I chose to stay at this hotel because I had great childhood memories of being here with my parents. Now that I have two children of my own, I wanted to make those type of memories with them. Initially, I had booked the cheapest room. Upon checking in, they have kiosks that you check yourself into and it hands you the keys. The kiosk offered a room upgrade for $30 more so I accepted. The place is very lively and super packed. The parking situation is a nightmare. The spots are so small and you're going around in circles forever hoping someone will leave. We parked in the structure almost at the very top and had to take the elevator back down. The elevator was absolutely repulsive. You can tell that it's never been cleaned since 1968 when they opened. It's supposed to be a smoke free hotel but reaks of cigarettes. Once we found our room, we were hit with a tremendously awful smell. I sprayed my boyfriend's cologne everywhere and even that didn't help. There's no fridge, no microwave, no coffee pot, nothing. The toiletries are a prison bar of soap and a conditioner that's drilled to the wall. The place is ghettoooo. Ladies so drunk their breasts are out and guys so sloppy drunk they're dropping their belongings. I will say that AdventureDome being just downstairs from your room is a really nice touch. There's also a Starbucks, Popeyes, and Pick Up Sticks. They are incredibly inflated though and customer service is terrible so I wouldn't suggest it. They also have a splash pad that looks super fun but it's sooo crowded I didn't even bother. I think the worst part of this stay were the hotel elevators during checkout. It's a huge mob of people all waiting for the same elevator and when it finally arrives, it's too crowded to even go into. There was people shoving each other or cutting each other. We legit waited thirty minutes until we decided to just take the one million flight of stairs. Overall I would not suggest it at all. I paid $273.05 for two nights and I guess you get what you pay for so I think next time I'll spend more money and go elsewhere.

Mr. Ruffin has now decided to bring back vintage Vegas Prices with $2 hot dogs, shrimp cocktails, Heiniken, popcorn and $5 table games! Customers who are value sensitive will love it here. That old tune, "the song that remains the same!" You can come here when you're a child and it's the same dance . Same song ! We are reliving the moment where we all met. When I was a little kid again. The demise of the Circus is coming! Remember when come and spend an extra hour of your day to make this not happen as fast . Vegas is changing and with the birth of new hotels this one is going to come to an end. We went old school Vegas. We played at the last slot machine in Vegas that takes coins . Wow and actually won! Celebrate the past to leave it here and move into the future. The midway upstairs is still fun ! The games are in great condition. You can still loose your self for a time and land on your feet being a kid again. Come and see old Vegas that warm feeling before it's gine

Circus Circus feels really old and outdated, and honestly, it comes across as pretty gross in some areas. The room was run down and dated. We didn't stay. The whole place just lacks the clean, fresh vibe you'd expect from a Vegas hotel. It tries to be fun with its carnival theme, but it ends up feeling cheap and a bit run-down instead. Definitely not the best choice if you're looking for a comfortable or modern stay.

This was our last resort because we got side tracked to vegas for a few days after our flight was cancencelled until two days later. This was the only hotel available. It's unfortunate because we do not like this hotel and still do not after this stay. For starters, this place is dirty and filthy as seen in some of my pictures. In our original room, it smelled like weed and cigarettes. We asked to move and were presented with a better smelling room. The staff were overall friendly. Most of the hotel smells. It is also located off the strip so it's a pretty long walk to get to the attractions and main hotels. There are also no circus shows playing when we stayed here!! The evelvator was reliable and the water pressure in the bathrooms was nice. Besides that, I don't have many good things to say about this place. Every door we touched, shocked us and it made me feel dirty staying here. I wouldn't recommend unless absolutely required. For kids however, I can see how this would be fun. There is a whole kid area with roller coasters and arcade games. If I was a child, I would enjoy this for a few hours. The outdoor pool would be fun too

One price came out higher, room no fridge with 25 daily cost, no assistance at Sky towers, repeatedly front desk never contacted housekeeping( they were the best in this hotel) my son are disabled and said no could assist us until Thursday morning with luggage because they are there at 3pm and was given a different room with two bed instead of king size for two.

Circus Circus is one of those classic Vegas spots. I've been coming here since I was a kid, and now we bring our son, so there's definitely nostalgia attached. We always head up to the Midway, play the carnival games, and catch the free shows. The games are affordable at around $2-$2.50 each, which is rare these days, and the weekend shows, trapeze, juggling, and other acts, are fun to watch and don't cost a thing. That said, it's more about the experience than the wow factor. If you're looking for a simple, family-friendly place to let the kids have fun without spending a ton, Circus Circus delivers. Just don't expect anything beyond the basics.

I would truly like to understand what they do well here. Arrived an hour earlier than check in and was told it would cost us $30+ if we chose to check in early. We declined. Room had zero frills. Our window had a view of a wall. No fridge, microwave nor coffee maker. I didn't expect much but hoped for better. Only two sets of towels with no hand towels. The shampoo container was sitting on the tub. The crusty double backed tape was still stuck on the shower surround. A simple repair, yet they made a decision not to. Only three hangers in the room. Called next day to get towels. Instead of getting housekeeping, it was forwarded to front desk where I waited a half hour before hanging up. Went to front desk and told them our needs. Handed the phone and she connected me right away to housekeeping. They then delivered towels within the hour. My wife was able to get ahold of housekeeping via phone, as we were getting short of TP. No delivery... again went to front desk and delivery made hours later. Not all was terrible. Water pressure and hot water is great. Because of the convention the rates for this subpar property were over $160 a night. These rooms typically go for $30 a night, though I wouldn't stay here unless I absolutely had to even at $30 a night....

Even with low expectations, the hotel failed to meet them. The place is so run down, old, and smells. It was a ghost town. The room itself had questionable stains on the furniture, no hangers in the closet, broken wood inside the closet, no fan in the bathroom, and just general sense of a forgotten hotel stuck in the past. The server at the Big Chill 2 frozen margarita bar was nice though. They say you get what you pay for, but even at the price which includes a $50 per day resort fee, it's not worth it.

We didn't stay here, was in the area so just stopped by to check it out. They do provide free parking, we just went in through the hotel registration/parking entrance since it wasn't very clear where else we could park. The place feels old and not kept up to date, it doesn't feel dirty, but nor was it clean. It's a little bit of a maze to find our way to the Midway, and on the top level there were many arcade games and in the center was the stage for the free circus act. Happens every half hour or so on certain days and maybe lasts 8 minutes. I believe the rest of the time is for you to take your kids to spend at the arcade games. The act itself was fun, obviously can't really stand up to the bigger productions in Vegas, but it's free.

Checking into our room was a pain. The front desk forced us to use the kiosk even though our confirmation kept getting rejected, then was told to wait for the front desk to check us in. The room was dirty with hairs on the floors, sheets, and pillows. The floors had stains. You get what you pay for. read more

The manor rooms are horrifying and even though clean, the carpets, curtains and walls are stained. The room smells of something terrible, possibly some sort of a carpet cleaner. The Circus Circus manor rooms marks the second worst hotel room that I've been to in my entire life. And I have traveled in different countries like Turkey, India, and different places in the US and have been to different types of hotels. The parking lot outside the manors are also trashed with cigarettes, food trash, etc. Not being able to deal with room stench above all else, we decided to upgrade to their "best rooms" in the main tower. Again, the sheets and the bathroom are clean, but that's about it. The room hasn't been vacuumed in weeks if not months and the table tops and desks have all sorts of stains. Oh and the free wi-FI is pretty slow and you get discounted if you go down for breakfast within the hotel! read more

My daughter & I took a girls trip to Las Vegas. I decided to stay at Circus, Circus for 3 nights. The room was very clean & affordable. All the staff from registration to housekeeping was friendly. I would recommend this hotel to anyone, The only negative was the room had no microwave. read more

This place is much nicer than the reviews I've read. They could do a few upgrades like fix their clown sign and do a reboot of their buffet (not recommended as is) but everything else was decent. The staff is professional. There are lots of places to eat. The adventuredome looks like fun. They are upgrading their elevators. The pools were clean and well staffed. The room was clean and beds were comfortable. Lots of parking. Easy to get to. It's not glam just decent. Lots of slots. Resort world is walking distance. read more

It's dirty lol don't expect a 5 star clean place. Parking is free outside or in garage. The carpet and floor inside look like it's never been changed since it opened back in the 1990s. It is a fun spot for kids, if u don't mind the mild smell of smoke. They have that huge adventuredome indoor amusement park that has rides but for maybe ages at least 6 years old and for kids who love roller coasters. But the real deal is the upstairs game area place where u can win stuff toys and it has a huge arcade game area and a plus is free circus performers. Overall it's a definite visit if u have kids in Vegas just don't expect it to be super clean. read more

