I came here as a walk in for a pedicure and I was able to be seen right away. Yelp says credit cards accepted but they insisted I pay in cash, which was pretty inconvenient bc I had to use their ATM which costed me in fees. I felt it was kind of a high price point of $35 for what I felt was a very routine pedi (no gel). In the middle of my pedi it started to get busy with other walk ins and that's when I felt like my service began to be a bit rushed; I understand wanting to service all the clients but you shouldn't cut corners on the people in your chair. I usually never complain about my nails when I come to Claremont nails but I came this Saturday to get a gel mani and pedi. A little later in the night I started to notice that on one of my fingers the gel nail polish started to lift up and the nail polish chipped away. Normally with gel it's not that easy for it to chip or peel off. So I came back on Sunday to let them know that my nail polish was peeling off and I got them done the day before. They fixed my nail, right away and I was pleased. A couple hours after getting my finger nail fixed, two more of nails, nail polish started to peel off. It's Monday and I have four finger nails with peeled or chipped paint. Including the finger nail that was fixed on Saturday. I am not one to complain, especially on Yelp but I do feel like this needs to be out there since I paid $62 for a gel main and pedi. read more

They were very very pushy on adding more to our services and making us uncomfortable as we said no thank you... and then speaking mandarin and laughing. my nails looked so awful and I'm not picky!! My friend wanted Easter colors so yellow, green, blue and pink.. they charged $5 each color on ONE nail which technically 2 nails since it would be on both hands so $25 on top of the $22 which didn't include cutting the cuticles.the pricing didn't make any sense. read more

Today is Wednesday and I went in this past Friday as a walk in for a gel manicure and pedicure and the ladies were nice the day of. There was not a long wait and the nails were done fairly quickly and they looked pretty. Little did I know that by Sunday the nails started lifting. I went in Tuesday because Monday I had a long work day and there was one or two people ahead of me and Helen asked what I needed. I said my nails are starting to lift but mainly one and I would like my nail fixed. Most started lifting but not like the middle one because it started to tear. She looked annoyed and said, " you're just here for one, ok sit down!" When her client got up I asked discretely how long the wait was and if not I could come tomorrow by appointment. She said I will fix it and grabbed my nail without asking and put glue on it. Well the quality of the gel procedure was poorly done that today now most of my nails started to come off, the one that she glued partially stayed but on the other side it did not have glue and it ended up coming off. Stay far away from this nail salon!! Very questionable sanitation practices. I went in for a pedicure, and the bottom of the bowl, which was supposed to have had a new liner, was gritty and felt dirty. I didn't even set my feet down on the bottom of the tub. The woman who was doing my pedicure had gloves on and then got up and started cashing people out and putting peoples shoes back on and then came back to me with the same gloves! When she started doing my callouses, she took the scrub and scraped the sides off with one of the instruments, so I'm guessing they reuse the scrubs on people. I didn't see where the tools came from, but I wouldn't be surprised if they are not sanitized properly. Stay far away!!! read more

The shop was very clean, had no fish odor as some claimed, they had a flat screen on low and very soft music playing. Kathy was my nail tech and she was pleasant, asked if I was ok throughout the session, took extra time to inspect each nail after she polished them and asked if I was pleased. Worst pedicure I have ever gotten. The nail lady cut my toe nail and skin so much that after 7 weeks I still have so much pain whenever something touches my big toes. I was in extreme pain just with the slightest touch and I could barely wear tennis shoes. The sides of both my big toes had dried up blood. The lady cut too much on the side of my toe nails and also took off too much skin and almost caused me an infection because I went back to my regular nail lady usually go to and she told me there was pus when she pulled the skin back on the side of my big toes. I tried calling a couple times but the lady said manager wasn't there and tried to get me to go back in but I wouldn't trust them ever again. I had to ask the nail technician to clean under my nails. The lady doing my manicure didn't clean under my nails either. They kept criticizing the color I chose and that my nails are short.
