I ordered the egg sandwich and unfortunately it was not good. The sandwich was small, not filled fully, and definitely didn't feel worth the price. When I ordered, the lady asked if I wanted everything in it and I said yes, but then she kept repeating "Are you sure you want the sprouts?" several times. I'm not sure why she kept asking, and I kept saying yes. When I looked at the menu behind me, the sandwich was listed at $8, but I was charged $10. For such a small sandwich, that extra cost made it feel even more disappointing. Sadly, between the size, quality, and price, I will not be going back.

I love the Yelp community precisely for this reason. I have driven by the complex CJ Deli is located for many years but have never seen it because it's pretty inconspicuous. I wouldn't have found it if it weren't for the great reviews I stumbled upon. I was craving a really good sandwich when it was raining last week, and decided to visit CJ Deli since it's nearby. I ordered a regular veggie sandwich on squaw bread with no cucumbers, a chicken and rice soup, and bottled water. The sandwich was spectacular. It tasted like real food. Nothing that's been frozen or has been sitting out for a while. It was all very fresh and tasty. I also appreciated that there was a bit of egg in the sandwich. I haven't come across a place that makes their veggie sandwich this way. The soup also tasted like it was made fresh for the day and nothing overly salty. They have hot sauce and other condiments at a table near where you pay. The staff were so sweet and they prepared everything so quickly. Inside was very clean and organized.

First time here for breakfast! Spoiler: It's as good as it is at lunch time! :) Service: Great, as always! Ambiance: Clean and friendly, as always! Ok, on to the important part! The burrito is a decent size, not mega, but not small either - this is perfect as the ingredients are all top notch! I ordered a ham and bacon, and there was plenty of both in the burrito along with some potato and some perfectly cooked egg - not overly scrambled like many places do, there was just the tiniest bit of running yolk in it which honestly added to it! The ham and bacon were both flavorful, and it was properly seasoned with a side of salsa. Honestly, give it a try, I thought it was great, and I bet you will also! :)

It's hard to believe a small place like this can pack such a giant punch! Our sandwiches & breakfast burrito were well-made & delicious! We ordered the Bacon & Egg Breakfast Burrito, Cold Sandwich Tuna on Rye & Specialty Sandwich Club on a French roll. So fresh, so generous & so good! The menu selection is vast with Hot & Cold sandwiches, salads, soups, teriyaki etc. You could eat here for a year & not have the same thing twice. Take your time to look over the menu as there's a lot to see. There are some tables if you'd like to stay & eat but they do a bustling Take - Out business as well. Very friendly service & pretty fast too but the meal doesn't looked rushed or slapped together. It's made with pride. The very definition of hole in the wall but that's the charm.

Local gem in an otherwise unassuming strip mall, CJ Deli offers sandwiches, quesadillas, breakfast burritos, and teriyaki bowls. Fast serving, friendly people, very popular as a lunch or to-go stop. The breakfast burritos and teriyaki bowls are cooked fresh and served hotter than the sun. It makes it taste right off the grill but beware of burning yourself. Sandwiches are also fresh and packed with ingredients. Prices are also very reasonable and no wonder it's so popular around here.

Razor thin roast beef, none in the sandwich end. Not worth anywhere near $10.75.

First time customers. We live here and pass by CJ's all the time. Our visit started with weird vibes from the woman taking the order. Then I saw her overcharge me on 2 sandwiches. $10.95 instead of $10.75 each. She didn't give me, or offer to give me a receipt!! What the hell? So....I did the math including tax just to make sure. The owner showed up while I was figuring this out, and I asked him if prices shown were current. He replied yes, then re-added up my order to check the total on the register. He ALSO rang up $10.95 each for the $10.75 sandwiches. That was shady twice in a row. I corrected him and then he happily refunded the difference. Meanwhile the lady was busy making our sandwiches and I hoped she wouldn't make them shitty since I called her out on the overcharge. (She never acknowledged or apologized for overcharging us.) A couple minutes later the owner handed us our order and we went home. The BLT was okay. The Hero had didn't have much meat, and was hugely underwhelming overall. My sandwich was the Roast Beef, which I personally felt was incredibly stingy on meat, with just a couple very thin strips in some places on one half, and none towards the end of the bread in the other. I've never had such a pathetic excuse for a roast beef sandwich. I felt as if the entire sandwich had maybe 3 oz of meat on it. On a scale of 0 to 10: Food - Portion sizes were very stingy for the price paid. Score is a 2 out of 10 Service: Wasnt a fan of getting overcharged and the weird awkward, unwelcoming vibes. Score is a 1 out of 10 Quality of ingredients: 7 out of 10 Value for price paid: 2 out of 10 Overall experience: Uncomfortable and awkwardly tense. 0 out of 10 A quick edit after I was finished: I just looked at the Yelp pictures. The food in the pics section looks better than anything we got. I wish I had something nice to say here but I don't. Thank you.

