo apart is the red salsa. It's the best I've found in a long time with the perfect balance of flavor, heat, and texture. I almost always order an extra container to take home because it's that good. Beyond the food, the service keeps us coming back. The owner and staff are super welcoming, friendly, and genuinely appreciative of their customers. They have done a wonderful job with the restaurant, and it's become one of our favorite places for Mexican food. We love supporting a local family-run business and are excited for them to get their liquor license so we can enjoy a margarita with our meal. Circo Circo is absolutely worth a visit! read more

I have been here on several occasions. Including a large party and they put us in our own little private area with baseball on tv. I had the Carne Asada which was super tender and juicy. I am a huge fan of burritos and the one here doesn't disappoint one bit. Service staff was very attentive and food came out relatively quickly. I've been truly impressed with the new owners. I've been coming to circo circo since we moved to Kent in 2018 and am ecstatic to find that the new menu and food quality continues to be impeccable. We have tried the burritos, tamales and enchiladas so far. The steak, beef and chicken is great quality and cooked perfectly. The beans and rice are flavorful. The salsa has a great kick. If you are dining in, the staff is pleasant and attentive. If you are taking out, the service and packing is excellent. The interior updates look clean and modern. I can't rave more positively about the staff. Warm and always a delight to interact with. Circo circo continues to be one of my favorite eateries in Kent. Give them a shot. Where's the clowns? Years ago I used to live in federal Washington about 14 years ago and my favorite place to eat was a Mexican restaurant that had clowns everywhere now the clowns were all freaky and I didn't understand what was going on, but then I realized the name of the restaurant, clowns I get it But it wasn't those clowns that I wasn't interested in. It was the fact that this Mexican restaurant was so tasty. It brought me back to hometown Texas Mexican food. It brought me back to where I was from and I loved going there no matter day or night whatever this place was my place and I absolutely loved it so when I moved back to Federal Way I went straight there to get Mexican food, but the sign was gone and it looked like they were closed down Until I went to the grocery store the other day and I said oh my gosh, they're back open again if you want a good Mexican place to go to I would say go to this place. They no longer have the clowns but that Mexican food. I will always love in the family that owns it. They get five stars on their own. I love you love you love you and I'll be back lots of times. I went here today for the first time. I got flautas with shredded beef, which came with rice and beans and guacamole and sour cream. I feel like the food was not flavorful at all. The margarita was good though that's the reason for the two stars instead of just one. the service was not great. I clearly didn't eat my food except for one flauta. the waitress never asked me how it was. She brought me my ticket and never asked if I wanted another margarita which I did before she gave me my check, she asked if I wanted a to go plate and I said no. And it didn't seem to strike her that my rice and beans had barely been touched and I had only had one flauta when she sat my check down. I won't be going back and I don't recommend. read more

Unfortunately the food quality/taste has in my opinion reduced, flavor was flat, I ordered Nachos with ground beef, the taste and texture was just like eating beans instead of normal texture of ground beef! The quality and taste is not what we experienced in our many past visits to Cisco Cisco. We have eaten there many times over the past 30 years. My family and I tried this place on a whim, it had a four star Yelp review...but we were disappointed. Let's start with the good. free chips and salsa! My husband ordered carne asada meal...and he had diarrhea the next day. I ordered the Top baked Nachos and there was a layer of cheese caked on...it was too thick to enjoy:/ my son ordered the quesadilla and I think his ordered was the best. They are always serving up great service, strong drinks, and service with a smile. I love to support small business. Their Carne Asada is always tender and delicious 10 out of 10. Been there three times and each time I leave thinking, "Well, that was OK but not a lot more than that." Growing up in Arizona and living many years in California, I've had a lot of Mexican food and the chili relleno is my test. If it's good, chances are everything else will be, too. First time I was there, I had a relleno there that hadn't been cooked quite long enough as the pepper was still crisper than it should have been. The cheese was melted and the egg batter nicely browned but it was just a little ... off. On subsequent visits, I had the small order of meat nachos (with chicken). That was fine; tasty and hot (temperature-wise). Another time, it was an a la carte taco and tamale. Both decent, though I thought the tamale was a bit heavy on the masa. The salsa is apparently house-made so very fresh but lacking heat. A little Tabasco or Cholula sauce fixed that. One more thing: even though I've always gone at the height of the lunch hour, the place has NEVER been busy. I'll leave it to others to decide what that means, if anything. Just throwing it out there... Bottom line: it's OK but there are other Mexican restaurants around that are better. read more

