I never forgot how cool that was to not only have help finding the correct set, but also getting help installing them too. I happened to be in San Leandro and since a storm is coming in a few days it was high time for new blades. A man named Henry was there to greet me as soon as I walked in the door. He was kind, friendly, and incredibly helpful as he selected new Bosch wiper blades for my Mazda Miata. Turns out Henry trained Glen way back in the day so it makes sense I'd get the same warm, concierge-level care. Since I just had a medical procedure on my right hand, Henry was happy to put the new blades on my car. It was a wonderful experience. The store is clean, well stocked, and in neat order. The parking lot is also big and easy to get in and out of. But the customer service is just top-notch. I am so grateful. Thank you Henry!

They Took My Money, That's About It I purchased brake pads online, received a confirmation number, an invoice, pickup instructions, and was charged $66.44. The money was removed from my account. I have the receipt. I have the barcode. I have the order number. I even have the return instructions listed at the bottom. Turns out I didn't need the brake pads anymore. No problem, right? I figured I'd simply pick them up and immediately return them. Wrong. When I went to the store, the assistant manager refused to give me the part. He said the order was "processing" and "on hold" and then proceeded to say that we never bought it -- despite me showing the confirmation number, invoice, barcode, and proof that the money was already taken from my bank account. His response? "Yeah, that doesn't mean anything. You need to speak to a store manager." Professional Money Collectors, Amateur Problem Solvers I'm sorry... what? Since when does picking up and returning an item require a STORE MANAGER? What kind of business model makes a basic pickup and return so complicated that management needs to be summoned like we're authorizing a merger? And the best part? It was the ASSISTANT MANAGER giving us a hard time. So let me get this straight: You took my money. You confirmed my order. You sent pickup instructions. But now I can't get the item, and I also can't return it -- unless the store manager personally blesses the transaction? Should I bring the CEO next time? Do y'all need my Social Security number too? Should I file paperwork with the federal government? Get a presidential pardon before I'm allowed to process a refund? At this point we paid for brake pads we weren't allowed to receive and weren't allowed to return. That's not a "processing delay." That's absurd. If an assistant manager cannot handle a basic pickup and return with clear documentation and payment confirmation, that raises serious questions about competency and training. We walked out without the part and without our money. That's not customer service -- that's a circus. Fix your systems. Train your staff. They were very nice when I called back for directions because I was lost. When I got there it was a small place and they guy I talked to was very nice. He came looked at my car and said he didn't have it but would order it and give me a call tomorrow to follow up on how long till it came in. Two days later I realized I didn't hear from him. I called in and he said, "oh yeah. It'll be in I'll give you a call once it gets here." I followed up again a few days later and they still didn't have it. If it would've taken this long I would've gone to Auto Zone. It's been months now and they've never called me. Every time I had to call to follow up with them. The guy was really nice the place looked legit and I really wanted to like this place but their customer service outside of directly was horrible.

Been to this location countless times over the past decades. I'm not sure why Americans neglect cars so much. Even if you don't drive a car a mile in 16 years people tend to think the oil is just fine. No, no its not. I got my car home late last night and first thing I did when I had a chance was to come in and get some oil from here. I'm always impressed when a filter from a car that is 35 years old is still in stock. The car has 29,000 miles and looks almost like it came off the assembly line yesterday. I know most people seem to squeeze every ounce of life out of their cars and milk them like a cow totally dry. Then they complain if they have a $500 mechanic bill. We aren't going to do that here. Nein, Nein, Nein!!! This little cream puff I'm happy to get out of the hands of the general public. Its getting routine maintenance and a spot in the garage - as I don't think its seen any sun for 99% of its life. I had just finished bringing up to speed another 80s car I had just gotten a few days before - and I couldn't do it without the help of these stores. I really admire how so much is in stock. No ordering no shipping but on shelves on site. I'm not the biggest fan of ordering and getting in the mail - although for some of what I need its necessary. Over all the years this store has been great for dropping off oil and has very friendly people working here.

Great customer service…read more They greet everyone that comes in. They mostly knew everyone that came in or they were so welcoming that it felt like they knew everyone. I had an air hose that needed to be changed out on an old machine. Did find the exact one I needed but found one that would get the job done. Sold the tube by the foot which was helpful. Bought an extra one just in case we needed to replace another one. Their system was extremely slow, but I was in no rush - and no one else seemed to be either. Good experience. Old school brick and mortar experience the way it should be!
