Quick and honest service. Somebody hit our mirror while we were street parked. The plastic cover was coming off, and we were concerned about water intrusion. I couldn't get the cover to reattach and didn't want to crack the plastic by trying to force it. I called Speed's and described the situation, and they said they could take a look anytime to assess whether it needed replacement or if it could be reattached as-is. Took the car into Speed's Auto Body shortly after the phone call. The service technician found that the cover was still in good shape. He removed it, realigned the little plastic tabs, and it snapped back into place securely. It took a minute or two and was good as new! It turned out to be such a simple fix that he didn't even charge us for the time. I was impressed by the quick response and commitment to customer service demonstrated during my visit. read more

Frustrated from calling all over town to find a shop that could repair my Mercedes "La Paloma," I was referred to Speeds Auto Body. An appointment was quickly made. Conveniently, when I brought La Paloma into their shop, the vehicle damage assessment was done on the spot and there was no waiting around. Fernando clearly explained what to expect during an insurance claim, and how the process works. While La Paloma was in the shop there was a huge discrepancy between what the insurance company was willing to cover and what Fernando and the crew perceived as necessary and fair. Fernando did a brilliant job of negotiating with the insurance company to insure necessary repairs were covered and completed! Courtney is an awesome communicator and called with frequent updates. Speeds Auto Body shop is the ONLY place I will take my vehicle for any repairs needed on my vehicle. I had a unique situation where I had rented my car out on a platform called TURO, and my car had over $15,000 worth of damage. They worked my car into their lot after moving things around that they did not have to do, and got working on it right away. Fernando, the senior technician was wonderful. He was prompt in emailing and calling me with all updates from the insurance issues (TURO really dropped the ball on this and it was because of TUROs terrible communication, that work was paused due to not getting responses from multiple agents). Fernando worked with both TURO and me sending over all estimates and repair needs. When it was being re-keyed, he double checked that the core of the lock had been changed as well, due to the renter stealing my key. I appreciated how detail oriented Fernando was, because this one small detail could have been a safety issue for me, as my old car key could have accessed the vehicle and been stolen by the original renter. Very on point, ensured that this was done correctly as well as everything else. Upon me picking up my car after it was finished with repairs, the shop had detailed the interior of my car, put half a tank of gas in the car and took it to the the car wash. They truly go over and above in every aspect of their business! Friendly, reliable, honest, amazing work and prompt communication- absolutely outstanding. Whoah these guys are amazing! After taking a small project - cutting down and painting a front fender for my Triumph Bobber - to several shops, they were so nice to happily take it on for me. I dropped it off Friday and to my surprise, they'd completed it on Monday and charged me almost half what I'd expected. The quality is perfect and the turnaround time kinda blew me away. Giving a one star review because I couldn't give a zero star review. Speeds auto told me they could turn my car around in 3 days, didn't even start on the work for 7 days, ended up taking 22 days to complete and then immediately tried to start to charge me $75 dollars a day for storage when I was on vacation. In what world could it ever cost $75 dollars a day to store a car. I could get a car an Air BnB in the city for that amount, either they are putting my car up in the Marriott or it's just plain extortion. AVOID SPEEDS AT ALL COSTS!!!! read more

This is my third experience with Speed's Auto Body; they repaired a dent on my mom's car and on my previous vehicle back in 2014. Recently, I had three bids to get my driver's side mirror replaced. Speed's estimate gave me the best price and the least amount of time without my car. Matt and his team are true professionals, from the office to the shop. I would never take a vehicle anywhere else for body work. They are experienced, thorough, and do top-notch work. When I arrived at the shop, they had already contacted Enterprise Rental Cars for me, and I waited five minutes for the driver to come pick me up. This place should be closed down and condemned. Totally ripped off with my insurance claim. Unsafe repairs that required multiple trip returns to have things corrected. The owner just kept putting his hands up in the air as if he had no idea what was going on. Been exactly an entire year since my fender bender and have now had to spend more money and time going to the dealership to fix what he couldn't. My advice for the owner Matt is to retire and move on to something else he might actually be good at. Terrible experience on every level! Update: its has now been 2 years since I went to this place and my dealership is still discovering structural defects that were not corrected or repaired from the original date of service. Had to replace 4 new tires that were out of alignment twice before they found a bent piece of metal that was left unattended. I had them check my car multiple times and Speed's kept reassuring me that things were safe and sound. Do yourself s favor and stay away from these con artists that call themselves mechanics. read more

Wow. What a spectacular job repairing my very smashed driver's side fender/taillight - and under the initial estimate! Matt was deliberate, insightful, but not pressuring during the very stressful time of getting initial estimates. If I had any quibble it would be for more updates during the repairs, but I shouldn't have worried because Matt and his team did a world-class job. I went there because my passenger side needed re-doing because of an accident. The service was great until I got my car back. When I took my car, my all the doors on the car worked, including the trunk. They claim that the trunk was having issues during the time of repair, which I find hard to believe because I get into the trunk of my car often. When I got the car back, it took a few days before I noticed that the trunk would not open. I tried several things and several times to get the door to open, but it wouldn't. I called them and they agreed to look at the car to see whether or not it was something that could have happened during the accident or repairs. The end verdict was of course in their favor, because the part that would need replacing with work would cost upwards of $250.00, and they of course wouldn't want to be out that. read more

Matt is just fantastic to work with. The "other guys" say they will fight with your insurance company to get what you deserve. Been there, done that. All I ended up with was a poor paint job and the wrong color grill on my fog light. Matt really came through. Negotiating on my behalf on everything from the repair to the rental and told me when I wasn't getting what I should from the other parties insurance and he was always right. He even fixed the crappy repair work done by the other repair shop that claims to be on your side. He was always available to answer questions honestly when I was freaked out about the insurance trying to screw me over and he made sure that didn't happen.
