They are THEIVES. I took my car for a fuel pump and left my prescribed schedule c narcotic for my broken back in the middle covered arm rest. When I went to pick up it was stolen. So not only did they steal, now they will sell making them drug dealers. So don't go!!! Ever!!! I have gone for 10 years and that's how this works! Untrustworthy!!! Very basic services like oil changes and minor car repair or tune-ups. They won't have the latest equipment so late model cars will be turned away. If you have a clunker or car older that 10 years old, this is the place for you. Cash price will be better than credit card charge, ask for an estimate first. Get someone for drop-off or pickup, or go get some grocery shopping done while you wait, their waiting area is very very limited. read more

Highly recommend going here if you ever have a flat! They fix it within minutes of you pulling up and I couldn't have better things to say about the cost! I was shocked by how inexpensive my visit was to have 3 flat tires fixed (work on a construction site with lots of loose screws and nails all over). Lastly, the place I went before City Tires was a bigger brand named tire shop that made me wait 8hrs just to give me a call saying all 3 tires that need flat repairs have punctures that are too close to the sidewall of the tire and that they will not fix it do to liability concerns and recommend you buying new tires (even though the current tires have 75% of life left in them before they need to be replaced). read more

I've used City Tires (next door to the Dallas Diner on NW Highway) several times for small services such as airing up tires, fixing flats, etc and never had a problem. One of my cars is a very aggressive Italian sports car that is extremely finicky about tire pressure, and I got a low pressure warning for the left front. I stopped by City Tire to get it fixed, told the gentleman that the correct pressure was 26PSI in the front and 28PSI in the rear. Then I stepped back and let him work. When he was done, I paid him and gave him a tip as always. I fired up the car and now had pressure warnings on all four tires. Gentleman told me he put 40PSI in all the way around because he felt that what I recommended was too low. I pointed out the factory applied tire pressure sticker that was on the door jamb and that it was dangerous to drive that particular car, with those particular P-Zero tires at that pressure. He basically told me to F off, that he didn't have time to do it right. I took it home and aired it up myself. So...make up your own mind whether you want to spend your money here. read more

These folks are so wonderful! I'm new to the neighborhood and got a nail in my tire--heard it leaking and rushed to the closest place possible in hopes I could get help before it deflated. City Tires was mere blocks away and thus very convenient. But they're so much more than convenient to those of us in Lake Highlands! These gentlemen dropped what they were doing to assist me. They patched the tire promptly and did a fantastic job. I recently hit a curb in a cramped parking garage and ripped a chunk out of the sidewall of my tire. After a couple of weeks, the steering wheel began to "walk" back and forth across the road from 0-40 mph, signifying a separation of the tire. I called a few local front end shops & tire shops, not having much luck with many, and getting the run around with others. I have a "sport" suspension with 19" rims, which pretty much translates to: expensive and harder to find tires. I called City Tire around 9:30 on a Saturday morning, and was promised my tires by noon. I received a call at 10:30 saying my tires had arrived at the shop and that I could bring my car in. I was given a complete price quote (taxes & installation) over the phone. I brought it in at 11:15, received quick and immediate service (they didn't damage my rims like some other companies I've recently dealt with), and now I sit here on my couch at noon writing a Yelp review about my awesome experience. read more

This place saved me last week. My little car, with pricey hard to find tires let me know. They were literally right around the corner! I called and they came over to help... not part of their actual services. Dismayed at my predicament with hard to find tires... they managed to put something on and have me rolling in no time. It was service I didn't actually expect... not upscale offer you coffee service that costs more... no, guy in the dirty mechanic shirt runs to the rescue without robbing you blind service. They do Texas inspections too, when I need that done, I'll be going here. They weren't even on Yelp... I added them! Now you can find them and know they provide great service! read more

On 04/17/21 at 2:43am got a charge on my American Express credit card for $2.95 that I did not authorize. Today 04/23/21at 1:39am got a charge on my MasterCard for $13.09 that I didn't authorize. This place is my go-to for most anything I need done on my car! They are honest, hard working, and a great value. Don't expect a pristine lobby or all name brand products, but they are the best for my older car. I get all my oil changed done here, along with tire rotations. I've used City Tires for the past few years for all of my tire and inspection needs and have always been happy with their professional service and timeliness. I recently discovered that they have added a full service mechanic so I took my really old Suburban in for a quote on service. WOW!! They blew away all other quotes I had received for repairing my rear main seal and took care of it in less than 4 hours! I even received several calls that afternoon updating me on progress and offering other recommended repairs that were crucial (like brakes that were metal on metal, ugh) These guys our honest and will only suggest what you need to run safely and are very reasonable with their prices.
