Food was ok. It wasn't good enough to come back. But the waitress and service was great.

My husband and I were ordering anywhere from 1-2x a week since we got into town. We travel for work and are currently in indio. The pizza used to be great, 2 years ago when we were here. The past few orders, the pizza was floppy and undercooked. This past Friday, my husband went to pick up and told me that if it was undercooked again, he would ask them to throw it in the oven for a few minutes. Well, it was and when he asked- the girl came back and said the cook said, " there are veggies on the pizza and if he puts in oven any longer, the veggies would omit water and make pizza even soggier" WHAT?! I called when my husband came home to complain- it's been 6 days and I'm still waiting for someone to call back. When you pay $45 for a pizza and wings, you expect it to be good. And what's the point of opening box and showing it to your customer for approval if you're just going to turn them away when they ask for a change? Makes no sense. We will never order from them again. read more

We have enjoyed Ciros many times since we moved to Indio 8 years ago.. They serve the best pizza in the area and the eggplant parm and lasagna are especially delicious. They remodeled recently and it looks very nice. I just wish that they still delivered. read more

Ok, this is not the worts place but it's not the best the foods really good but I asked for water and I had a sip of it and it tastes horrible it tasted like plastic. I ordered calamari and when it got to the table there was a guys hair on the plate ( looks like somebody got a hair cut ) but they gave it to us for free. There desert tasted like if it was in the freezer and they just warmed it up. read more

I've been coming to this restaurant for over 17yrs now. Owners have come and gone,food has shifted up and down. On today's visit I had the mushroom raviolis with Alfredo sauce. It was good, not great.but good. My daughter had a chicken parm sandwich with the chicken vegetable soup. And that to was good. (I have to say though that their marinara sauce was very tasty) corps food now I think is good. It still hasn't gotten back up the old flavors it once had, but it's getting there. Overall it's a good Italian restaurant. Only thing I didn't like "AT-ALL" was the manager. He seemed real cocky and arrogant. When he should've been inviting and humble. I did however like the waiter who was helping us. He was On his toes with everything and very polite. I would come back again. read more

1st time eating here , my wife an I have been looking for a Good Pizza place and was pleased with the quality of the pizza , pizza had good flavor over all . Only complaint would be the type of sausage they use ( very salty ) . I would eat there again in the future . read more

Well not being a Pizza person I have to say there's was very good. Great crust and lots of flavorful toppings. My brothers family from New England and BIG pizza fans give this place "rave" reviews. And they allowed my "pain" sister in law to customize her pizza. They all loved it read more

Seriously, what am I missing. I cannot believe any good pizza reviews. This place has been there all the 30-some years we have been in the desert, we decided to give it another try after many years. Do they not understand that an Italian pizza features some red sauce and cheese? This is a great place for big groups craving fast italian. Also a good place for kids. The servers here appear to be seasoned pros and know what they're doing. I recommend the tri-ravioli (portabella mushroom, ricotta and sundried tomato). A friend ordered the fettucini chicken primivera. I don't eat meat but it looked great and he completely cleaned his plate. They have Bud on tap and the house wine will perfectly compliment your $6 plate of spaghetti or slice of pizza. read more

They don't sell their pizzas by the slice, so I got a Small Ciro's Deluxe (sans olives) to go. Travel time back to my hotel was maybe 5-8 minutes. The thin crust was already a bit soggy by the time I got back to my hotel room. Maybe because of all the toppings that come with a Ciro's Deluxe. Overall, just an okay pizza. It's supposed to be the Coachella Valley's favorite pizza place, so I'm hoping that it would have tasted better if I ate it there. Don't judge a book by its cover! We were looking for a restaurant for a bachelorette party, which would make 14 girls happy as well as their wallets. We found this place on Yelp, and because it had great ratings we decided to go. The pictures on Yelp were a little deceiving. When we drove up to the place we were definitely skeptical! I must warn you, the outside does not look like anything special. Even when we sat down inside, the table is covered in ads. Again another aspect that made us think that Ciro's was not a great pick. We looked through the menu, and there was a wide variety of pasta, salad, sandwiches, and pizzas. My table (4 girls) decided to share a Caesar's salad, medium half Hawaiian half veggie pizza, and the trio ravioli. All 3 dishes were extremely delicious! The Caesar's salad had a great dressing and was not over dressed. The ravioli definitely tasted homemade and had a delicious and very fresh tasting marinara sauce. The pizza was DELICIOUS!! They have homemade dough that is freshly tossed! The Hawaiian half was really good with nice large pieces of ham and big chunks of pineapple. The veggie pizza was also delicious, with tons of toppings. The only thing I didn't like about the veggie half was that they used canned mushrooms instead of fresh, but we learned later that you can ask for fresh mushrooms. The only reason I gave Ciro's 4 stars instead of 5 is because the service was just ok. The food came out on time and was pretty quick, however our waitress was not that great. First of all, when we came in, one of the girls asked one of the guys who worked there what was good, and he said "I don't know anything about the menu, I just pour water." That is not a great answer for someone who is representing the restaurant. Also our waitress came up and basically said, "I'm really busy with other tables so I should take your order as soon as you can so your food can be ready quickly." I didn't think this was great customer service, especially for a group that is not in a rush. Overall, Ciro's was a pleasant surprise and super delish! read more