Let' see what went wrong. Basically everything. Got there, enter the lobby, somehow dated, definitely dirty (is like 8,30 in the evening). Checkin straight to the kiosks, since no human cares. Enter my info, have a question, there is a lady (hotel employee playing busy with a computer terminal) tried to nicely ask for help and she replied very nasty. Eventually i have to cancel my kiosk checkin because i know that i reserved a king size bed and they are asking me for more money now for that. Eventually i got in front of a manager which flat asks me for my reservation and there shows me "house rule" check box and explains me that means that they can "freak" you however they want. Remember I reserved a king, but now if i want a king i must pay extra. However went back to the kiosk start all over , get a 2 queen room. Get in the parking of the skyrise. Try to locate a luggage cart (or a employee at least to ask for one). 5 minutes later get one (no hablar inglese) which tellls me in spanish that if i want a cart i must go to main lobby to get one. Give up, too much hassle, get hiwever my stuff from the car and went upstairs (after a quite long waiting for a elevator). Get in the 7th floor, musty, skank smell, 3 driers blowing at full speed (with associated noise of course). Few rooms (including mine) are with the doors propped open. Enter the room, there is another huge drier screaming from the floor. The carpet by the entrance is just conveniently wet. Ok, now the room (beside the musty smell), linens which seen better times, is ok (kinda travelodge/motel 6 features/ quality). Bathroom, through its natural convection (no fans) allows all guests to share the smells between bathrooms, and since a lot of travelers now days will smoke weed in their bathroom, that is s great way to share that smell with you (like it or not). Sink drain is 95% clogged (takes 10 minutes to drain the water from one tooth brush) so i better renounce to shave (for the 2 days while there that was the better choice). Didn't bother to call for maintenance since is impossible for any hotel employee which passed through that bathroom to miss that, which means that they know and either don't care or cannot fix it. Just as a remark that is a pretty old bathroom, in a dire need of a remodel/repair. Honestly, I couldn't get off that property fast enough. That in my opinions was a epic circus experience. read more

It's much different then when I was 9 years in the 80s. My room had comestic issue which was ok until....i found a horrible issue. It's needs renovation or severe repairs. I am asthmatic and I have crazy black mold in the bathroom room 32832. I didn't understand why I couldn't breathe and was on the nebulizer so many times in the room. The hotel room lacked all of the regular equipment and household appliances, including blow dryer, coffee pot, and ironing board. The soundproofing was also horrible, the walls were so thin that I could hear everything, including complete conversations from the rooms next to us! The air conditioning was also incredibly loud like the sound of a bomber plane! My parents and I were woken up several times during our sleep! We are never staying here again! read more

Booked this place knowing it wasn't going to be the best, but it was worse than we could've imagined. First of all, everything is outdated, dirty, and dusty. We were placed in the towers across the street and YIKES. Not a safe feeling whatsoever. Little to no lighting in the rooms. We checked in and immediately checked out. Front desk staff were dismissive of concerns, ignoring a line of customers with questions or concerns stating it was a "kiosk only" process. Overall, just a mess. Worth spending slightly more to stay in a cleaner, safer place. This place needs to be knocked down and rebuilt from the ground up. read more

We used to come here when my kids were young, they like the amusement park. We cold turn them loose in there and hit the slots. The upstairs with the carnival games is a fun place too. Be prepared to drop a bunch of $$ up there, but that is what you do in vegas, right? The rooms were renovated maybe 10 years ago I think. They did a decent job. The casino feels tired. Little kiosks of trinkets. Older machines. Very little in the way of tables. Lots of people dragging their children through the casino in the middle of the night. The pool is ok. This is nothing like the big casinos. This is good for what it is but not for an adults only group. If you want to bring kids to Las Vegas this is the place for you. read more

Our stay was for the SNW Concert. We arrive Friday morning around 9ish and ask for an early check in at around 10AM. It cost $34 for early check in. They directed us across the street to building A (so not the main building). Housekeeping was non-existent. Did not receive new towels for our two night stay. Some outlets in the room did not work. Looks like it hasn't been updated in forever. Stains on walls and caulk in the restroom were moldy. I guess this will do if you just needed a place to sleep and didn't care about anything else. It's equivalent to a motel if not worst. Pictures show themselves. read more

I am updating my review because well I went here to go and gamble. Yes the place looks the same as it did back when I wrote the review 10 years ago. However, why the 4 stars because they you come out a big winner the review goes up even more as I ended up coming out $430 dollars richer. I only played for an 2 hours here and only on a few of the machines, Jin Long 88 as I got 5 spins on both of the machines, the Flinstones, Bamboo Panda, Plinko and coin slots. You can play the quarter slots if you want to and the dollar coin slots if you want to see what was like gambling in the 90's. Here is the bad about this place: Well the rewards center was closed and it was still early when I went here to gamble like at 7pm. Only half of the slots are opened. Slots of Fun is closed for some reason, but the machines are all on, but security guard is there. Adventure dome is closed for 4 days, so check the calendar. $40 dollars is a lot for unlimited rides compared to what we paid 20 years ago for $26 dollars, now thinking about it, not too bad considering inflation and the time spent in the amusement park is cheaper than gambling. The place looks run down and needs a really good renovation. There are family shops, but when I went walking around the adventure dome it was dead and for some reason the massage parlor was opened. I was playing Pokemon Go and this random lady came up to me and asked me if I wanted one. The good on this place: When you come out a winner everything changes. I wished I played here more. Unfortunately, the rewards was closed so I am superstitious of without gambling without a card, otherwise they might have had a chance to get my money back. They have a great selection of games believe it or not that other casinos do not have. I went to a lot of casinos to check out he machines 1. Flintstones Return to Bedrock, my favorite machine 10 years ago, I won 60 dollars the first night off a 60 cent bet but I gave it back though the next day trying to chase the bonus 2. Willy Wonka Pure Imagination 3. Monopoly, I never played that version 4. Coin slots - where you put quarters and dollar coins into the machine. The dollars are 97.3% payback rate which is nice. They have the newer machines like Wheel of Fortune, Jin Long 88, I ended up winning big on the machine in just 30 minutes of playing and 5 bonuses which was something unheard of. Plinko, I ended up getting 2 bonuses there. Buffalo Gold, Buffalo Revolution. It is a great mixture of games. You will not find the Spinning Fortunes or Wonder Wheel or even Lightning Link however. I wished I gambled here more though and played some of the old machines. read more

Went to Roulette tables were two dealers were a little tired and snippy. Servers dropping drinks were on it and polite. Floor was clean no trash anywhere, as for parking it was sold out do to a concert going on which actually sucks for those people staying at circus circus because they won't be able to park there would have to pelican across the way and walk. Kids thought arcade was decent, they wanted to see the show that was going on however it was super packed with people, suggest finding the times the shows go on and set around to get a good spot to Watch before hand. Places inside circus circus to eat like the pizzeria suggest eating somewhere else otherwise you get greasy fries that are swimming in oil /butter and very floury crust for the pizza. read more

This review is for the Entertainment area ONLY. If you have kids, the Circus Circus is a must see to play the midway games, and amusements. It's free of charge , and what kid doesn't like winning a stuffed animal! I also HIGHLY RECOMMEND "The Steakhouse," which is one of the best Steakhouses in Las Vegas. Parking in the open lot is free. read more

Visited circus circus alot going back to when I was a baby everytime I came to Vegas as a visitor this would always be the place that I would want to go to first before I seen any other place in Vegas. Came here again like two or three years ago and while they did make some changes when it came to some of the rooms and certain restaurants. It seems like the carpet is still the same outdated carpet from the 70s that they are using. With that said outside of that it's still a fun place you can take your family to and have a fun time with but as far as getting a room here or staying here that's a pass. read more

I was driving through Vegas and was looking at hotel prices and they were advertised at being $18 a night. So rather than sleep in my car I decided to book a night to sleep in a bed. I didn't realize that a $45 resort tax would be on top of that. I arrived at 11pm and the check in line was massive. It took 45 mins for me to check in. My room was in the skyline tower which was very confusing to get to and a long walk. The elevators didn't seem to be functioning correctly and when I was leaving there was a line going down the hallway. I stayed in line for 20 mins and got fed up and ended up walking down 15 flights of stairs, which were covered in trash and it looked like someone was squatting in them. The exit of the stairs led me to the pool area which was also filthy, there was a bunch of trash in the pool. I know Circus Circus isn't a high brow establishment, but I wasn't expecting it to be that seedy. I would have been better off going to a motel 6 somewhere else. It would have been cheaper and nicer. read more

