We were in Atlantic City with friends and they were raving about this restaurant. They have pancakes so we took the drive across the bridge and I must say it's a really interesting little restaurant not many tables but they have delicious pancakes. We had the oatmeal pancakes you get three pancakes for $14. You can't beat that price. They also had cinnamon bun pancakes. They said they were delicious and also banana mania which was also delicious and the coffee three dollars a cup. Wow this is a gem out-of-the-way but worth the drive if you're in the area or if you feel like taking a little drive on your way either to Atlantic City, New Jersey or from Atlantic City going towards Atlantic City New Jersey, it's definitely worth the stop indoor outdoor seating and counter seating but as I stated earlier, not a lot of seating no reservations we had to wait about 15 minutes. The service was excellent very personable young waitress who seemed really happy to be working there full of energy and full oven enthusiasm

I've reviewed CJ's before, and always favorably! As I still feel it's an amazing place to grab breakfast or lunch and I live that they're open til 4! For those late risers who crave breakfast later in the day. I wanted to focus this review on the staff! Cheers to them! I watch them hustle & throughout their day, move from one job or table to the next. Delivering platefuls of food & beverages always w: a smile. Very pleasant atmosphere indeed!! Whomever is in charge of hiring, hats off to you & the managers who train the staff ... you're really good at your job too! Hats off to all the people who make CJ's such a pleasant experience & why we keep coming back week after week! The servers, the kitchen staff and all the workers who make it fun & tasty to visit CJ's!

Been here a few times, service is always great, coffee is hot, food is delicious!! Got the Yellowstone Omelette from the special's menu and boy oh boy was it good!!! Friendly, kind staff and food was quick to the table!

We were looking for a place for lunch on Sunday when our original place decided to close. Found this on Yelp, and the reviews were good and the menu looked great! Service was excellent, and my partner's roast beef sandwich was good. The accompanying chips were not. My salad (CJs salad) was ok, but the balsamic vinaigrette dressing was completely separated, and I couldn't pour it on my salad unless I wanted all oil. (Yes, I know salad dressings separate, so all they had to do was shake up the bottle and pour it right before bringing it out.) I had to ask for just balsamic vinegar so I could at least have something on my salad besides oil. Service was good, and it seemed like a popular place. Perhaps salads aren't their strong points, but we likely won't come back to find out.

Thanks to Yelp, I found CJ's corner while spending the weekend down the shore. Anytime there's an extensive list of Bennies, I'M IN! I'll admit, I won't feel great later due to the amounts of gluten we ordered, but these breakfast treats were too good to pass up. I got the Tuscan Bennie which was topped with a well cooked poached egg, prosciutto, spinach, and roasted red peppers with a classic hollandaise piled high on an English muffin. Oh, so good! Loved the subtle smokiness from the prosciutto and the extra tang from the roasted red peppers. The breakfast potatoes (sliced like chips) that came with both bennies were decent, too! My bf went for the Longport Bennie. Croissant on the bottom, a perfect poached egg, smoked salmon, goat cheese, chives and hollandaise. He wolfed it down. I'm not a goat cheese or smoked salmon fan, so I passed on a bite, but I'll take his word that it was good. Since we've ventured on this gluten binge together, we had to get the almond joy pancakes. Yum! To fully get the almond joy flavor, they could have used more of the chocolate/almond/coconut fixings but they were still tasty. On the side we got the Turkey bacon, which was a bit undercooked but edible. A great first impression of the restaurant. We hope to return to try other parts of the menu in the future.

I've been coming to CJ's since I was a little girl and I have always loved it! I'm not a breakfast person but I crave their food!!! The restaurant itself is a bit small so it tends to fill up, but if you get there early enough, there shouldn't be an issue with getting a seat. The waitresses are all very attentive and kind. I highly recommend CJ's; I've never had a bad experience!

Had given up on finding a good breakfast spot in this area and someone suggested this place . The staff was super friendly and helpful . The food was pretty good and we enjoyed our breakfast . This was the best breakfast we had during this entire vacation. I highly recommend this place . Clean restaurant , good food and friendly staff. read more

I have been to Cj's twice. The space is small but very cozy and welcoming. The staff is attentive and very friendly. The first time I went I ordered the bananas foster French toast, it was SO good! The second time was just as delicious, saracha sausage goat cheese omelet . I have had trouble finding a good breakfast spot and this is by far the best spot, well worth the 12 minute drive from Margate. read more

This is our favorite breakfast/lunch place down at the shore. I can honestly say, honestly that we have ever had a bad experience here...Never! The staff is really nice and the atmosphere is very relaxed, exactly what a shore shop should be. Don't expect to e greeted by a Maitre De. you see an open spot, grab it. If not someone will make there way to you. They are busy for a reason.... The food is Outstanding and creative. As for value I can't think of any better value from Atlantic city to Stone Harbor. My wife is angry that I am writing this review as we like it as our little secret. Well angry is relative, she is worried as she loves the place too. read more

Five stars for ALYSSA - she was our waitress this morning and made our brunch outing incredible. The menu is enormous and the food is delicious, but it's worth going to CJ's just to experience her amazing attitude and super-friendly service. I will be back next time I'm in town for sure! read more

