I've tried out lots of nail salons around San Diego, and this one by far was the best experience I've had at any of them. It's very laid back and comfortable, and the staff are really friendly. They had good music playing the whole time I was there also(hip hop/r&b). This is really a hidden gem. I got exactly what I wanted for my nails today and you can tell they're fast but careful and I love that in a nail salon. I will definitely be coming back soon. THANKS GIRLS!

Every time I come in it's a great experience.She's always welcoming and has a smile on her face. When my grandma passed away Jasmine was very empathetic and kept me laughing for the entire time. I recently went because I was looking for a place that could do my nails for my birthday. I was originally gonna go to diva nails but I ended up walking into here. Wrong decision. My nails were horribly messed up to the point where I started crying out of frustration. They are very accommodating when it comes to scheduling appointments because they fit me in last minute. But for the time, money and work that was done there I would have rather not had my nails done at all. Everyone is extremely sweet and friendly and it's a chill environment but too relaxed, i spent a little over 2 hours just getting a simple full set. My nails were so crooked and thick, it was a nightmare.(+ she didn't really give me the color that I wanted) To my knowledge the lady who did my nails was new, which is okay to me if you're new but she messed them up so badly that I questioned if it was her first time doing acrylic. Extremely upset with my nails, would not recommend. (& not to mention it's a week later and they're already cracking)

I've been going to Primp exclusively for about 2 and a half years now. Reyna, Jazmine and Liz all do my nails due to my availability and they don't get upset about it like other salons would. Their work beats no one, prices aren't too expensive in my opinion. You get what you pay for. All the girls are super nice and attentive, if you don't like the way something came out they'll be more than happy to make it the way you like it.

This place is home to my best nail experience ever. I had Jazmine she was so kindhearted and so genuine person. All the staff is so welcoming and whoever is working on you is solely focused on your experience. 10-10 would recommend. I went in with no idea what I wanted and I told jasmine to do whatever and she spayed my nails. And SHE CUT MY CUTICLES!! Today was my first time going here the service was great. It's small, quaint and just what I've been searching for. No waiting or rushing to get to the next client because it's appointment based. Punctual. I received full set and pedicure. Jazmine was phenomenal. She did a coffin nail set and as you can see they turned out perfect. Love my pedicure. I'm very happy with her work. Just recently visited here for my first time! I had an appointment with Liz and she was on time. My nails are literally artwork! There so beautiful i'm so happy with them! I drove about 20 mins to get to this place and it was so worth it. It's hard finding talented nail artists in San Diego but I definitely hit the jackpot here! read more

So I went here to get my nails done and loved the job she did. No complaints. But I only missed one appointment due to a doctor's appointment and forgot to reschedule, she said it was the second time... I got a call from one of the girls and I can tell there was attitude because I was a no-show. I told her I was sorry that I cross scheduled but with two kids I forget. She didn't care and said, "if you want to schedule again you have to give me your debit card number and a deposit." Um..... no... not for nails. No one had scheduled me with my card in the beginning so why now? I expressed to her that I was not comfortable with leaving my card info and she said, "oh well... you can schedule yourself online and leave the card there..." eh I'll just wait at Diva Nails.. read more

Scheduled an appointment and was pretty excited to get a set by Jazz . My first impression of her was so bad I didn't even get my nails done . She showed up late which is unprofessional and honestly what is the point of an appointment so I left and then the shop calls me to remind me of my appointment and when I tell them I was there (I drove 40 minutes to arrive at a nasty shop with no tech) and she was late they argue like I was wrong to leave when she couldn't be bothered to show up on time .no apology no customer service this place is the worst : read more

I stopped in for a pedicure and got Jazmine. The place was pretty dirty and the tub to soak your feet was just that. Water was cold, she had to heat up the water una carafe and pour it in the cold water to make it warm. The towels used were very old and dirty and had a lot of lint on them which got on my nails while she put the polish on. I got a gel French pedicure and was charged $45.00 and she was done in less than 30 minutes. My pedicure was ok but definitely not the best. I'm not saying that there's something wrong with them having to heat up the water and so forth, but don't charge as if it was an upscale salon when in reality it's pretty dingy. Will not be returning ever. read more

Liz is the absolute best, ive been coming here for almost a year and have been going with Liz for the last 7-8 months. ONLY downfall is her timing, theres maybe been 1 appointment in all the times Ive seen her that she ls actually on time to do my nails. I mean i know shes that good, but damn.... theres been times where she has double booked me, called me a couple times to reschedule because she was running behind. A couple of weeks ago I was 5 minutes from arriving when she calls me to come in an hour later as she was behind, I went back home and didnt bother coming back that same day as i dont live close by. So i rescheduled first thing at 8 am a day later, its now 805 am and im sitting in my car reading her text that she'll be there within 30 minutes... i am done with rescheduling my time when my appointments are NEVER on time, why bother even setting an apt. Great nails, bad timing! Will be going somewhere where i dont have to soak my nails for 30 minutes waiting for her to finish up with her previous customer read more

