Taking my car back here for the third time to get it fixed. Every time they have broken something else than what was originally broken. We are now starting month number 3 on the fixes that were supposed to take week or two. I really wonder how these can still be in business. I had compared two electric vehicles, the Chevy Volt and the Nissan Leaf. I decided I liked the idea of a gas-powered range extender so I would not have to worry so much about battery range. I was testing the water, rather than jumping into the deep end. Consequently, the Volt won. Next, I needed to find a dealership that could answer my remaining questions, really understood the car and could make me a decent deal. I hate car negotiating. Hate. Kevin Reese was a very personable salesperson and wasn't in the least bit smarmy. He never had to go 'talk to the manager.' Our visit was like talking to a knowledgable Volt enthusiast who was almost as excited about this new journey we were embarking on as we were. Classic Chevrolet is obviously making a concerted effort to promote the Volt and it shows in their knowledge of the car, their inventory and their pricing. Although Classic is the closest dealership to our home, I shopped around the DFW area, looking for the best deal. I even web surfed dealerships in southern Oklahoma. Some dealerships in the DFW area quoted a lease payment $100 per month higher than what Classic Chevrolet quoted for the exact same car, options, terms, etc! Needless to say, we leased our 2012 Volt from Classic Chevrolet and have been pleased with our choice in dealership. All the freeway construction around them can be a minor hassle, but they're DEFINITELY worth the trip. P.S. Two months later, we went back to Classic and leased a second Volt for my wife! Great car. Having to bring in your car at a dealership can be very intimidating especially if you are like me and have zero knowledge of anything regarding cars. I was already gipped by another Chevrolet location in Grand Prairie over an oil change of all things so was extremely weary about having to make an appointment. I called and they scheduled an appointment for me with Chappie. Can I just say he is one of the most professional, honest and helpful human beings EVER. I came in due to a recall and he also diagnosed a few other problems with my car. He was able to fix all the problems in a timely manner and provided me with daily updates leading up to when they finished with my car. On 9/18/2021, I went to Classic Chevrolet in Grapevine, Texas to meet with the sales associate Kevin Gooding. I told him my husband was interested in the Blazer, Mr. Gooding told me there was a chip problem and it would take a while before the car would come in. But I could put $500.00 down to hold the Blazer when it came in. So I agreed. We talked about the incentives and because the Blazer is not in stock right now, would I still get the September incentives, and he told me that I would. So I paid the $500.00, and waited for the car to come in. Mr. Gooding emailed me on 11/112021, to tell me that the Blazer we were waiting for had arrived. On Thursday 11/18/2021, Mr Gooding sent me a text, stating that after my deposit the Blazer will cost me $37,683 plus tax and title (ttl). I then asked him how much the tax and title would cost. Mr. Gooding he then wrote that it would be 6.25%, plus another $350 - $400. Everything seemed fine, so my husband and I decide to go the next day to purchase the Blazer. On 11/19/2021, my husband and I purchased a 2021 Blazer from Classic Chevrolet in Grapevine, Texas. I was not happy with the termed that was presented to me by finance. The payments would be $579.89, for 84 months. I asked about the incentives that was offered to be in September, and I was told I could not get those incentives. I asked if there was any incentives the next day saw on the Chevy website that there is a $500.00 Cyber incentive until 11/20/2021, but it was not offered to me. We did talk about getting 6 years or 60,000 miles, but it was not in my paperwork. I tried to get finance to lower the price because I felt the monthly payment of $569.89 was too high, but he wouldn't budge. Basically I was told to take the deal or look for another vehicle. I had already waited so long to get the vehicle, and although he gave us a few minutes to think about it. My husband and I signed the paperwork. I didn't realize until the next day that I went from having at great deal at $37,863 to paying $43,959.99, I felt the dealership had taken advantage of me. And the money I thought I was paying for my Gap insurance, was used as a down payment for the Blazer. When I stated that I would have to refinance, the finance guy who I don't remember his name, told me no one could beat GM's deal and he knew all the credit unions and none of them would give me a better deal. I never write reviews. But this one is soooo waranted. I had a appointment for service on Friday morning for my son's malibu. He is about to drive it across country to Los Angeles and I want ed to make sure that it was in perfect driving conditions. He has had a problem with the acceleration once or twice where it would limit him to no more that 45MPH for a period of time then it would kick back into normal mode after a while. Well I took the car on Friday at 11:15 left it there I received a call back at 3:00 saying what they thought the diagnosis was and what needed to happen and the $$$ amount as well once I asked. I told them I need the car back when I dropped it off that morning. Well by 5:30 I get a call saying it won't be ready they though they had the part but turns out the didn't. It would be tomorrow but he was off so he would speak to the technician to make sure it was completed in the morning. Saturday at 11:00 no call so I call and was told a manager would call me back. 12:30 no call I call again and said the manager would definitely call me back. 1:30 i drive over there. The manager Ron is standing in the lobby when the receptionist tell him I am there he looks at me and says yes okay?????? WTH I walk up to him and tell him my car year and make and who my agent was on the Friday that was helping me out and he says did you get a diagnosis on the car. I've put 35k miles on the new truck and other than an AC tube and seat tightening, the new Tahoe has exceeded my expectations from the other two I had before. I trade in and buy a new vehicle about every 2 years. I have bought probably 10-12 cars in the last 15 years. I have tried to purchase 3 vehicles from this dealer over the past 2 years and have never been able to reach a deal. Terrible customer service yet again. I've finally decided to take my truck somewhere else and pay for the work all over again. I've gone back to Chevy repeatedly for one problem that was supposed to have been fixed multiple times. When I make more than one visit to you in one week, we've got a serious problem. They didn't seem to care or be bothered at the fact that I was constantly taking off work to have the issue addressed. The last time I went there for help I told that they could refer me somewhere else and I would have to pay out of pocket for something they didn't want to fix. They think it's funny that the lights on my truck "didn't last 4 years this time" I finally had to get my keys off of Brendon's desk and walk out the front door without being helped. I'll never buy a Chevy truck again if this is the service I can expect every time. I purchased my truck used still under warranty. Shortly after I noticed cracks going up and down my dash from the passenger airbag. I called in and they said it's not covered, after the salesmen said it covered from bumper to bumper. Big f&$&ing liars. Also my lever to open my center console broke and the said it was a cosmetic damage and won't fix. Last time I check a lever that operates it opening and closing is mechanical not cosmetic. They don't want to help me or my truck. I'm done with Chevy. read more