Disappointed! After reading multiple reviews and always trying to support local businesses, I decided to come for dinner. We ordered the Greek pizza and specified, no olives. We also ordered the Lasagna. The pizza came with Olives. The server offered to make a new pizza, but that would have forced my father to wait to eat and my lasagna to get cold. We agreed we would pick them off. The pizza was mediocre at best, as was the lasagna. We left over half of the pizza. When the check came, I thought the server would have taken something off the bill to accommodate his mistake. Unfortunately he didn't, and we won't be returning or recommending. read more

My father grew up in Indio, and went to school with the original owner's kid. The quality and quantity has not changed since the 70s, I'm told. This was an OK pizza experience. The pizza itself, and especially the crust, was great. The other food items were ok, but not exceptional. In our group, we had pizza, baked spaggetti, beef tips (way to salty), chicken alfredo (bland), and one other eggplant dish. The service was great at the beginning, but not as much follow through. Also, we had some kids with us who were going to want dessert. They didn't want to take the dessert order at the beginning of the meal, so when they finally did place the order it took forever to cook (peach cobbler) so the kids were already done eating. Great food, super service. Greeted at the door by friendly staff, taken right to a booth. Bread at the table with our drinks in seconds. Salads were very fresh with great dressings in just the right amount. Just as we finished our salads, here come our entrées. Very ample portions and well prepared. Deserts were also excellent. Check came promptly and was correct. Waitress got 30% tip and was worth it. Highly recommended. read more

Ended up here for the first time after another pizza place was super busy. First off, the pizza was great. I ordered to-go and while waiting, the owner, "Jerry" realized it my kids first time there and let them make a drawing and he put it on the wall. He also, gave all three of my kids fudge pops while they waited. I am glad I ran into this place and we will be definitely be coming back again. We haven't been here in about a year. In the meantime, they have changed owners, and totally redid the interior. (Which by the way, they did a very good job) I was a little afraid to come back because when a new owner takes over, the food usually isn't as good as before. I stay out here once a year when I attend the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells. This is my favorite restaurant to eat at and I make sure I go every year. The food is so good. I've ordered several items from the menu and have never been disappointed. The service is always great and the staff are awesome. Like Melissa B, this was the place where I learned about Italian food. Founded by the Mazzella family who I think came from New Jersey, they brought true quality Italian American food to Indio. I'm not sure if Indio really knew what a great pizza place it had at the time. I didn't. But over the years I have become a pizzaholic and have had pizza all over the place, and make a lot of it myself. And I always remember Ciro's as a touchstone of what a good pizza should be. The crust is chewy and tender at the same time. Great flavors. Nothing overdone. Fresh flavors. Great service. You can't ask for much more, now can you? read more

This is a great pizza place if you don't care about frills. It's very casual, but the pizza is excellent. The most authentic NY style pizza we've found in the desert. They also have really exceptional clam sauce. The white and red are equally as good. My only complaint about this place is their bread. read more

I've enjoyed the restaurant many times through the years and recently it improved with the return of the original owners but now I understand it has been sold and on our recent visit for dinner our salads were below the quality of the past in freshness and not up to previous standard. I have been a customer of Ciros since I was 2 years old. The new owners have made some great changes to the ambience and to the menu but have kept the same consistency Ciros has been known for forever since opening. The pizza is the best hands down the lunch special is fantastic I will never stop going to get my itialin fix.
