Service was super slow this day. We came in right when they opened and we were the only customers but it took 30 minutes for our order to come out. I got the tan tan men and it was just okay. Nothing special. The broth was a little over salted and for taking so long i dont think my noodles were cooked all the way, they were still stuck together. Ill have to try their other Ramen more later in the day during another visit

We enjoyed our takeout order this evening. Our order was called in to a very friendly employee. She repeated the order over the phone and indicated when it would be ready. We were greeted by a friendly employee. She proceeded to help patrons on her way back to the kitchen. Our food was ready as promised. Nicely packaged and was still hot when we got home. Best of all the portion of food was plentiful and very tasty! The yelp menus online were very dated. I captured updated menu images and posted.

Everything there is so tasty and fresh! The service is fantastic too! Mary is so accommodating!

Freshly made Genmai green tea just for us.

What to do when having dark and gloomy days? We decided to come to our favorite Edokko Japanese restaurant for lunch. It sits in Pocket area in Sacramento. It is small but very cozy place and has hundred of tasty Japanese comfort foods. We have been coming here over 30 years since our kids were little. It's the best and probably only one Machi Chūka style restaurant in Northern California. And the prices are very reasonable.

Yes. They are open inside! I have now been coming here for 30 (yes, thirty) years and in my opinion they are even BETTER than ever. Everything is fresh and flavorful and served hot and the food quality has continued to improve, even though I really didn't think it could get any better. The service is outstanding (shout out to Ben!!)

Kado Asian Fusion has been on my list to try for a while. I've been following them on social media…read moreand have read the reviews on Yelp and was so excited to finally try it out. The restaurant is super cute and has indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor seating is covered and shaded which is perfect for warmer Sacramento months. They have a variety of menu items including a build your own bowl opton, tacos, nachos, sandwiches, loaded fries, musubi and an udon special. I ended up ordering the Umami Udon with special chicken as my protein ($13.50), a Build Your Own Bowl with fried rice, katsu chicken, the triple katsu sauce, and stir fried veggies with "The Works" ($16.50), and Musubi ($8.75). The staff was super friendly and helped me make some decisions for my order and recommended the umami udon special, which I'm so happy about. The food was made fresh and took a little bit, but was packed with care and was nice and hot. I took it home to enjoy and the food was still hot and the portion sizes were really generous. The Umami Udon was amazing, it had perfectly cooked udon noodles that had a great chew in a creamy teriyaki sauce with smokey bacon, mushrooms, onions and garlic. It was a great mix of sweet and savory and lived up to it's umami name. I would order this again and again, it was so good. The Build Your Own bowl was also delicious and I can see why the chicken katsu is a customer favorite. The veggies were fresh and the fried rice was really flavorful. The Spam Musubi had thick slices of spam with a nice marinade and came with sauces for dipping. I'll definitely be back again soon, and while I want to explore more of the menu the umami udon is happening again!

Kado Asian Fusion is located on Broadway and cater to the lunch/dinner crowds. They are open from 12-8pm every day except Sundays. The inside was clean and had a decent amount of tables. We ordered at the counter and then sat at a table while we waited for our food to go. They offer bowls, tacos, nachos, rolls and sandwiches! I don't always know what to order at new places - so I liked that they had signs for specials as well as "favorites." We ordered the Rice with Teriyaki Chicken, Oliver's Favorite which was Spam Musubi and Spam and Bacon Fried Rice and Mom and Dad's Forbidden Feast. Everything looked and tasted really good! Obviously, it would have been much better had we actually eaten in the restaurant, but still no complaints once we got it home. Spam Musubi is one of my favorite things to eat so I could have downed like 5 of them! Portions were huge too - they even have a 100 year old teriyaki recipe! Overall, I would definitely come back and try other items! Staff were also very friendly, personable and gave great recommendations! Check them out!

They even have a second dining room just past the kitchen. We came here for lunch after a really hot day checking out Sac Zoo. We always love Japanese food when needing low fat but high protein and moderate carb meals. The food was excellent, and with generous portions: 1. Plain Sunomono - Is nothing but plain. Sliced cold cucumbers in a sweet vinegary sauce served in a huge martini glass. Super refreshing on a hot day and excellent shareable appetizer. (5 stars) 2. Kid's teriyaki meal are designed for under-7 kids but could have easily fed a teen. Generous amount of moist, juicy chicken breast slices, cup of crunchy salad with Asian sesame creamy dressing, huge bowl of rice, and lots of tempura (2 shrimp, one brocolli, and a sweet potato). (5 stars) 3. Sushi Moriwase B was 10 pieces of chef-selected nigiri. Not bad - rice was well seasoned and soft, generally very fresh fish. I'm less a fan of imitation crab and was surprised to see tamago - but hey, protein is protein. (4 stars) 4. Some dishes were on the saltier however, such as the free miso soup and soba noodles - the large comb one with chicken, mushrooms, veggies, and a separate dipping sauce. Definitely recommend Akebono. It was pretty empty when we arrived but during our meal more families and customers began filling in. Guess they need all the space after all!

No long wait, no chaos. Even better, I arrived before my friend, and they kindly let me sit at the table and wait for her comfortably. That level of hospitality immediately stood out. Now let's talk about the menu because they truly cater to everyone: * Plenty of vegetarian options * Chicken broth ramen for those who prefer it * Rich, flavorful pork broth ramen for traditional ramen lovers It's refreshing to see a ramen spot that offers variety without compromising on authenticity. And the broth... wow. That first spoonful of warm ramen broth feels like a hug. It's rich, deeply savory, and perfectly balanced not too salty, not too heavy. The kind of warmth that fills your soul and makes you slow down and savor every bite. You can taste the care and time that goes into it. The noodles were cooked perfectly springy, fresh, and satisfying and the toppings were generous and high quality. We also ordered the chicken pancakes, and they were such a pleasant surprise! Crispy on the outside, tender inside, and packed with flavor. They paired beautifully with the ramen and made the meal feel complete. The customer service was friendly and welcoming throughout. Our food came out fast (which is impressive on a busy Saturday), and the staff was attentive without hovering. Everything felt smooth and efficient. Overall, the vibe is cozy, comforting, and inviting perfect for: * A casual lunch * A ramen date * Catching up with friends * Or just treating yourself Between the quick seating, thoughtful service, diverse options, and that soul-warming broth, Ramen House Tenjin absolutely delivers.