I purchased a used Silverado there were several issues on this certified used vehicle ,radio USB on star, creaking sounds numerous things were wrong with the truck. It took them three weeks and three visits to get the situation resolved capping with a trailer hitch being put back on my truck with no pin. I noticed last night that the trailer hitch was almost falling off my truck driving on highways I could've killed somebody I will never ever shop there or trust anybody from this facility again. The Classic Chevrolet in Grapevine sales team strung me out for a month on a new Corvette Z06 then stretched the sales to over 11 hours, changing the deal at the last minute. I was so tired I took the deal stating that I would not want to see an ad in a week or two with the price that had been advertised. The sales manager promised this would not happen. Within a week or so the ad came out as I feared with the price I expected. The sales manager claimed the ads were mistakes and would not be honored for any customers. (In other words, they didn't honor their ads for anyone.) Also, my salesman had talked on day one about a specific discount and when asked, he back peddled to cover his back. No honor here. Finally, the sales team lost the keys so I arrived at about 9 am and didn't leave till about 8 pm. I was worn out. After receiving the car, I noted the roof was not properly latched and the passenger seat was water damaged. In replacing the seat cover the dealer damaged the passenger window tint. In redoing the tint, the dealer scratched the passenger A pillar which took two trips to fix. You be the judge. Buy from these guys at your own risk. They are nice and smile a lot and the facility is clean, but they have not acted honorably. read more

I recently took my car to Classic Chevrolet service (despite the longer drive and inconvenience to me) after a 6+ month horrendous experience with Friendly Chevrolet off I-35/Inwood in Dallas. I own a 2016 Chevrolet Equinox, which I purchased nearly new in February of this past year. I will save the specifics of the car issues I was having for the post I will make for Friendly's yelp page, but needless to say, a problem that I had repeatedly went to Friendly for (at least 6-7 times with my car often being there 3-4 days or more on average) was fixed in less than a day by Classic...one visit, just 1-2 hours. When I think about the amount of time Friendly wasted for me it infuriates me, but I'm happy the whole experience led me to these awesome people. From the moment I arrived there, the service was quick, friendly, and warm. The loaner process was a breeze (not nearly the nightmare I repeatedly went through at Friendly) and for these reasons, I will definitely make this my regular Chevrolet dealership from this point moving forward. Thank you for taking months of stress off of my shoulders and helping me breath again, no longer feeling helpless. You guys rock! read more

This location has no customer service skills. I called three times and got the run around about picking up my plates. Come to find out, the gentleman who sold me my vehicle quit some time ago and who knows if the information was filed correctly for my plates to come in. Then they want to blame the previous owner, saying the previous owner didn't do what they were supposed to do so they could file for the plates. I had to have another paper plate printed and put on my vehicle. No customer service, not reliable. read more