Circus Circus = dumpster fire ! Do not book here ! Unless you want your vehicle broken into and to be treated like trash trying to report it .. when arriving there is no personal interaction you're greeted by long line and kiosks to check in ! Only to have to wake around and STILL need assistance because the machine wasn't working ! .. All outdoor amenities close at 7pm ! And inside food and treat bars close at 5pm ! Dirty out dated rooms , questionable stains , no lighting and terrible customer service Ridiculous and disappointing. As a family of 5 with 3 being children it was a complete joke and waste checked in at 6/27/24 @ 2:30 pm checked out 6/27/24 at 11pm read more

The word is disgusting. Dirty walls, dirty beds, dirty floors. Refuse to give customers extra blankets or pillows. Want to charge $35 a day for a crib and $50 a day for s refrigerator. Booked a room for my husband and two kids, here at circus circus because I believed is the best "kid friendly" the pool are was closed they only had the 5ft one open everyone asked about the big pool. they just said it's close staff is rude.. came to eat at pick up stix inside the casino girl Nayla super rude as well if your not happy with your job just get another one no need for attitude. Parking was free and great. Check in was great at 430 Pm. Crowded around 11 pm. Room was fine Casino gets old and food is barely mid. A couple of casinos close. If you want to get away on a budget this place works otherwise Downtown Vegas is way more fun if you want to drop the extra cash. read more

This is hands-down the absolute worst hotel I have ever stayed at. Let's start with the endless line that awaited us at our arrival, and clueless front-desk employees, hence the incomprehensibly long line and never before experienced wait time to check in. However, this doesn't compare remotely to the horribly uncomfortable beds. Literally, unless you're into guaranteed back pain and a full body mattress spring "massage", this hotel is not for you. And then, to really seal the stamp of horror on this booking, mid-way into our stay, in the dead of night, perhaps around 2-3a.m, the ear piercing (fire?) alarm began to blare, with seizure inducing flashing lights and all. And the most unbelievable part, there was absolutely no communication with the hotel guests to explain if either everything was fine, or we were facing an imminent life-ending charring session. And guess what? When we attempted to seek an explanation about what was going on, the front desk continuously REFUSED to answer any of our calls. Don't stay here unless you're seeking the vacation from hell. read more

Hotel was old, rusted, dirty, trash outside and seemed like a run down Motel. The advertisement of the hotel was the main location. I learned once I checked in that my room was across the street in a different part where there was a lot of traffic. My room had no microwave, no refrigerator, rusted tub, no front desk. Parking lot was full of trash, oil stains, front doors were filthy. It was a neglected building. I don't recommend staying here at all. My first time in Vegas where I was dissatisfied and uncomfortable. read more

We were here for the Con Ag conference that was held at the Las Vegas convention center Walking distance is across the street easy to get to Room quality is a 1.5 stars Room was 2 queens The room was clean (out dated colors) Bathroom extremely small Bedsheets on one bed were ripped Tub did not drain Air conditioning was on the fritz Beds are okay Keep in mind if you only need a place to keep your stuff and have a safe place to sleep this is a place to stay. There is nothing fancy about this hotel. Our room did not have a mini fridge (you can request a room with one for an extra $25.00 a night) No mini coffee machines in room (typical for Vegas hotels) this is not uncommon Resort fee was $32.00 normal rate is $37.00 a night (middle range fee for Vegas) to find the most current resort fees go to Vegas.com Resort fees are subject to change at anytime Housekeeping staff were super nice Food options in hotel are limited in times of being open. Worst stay in a hotel ever service is terrible not to mention filthy disgusting blood on the wall and ceiling, and in the bathroom stained tile I have attached photos we asked for another room they told us they did not have one and told us they would be up to take the blood stained blanket and switch it with another one. No one ever showed up on top of that, after we left, I was charged with a bunch of hidden fees that they did not explain when I booked the room, resort, fees or something like that but an extra couple hundred luckily I had the photos of the room and the horrid memory of our stay never again and I do not recommend I'd rather stay anywhere else, but there next time I'd rather stay in my car with my family read more

You do not get what you pay for. We wanted a clean room. Didn't care where, the "manor" we booked all the bathrooms have mold. So our upgraded room to 15808, no coffee pots, no fridge. No problem. We could go without the fridge but I requested a coffee pot at night. Was told by Naomi "that was a daytime request, she didn't know where they were." I asked her to leave a not for the AM shift, she said, "no, you need to call back". When I called back in the morning Sarah told me we were "not on a high enough floor for a coffee pot, you could pay to upgrade". Okay....I then spoke to the operator Penny who put me through to a manager. 15 minutes later I told the woman the issue and she said, "let me get a manager for you". ?huh...you are the manager right? I was put on hold again then,Karen comes on, tells me that Sarah is right- i can pay to upgrade my room to a higher floor so I can get a coffee pot. I said, all I need is a coffee pot. Not a new room. Let me just rent it then if money is the issue. Puts me on hold for another Manager. Liz comes on 17 minutes later. Asked what she could do to help...... Nothing Liz, holding for more than an hour to not get a coffee pot, to get another person to explain that all I want is a coffee pot...so odd. We stay here a lot due to our kid, get it together. We haven't had this many issues ever. Always issues, but this is the FIRST TIME, of 8 stays we had been ignored by managers- Karen, Liz, and lied to by employees Naomi. read more

Room bathroom had mold.room carpet stained and looked dirty. Stains on both wooden headboards 2 times hotel employee entered the room without knocking using a key card. 2 different employees. The smell inside the entire hotel( not the room thank God) the smell was disgusting like a cheap plug in. This place has definitely seen better days, especially " The Manor " rooms. They are rundown and dingy. The casino is practically dead. Didn't see a single cocktail waitress offering drinks. Amusement park isn't all that they make it to seem. Drove from San Diego for this??!?!?! Also, they advertise inside each room this pizza deal from the pizzeria but they won't let you order over the phone nor can you have it sent to your room. After you walk to locate this place they advertise in your room, they forget to give you cutlery in your order, so then you have to walk allllllllllllll the way back to the pizzeria to get cutlery because they won't send cutlery to your room. Just to end up having styrofoam plates that broke upon trying to enjoy a salad. So after doing all that.. my salad is on the dirty ass carpet full of dog hair. Came with all the benefits of the FHR program, including a daily $60 breakfast credit (that could be used at a choice of 7 different shops/restaurants) and a $100 food credit to be used at a HUGE list of MGM restaurants (it's nice because it doesn't even need to be within the Cosmo ). We checked in around 12noon but our room wasn't available until around 3:30pm. Pros: - overall, a very convenient and central location on the strip for everything we wanted to do - used our $100 credit at Best Friend at Park MGM, was a super easy process to just give them our room number at the Cosmo ( you do have to show your ID to do this and it has to be the name on the hotel reservation) - room has a great view of the strip during the day and night - you can watch the bellagio fountain show at night and it's a beautiful aerial view - comfortable clean room, with good bed, firm pillows, good shower pressure. - used our breakfast credit at District Donuts in the food court downstairs, was a nice touch to not have to pay for breakfast - the Cosmo itself is very fun with lots of lounges and restaurants within it - perfect if you don't want to walk outside in the hot summer sun. We had a great time at Ski Lodge for cocktails - overall all the staff we interacted with were super nice and professional - kind of an upscale very young people vibe inside, with the iconic chandeliers etc - I did like that they have kiosks where you can activate your room keys without standing in line again , once your room is ready (app gives you a QR code ) - easy taxi drop off location , convenient - lots of clean nice bathrooms throughout the hotel so you never have to worry about emergencies - the art everywhere is fun and risqué Cons: - whole hotel definitely smells like smoke - which is kind of to be expected on the strip. However I didn't realize how bad it was until we walked through Park MGM and my asthmatic lungs could breathe better lol - the check in process was disappointing. I understand that a room might not be ready at noon - but they said a text would come when the room was ready. We got the preliminary text telling us a text would come soon to confirm our room, but it never came. We happened to luckily check the MGM app randomly while eating elsewhere and saw the room was ready. I feel like people who weren't as on top of checking the app may have spent the whole day thinking the room wasn't ready, boo. - the checkout process was also crappy - we had late checkout at 4pm, and shortly before that we tried checking out at the kiosks in the lobby - but they didn't work for us or the party next to us also trying to check out and get their folio. Overall it seemed like the system wasn't really up to speed? Also saw other people at the kiosk struggling with checking in as well. - the elevators were VERY hot and stuffy. No AC or fans running. I found myself complaining about this repeatedly like the princess that I am - around 11am checkout time be prepared - there was a ride where it stopped on almost every floor on the way down, and every stranger in the elevator stuffed full of bodies complained about the same thing. AC and air circulation changes the whole elevator experience. - our bathroom toilet room smelled like sewage the entire stay and I'm not sure why. It's also unfortunate because the toilet room door is one that doesn't go to the ceiling or to the floor, so it can feel weird if you're sharing your room with other people. - on the morning of our last day we were running out of toilet paper (having chosen the environmental choice of skipping housekeeping the days before) and called housekeeping to bring a roll. They said it would "be right up", and it never came. - funny complaint that is not that big of a deal but since I'm out here giving feedback I might as well - the toilet room doesn't have any place to place your phone (you know How some toilet paper dispensers have a little tray on top to place your phone? This one doesn't have it ) - I know we shouldn't be taking our phones to the bathroom anyway - but in this scenario I was using it as a flashlight to not wake up my husband LOL so I did the gross thing and put my phone on the back of the toilet Overall - it did the job, and the location was prime for this particular trip and what we wanted to do. Also the Amex platinum credit was very helpful in making this stay feel worth it - I think I would've felt like the experience was subpar had I paid full price. The random weird things about the room like the smell and the elevators really bugged me for some reason. I would be open to staying here again for the right price and event. It definitely did not blow me away.