Was given the recommendation to try this restaurant from my Des Moines community FB group, There were quite a few recommendations, so I tried them out one night when I needed to grab dinner out. I ordered on the way over and it was ready ahead of the promised timeframe. The restaurant wasn't too busy on a Wednesday night, it looked clean and well lit. I ordered Arroz con Pollo (no pics, I was too hungry). When I got home I was happy to find a small paper bag with chips and two kinds of salsa, red and green. The Arroz con Pollo was served on a large oval paper plate (lined with foil) and it was a huge portion. It had great flavor, lots of chicken and mushrooms, not too cheesy (which was great for me) and was served with 3 tortillas. I gave the leftovers to hubs for lunch and he had a generous portion. I love this place! It looks like a lil hole in the wall but it's sooo much more than that!! The food is amazing, every time. Whenever I'm in Fed I make it a point to stop by here. The salsa is super tasty, one of my favorites. I usually get a carne asada torta, tostada or tacos. Everything is delicious. Needs more alcohol and less mixer felt like pure mix if they improve their drinks I'd happily delicate a 5/5 stars. (((Also... a tad pricey. 21.45 for floutas and one Cadillac margarita))) All servers are very polite (3 different ones tended to my table during my visit). There are lots of Mexican Restaurants in Federal Way but we wanted to try something new so we drove a few minutes north to Kent, next to the Fred Meyer on Pacific Highway. the restaurant is not fancy but it is clean and inviting. A server arrived quickly with basket of hot crispy chips and two flasks of salsa, red and green and two small cups to put it in. We used them individually to avoid dripping the salsa on the table. Both flavors were good. We ordered 2 regular Margaritas which came in big heavy glasses like frosted beer glasses. My wife liked her's a lot but I felt mine was a little too sweet for my taste. My wife ordered the Burrito El Tigre Fajita with shrimp and scallops and it was huge. If we had any sense, we should have split this one. I ordered the Especial Burrito and it was stuffed with tender beef chunks and served with fresh avocado slices. The refried beans and rice were both tasty and service was good. This place is not a chain restaurant and we liked it a lot. We plan to return. read more

We went here when our fave Mexican restaurant was closed. We had been before a couple times and have always been underwhelmed. This visit was especially disappointing. The person in charge (owner?) was wearing his mask below his nose, which I assume is a health code violation at the moment. Our food was very slow to come out which is pretty atypical of Mexican restaurants and no one asked us what we wanted to drink and we had to ask for waters. My brother had a layover at Sea-Tac last night, and asked if I would swing by and get him so we could have dinner. As much as I would have liked to have cooked for him, there just wasn't time, so I figured there must be dozens of places to eat near the airport, right? I knew pickings were slim North on International Blvd, so we headed South. In my fantasy world, there are all kinds of great places spitting distance from the airport, that I just didn't know about because I hadn't bothered to look before. I've heard of people going to seminars and meetings down there, so there must surely be food, too, right? Well, there are plenty of fast food chains, a variety of scary looking teriyaki places, and convenience stores. So when I saw a independent looking Mexican place in a strip mall, I figured we weren't going to do much better. I admit my first impression walking inside was not a good one. Why? Because Circo Circo, as my complete lack of Spanish ill prepared me for, was full of clowns. Clowns on the menu, clown portraits on the walls, and everywhere you look, small paper mache clowns descending from the ceiling via parachutes and other precarious devices. Where were they escaping from? Or where they launching an attack? I could not say. But I was mesmerized. The food was actually pretty decent. My brother had a large platter of items covered in cheese and surrounded by a moat of beans and rice, that he offered to me as mangled leftovers (I declined). I had an odd but tasty called the Burrito al Pancho...which involved tender broiled skirt steak wrapped in a flour tortilla and dusted with parmesan cheese. This seemed like a good idea, but didn't quite come together somehow. I did take my leftovers home, and enjoyed them thoroughly. So if you fear clowns, avoid this place at all costs. But if you like Mexican food and need to stay near the airport, it is worth checking out. read more

Well, our first experience here will most likely be our last. We came with friends at their suggestion but, even though we were greeted and seated promptly, it was all downhill after that. The service was unbelievably bad and our waiter didn't even check on us at all after were were served our food. The restaurant was run down in my opinion and the upholstery was split too. We ordered steak fajitas and both kinds of soup, tortilla and albondigas, but both soups soups were bland and I was disappointed. The fajitas were a little different and I wasn't sure what the spices were but the green peppers in them were tasty. It was nice they were happy to remove the onions from the dish at my request. The prices were a little high for the overall quality and the steak was just OK. It was worth a try and not the worse I've had. There are plenty of decent Mexican restaurants in the area though so it's one and done for me. That's too bad because they have a great location being conveniently located next to Fred Meyer and Petco on Pacific highway. read more

Although everyone at the office seems to be convinced the Mexican restaurants surrounding Seatac are all the same, I maintain that Circo Circo transcends the usual crowd by virtue of their Pollo Con Arroz. I'm not a big fan of bell peppers which get all too happily added to most dishes everywhere so I'm happy to find a dish that is amazingly simple, unencumbered by much more than mushrooms, chicken breast, rice and a wonderful sauce that I need to try just a feeeewwww more times to figure out how they did it. They were also very good about timing a burrito that another co-worker wanted which we ordered as take-out for her. I took some of my meal back as leftovers which they packed between two paper plates lashed together with tin foil. Thought that was a little odd, but not necessarily a complaint since it accomplished what it was meant to do. I prefer the Mexican places that serve hot beans with the appetizer chips but here they serve two types of salsa in red and green. The interior is pretty non-descript and the staff are quickly going about their business. The lunch platters are your best bet if you don't want to break the bank on a single meal. I paid about $8 for my chicken. My co-worker paid over $12 for his Carne Asada which, while enjoyable and generously portioned, was still on the high side. Still, we'll definitely be back! read more