A friend recommended CJ Deli the last time I was in town. I've been running around all day- and was starving today, thankfully I remembered the tip of CJ Deli. I did a quick yelp search to make sure they were open and to check the menu. Yes- they are open, and the food sounded great. My friend and I picked up 2 sandwiches for lunch for takeaway. She had the Natural sandwich and I had the vegetarian. The natural comes with 2 kinds of cheese- American and Swiss. My friend said she didn't want the Swiss, they offered her an extra slice of American cheese. We got the small sandwiches- still plenty big. We each still have 1/2 to enjoy later. The vegetarian is really good- I loved the flavors. The bread was so yummy. It's nice and soft- tasted homemade. The sandwich has sprouts, egg, cucumber, and avocado. They also have free add ons onions, pickles, and jalapeños The restaurant was very clean, staff was very friendly and efficient. Plenty of parking available as well. They are now open for dine in as well as offer takeout read more

The best sandwich deli i've ever tried, being a firm believer in subway. The sandwiches are stuffed full of fresh ingredients, and their special recipes are the perfect pairing. I tried the vegetarian sandwich; i'd recommend removing mayo and adding another sauce since the avocado and egg does well on its own creating a rich flavor. You're able to add free toppings from a list, including olives, pepperoni, onions, jalepenos, etc. There's also a combo option for 1/2 sandwich with soup or salad for 7.50 or less, which puts the panera bread pick two to shame. The value for the price is amazing, and I'm definitely becoming a regular. I would say during corona it's a little hectic in store, and I'd recommend calling ahead to place an order rather than ordering in person. read more

I've tried a few different items from this place: tuna salad sandwich, the trilogy, and the combo teriyaki bowl. All have been flavorful, balanced, and presented/packaged clean. No matter how busy they are, their food doesn't come out a mess or too dry or too little meat - consistently delicious. I haven't eaten inside the place itself so can't comment on the inside. I will say that it does get busy so calling ahead to place your order will save you some time. Once I called to place a take out order, and it was during lunch hour, so nobody picked up. Maybe 15 min later, they called me back because they saw they missed my call. Never had service like that at any other food establishment. Love it. I appreciate it. Will continue to go. I highly recommend the turkey bacon avocado (trilogy) on squaw bread. read more

Ever siNce they sold this place has fallen apart ! Wow , wish the old owners were there! They got my easy sandwich wrong and I called to tell them to refund me cuz I was already home. New owner Lady called me back and yelled at me saying I was a liar and wanted to see the sandwich for proof, wow. (I guess I'm making things up) After 15 years I will NOT return ! Period! This unassuming sandwich shop is on the corner of a tiny strip mall with a Subway which should make things real simple if you've come looking for a sandwich because you can skip the Subway and go straight to CJ Deli! The place is narrow and small, the menu is simple and straightforward, the service is friendly and fast. I was craving a simple tuna on squaw which is harder to find than it should be, and luckily I was in the area so I stopped by. I ordered a large and boy do they mean large - it's basically 1.5 sandwiches. For $8 you get an entire paper bag amount of sandwich. I was sharing with my kid so he ate the .5 and I ate the 1! It was fresh and light and everything I wanted out of a simple tuna on squaw. Their tuna mix doesn't have huge chunks of pickles, and the whole sandwich is almost on the bland side which makes it that much more perfect paired with salty kettle chips. I guess the only downside is their hours - 8a-5p and they're closed on weekends but that's pretty standard for these mom and pop sandwich shops, and I don't begrudge them for having lives. If you work/live and work from home around here I highly recommend grabbing a quick lunch from here, and then get Bruster's or Dairy Queen for dessert that are located in adjacent strip malls and within walking distance. read more

I came in really craving a fresh sandwich and I saw the menu and didn't know where to start. I was told that the entire menu was "good". I feel that was an understatement. I ordered the "Turkado" and "Tuna" sandwich and they both were delicious! The meat was fantastic and fresh! The avocado was perfectly fresh and the tuna sandwich was amazing. Gotta support my local mom & pop shops. I love this place...sandwiches here are quality! I usually get the #2 or #3. Their chicken salad SLAPS!! And they add sprouts and cucumbers - it's delish & refreshing. I usually get the large (it's 1.5 sandwiches) and get 2 meals out of it. I eat here at least 1x/week. Owners are so nice. 10/10 would recommend! read more

I'm not big on subway. So when I get subs I try to find something else. Not firehouse or Togo either. So I searched and found CJs. I was craving a traditional French roll sub. A hot sub to be specific. I didn't go with my husband but he had my order. He said the store has two ladies and a younger man. All were extremely nice and the young man was very eager to make his order. My husband tried the submarine and loved it. Kept raving about how good the bread was. I got the hot steak and cheese. It was FULL of meat. The bread was perfect. Soft but has weight so the sub didn't fall apart. Both of us scared the entire large sub down. For both it was about $25. I would rather eat a large sub from CJs than typical drive through deep fried food. Sure glad I found this place. Sorry no pics this time. read more