I have read a lot of reviews over the years but have never taken the time and trouble to write one until today. A week ago I was looking for a Tahoe for my fiance, sadly they didn't have a vehicle that met our budget. On the way out I saw a silver BMW 750i for sale that looked clean and thought I would take a peek and see what it had to offer. Needless to say 48 hours later I was the very happy and proud owner of my new car. All was going well until I tried to start the car today (Sat April 19th) and the battery was dead, luckily I carry jumper cables and managed to get the car started with the help of a good samaritan. I called Classic and spoke to Abby the receptionist and explained the problem, she was very sympathetic, apologized for the issue and said she would put me through to Mike the Manager. I explained the situation to Mike and he too apologized and said how sorry he was to hear about the issue but that he would put the call directly through to Charlie Wise - he checked and said that he was on a call, took my name and number and found me in the system and said that he would get Charlie to call me in 5 minutes. Sure enough, not but 3/4 minutes later Charlie called. I explained that I was heading to Classic BMW in Plano and was going to have them replace the battery. He said that he would do whatever it took to make things right and again like his colleagues, he apologized and was sincerely sorry for the issue with the battery. The call was concluded with Charlie asking me to ask the dealership to email him the invoice so that he could pay me back for the expense of the battery. I thanked him and he texted me from his personal cell phone with his email address, as soon as the car was finished, I paid $576.60 and asked the cashier to send an email to Charlie. She said she would do so immediately. I then texted Charlie to let me know when he received the email from BMW - no more than 5 minutes had elapsed and he sent me the confirmation. Why am I taking the time and trouble to write this review - very simple. When the shi% hit the fan, every person who I spoke to at Classic Chevrolet was concerned, was sorry, was sincere and genuine about my issue and they wanted to not only do something but they did do something about it.....they took exceptional customer service of me - their brand new client. To say that I am impressed, is a real understatement. In a society and in a day and age when so many people talk about customer service - Classic Chevrolet delivered on their departing words when I left the dealership in my new car, "if anything should come up, we are here to help you, thank you for your business Rikardo". Based on this wonderful experience I will be returning back to Classic Chevrolet and they can absolutely count on me being a customer for life. The service here was good besides the fact that someone went out of their way to adjust both my pre set seat settings to have the seat all the way forward, the back rest tilted all the way up and both side view mirrors pointing down. They also adjusted my setting where when I take the keys out it goes to this same setting as well so when I turn off my car I get my seat immediately pushes my knees into the dash and sandwiches me into the steering wheel. You have to individually hold down each of the three buttons separately to accomplish all this so this was not an accident. This is a prank that was done as a joke but resulting in the loss of a customer. I have set my seat settings back to normal but cannot get my setting for exiting and entering the vehicle back so every time I turn off my truck the seat goes all the way forward into the steering wheel and I'm greeted with the seat in the same spot every time I open my door. If I was ever in a situation where I was being chased or shot at and needed to get into my vehicle quickly I would get shot or just die from the repetitive anger that boils inside me every time I open my door. If your vehicle does not have seat presets then you are in the clear to come here but if it does I would go somewhere else because apparently that's a fun prank they like to ruin people's life's with. Update. My seat cannot be fixed. The exit setting has been adjusted but the entering the vehicle has been internally adjusted to not be able to be set. My truck needed an alignment done because the tires were wearing bad but the truck didn't pull to either side. They said they did an alignment and now the truck pulls to the right?? So it's worse than it was before. I now will have to coordinate with work to find time to get it back in to make all this right. read more

Dealt with the internet Department..... I have always wanted to Purchase a New Chevy Tahoe. I was always scared it was out of my price range. I called and spoke with the internet sales manager who took all of my information to work on and see what they could do. I have had many exhausting experiences with other dealerships, and started off this way in hope of eliminating some of the games salesman had played with me in the past. I was very surprised to see how quickly they responded to me. They also did a great job explaining to me all of my options and worked with the bank and themselves to get me the best deal they could give. No games whatsoever. It's a shame how other dealers can give the business a bad name, where everyone I dealt with from the sales person, to the manager, to the finance manager told it to me straight and explained everything. This review is about the Service Department. Purchased a new car a couple of months ago and got the message it was time for an oil change. Went on-line and made an appt. for the next Friday at 11AM. Over the next few days I got at least 2 phone calls reminding me of the appt, a text, and 3 e-mails. I got of work and arrived around 10:40 for my appointment. I pulled into the bay and a gentleman came up and said, 'can I help you', not in a friendly tone at all, no smile or welcoming body language. I said I want to have my oil changed and tires rotated. He immediately said, it is a 2 hour wait. I replied, 'then why did I make an appointment'? He just shrugged his shoulders. I said I'll just come back later, which I won't. They had one chance to win my business and they blew it. There are too many Chevrolet dealers in the metroplex to have to deal with a 2 hr wait. The ER would have been quicker.