A fun ride around the camels in the Venetian Resort in Las Vegas. There was supposed to be an photographer taking our picture so we can buy at the end, but his camera malfunctioned so we didn't get the shot. This was a huge disappointment as I'm all about pictures and I really wanted the opportunity to see the glamorous shot the professional photographer took and if it captured the. Moment like i had I would have bought it. Fortunately we weren't totally relaying on him. We brought our own camera and took the perfect shot with the gondolier in the background and the bridge when you come out. It was perfect. You didn't have all the busyness of Vegas in the background. I'm overly thrilled with my photo, I got exactly what I paid for a fun ride and the perfect shot to frame and remember this day. And yes, I really did frame it and it sits on my piano. As long as you know what you're paying for, it's totally worth it. And now that you've seen my shot and know that it's taken at the end of the ride when you come out from under the bridge, you can get the same shot too. Have fun and enjoy Vegas and the Venetian. The self parking has a lot of spaces but ingress/egress is easier at The Palazzo. However the valet parking here is faster compared to other resorts. The rideshare pickup/dropoff is good too. The casino floor is bright, clean, and good gaming variety. For the slots, I like that they have both old and new machines. I like the older "top dollar" and "run for your money" machines. I also like some of the new machines like KONG . They also have a great variety of video poker, blackjack, roulette, and craps! I have yet to play at the tables here but they have a good variety. The beverage service is good, but coverage/timing could be improved. I feel like some parts of the casino floor do not get as much service. They also have a great variety of food and restaurant options for all budgets. My personal favorite here is Estiatorio Milos. A close second would be SushiSamba. There's a separate check-in area for The Reserve which I really liked. It was not crowded at all. Upon checkin, they gave me a coconut macaroon which was amazing! I did like that special touch. There are separate elevators going to the Reserve Rooms. However, it is still shared with some of the upper floors from Park MGM. I know that other hotels on the strip have separate elevators exclusively for separate parts of the hotel. I really enjoyed my Atelier room. It was a little bit larger than the standard room. The distinguishing factor about this room is really the bathtub in the room. However, the bathtub itself seems to be a liability for the hotel. I have to say that someone can easily slip and fall in the bathtub. Use extreme caution when using the bathtub. I loved the European french decor. The toilet was a little far away from the bed, but I suppose that is good if you are traveling with somone so when they went to the restroom, it would be less noticable (more privacy, less noise). Since they are hardwood floors, I can hear chairs being moved around from the rooms above me during my stay. I was a little bit irked. Other than that, my stay was quite enjoyable at The Reserve.

The lobby where we checked in was super dark and moody. There was a lot of seating and nice decor. It was chilly in there which felt like a nice escape from the Vegas heat. It was relatively quick for us to get checked in and receive our keys. This dark and dramatic theme is carried throughout the hotel and to the guest room areas too. We were put in Rm 30-24, which we converted into an adjoining room with Suite 30-22. Our room felt small to me. The bed takes up the majority of the room with little walking space. There is a desk, flat screen TV, sofa, and small wardrobe. The closet is pretty spacious and has some robes, slippers, and a steamer. The sofa was very stiff and honestly looked a bit dingy. There were crumbs on the seat and the pillows were incredibly old and limp. I was hesitant to sit on it! The closet felt disproportionately large for the room. I would have preferred a smaller closet to have more space in the room itself. The rooms and hallways are all so dark. There is no overhead lighting, only tiny lamps throughout the room. I am personally not a fan of this as it made the room feel even smaller and claustrophobic. I understand they are trying to make it feel ambient and moody, but the way it was presented felt more like sleeping in a cave. Inside the closet was the brightest area of the hotel! If you choose to have a conjoined room, it is impractical to keep the doors open. When the adjoining doors are open, it is impossible to use the doors facing the hallway. Everything was cramped and the doors were constantly banging against each other. The bathroom was nice with a spacious shower. The water pressure was slightly better than average, but not super strong. They provided the usual amenities: shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, shower gel, cotton swabs + cotton pads, makeup remover wipes, and a shower cap. I must say, the shampoo and conditioner were spectacular. My hair felt super soft and had no frizz when it dried. It smelled very nice too. The rest of the hotel was just okay. There is not much to do besides lay at the pool and gamble. It is pretty quiet and laid-back. That being said, the casino was pretty small. I did like that it was non-smoking though so it was not suffocating to walk through it. I enjoyed the pool area. Despite it being a hot summer day, there was plenty of seating and lounge chairs available. The music the DJ was playing was really good and the pool was super chilly. This is definitely not my first choice for a Vegas hotel but I could stay here again.

However, for those of us who come to Vegas often, staying at those hotels often means higher prices and headaches with navigating around the busy traffic. Having stayed at most of the larger hotels (The Luxor, The Bellagio, Encore at Wynn, Park MGM etc) I've had my fill of the dazzling lights and boisterous crowds. I do recommend you try these hotels at least a few times to truly soak in the bustle of Las Vegas night life. For me, I prefer to stay adjacent to, but not within, The Strip. This way, I can have some comfort in a quieter setting and can call an uber at any moment to meet friends along The Strip. This was the reason I chose Nirvana Hotel. Situated right next to The Luxor and The Mandalay Bay, it is both affordable and close to the attractions I come to Vegas for. The exterior is a bit off-putting at first. You aren't greeted with the pristine fountained welcome that you expect from Vegas--the wonderful precession of marble floors, the lush green plants, the ornate chandeliers. The main check-in station is inside the souvenir shop which resembles that of a run down gas station. Service is quick and the check-in process is painless. Their doors all use numbers so you don't have to worry about misplacing your card. Just don't get so drunk you forget! The room itself is very humble: queen bed, LG tv, two night stands, a small fridge, and a walk-in shower. Clean, organized, and arranged professionally. I will definitely stay here again. Connie was at the reception and welcomed me warmly. Parking is free. That's right. FREE. For your entire duration of stay.

Their pool is small and only gets sun from about 10am until 3pm because of their new tower. On Fridays Tons of amazing food options are offered here. Everything from fine dining to fast food; the Chart House (seafood), Red (sushi), Cadillac (mexican), The Grille (24-hour diner food), and a Chick-fil-A that opened until 2am Mon - Fri. Definitely book a table at Vic & Anthony's, arguably one of Vegas' best steakhouses. The little arcade areas and the roller coasters. Not a lot of hotels have things for minors which helps when you have family that's underage. Mainly we've been popping in for the sports bar for all the sports that's been happening lately. It's a decent hotel and casino. Pretty affordable and you feel like you're getting your moneys worth. I don't know if rooms are updated as it's been years since I was last here. But they do have some nice restaurants along the cobble streets. More of a take out and find a place to sit restaurant, but pretty cool.

