Delicious Italian food with nice sized portions. The sushi is amazing as well! It's fresh and they have a good selection of rolls to try.

My husband and I went on a Sunday evening. The restaurant was no busy at all and we were able to choose which table we wanted to sit at. Service was great, food was just ok to me. I had the Zuppa Di Pesce which was listed under the pasta section, however it did not come with pasta. It was also listed to come with "Tuscan Bread" and by tuscan bread, they mean charred regular Italian bread. Drinks were large and strong. The restaurant is nice and intimate but pricey. I don't think we will be returning any time soon. read more

After reading numerous positive reviews, I finally got to try Cirella's. Let me begin by saying that the service was outstanding, and the portion sizes were gargantuan. We shared a meat & cheese platter which consisted of 3 cheeses, and 4-5 assorted cold cuts that could have fed 6 people. Although plentiful, the entire platter was tasteless. I've never experienced tasteless chunks of Parmesan cheese as well as tasteless provolone. As noted, the cold cuts were also tasteless, and although they were all different you couldn't distinguish the taste from one to the other. For our main course we shared a behemoth veal chop Parmesan. The veal was supposed to be thinly pounded which I would assume would tenderize it. In my opinion the veal chop was never tenderized, and we were left to eat a piece of meat that was hard to cut, as well as being chewy and tasteless. Obviously with a small sample size I don't want to draw an overall assessment, but with respect to the items we ordered it was apparent that their strategy is to serve large quantities of low quality fare. read more

I normally enjoy the food here. Some dishes are a little too salty, but overall not too bad, however, I recently had the braised short ribs with gnocchi. My tongue was burning because it was soooo salty! I don't know if it was the brown sauce, but everything just tasted really salt and I could hardly eat the dish. I don't know why some dishes are loaded with salt. It makes it so unhealthy. The flavors of the food by themselves should taste good without needing a ton of salt. read more

Difficult review due to miscommunication. I ordered the eggplant Marsala and asked if it came with pasta with brown sauce. It came with a red sauce with chunks of tomato. I should have sent it back immediately but I figured I'd try it. Half way through I told the manager who told me the Marsala was in the sauce. The other three diners were happy with their meals. Salads and bread were good as was the coffee. They should have comped us the biscotti which they did not. Service was good BUT that one little thing they should have done... they didn't so.... Not going back. I'm an easy going diner but these things Turn me off. read more

Cirella's is the perfect spot for Nassau and Suffolk friends to meet up. We had a great night feasting on some delicious food. We shared the Cirella salad, cut romaine and iceberg lettuce, provolone, olive, red onion, chic peas, tomatoes, celery and cucumber with one of the best balsamic dressings. Calamari was made perfectly. I had the salmon with a honey glaze, cooked to perfection. The side of broccalini was a bit tough. My husband got a veal Marsala with farro and crispy onion on top. I was in Melville for business and needed to find a place to have dinner so I went on Yelp and found this fabulous restaurant. The service and the food were the shining stars. Our waitress was so happy to hear this was our first time at the restaurant she went through the large menu with ease and inserted her favorites dishes. With her guidance we started with the shrimp scampi flatbread - Amazing. The moved on to chicken rice soup and Caesar salad. For dinner we had the cappellini with shrimp and scallops in a light pink sauce and the chicken parmigiana. Followed up with house made cannoli. I love this place and the staff. I look forward to our next trip to Melville so we can dine here again. read more

I decided to use Cirella's to cater a birthday party and I am so glad I did! Everything was perfect! We decided to order vegan & vegetarian items. We had the Caesar salad, kale & quinoa salad, pasta primavera, eggplant parm and penne with marinara no cheese. The pasta primavera was absolutely delicious. When I order it from other places and ask to make it vegan (no butter, cheese or chicken stock) it does not come out good. Their version is consistently great! The kale & quinoa salad was also delish. I order it without cheese to make it vegan. It came with several types of bread too. Everyone loved all the food! A total winner! read more

OMG I came here last night with friends and had an awesome meal. I had the Chicken Contadina that other yelpers recommended and boy was I happy with my selection. It was delicious and HUGE so I'm looking forward to having the leftovers for lunch today! The service was excellent as well. Our server left us alone and didn't rush us at all, even though the restaurant was pretty busy for a Wednesday night. The creme brulee for dessert was OK - I've had better but I'm not usually a dessert person anyway .... I was also very pleased with the gentleman who was valeting the cars. They need to work with GrubHub to update their menu because I ordered a sushi roll they do not have anymore and got something completely different - it was very disappointing because what they gave me was almost identical to something already in my order. (ordered Supreme Cirella Roll, got Spicy Cirella Roll) Its very nice they give you complimentary sweets, but very strange they give half a cookie, at least give a whole chocolate chip cookie so one is not suspicious it came from someone else's table (not saying it did, just saying half a cookie is suspect) On the plus side, their sushi is very good, on par with actual "Japanese" sushi restaurants read more