Its crazy how people aren't willing to pay people that are a master of their craft. You get what you pay for. Ive seen some of her nails last 5 weeks!!!!! So do the math on that! Looking for a good manicurist or nail shop with a caring philosophy for the health of one's nails is a challenging feat. One that does good qualify work is an added bonus! I was calling around for availabilities as my nails had run its course. I called about 5 near the area of South Chula Vista getting pricing and a sense of the workers' attitude. When I called this establishment, I was greeted with a welcoming sweet, pleasant and caring lady who actually cared about her clientele's nails! I explained my situation that I needed fills for 6 of my fingers as the other four had ripped off painfully before being able to get them taken care of. I asked if I would have to get a full set of acrylics or would it be considered fills. She recommended I come in because they like to try to salvage the nail the best way they can since it's healthier for the nail. I liked her philosophy as she cared about the customers' health of the nail and not just about making $5-10 to remove old acrylics then charge for the full set of acrylics which is costlier than fills. She set me up for an appointment with Jazmine Sanchez at 2:45pm. I later came to discover that the lady on the phone was the owner of the boutique. I was impressed with the fancy elegant chairs you get to sit in, the clean environment and the lack of that awful smell that fumigates a lot of nail salons. The only drawback is that the fancy looking chairs for pedicures do not offer spa pedicures with massages. It is old school but u do feel like a princess sitting in the chairs! I was also impressed by my manicurist's nails which were long stiletto encapsulated nails. Jazmine was nice, relatable, and extremely passionate about her job working on nails. She loves to do them, is quick and knows what she is doing. She has a creative flair and can talk story to you like you've been friends for years! She was patient in taking her time to help select complimentary colors best suited for my hands' skin tone. I felt I received good quality work with a good memorable and enjoyable story and I did not get hurt throughout my time with her, which I often did at other salons. I highly recommend this place and Jazmine Sanchez to get your nails "did"! read more

I've been looking for my forever nail lady and I finally found her. Jazmine did such an amazing job on my nails and I've never been more in love. Working at a salon I have to look on point all day long with clients; I also know what good customer service should be. Kassandra was late to my appointment & took 3 hours to do my nails....Only for my nails to look chunky, thick, poorly filed, and poorly blended. On top of that, I had to pay about $60 for this shit. Will not be coming back. Go to Diva Nails instead. read more

First red flag, Sammy/Sammie had a face mask around his neck, not his face. He sneezed multiple times during my pedicure but didn't bother to cover his face. Gross! Second red flag, I chose the European pedicure with regular polish but he kept insisting I get gel polish. After refusing multiple times, he reluctantly started my pedi, but seemed really annoyed. Third red flag, he cut my big toe. I felt it immediately and the jerk didn't bother to apologize. WTF! Then I remembered why I stopped coming here. My daughter complained that they would always make one of her toes bleed at every visit. I won't return and I recommend others to stay away too! They definitely need to be retrained on hygiene practices and learn how to properly trim toenails without breaking skin!

In the end she didn't massage my legs or do lotion, just some oil and a hot towel. They didn't even help me put my sandals back on, she just went straight to the desk to wait for me to pay. If the pedicure process has changed, I'd prefer the menu description options reflect that. I noticed a difference in customer service as time went on and I declined a manicure. Oh well.

What bothered me most was during my pedicure. I was asked to move from the pedicure chair I was already using to another chair to accommodate another guest, even though there were other chairs available. I found this unnecessary and very inconsiderate, especially as I was already comfortable and receiving my service. Good customer service should include clear communication, courtesy, and respect for customers who are already being serviced. Unfortunately, I did not experience that here. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this salon and will be taking my business elsewhere.

This is horrible, the right thing to do should have been to correct the color to make the client happy and not keep looking like a clown. No respect nor consideration. She took the money but never offered to make this issue better the day of. She also cut my hair, horrible didn't even part, literally cut straight across. Horrible person, says she been doing hair 10 years. IVY needs to go back to school and learn to cut, color and make her customers happy. Your loss IVY I would have kept going for touch up but you SUCK!

The polish was nicely done but I wish I just got the basic pedicure. Sadly won't be going back, even to get my nails fixed. 2 stars because of how nice the ladies were and the polish was.