From fitness classes and pools to kids' programs, you get so much for what you pay. I stayed there 2 nights Friday and Saturday night March 2nd and 3rd 2012. We chose the circus circus because this was the only place that was kid friendly as we were meeting a family member there that wanted to visit with the kids too. (otherwise we would not have brought our kids to Vegas period) Friday night we were approached by the same black man trying to sell us weed right in front of our kids next to the elevator in the skyrise tower twice in one night. Then Saturday i had gone downstairs to smoke as I always get a non smoking room. (i know I'm a smoker but cant sleep in a smoke filled room weird I know) Anyway, I sat down at a slot machine next to the elevators and was going to play a few minutes why I smoked. Next thing I know I am being grabbed from behind, my arm was pulled out of socket by some crazy old lady that was yelling... I was sitting there thats my machine... I get her off of me finally and she came back punching me. WTF??? I was simply minding my own business... Thank Goodness there were a few witnesses... cause that old lady told the police I hit her... and I never touched her even after she started punching me because of her age. Then come to find out... the circus circus's policy is that in any incident, that they kick both parties out, regardless of who started it??? Even if your the one being attacked for no reason... even if they have it and see it all on video (which they did capture it all on video in my case) unless the Las Vegas Police sign some form stating your the victim (which luckily for me that is what happened) Still though that is craziness that someone can get attacked in their hotel and there is NO justice. You can be kicked out too??? What kinda crap is that??? That wasted about 3 hours of our carefully planned day.... They did kick that old lady out along with her entire family. They escorted them completely off the property... and on Sunday low and behold they had security posted in there where they should have been all along!!! Especially on a Weekend and Especially being it was the beginning of college spring break?? I agree with the other reviews that the food had no flavor the blue Iguana mexican place had no flavor whatsoever.... The food looked nothing like the pictures... (we had the ultimate grande burrito) it was a dollar more for rice, for beans and for sour cream... 3 extra dollars and then it was 3 bucks for each drink as well... They only sold one size! We didn't even bother after that to try their buffet as we had read these reviews before we left.. The room in the Skyrise tower was alright but everyone was right about the outdated TV. The beds were comfy and loved the pillow... Loved the pillow so much in fact I ordered one off amazon. The bathroom was alright too until we realized the things in the shower were not ours (we all assumed they were each others things eww) and were left by the guest before us,,, they were still in the bathroom when we left as well. we had 2 rooms adjoined and only one key out of 5 total keys worked... they mixed the keys up too... we were supposed to have 3 keys, my family members was supposed to have 2 keys and their key worked only on our room... (Thank Goodness we had the ajoined doors left open to each others rooms) The slot on her door was completely broken.. It did not even light up at all... Our keys all had to be re-keyed. After spending forever in a long line to get that done. Ugg (forget it we sucked it up and used the one key... until after the incident when security took me straight to the front of the line to get it done) We also signed up for and received players cards when we got to the circus circus and mine quit working, so I went to get a new one... everything was supposed too and should have been transferred over to the new card but... I lost all of my points... The kids 14 and 8 had a blast at the Adventure Dome and at the Midway carnival games. The circus acts were much better then we expected! Those were actually spectacular and a joy to see!! The kids loved it!!! The roulette table on the other hand had an admittedly strung out on crack guy at the table... He was clearly messed up and kept saying loudly how he needs to stop doing so much crack? Rockin Ritas was full of hookers... They were bragging about being hookers and the bar tender seemed to know they were hookers too... It is so sad that the Circus Circus is turning into a drug and prostitution hub for Las Vegas! So all in all we had a good time and bad time all in one trip... It kinda evened itself out with the good and bad... Circus circus not great but just Okay. We also stayed 2 nights at the Flamingo and 2 nights at the Cosmopolitan... So the circus circus was defiantly a downgrade but was perfect for the kids!!! read more

I very rarely write reviews, but after reading all of the terrible reviews online about it, I felt the need to share my experience. My 5 year old son and I stayed for 10 nights here in October 2014 for personal fun and our room was 100 percent free due to points. There was no check in line (approx 1:15 p.m.) and the check in staff was friendly, let us check in early with ease, they were helpful, gave coupon books, offered directions, etc. It was a very efficient and easy process. Our room was in the West Tower which has been newly renovated. Our room was equal to or comparable to a Hilton/Marriott room. It was a non smoking room, no smell of smoke in the tower, all new furnishings, bedding, etc. and the room was clean and perfectly fine for our stay. The maid service was extremely friendly and helpful for extra shampoo, etc. The bellman were attentive and friendly as well as the head staff that assisted with cabs daily. Yes, the hotel is an older hotel. Yes, it does allow smoking in the casino which does require a sort walk through to get to the Midway, etc. Yes, the pool is not the caliber of other Vegas hotels, but then again, neither is the price of your stay either. The carnival games were great, they were super nice to let me son do "do-overs" so he could win, the arcade was well maintained, the circus acts were diverse and enjoyable, the buffet is not the greatest on the strip, but it is also probably the cheapest on the strip. We did see long lines to check in later in the evenings, and we did see some larger groups staying there that had a children majority. However, since we were not loitering in the lobby, it was really no issue to us. Check out was a breeze. This hotel was great for my son and I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a budget friendly experience. After all, we spent our days at all of the other hotels seeing shows, dining, etc so it really didnt matter...I am accustomed to staying at The Bellagio or the Paris so I'm aware of all that Vegas has to offer and I elected to do a different trip in light of making my child happy. I was scared because of all of the reviews, but most I found to be inaccurate when I arrived and considering the length of our stay, I feel like we had a good representation of the hotel as a whole. The shops are not Fendi and Gucci, but that should be no surprise, and they are only a short walk away if you prefer to shop with them. We walked to the Fashion Show Mall area and it was completely safe, well lit at night, etc and I was traveling along with my son. There were tons of people on the street to walk with you and it was perfectly fine and less obtrusive on that end than the main strip with pamphlets, pan handlers, etc. The beautiful Wynn was a super short walk away for the Lake of Dreams experience and 5 star dining, etc. It is not a 5 star hotel but they dont try to be nor do they promise that. But it was clean, friendly, fun, and certainly fine to stay there for budget or other reasons. Do not let the other reviews scare you. Stayed for 3 nights got complained about ALL 3 nights. 1st night Guy next door told us at 11pm the to shut the fuck up bc we were being too loud in the hallway. Uh NO we werent wr were litterally jist getting into our room. 2nd night same thing of being too loud in our room n security came. Um no we arent and it is not our fault our door slams shut! 3rd night security guard has to keep harrassing us like fucking really? Sir take your kids to your room if you are staying here bc they cant be in this area.. Wtf we r walking thru to the prominade from the parking garage actually n not our fault there r damn machines on the way to the prominade.. This was earlier in the evening like 11:30pm. Then at 3 am we were gambling n we r being too loud walking thru to the machines by our elevator and being disorderly according to the SAME security officer? N wanna know what room n floor we r on to report us? Like we aint even being loud at all n aint no one even around over here.. The security guard was egging my bro n law on too. He flipped off the cameras bc the security guard was all say hi to the birdies in the sky. Well ofcourse he flips them off n says idgaf about no cameras.. that security guard was a miserable piece of shit. Then we ended up calling and complaining once we got back to the room because i was pissed off. Fuck that. He was even harrassing me while i was playing a game on their machine for my room number and what floor we are on. Security manager said well kids cant stop in that area. Bc the area from the parking garage to the prominade has a little slot machine area to the left and the machines surround our entry to the elevator to our room. I was like well we have been here since tuesday evening and not once have we been told kids cant stop in that area for 1 and 2 the kids didnt stop my sister walked by went n put her cigarette out at a machine and the kids n her bf kept going to the prominade and ur officer didnt say dont stop he said kids cant be here! The manager said well if that is true he said that then i apologize for the way he said it he should have worded it differently and I will speak to him. I told him i feel your officer was racial profiling him and harrassing us. Because when we came back this way n stopped to gamble without the kids your officer was harrassing us. He said your bro n law was being loud and disorderly. I was like look he wasnt being very loud and honestly we talk loud in general. I also asked other patrons and they were not bothered. He said regardless of what the other patrons say it is up to the security guards discretion if he was loud or not. He said the way my bro n law acted after he was asked to be quiet was grounds to b evicted. I told him how he reacted yes was not the best way. But if your officer wasn't rude and racial profiling and acted a different way then he would have reacted differently. He said he will speak to his officer and investigate the situation. WE EXPERIENCED A BAD SITUATION WITH TWO INDIVIDUALS KNIFING EACH OTHER IN FRONT OF OF US AND OUR KIDS. PEOPLE STAY ALERTED AT ALL TIMES. I've stayed at this casino before but this time our experience was horrible. I'm completely disappointed. From the beginning when I was checking in till the very last night I stayed there. As I was checking in I asked the receptionist if she could kindly provide me two mini fridges for the two rooms that I booked. I explained to her that we needed it for medication and she was charging me for it. When I know that they waive the fee only if it's for medications. Eventually she decided to order the fridges to our rooms and finished checking us in throughout the process she was giving us a awful attitude. We got to our rooms and left our stuff there and left to do some touring on the strip. We came back late and as we where getting ready for bed I noticed there was blood on bed sheets. That only gave me the impression that they hadn't changed the bed sheets. I striped them off and called the housekeeping department multiple times and they didn't answer. Lucky I had packed a set of bedsheets and I used mine. The next morning I told the housekeeper that the sheets had blood and that they were dirty. Instead of letting her supervisor know of the situation she decided to put me down and told me that they couldn't change the blankets because I didn't inform them the first day immediately. As we were leaving the supervisor was there and we told her the situation and she told us that she would have the housekeeper change the blankets and offered me to move to another room. I told her just to please change the blankets. She also told me that I could file a complaint for the way the housekeeper expressed herself to me. On our 3 night there we came back around 7pm from having dinner and on our floor three individual were getting into a verbal altercation. My husband, kids and I were stepping out of our room to head over to the arcade. When these individuals rushed down the hallway towards where we were with their knifes out trying fight each other screaming that they were going to kill each one of them mentioned that they had a gun. Unfortunately it was to late they seen us face to face. We rushed in into our room. Locked the doors called front desk. They told us that they were aware of the situation. We called again and told them we were scared and the said that they would send security over. Security came to our room but they didn't apologize for the terrible moment that we' had to experience. My kids were scared to go to the restroom. They didn't want to go out anymore. Security said that individual would leave the premises and that all they could do and move us to a different room. I am deeply concerned on how they handled this situation. It's very upsetting that you go with your family to circus circus to have a pleasant time and end having a life threatening experience. I give it a MINUS RATING! Just posted this on the Circus Circus Las Vegas facebook page with a 1 star rating. Stayed for 3 nights got complained about ALL 3 nights. 1st night Guy next door told us at 11pm the first night to shut the fuck up bc we were being too loud in the hallway. Uh NO we werent. 2nd night same thing of being too loud in our room n security came. Um no we arent and it is not our fault our door slams shut! 3rd night security guard has to keep harrassing us like fucking really? Sir take your kids to your room if you are syaying here bc they cant be in this area.. Wtf we r walking thru to the prominade from the parking garage actually n not our fault there r damn machines on the way to the prominade.. This was earlier in the evening like 11:30pm. Then at 3 am we were gambling n we r being too loud walking thru to the machines by our elevator and being disorderly according to the SAME security officer? N wanna know what room n floor we r on to report us? Like we aint even being loud at all n aint no one even around over here.. then we ended up calling and complaining once we got back to the room because i was pissed off. Fuck that. Security manager said well kids cant stop in that area. Bc the area from the parking garage to the prominade has a little slot machine area to the left and the machines surround our entry to the elevator to our room. I was like well we have been here since tuesday evening and not once have we been told kids cant stop in that area for 1 and 2 the kids didnt stop my sister walked by went n put her cigarette out at a machine and the kids n her bf kept going to the prominade and ur officer didnt say dont stop he said kids cant be here! The manager said well if that is true he said that then i apologize for the way he said it he should have worded it differently and I will speak to him. I told him i feel your officer was racial profiling him and harrassing us. Because when we came back this way n stopped to gamble without the kids your officer was harrassing us. He said your bro n law was being loud and disorderly. I was like look he wasnt being very loud and honestly we talk loud in general. I also asked other patrons and they were not bothered. He said regardless of what the other patrons say it is up to the security guards discretion if he was loud or not. He said the way my bro n law acted after he was asked to be quiet was grounds to b evicted. I told him how he reacted yes was not the best way. But if your officer wasn't rude and racial profiling and acted a different way then he would have reacted differently. He said he will speak to his officer and investigate the situation. We are NOT staying here EVER again!! Worst experience for a first time visitor makes me not want to come to Vegas ever again! read more