Had breakfast here and was very impressed with the service and food was excellent. I had a Italian Market omelet (forget what it was called) which had broccoli rabe, spicy sausage and provolone cheese. I will definitely come again. Coffee is served in a large nice ceramic cup. That's a bit of an exaggeration, and if not, you must not get out of suburbia all that often because the world isn't generally made up of lollipops, sunshine and steam cleaned gold plated roads and sidewalks. read more

***FINAL UPDATE*** I brought my family back to CJ's today. They were very busy, but that is to be expected on a Sunday. We were greeted at the door and informed that there would be a short wait. Our wait was no more than 10 minutes. My kids split the puffed french toast (a funnel cake batter fried challah french toast), my mother in law got a side of scrapple, and I ordered the Southwest Hotcakes (black bean/ corn pancakes topped with an over easy egg, cheese, onions, salsa verde, and avocado). The food came out very quickly considering the full house. The portions were quite large and the food was beautifully plated. My son stated that "the french toast was decedent" (he's 9). My daughter simply stated that "food is the best thing ever" (she's 6). Together they nearly cleaned their plates. My mother in law devoured her scrapple and stated that "it taste's just like grandma's". CJ's deep fries their scrapple to give it an extra crispy outside while keeping the inside moist with scrapply goodness. My hotcakes were an fantastic combination of flavors. I can honestly say I have never had anything quite like it. The egg was closer to over medium but nothing worth batting an eye over. (Did I mention they were slammed?). If I could have eaten more I would have, instead I brought it home. The kids insisted that we bring their leftovers home so their father could try it. This combine with the good service, frequent drink refills, and a menu that I am in love with will make CJ's a go to in our restaurant line-up. I am very happy that the owners of CJ's convinced me to give them another shot. read more

There's a nominal fee (less than $8) to split the meal, but totally worth it because each diner receives a crab cake (which is rather large and made with real crab meat) along with an ample serving of the two sides that come with the meal. (We chose the mixed vegetables and roasted potatoes which were cooked perfectly. The veggies were crisp but not hard and the potatoes were soft but not mushy.) Overall, 10 out of 10! (And we look forward to visiting again soon.)

The potatoes had that distinct, rubbery, thermonuclear glow that can only be achieved by a 4-minute-and-30-second ride in a 1990s Breakroom Microwave. Meanwhile, the green beans were on the exact opposite end of the thermal spectrum--shockingly hard, unseasoned, and literally ice-cold, as if they had just been excavated from a permafrost glacier in Siberia. The service was fine, but I won't be back for the food. Absolutely gross. My stomach may never forgive me.

I asked if we could get menus for the table and she sent over our server. He was great. He took our order quickly and came back often to the table to see if we wanted anything else. When I read the menu before coming I knew I really wanted to try the tacos. Between my wife and I we got to try 4 types: - Tuna: This was delicious. One of the best tuna tacos I've ever had. They used a nice strip of good tuna meat and seared it with a nice spice blend. - Mahi Mahi (grilled), Mushroom, Shrimp (fried): all were very good The only reason for only four stars was the price for the tacos. Compared to other restaurants that sell tacos they run roughly a dollar more than most establishments. However the quality of the tuna in my opinion does justify the higher price.

I started with a large bowl of Maryland crab soup. It was excellent slightly spicy. Next up the crab cake sandwich. It came with fries and a pickle and was delicious. My wife had the Jersey broiled scallops with green beans and a squash dish. Absolutely fabulous. Old school Jersey shore seafood restaurant and it does not disappoint. This is now on my go to list

First let me start by saying WOW!! We walked in and there were only two places to sit. One table and the counter. Good sign. We opted for the counter where there is a 42" flatscreen for our football pleasure. Alissa, the counter ambassador is delightful. She sold me on the Pumkin bread French toast. It could've been the worst French toast ever but the way she sold it to me, my brain told my palette to love it. Who decided to make Pumkin cream cheese to spread on the French toast??!! It must've been that genius of a chef with no hair and blue eyes that greeted us so graciously. It was life changing! Let me add that the fried potatoes were simple but addicting. The chicken that's in the back laying our eggs must be exhausted from producing such perfectly yellow eggs. Good grief!!!...CJ's has totally pimped my palette! read more

Another awesome meal at CJ's. I had the beachy peachy cornbread waffle which was fantastic. My mom had her usual cronut which never disappoints. We tried the new POG juice which was delicious. Kaylee was our server and was super polite and attentive. It was raining so there was no outside seating but the staff did a great job accommodating everyone. I of course forgot to take a picture before I dug into my meal but from what you can see it's pretty delicious looking! read more

I just read the review above this and cant believe we are talking about the same place! I work at shore Memorial and eat at cjs all the time. So do alot of my co-workers. We have never thought cjs was dirty by any means, quite the opposite infact. All the food is cooked in plain sight. I am going to let the owners know that this review is here so they cant respond to it. this just doesnt seem right. We love CJs! read more

Excellent breakfast place! I had the Eggs Benedict and cup of coffee there yesterday. Its a good start of the day. I'm very much satisfied with the food I ordered.