Cirella's has been in Melville for many years and still serves up a wonderful Italian meal with great service, large portions and fair prices! For appetizer, the Burrata with beefsteak tomato, eggplant caponata and a delicious fig balsamic! Save some bread to soak up the balsamic and a little of that creamy burrata mozzarella filling! For my main I had a delicious eggplant rollatini dish with a side of sauteed escarole done right! The eggplant rollatini was served parmigiana style with melted mozzarella on top. Excellent dish! Also the angle hair pasta pescatore with the lite tomato sauce was very tasty and served for a great leftover lunch the next day, In all a very good meal. Of notable mention was the service! The waitress we had, Jennifer was outstanding and a very nice touch is the the light up check mark bill. When you are given your bill for the meal, the folder for the check has a check mark on the front of it that you light up with a touch of the button when the bill is ready to be paid. I'll start by saying this place has the feeling of an Italian restaurant I'm used to (born in the Bronx) but has a wide menu. They always have new dishes. The food here is outstanding as is the service. The owner is always walking around making people feel at home. I've been here on business meetings, with family, and just for personal hanging out and dining. Great bar area with awesome bartenders. You can't go wrong. If You are meeting clients it's a great place that won't break your budget but is still classy enough to go to. If out with friends grab some sushi at the bar and listen to the live music they have. Offering us additional choices just for our group, not on the menu. We so enjoy that the menu includes wonderful Italian family favorites AND their special take on sushi! The wait staff was patient and kind with our undeceive group. recommendations were right on point. I don't want to tell specific menu choices because you really need to try it all. Went here recently for a date night and it was amazing! We sat at a table by the bar and we were really happy with the distance between the tables. We felt really comfortable with the social distancing and didn't feel like we were sitting on top of anyone. The entire meal was delicious, from the bread bowl to the dessert. The dessert was amazing the only down side was there is valet parking for a parking lot smaller than the actual restaurant which was a bit of a hassle to wait for the attendant to come out and park my truck two feet away from where I left it. Holy yum. I came here for an anniversary dinner and had an incredible experience. Started off with fresh garlic buttery bread rolls. Next up was creamy burrata with prosciutto, tomatoes and a balsamic glaze. I wasn't a fan of the prosciutto being cooked but I'd have to say one of the best burrata I've ever had. For the entree we split the crispy thinly pounded veal. So tender and flavorful. It came with a side which I swapped for zucchini noodles. They were perfectly cooked with a yummy tomato sauce (which I dipped the veal into too). The waitress was super nice and attentive. She gave wine and food suggestions which were very helpful. Usually this restaurant is great to go out. i went this past week and i ordered a yellowtail roll. the food was great but my sushi had no rice, only seaweed. besides that the food was great and they gave us a free roll to take home to apologize for the original one. overall good service, great food, and good ambiance. read more

A nice surprise...and even more surprising is the Sushi on the menu... We stuck to Italian though, and it was good. The service was very attentive and not overbearing which I always appreciate. The starter was a plate of calamari, which was a large portion and the sauces were thick and rich. One was spicy and the other marinara - both good. The entrée was the chicken topped with the arugula and mozzarella accented with balsamic vinegar. Both were very tasty and the overall presentation and taste were great. Nice balsamic taste and a more tender than expected chicken. I will be back! read more

If you LOVE garlic, you'll love this place. EVERYTHING is heavily seasoned with garlic. Garlic bread, garlic soup, garlic salad, garlic meatballs, garlic pasta, garlic lasagna, garlic chicken, garlic EVERYTHING. WE HAD TO SEND 2 things back because they were so garlicky it was inedible. Never have I seen a restaurant with Listerine in the bathroom, but there is a first for everything I suppose. I think this place could save a ton of money buying less garlic and subsequently not having to offer ListerIne in the bathroom. read more

I have not eaten at this restaurant for many years, was in the area and thought that place was good and we went. The place was nice looking, and smelled good, thought it was a good sign. Unfortunately it was not a great sign, started off with an order of fried Calamari, it was completely inedible! It was extremely rubbery and fishy tasting, I spit out the first piece, tried another one and that same thing. The waitress didn't come check on us for a while and when she did I sent the order back, she never asked if we wanted anything else. We also ordered ravioli, and shrimp parmesan. The ravioli were fine, the shrimp were okay and the pasta barely had any sauce on it, I ordered it with EXTRA sauce. I asked when we got the food for extra sauce on the side, it NEVER CAME! The waitress never came back until we finished our meal, it was not a great experience, poor service, food was not great and unfortunately will be my last time there. read more

Then he offered a high top table in the bright noisy bar, or an outside table under a heat lamp on a busy street (Rte 110). This was supposed to be a quiet night out. I had heard such nice reviews about Cirella's but my experience fell short of expectations. I will say the shining stars of this place was the staff. The hostess was friendly and accommodating, our waitress was a sweetheart. The manager ( I assume she was manager) was also nice and friendly. So for the food: The calamari was rubbery. The eggplant rollatine was inedible because it was literally a casserole of cheese. I could barely find the eggplant. Was more like a fondue then a rollatine. The veal chop, according to both hubby and BIL was delicious. And it was huge! The seafood medley was tasty. I would like to add I did not complain about the eggplant, but the waitress asked if I wanted to take it home, I said no thank you. she inquired that I barely touched it and I advised her that I didn't like it because it was literally all cheese. within a minute the manager came over and said she would remove it. No attitude, nothing. I appreciate a restaurant that cares about its customers dining experience. For that reason I will give Cirellas another chance :) read more
