    16" Meat Lovers Pie
    Alex H.

Classico Tomato Pies in West Windsor is a casual Italian pizza parlor with solid tomato pies along with pasta and other Italian dishes. We had the pasta allá Classico (hot sausage and broccoli rabe in a white sauce), meat lovers pizza and meatball and ricotta pizza. Classico is unfussy and delicious making for the perfect venue whenever you get a hankering for pizza or want to do an affordable dinner with the family

Stopped in here for a quick bite before heading home. Greeted nicely when I walked in and asked if I'd been there before and if I needed help. I ordered my standard slices when trying a place for the first time - one plain and one sausage. The slices were thin and crispy - a little crispier than I normally like, but these were really delicious slices. I thought the slices were a little small for the price, and the sausage slice didn't have much sausage on it, but they were still very tasty. I imagine if I lived close I'd be a regular here.

Just wanted to update as Steve has gone from standard Jedi to the Jedi Council. Congrats on your promotion, Steve. Best tomato pie in the area and it's not close. It gets better and better every time.

Great Pizza. Sausage pizza. Sicilian pizza. Mushroom pizza. All GREAT. We celebrated a graduation with 30 people and EVERYONE raved about how Great Classico is. Keep up the nice work. Thank you.

Margherita Pie with real tomato base, and mozzarella. Crispy, not over cooked and made a nice crunch when bitten into. Slight flop but due to tomatoes. Taste was great. Awesome location and service was attentive. Great spot, with plenty of seating. I was shocked it had only a few patrons, but noticed they were turning pies like crazy. Many must order delivery or pickup. They also have cakes and mini canolas. Great spot. Average rating on one bite is a 8.9, I gave them a 9.1.

    Cheesesteak egg rolls (good!)

This was on my radar for some time. I know that Steve learned from some of the best in the business, and was cranking out great pies from those places. I knew that once he had his own spot it would be as good as Delos etc. it took me way too long to visit..... It just so happened I was nearby with a friend and food was needed, this was the first place I thought of. It was pretty slow around 1:30 on a Saturday, but Steve was working so I knew what I was getting. My friend wanted pasta and chose the caccio pepe, we also ordered an app of cheesesteak egg rolls, I ordered a large tomato pie with garlic. The pasta came our fairly quickly but not before a side Caesar salad that comes with a few items. She liked both. We both enjoyed the egg rolls, lots of meat and cheese. The pie was just the way I like, super thin crust that held up to the ingredients. The sauce was vibrant but not sweet or too acidic, quality cheese and a good amount of garlic. It was a nice size and I walked away with half of it left, sadly it did not last long once home. The interior is casual but much nicer than a typical pizza place, BYOBing would not be out of place. I hope this area can appreciate Trenton style tomato pies, and the rest of their food for that matter. I plan on coming back soon to try a steak sandwich.

The ambiance was great, good delicious. Salad was especially yummy with bits of fresh fruit. When we went the service was a little haphazard and we didn't get exactly what we ordered, but we did still enjoy it!

Large pizza (half plain, half pepperoni)

The pizza here was rather underwhelming. We ordered two pizzas. Our onion and pepper pizza barely had any cheese and was mostly sauce. The pepperoni fared better in the cheese distribution. The crust is thinner than a NY style pie. Overall, just not one of our better pizza experiences. And you have 4 adults and 2 kids as food critiques for this reviews.

Got the Classic Trenton pie. Pretty standard pizza. Good crunch on the crust. Cheese and sauce are fairly average m.

My Chicken Piccata was well-seasoned and flavorful. Cons: While the staff was pleasant, the service was extremely slow--especially considering there were only seven tables seated and we were the first to arrive. Our table of five ordered just two appetizers, yet the entire meal took three hours to complete. This delay was not due to extended conversation but rather very slow kitchen execution and service. Additionally, over the course of three hours, I was served only two glasses of water, the second of which I had to request. Water glasses were left half-empty for long periods; refills should be automatic. Finally, the broccoli served with my Chicken Piccata was ice cold. Overall: There are many other Italian restaurants in the area offering comparable pricing with significantly better food quality and far superior service. Based on the above mentioned, I'd give this a 2 out of 5 stars as this restaurant has some redeeming qualities, but not an experience I'd return for.

No complaints. I'm not a Vegan but one of my most favorite type of vegetarian cuisine is Indian. Love me some lentils, chick peas and carrots. Here is what we ordered: - Authentic Thaali - Classic Masala Dosa - Utthapam Get the mango lassi. Omg, it was so darn sipping yummy. I was about to grab another bottle until I read the nutritional label that said it has 34 grams of sugar. How can this probiotic drink have that much sugar? Still, this drink was perfect to cut through some of the spiciness. Service at each station and the entire staff were very friendly and helpful. Lots of seating available as well as upstairs. We sat by the pretty tree that was in the center. Prices were surprisingly reasonable.

As was the service because it was always made on time and ambiance. Since its a small place its more of a takeout than actual restaurant when it comes to getting food. The pizza always had good flavor and we could tell was made fresh which would explain why the crust and everything was good. There were never any major complaints outside of a few times where maybe the pizza could've been better. There were few times where the cheese fell of because either there was too much liquid or too much sauce on the pizza. And because of that it would make the pizza very oily or soggy which tended to ruin the texture of the crust. In the end otherwise, it was still a good pizza place and it's worth going to whenever you want good pizza in East Windsor.

The place is called Sal's Pizza and it's located on Rte 130 in East Winsor, NJ. People were very kind in the reviews---good sign. They had just turned on the lights moments before I stepped in and were beginning to stock the pizza case. I didn't feel like waiting so I ordered two plain slices and hoped for the best. I'll start with the good: The sauce is tangy and wonderful. It is seasoned OK too but it could use just a touch more to give it that "punch" that I seek. The cheese is premium mozzarella and has that stringy mozzarella cheese pull that makes for an A-1 pie. The crust (outer and underneath) is super flavorful. I would probably classify this as thin crust. The bad: There is ZERO CRISPINESS to the outer crust or the undercarriage. None. And as you would imagine, the slices wilt like wet noodles. When you try to pick it up, everything slides off. Even if you fold it, you get the same limp results. I was super diligent trying to eat and keep the toppings off my shirt. That didnt work either. T-shirt ruined. I wanted to dine-in but after I ordered, I had to run to my car to grab my wallet. When I returned within 30 seconds, (yes, really 30 seconds) they had already boxed my slices without ever asking me if it was to stay or go. I just assumed they didn't want me dining in for whatever reason so I paid and left. If they ever solve the crust issue, they'd have something special here. But until then, they are just....
