We had a very disappointing and concerning experience with Citi Smokeshop (Newbury St.). In late July, we left four vaporizer device samples at the store to test a potential collaboration. The understanding was clear: the devices were for customer trials, we would receive feedback, and if there was no response from the market, we could retrieve our devices. Months later, we received no feedback whatsoever, and the store refused to return the devices. We were told that devices left in the store are "assumed to be non-returnable," which was never communicated at the beginning. We called the store at least ten times and were repeatedly told we would hear back "soon." We also visited the store three times in person. A staff member named Sean gave inconsistent and unclear answers every time. Depending on the visit or call, he claimed the devices were in the store, in a New Hampshire warehouse, or already with customers. When we asked to get the devices back, there was always a new excuse. When we asked about customer feedback, there was no real information at all. We are no longer concerned about recovering the devices themselves. What is far more troubling is the lack of honesty and basic business ethics. If this is how the shop handles partnerships, it is hard to trust any product recommendations made to customers. City smoke shop - This is the man who is rude - Vape Shops Near Me - Boston, Massachusetts

Recently having relocated to Boston, I was on the lookout for a solid vape/smoke shop in the area. After reading countless reviews, I settled on City Smoke Shop on Newbury Street. I'm glad I stopped in. The selection here is astounding! It is A LOT to take in! I say this as a frequent customer of vape/smoke shops. They have a massive selection of glassware, glass bowls/connectors, bangers, torches, butane, lighters, pipes, vaporizers, eCigs, rolling trays, wraps, papers, cones, hookah, cigarettes, and every other smoking/vaping product out there! They have a massive selection of refillable vaporizers. They also have a ton of coils, so you know it won't be an issue finding them when needed. Juice options are limited due to State Laws against flavors, aside from tobacco. They do have a small humidor with a small selection of cigars. It's clear this isn't a super popular product here. The quality and selection of the cigars was so-so. I saw quite a few cracked/damaged cigars while browsing the humidor. The rep who helped me was incredibly kind and patient, wish I got his name! I spent over an hour just walking the store and taking in the massive selection. It took me another hour to decide on what exactly I was going to buy. I settled on a Caliburn G2 "pod mod" to replace my leaky VUSE Alto. I'm also not a big fan of Juul due to quality issues, so it was nice to have a large variety of pod mods. I also picked up a two-pack of 1.2ohm Pod Cartridges. It's always smart to have a few extras on hand! Juice wise, you're extremely limited to tobacco-only flavors. This is state law. Due to this, I asked for the closest juice to Juul or VUSE. I decided on the NKD 100 "Euro Gold" Salt e-Liquid. The selection and knowledge is phenomenal. They're also open late. I stopped in on a Saturday evening and they were open until 11PM. It's nice having a spot open late with a huge selection! My only reason for reducing it to four-stars is two reasons: 1. Price - The other reviews are true. The prices here are out of touch with reality. I get you have to make a profit. 3-4x markup is insanity. $59 for a $21 device is taking advantage. $20 for a $5 two-pack of coils is just being a bit out of touch. Everything is marked up at least 2-3x times. The receipt doesn't even match the price sticker on the item. All sales are final, so I won't even bother bringing it up. 2. Humidor - I understand cigars aren't their main draw. However, dry and cracked cigars are a bad look and are not smokable. They need to dispose of damaged items and ensure humidor is set properly. Introducing more options would also be welcomed! The selection wasn't terrible, but could be improved. If they came down a bit in price, they'd have the solid 5-Stars. I just have a hard time accepting being charged $59+ for a device that is sold for around $20-$25. I did verify all products were legitimate with the manufacturer. If you're looking for a smoke/vape shop with a ginormous selection and knowledgeable staff, be sure to swing by and check them out! Just be aware of the pricing- that is the only drawback. read more

Horrible person working I'm 27 years old I come here to this store whenever I come into the city. Indian guy opening thought my ID was fake because it has like an imprint on it. I've never seen the imprint on my license until I have it too him but it's real. I've used it at multiple dispensaries and liquor stores within past two weeks. Not sure what his problem is but he was very rude. I'm married and own a house. Why the fuck would I be not old enough to enter shop. Taking my business elsewhere. read more

The girl on the phone was really rude to me and didn't explain the process of a delivery order correctly. She told me I had to text my credit card number to them and that it was "basically really safe". $10 delivery fee as well. These guys seem to push as much money as they can out of you. ‍ if you smoke woods, I don't even have to say anything. But if you don't, these papers are hard as rock, so hard most of them crumbled before I could get out of pack. This shop used to be great, major fall off since early summer. I've done my best to stay a customer as I used to shop here everyday after work because it's super convenient to me, but between the employees, now the product... couldn't bite my tongue. I live in the neighborhood and 50% of the time I go to the smoke shop when it's supposed to be open, it's closed. The open sign is on and all the lights are on but the doors locked and no one is in there so if you're looking for a reliable smoke shop, I would not recommend this one. read more

I stopped by City Smoke on a Saturday afternoon - simply browsing for CBD products. As my girlfriend and I entered the shop, we were greeted by two friendly employees, Evan & Sarah. Evan thoroughly explained the stores's selection of CBD smokeable joints and I left the shop with a fantastic pack of 20 pre-rolled CBD joints which only cost me $20!! Evan and Sarah were a pleasure to interact with. Their fantastic service instantly made City Smoke my go to head shop for my CBD needs. Can't thank them enough read more