This spot makes a KILLER sandwich. They do not skimp on the ingredients, and everything is super fresh. The bread is also very fresh and one of the few places that offers a good squaw bread! The sandwiches are big and filling. The teriyaki bowls are very good too, white meat chicken and vegetables steamed but not soggy. Be sure to call ahead if it's lunch time on a weekday because they get busy, this is a local favorite! I eat here often. My favorites are the Deli K'Sea - (tuna) & The Trilogy - (turkey, bacon & avo) Egg Salad - simple and done well The pricing is super fair for the quality and size. Service is wonderful. Clearly family owned and operated. Located on a busy corner of an intersection, easy to find. read more

CJ Deli is a small hole in the wall sandwich place with amazing offerings. This place has been on my bookmarks list for a really long time, and I finally got around to trying it. They have a big selection of classic sandwiches, with plenty of vegetarian options as well. You wait in line to order, and you can either get your food to go, or there are also tables inside for eating. The big thing to remember about this place is that they're closed on the weekends, so you have to come on Monday through Fridays before 4:30pm. I ordered the large vegetarian sandwich and wow is had a whole lot of cheese, lettuce, tomato, avocado, sprouts, sunflower seeds, and other deliciousness that I wasn't sure of. I got it on a roll, but they have various other types of bread if that's not your thing. For being a vegetarian sandwich, it was super filling, and I couldn't finish it! I had to eat the other half later that day. Luckily, it was still amazingly fresh, so I was really happy about that. I'll definitely be back for a quick weekday lunchtime sandwich, and as a creature of habit, I'll probably order the exact same thing. However, they do have other vegetarian and non-vegetarian options, so it really does seem like there's something here for everyone. read more

I wasn't a fan of sandwiches before! Every time it would be suggested for lunch I would opt out so that I can order a rice dish however CJs Deli has changed that for me. I'm always craving the Californian! The bread is just perfect and the sandwich is well made. Service is nice but because it's quite popular during lunch hour be prepared to wait a bit although the service is never too slow! read more

Finally! I have been looking around for an awesome little deli spot! I drive be here frequently and honestly, from the outside appearance, I would not think to stop here. After planning a lunch for the family where I needed to do a sandwich pick-up, I checked Yelp and came across CJ Deli. I saw the location on the map and kept scrolling, but then came back to it and checked the reviews after not being impressed by some of the other suggestions. I had to give it a shot! I was pleasantly surprised! Now my favorite go-to for a great sandwich! I ordered the Turkado and Californian. Both were full of meat and VERY tasty! My wife even commented how these were just like sandwiches we would make at home! The staff was very friendly and the inside was clean and welcoming! I can't wait to try out some of the other sandwiches, salads and breakfast burritos! read more

The noodles had a great chewy and bouncy texture and were coated in a savory spicy sesame sauce with just the right amount of spice. I liked that the flavors were bold without being overwhelming, and I found myself continuing to go back for more throughout the meal. Braised Beef Noodle Soup. As someone who loves soup dishes, this immediately stood out to me. The broth was rich and comforting, and the braised beef was tender and packed with flavor. The Spare Ribs with Mashed Garlic had a bold garlic flavor that paired well with the tender pork. If you're a garlic lover, this is definitely worth ordering. The meat was very bony so make sure to be careful! The garlic added a lot of flavor without completely overpowering the meat. The Shrimp Fried Rice was a solid side dish that complemented everything else we ordered. The rice had a nice wok flavor, wasn't greasy, and came with a generous amount of shrimp. A surprising must order was the Cucumber Salad which was light, refreshing, and crunchy. Lot of the other foods were on the oily end, so having a refreshing cucumber salad definitely hit the spot. Staff: All of the staff members were friendly! They were very knowledgeable about each of the menu items. Ambiance: Indoor and outdoor seating available. A good amount of parking in the parking lot that is shared with other shops in the plaza.

I decided to give this place a try after seeing great reviews on Yelp and Google, and I'm really glad I did. I ordered the chicken teriyaki plate and a soup, and both were very delicious. The chicken teriyaki was tender and juicy, and the sauce was perfectly balanced--not too sweet. The plate also came with a salad and fruit, and I appreciated the fresh, juicy grapes and the perfectly ripe watermelon. I also liked the salad dressing! As for the soup, I think it was chicken noodle soup. Normally, I'm not a fan of a chicken noodle type of soup, but I found this one incredibly flavorful. The broth was hearty and well-seasoned. I'm pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food for this price. I will definitely visit again! read more

The two workers at CJ Deli are very nice and friendly, so it is simple to have a conversation with them. Also, the sandwiches are amazing! There are so many different types of sandwiches you can buy at this small restaurant, and they are all amazing. I've never tried all of them, but I've tried about at least 10. It is never crowded here, so you can sometimes just go and order right away and get your food right away with their great service. I would really recommend this restaurant for anyone that is looking for a place to go out and eat. read more