I can remember when Las Vegas went through their "family friendly" phase. Most of the popular hotels featured motion simulator rides, IMAX theaters, really stocked arcades, free "tamer" shows, and the like. After "The Hangover" came out, Vegas ran with their "What Happens in Vegas stays in Vegas" campaign, and the family phase was phased out. No more simulator rides, arcades fell to neglect. No more G/PG rates free shows and attractions. So these days, to take children and teens to Vegas is a true challenge. Enter Circus Circus, the only hotel that the younger set has a decent chance at surviving during their Vegas stint. This is moreso due to a very nice amusement park and the ongoing circus acts. But not all is good in Circus Circus Land. Here's the break down: GOOD: The amusement park is a nice bargain. There's enough there to entertain toddlers to teens. I really enjoyed the two roller-coasters, and I'm thankful that Circus Circus is the only hotel on the Strip that still has motion simulator rides. Also, the circus act continue to be a nice add-on. It features great stunts of balance and high-flying acrobatics, and it's a consistent venue that's close to McDonalds. BAD: Kids like buffets, and so do families with kids. But the Circus Circus's buffet is subpar. Yes, it will do the job of getting food into empty bellies, but with so many better buffets on the Strip, and a $17 dinner cost, I'm expecting much more, and better quality. Kudos to the pasta bar; easily the best part of the buffet. The hotel is also way down at the end of things. It's bordered by a vacant lot that has been vacant for years, and the lot is a few blocks long. At night, it's empty, very dark, and eerie walking south from Circus Circus to the main element of the Strip. There are also some unsavory characters hanging out in the area. UGLY: Smoke ventilation is horrible. As a non-smoker, I could feel the nicotine doing a number on my lungs. Circus Circus is an older hotel, and they've really neglected their ventilation system. It's so bad that you can cut through the smoke-odor with a knife. This is bad news for children and their young, developing lungs. All and all, I'm recommending Circus Circus for families with children only because there's no longer any other family-friendly hotels on the Strip (including Excalibur). And while the amusement park and the circus are great touches, families need to be wary of the location, the poor buffet and especially the poor ventilation. read more

This place is a true horror show-don't let the "festive" carnivalesque atmosphere sway you any differently. As others have suggested, it should be burned to the ground. I am writing a book about Las Vegas and therefore interested in the seedier side of the city, however, this place is a true shithole with no redeeming qualities, even from a literary perspective. The one thing that will hit you in the face like a hard slap from a prostitute is the overwhelming smell of mold and decay the moment you step through the doors. That and a carpet stained so many times by so many different bodily fluids it is currently a putrefied shell of its formerly colorful and cheerful self. Unfortunately for me, I encountered a double whammy visiting this place: holiday weekend and what seemed like the end of some performance. Swarms of people swept me into their human wave and I could not escape before taking a lap around the bend-I have never seen this place so crowded, mostly people with their packs of obese children (really is there no better place to take your kids?). I took a brief detour to the casino floor and that's when things really got ugly. There were beer bottles and garbage strewn everywhere, while one listless employee halfheartedly swept a few straw wrappers into his dust pan. At 3 pm there was a man so drunk he could barely walk straight or focus his eyes lurching in my direction, blind to his surroundings. Fearing that I would either be bitten by any number of vermin or mugged in full view of everyone in the middle of the afternoon, I made my way to the door and RAN away. I'd rather take my child (or myself) to a prison yard (which is basically what this was) then EVER come here again. Unless you're a glutton for punishment, you'd be better off staying home. Oh and the best part is that Circus Circus is located smack dab in the middle of a tweaker-deranged homeless person hangout. In one day, I spotted a disabled woman tying up her arm in the street in broad daylight, a very deranged man running down the street, full-speed in 110 degree heat with his eyes simultaneously bugging out of his head, and what I assume was a homeless man wearing shoes 5 sizes too big while attempting a zombified walk/stagger which culminated in his swaying in place in the middle of the street for an undetermined amount of time. read more

