2 banana bread lattes & peanut butter cup latte Bacon breakfast burrito
    Ramona A.

I love a fast drive thru service and it's rare to have one for coffee in San Diego. I found this hidden gem after my Pilates class and I was intrigued at the unique menu. I got the banana bread latte and bacon burrito. The latte was a bit strong for my liking and lacked the banana flavor. However, the burrito was good with the salsa! I'd go back to try their matcha for sure. Also they do military! So that's a plus IG: rs.albright TikTok: m.Albright

While on a recent trip to San diego, I stopped by this recommended coffee spot on my way to see a friend. When I travel I try to avoid going to the chain coffee establishments and do a chance to the local small businesses in my morning coffee fix. Lazy Eye Coffee has a couple of locations with this one is a very humble setup and the parking lot of a small plaza in the Claremont neighborhood of San Diego This one offers both drive through and walk up options order coffee. Is quite a busy morning so there was a bit of a way since there was only one person working. The staff member was very friendly and despite being overwhelmed with a bunch of orders, she remained calm and was able to get all of our orders as fast as possible I ordered an iced banana bread coffee and it was delicious. Definitely must order if you could stop by this spot. There's plenty of parking since it's in a plaza but if you're going on the weekend expect to wait a little bit but it's definitely worth it.

Wife was in need of coffee desperately. She wanted the shop to be in the Claremont Mesa area and desired a banana bread latte. Lazy Eye Coffee to the rescue! In BayHo(wife was like "where the hell are we going?!?") and next to Chef Jun which is becoming our favorite sushi spot. Lazy Eye Coffee has a lil shack in the middle of the parking lot and moved pretty quickly for how busy it was. Wife said the latte was good, but couldn't really taste the banana bread. She was definitely happy to have some caffeine running through her system. Phew!

Super cute coffee shop sweet lady who owns it/was helping us! The vanilla bean latte was delish highly rec!

    Agave cinnamon latte

Agave cinnamon latte, great rich taste, not too sweet. Cinnamon roll, throw it in the microwave for 10 secs and it's delicious. So gooey and soft.

Ok... the wait is worth it! We chose the drive through and was wondering why it takes a bit but.... It's worth it. Amanda is so kind and charming. We were just going to get a plain Americano and a cold brew. But she explained to us that all the sweeteners are house made. We chose Banana Bread Latte and Vanilla Lavender latte. You guys... these are DELICIOUS. I need to chug my water bc I will chug this whole cup in 2 minutes. It's so good. We're from LA. But next time we're down here we will definitely make a quick stop again. Thank you so much Amanda and Lazy Eye for changing our lives with your amazing coffee!

The barista was super sweet despite it being busy at the drive thru and window! I appreciated her starting a conversation and being present through the chaos. I got the iced banana bread latte, very tasty and on the sweeter side, I also got the bacon burrito that was honestly very filling and came with salsa! Always a nice spot to stop when I am in the area :)

This small little drive through coffee shop is the coolest thing I've seen! I love it. The customer service is great and they're very helpful. The pastries were fresh and so was the coffee. I ordered a vanilla lavender latte and it was delicious.

Visited this coffee shop after a morning workout. I had the vanilla latte and a sausage burrito which were both great. The barista was very friendly!

Came here to try their banana bread coffee and bfast burrito! Coffee was a 4/5 and burrito was meh, not what I was expecting. I'd come back for their coffee though! Very affordable prices for everything

Many reviews have noted this, and I would have to agree, especially for the size (crepe cake slices) and/or simple design (two layer naked cakes). We ended up trying a slice of their taro crepe cake. It was tasty - light, smooth, and included real taro - and had alternating layers of cream and taro; however, we were surprised with how small it was in person (vs photos) for $12.50 before tax. This is just below the price for an Extraordinary Desserts cake slice, which is not only bigger and more complex, but also made fresh. We noticed the crepe cake slice we got had that dusting of ice sparkles, indicating it was frozen and defrosting, and additionally, as it defrosted, the more it started leaning. Lots of chocolate and I think they added toffee in it too. The middle section had pistachio frangipane (or it looked like it) with coarsely chopped pistachios that brought another layer of crunch! Then to top it all off, it had pistachio cream on top of the cookie! I only wish I got another one. CAPPUCCINO It was okay. But love the foam! It was frothy and foamy! PAVLOVA The meringue was a bit too hard and too sweet and the pastry cream was overwhipped. Loved the fresh fig and blueberries though. I was looking forward to eating pavlova and this was very disappointing! KOUIGN AMANN Very buttery and sticky! Crispy on the outside. Every bite was not dry, but chewy. There was this sticky and chewy texture that wasn't unpleasant, yet it wasn't fully flaky like a croissant. But glad it was not dry! The kouign amann was not as tall like others I've tried, but I preferred it this way because it was not dry. The last kouign amann I had from Bread Lounge was dryyyy. But bought mine at a coffee shop too. PAIN AU CHOCOLAT Crispy on the outside, but I must have toasted a bit more, so the outside was a bit more toasted than desired. Inside was good. Good dark chocolate. BUTTER CROISSANT Really buttery, flaky, crispy! Ate it next day, so reheated it in the toaster oven to bring a more crispness all around. Really enjoyed this! Adding butter and jam is so good! LEMON MERINGUE Meringue had a strong eggy smell and flavor, the lemon was tangy, but not enough to rid of the eggy smell and flavor. The tart was hard and almost stale. I took a few bites and threw the rest out. PAIN SUISSE Chocolate flavor. Crispy on the outside, fluffy like a light spongy cake inside. Enjoyed this! CUSTOMER SERVICE Got there early afternoon. There was only one person in front of me. Good service overall. Quick service. Hits and misses of the various pastries I've tried. It will not deter me from trying their pastries though, as the really good ones were really good! Would love to return! Especially for that Choco Chip Pistachio Cookie!