These people will steal your money. The have policies of breaking the law unconcerned with the federal trade commission in the least. The laws about the gotcha fees at check out they dont disclose when you book or even when you check in. They say nothing then at check out with a straight face these thieves double the bill at least. I paid $75 as advertised in a travel site. Read every word and no mention of resort fees, skyline fees, or the $175 unexplained charge. $500 in fraudulent charges hit my card 24 hours after check out they want you to clear the city before they steal from you. Do not take this from them do not pay it file a claim with the federal trade commission. They made these practices illegal over a year ago. These people are fraudsters and criminals. They tell you they need your credit card for a deposit that is a lie. A scam to get you to give them your credit card information so they can steel from you illegally. Then not give you any way to contact them directly. They know the government is incompetent and bought off by big corporations just like them . They have the right bought and paid for by our elected officials to steel from you like you ain't shit. They have stolen our country and now act the fool. I am never staying here or going to Vegas again. I don't take shit like this ether so I will file a small claims case. Win my money back plus damages. Best of all whoever shows to defend these scum bags I will beat into a coma in the parking lot. This is war. This must change and that starts with driving out of business shit holes like circus circus. Skyline fees. The room was the set up. For that I paid $75 per night. Checked out not a word mentioned about any such fee. Until 24 hours later then they hit me with $500 in illegal charges. Go ahead and try for yourself to call them. The whole thing is a robbery. This is why corporations are not people should have no rights and are a massive liability to have exist at all. Nine essential and lethal corrupt thieves that add nothing and take everything they have not earned. Time to shut this shit down. Circus Circus is a truly unique Las Vegas experience, and our time there was as enjoyable as always. The casino has a great variety of slot machines, including classics like Wheel of Fortune, and the bonus features keep things exciting. One of the standout elements of Circus Circus is the high-wire circus acts you can watch while you gamble, adding a bit of old-school Vegas charm to the experience. Plus, even in the peak of summer, the place stays wonderfully cool. Slots O Fun is a newly renovated gem at Circus Circus. The coin-operated slots give off a nostalgic vibe, and the bar serves up some of the cheapest food and drinks you'll find on the Strip. For just $2, you can get hot dogs, popcorn, shrimp cocktails, and beer. I was initially hesitant about the shrimp cocktail in a plastic cup, but it was surprisingly fresh and crisp, with a spicy cocktail sauce that hit the spot. The Sabrett hot dogs were also pretty good--definitely no complaints for $2. The staff here are friendly, and tipping well is always appreciated. The atmosphere at Circus Circus isn't fancy, but it's perfect if you're looking for a solid place to gamble and eat without breaking the bank like some of the more upscale spots on the Strip. The crowd here might remind you of the folks you'd meet at Walmart--down-to-earth, friendly, and not pretentious. There's no need to be a snob; Circus Circus is a great place with its own charm. Some people unfairly dismiss Circus Circus as a "dump," but that couldn't be further from the truth. Those who jump on that bandwagon often haven't truly experienced all the wonderful things this historical spot has to offer. Built by Jay Sarno, the same visionary who created Caesars Palace, Circus Circus was designed to be a family-friendly destination where parents could gamble while kids enjoyed games and circus performances. Decades later, it still delivers on that promise. So i actually have a lot of places that I need to review, because we literally drove cross country (from Charlotte, North Carolina to Los Angeles, California). My younger sister's birthday was on August 8th! So to surprise her, we counted our coins and surprised her with a road trip to Las Vegas, Nevada. She loves amusement parks and rides, so we looked online for a hotel that was near attractions. What we found was, Circus Circus, which is a hotel that has the amusement park & rides inside of it!!! Intriguing to say the least! & if you are looking for an inexpensive stay on the strip Ok, ok, so enough of the story telling, let me stop boring you, i'll get on with the review!!! lol Circus Circus is a huge ... HUGE family oriented hotel.. There are about six separate individual buildings surrounding the main amusement attractions. What I LOVED: **all amusement rides were inside, so rain or shine, or extreme heat, you can always ride. **good location to the Las Vegas Strip. you can walk, which i suggest b/c parking is horrible on the strip, but if you walk, make sure you don't wear extremely high heels! .. (I made that mistake) lol **Free Parking at the hotel!! excellent!! **cab availability is excellent **you can check out through the television **security guarding all parking lots What I HATED: **pool closed at 9pm !! uhh, can it be opened all night.. come on.. LAS VEGAS!!.. there's never a lifeguard on duty, so why close early? **not enough towels **water pressure in shower, was o.k. looks like i had more things i loved, than hated, but it wasn't luxury nor a relaxation place.. but it was family.. very busy, things always going on.. non-stop, kids everywhere.. the slot machines were ok, i didn't get rich or anyting! lol i gambled 2 quarters and got $6 :") that's about it, so if you looking for a fun family-time and close to the strip.. check it out! `A.D. read more

Lasciate ogni speranza, voi ch'entrate. This phrase kept running in my head during my one day at Circus, Circus. Why only one day, you ask? Well, my heart couldn't take it. It wasn't the meth heads or the white, cracked-out trailer park kings or the families of twenty or more with their ginormous asses blocking the walkways, or the creepy gaze of tattooed men staring hard eyes at my 10-yr-old daughter, or the smoky, dark hallways dotted with unwatched and unwashed children, or the hospice-like feel of the midway and its sad, dated video games on life support, or the oversized skating rink feel of the Adventuredome and the Frankenstein-like vibe of its rides like they were all built in a meth-lab-turned-factory with the severed limbs of former discontinued state fair attractions, or the ridiculous prices charged to ride them. No. It was the hopelessness that the collective images filled me with. The feeling that this is where we're all headed-man and casino alike. That when the glitz and glamour of the casinos of the south side of the Vegas strip began to tire, this is what they'll become. An unkept sarcophagus storing the broken pieces of ourselves that no one wants but the desperate and sick and derelict. And that's the problem with Circus Circus. Because Vegas is not supposed to pin you down to the darkest threads of reality. It's supposed to take you away from all of that. The grocery store in your town you can no longer visit at night. The homeless guy you pass by on your way to work every morning. The grungy kid from high school that never stopped being the grungy kid from high school. The Jerry Springer episodes that flash on your television while you're scrolling to CNN. Inner city graffiti, discarded tall boys, young men in trucker hats and baggy jeans gripping the skeletal arms of their young mom girlfriends. Vegas shouldn't remind you of this. But Circus Circus does. "It's where lung cancer goes to get lung cancer," I told my boyfriend. He agreed. "I hate to feel like an elitist..." he began, and I nodded. Follow up on the Hotel Stay at Circus Circus for 12 days during New Year 2016-2017: I have just received the correspondence from Risk Management Cell(RMC) of this Strip Hotel In Las Vegas denying all possibilities of BedBug in our Hotel Bed during our stay. Fact is, that I was bit alive during this period, took some time for me to realize the cause of my terribly itchiness on the underside of my legs. A bedbug was seen alive on my portion of the bed by my daughter and me and it was full of fresh blood when we crushed it. Point is- when you are on a trip to a happening place like Vegas, the only thing you desire from your hotel booking is a peaceful night's sleep without bugs or any other disturbances as you have planned out a busy schedule during your stay. You will certainly not get the time to change rooms or pester the hotel management to pay compensation for your discomfort plus the possibility of carrying home a bedbug in your luggage, especially when you are paying $100/day for booking a room that you will use only to sleep in for a few hours. Friends, please choose else where such as The Caesar's Palace, Luxor, Wynn, The Golden Nugget(downtown) The Lucky Dragon, Stratosphere, New York NY- I have been to these Hotel's cum Casinos's and believe me, they are maintained like show places while the Circus Circus has a huge crowd but the whole setup looks rundown and poorly maintained. Besides, if you have any issues with the room, they ask you to shift to another room which might have its own maintenance problems, apart from the fact that they deliberately hide information such as that, in case of an issue we need to lodge an official complaint with their Security division, approach their RMC for opening a case, etc. It is not so simple as making a formal complaint to room service or the front desk and they should actually take care of all the formalities. They simply push the buck around to escape responsibilities. This hotel is part of the MGM group so one would assume that it is well maintained. Well folks, pay a bit extra and sleep in peace on your Holiday!!! read more

We've stayed at Circus Circus a number of times and always had pleasant experiences. However, after our latest "stay" we will never deal with this horrible hotel again. Let me just say the staff is horrendous and the words customer service don't belong anywhere near this establishment. The hotel screwed up our reservation and had us booked for the night after we were supposed to stay there. We were flying in from Miami and knew we'd be getting in late, so we called ahead to make sure the hotel knew we'd be checking in late. They confirmed that we had until three in the morning that night, while neglecting to inform us that the reservation was for the incorrect night. Weary from our travels, we were beyond frustrated to find out at the check in desk that our reservation was for the wrong night. The first clerk we dealt with had neither the authority nor the integrity to handle the situation, and quickly deferred us to his manager. Her name is Janet Edwards and this horrible woman deserves to be FIRED. Janet came over and was instantly yelling at us, the paying guests, for the hotels oversight. Had we been informed earlier on the phone that the reservation was for the wrong night, we would have booked another hotel room. It was now one in the morning, we were tired and everywhere was closed or sold out. Janet didn't care, and rather treated us like unwanted nuisances, despite the fact that we were paying customers. She literally yelled at us, refused to do anything to remediate the situation, and told us time and time again that "this conversation is over." This is the singlehanded worst customer service experience I have ever been subjected to. How a "customer service" agent could think it's appropriate to yell at paying customers for the hotel's oversight is beyond dumbfounding. Anyways, we will never return to this hotel and I would urge you to think long and hard before booking a room here. The prices are cheap, but don't expect any sort of customer service and if there's an issue, know it won't be resolved and you'll be treated like a criminal. read more

Hotel deserves 0 star. Check-in was an hour or two long. They have so many computers available to assist customers and only two workers!! RIDICULOUS!!! Rooms don't have microwave or mini fridge even when it's an upgraded room. Carpets are dirty!! This should be a nasty motel NOT a hotel!! filthy n run down!!! Very loud air conditioning and dusty rooms my skin was itchy during our 4 day stay. There are rats because when the lights are off you can hear things moving/crawly all night!!!!!! I COULD NOT SLEEP!!!! waste of money better to get a nicer room n pay a little more even if you have kids and come back for kid's attractions but DO NOT STAY HERE!! This is my first and last time I will NEVER RETURN!!!! Employees attitudes are those from the hood, picked up from the streets!! Uglyass attitude with no customer service!!! You don't get a smile, a welcome, Hi or Thank you. Circus circus employees are all Bergens, unhappy n miserable looking working there which was probably the reason they they treat customers like shit!! They looked unhappy working there especially at the food court and housekeeping. Nora/Sara are both unprofessional. i was told I would be on the list for housekeeping, came back to a dirty room with no towels. i called for room service and was told Sara didn't put me on the list for room service. Called back and this b****h Nora from housekeeping acted stupid and didn't think I needed housekeeping service so she never sent anyone and the b***h hung up on me. I called back to housekeeping and she picked up and hung up. called again to speak to a supervisor and my call was never answered again. Called help desk talked to person in charged and he (David) said someone will call me and never did! Take your money somewhere else!! By the way, plumbing is bad, shower water does not drain. Worst experience with my family EVER!! Many of the negative reviews had the same experiences. Shitty place and shitty employees!!! Don't spend your hard earned money here!!!! I had a nice time visiting Circus Circus hotel in Las Vegas. When I arrived to my room, it was nice to see the old interior designs as I have seen it when I was a child. One thing caught to my attention is that this hotel needs to do some repairs and more cleaning. When I arrived to my room, I saw some damaged dry walls, water stains on the ceiling, and the carpet didn't look clean at all. The bed was clean and comfortable but I was a bit uncomfortable after seeing some damaged areas. I thought to myself that this room might be infested with bugs. Luckily I didn't see any bugs crawling nor dead at any places in the room, so I will let that go. The hotel lost one star from me because of the damaged areas that I observed in the room. I have enjoyed my time of gambling and I was happy to know this hotel saved some gambling machines from the past. I may be wrong but some of the machines that I saw was the same gambling machines as I remembered in the old days. My dad use to come here often and play the slot machines and black jacks while my mom would take me up stairs and allow me to play with the kid's games. Now it is the opposite temperament and this time I get to play the gambling games while my wife takes the kids upstairs to play with the child games just like what I use to do in the 90s. I was surprised that this hotel continues to have the circus arena performing on the second floor. I watched the performance and it has never disappointed me since when I was a little boy. The food inside the buffet was great! I loved to eat their steak they have made and all other foods have the excellent taste with a mixture of spices. The interior design inside the buffet was authentic and if I could remember, the hotel never changed its interior designs and remain as it is when it was built in the 60s. Overall I did enjoyed my stay and I did have a good time here. Whenever I have to chance to come here again with family, I will try to stay here longer. I haven't stayed a night at the CIRCUS CIRCUS HOTEL/CASINO (LAS VEGAS) yet, but, I wanted to write this review because I have been very lucky at this hotel/Casino in my last several visits and I want to share the love with all of the other LOYAL YELP USERS. I have found the other visitors (internationally as well as national) to be so kind and supportive as you win or lose at blackjack, the loosest slots on the strip, or, any of their other MANY, MANY GAMES. Personally, in my last visit, I got most excited when I won $600 playing a BLACKJACK ARCADE-STYLE MACHINE. The buy-in starts at a mere $3 (I am embarrassed buying-in that low, so, I always chip-in $5, at least). After reaching a certain point, I got brave enough to up my bid to $25 & eventually up to a $75 bet. In the end, I felt my luck was running low, so, I cashed out at $600. I would swear that it didn't take me an hour to earn that money and it makes me wonder what I could have earned if I had the bravery required to really risk good money. It's memories like this one that makes me wonder why I haven't visited CIRCUS CIRCUS HOTEL & CASINO - LAS VEGAS, NV more often as I am 47yo. ANOTHER COMMENDING REMARK ABOUT CIRCUS CIRCUS H&C, LAS VEGAS: I suppose all of my ups&downs winning&losing have put me in the eye of the staff there - of which you rarely go a moment without seeing SOMEONE you can reach out to (if you should have questions, need guidance or have a random comment you want to make). I suppose after I joined their players club, all of the points I've earned got me 3 separate 2day/2night stays in the month of October. When I asked if I had any joyous opportunities coming up in September 2023 compared to the THREE FREE 2 DAY/2NIGHT STAYS AT CIRCUS CIRCUS H&C IN THE MONTH OF OCTOBER, A kind worker (female) at the VIP CLUB OFFICE TOLD ME THAT I WOULD RECEIVE $50 IN FREEPLAY IN SEPTEMBER. Too bad zero is not an option. Where to begin. The front desk workers are incompetent and they lie to you. I was asked for my credit card 3 times after already placing one on file for incidentals. I wanted to watch pay per view movies and it told me to call the front desk and lo and behold they asked me for credit card AGAIN!!! They have no clue what they are doing over here. We waited for close to 2 hours for a crib for our one year old and after 4 phone calls we finally got one, at a cost of course. They charged us $20 per night for a filthy little portable crib! On top of a $25 a night resort fee!! Go stay somewhere else!! I'm not a picky person but I get so frustrated when dealing with this kind of incompetency from the whole front desk staff!! But wait, there's more, much more...... Rooms are dirty and smelly. I rented 2 rooms connected and one of them smelled liked urine and the other like ass, no joke. Apparently there is a shortage on pillows cause only 2 are available per bed with no extras. Ok but that's not all, there is construction going on all around this hotel. Even thought it's on the strip you still have to drive to get out of the ghost town section we are in at this motel. Circus Circus is the ghetto motel 6 of the Las Vegas strip and its front desk staff need to go back and flip burgers and not deal directly with customers cause they have zero knowledge on how to treat people. The management here over the front desk area need to be demoted or fired and the entire staff retrained. The cleaning ladies are nice, the adventure dome is fun for the kids. I do not ever want to stay here again and truly regret spending one Cent in this place. The only real fun during our stay here was taking the time to read the other reviews about this joke of a hotel. Stay away from booking here but maybe check out the indoor mini theme park. read more

Were do I start ?? I only giving 1 star because I've been to many casinos, but this one is straight up horrible !!! The rooms are suppose to be clean and redone , well if you call redone with carpet or drapes that smell like a smokey run down bar and the bedding had dried up blood and crumbs on top of the bed spread this is your beautiful kind of place. I was in the sky tower which the elevators are slowest I ever been in. The kids are all freaking over which OK because of the kid attractions which OK you can't blame the kids, but there should be a curfew of some sort. I tried some food places which were the worst ever circus buffet average food nothing special but just barely OK The garden grill was terrible from a waitress that couldn't speak English and the food was terrible, burgers were greasy nasty, sweet potato fries were even worse, the grease was never changed in their fryer, I 've worked in the food business and they didn't do nothing right, the food , the service. This place would be shut down in are area with in a couple of months just freaking terrible. They even let some dude in with no shirt that just turned 21 food place Barista bagels Lazy horrible staff wanted to give me curled up milk for my coffee, the coffee machine wasn't even cleaned along with counters , the bagel I could bounce it off the wall , I asked to exchange but they said they could, coffee sucked, bagel sucked, staff sucked , they sucked If you just want to party and don't gamble there than this is the place to be. Again the Roms are dirty, food sucked, service sucks as I stated above, I got a free room and air fair from are apa pool tournament. Yelp Review: Circus Circus - 2 stars. We chose Circus Circus to keep our Vegas lodging budget-friendly while hoping for a decent stay, opting for an upgraded room in the West Tower. Check-in was quick and easy with the self-service kiosks, which was a plus. The room on the 16th floor was decent--clean enough, but for a party of four, we were given only three towels, which was odd and inconvenient. The hotel itself was fine for wandering around, but our experience took a sharp turn for the worse at 3 AM. Our neighbors stumbled in drunk, talking loudly, and then cranked up their music. The walls were so thin it felt like we were in the same room as them. It was unbearable, and my hopes that they'd pass out quickly were dashed as the noise continued. This is where the hotel's security team earns their five stars. I called them, and they responded incredibly fast. They addressed the noisy group promptly, though the group denied being loud. Security issued a warning and left, but smartly lingered down the hall. Sure enough, the party started up again, and security returned, handling the situation with impressive professionalism. They firmly but politely explained that people were trying to sleep. The group--entitled and argumentative--refused to take responsibility, but security stayed calm and resolved the issue so effectively that the group ended up leaving. Unfortunately, this ordeal terrified my 11-year-old daughter, who was so shaken that she didn't feel safe staying any longer. We ended up cutting our stay short because I refuse to let my daughter stay in a place that makes her feel scared. While the security team was exceptional, the thin walls and disruptive guests made for a terrible experience overall. Two stars for the hotel, but major props to the security team for their outstanding response. read more
