Best cheesesteaks ever - look at that beef to bread ratio! Not greasy like the traditional Philly steaks
    Chris W.

Been coming here since high school and still remains my favorite cheese steak ever. Much better than the greasy versions from Philly! My usual order is the cheesesteak with onions and mushrooms added - love how they cook the cheese with the beef, onions, and mushroom. IIRC their bread used to be toasted but the most recent order from last week came in toasted, I believe they might have switched to another bread. The family that owns this place is very friendly, are hard working, and remembers regulars. I'm so glad they are still in business - this is a stable every time I come back to visit. They also have amazing pizza slices ready to heat up, highly recommend giving those a try!

This place was a traditional pizzeria with a few tables where orders were taken at the counter. The service was appreciated as we took a decent amount of time to figure out what to order at the counter. They had different types of pizza and several different types of sandwiches. A half pepperoni and half mushroom pizza was ordered ($19?). A slice of each was tried. The thin crust was appetizing and cooked just right. There was plenty of pepperoni and mushroom on the pie as well. The pepperoni slice was extremely oily, however. The pizza as a whole was very good overall. Will I go back? Yes.

Pretty good pizza! I ordered a large, half combo half works, for pickup. I was able to sub out onions on both for other toppings, which was pretty nice. They let me know they the pizza would be ready in about 30 min, and they had all ready to go when I arrived. In terms of the pizza itself, I thought the slices were huge! We had 3 people with a large, but I think a medium for 3 would've been perfect. The pizza was generously topped, and I could really taste the natural flavor of the toppings. It tasted healthier than pizza I'd normally eat. I also thought the crust had a nice, chewy but crunchy consistency. I do wish the pizza was a bit more sauced though, but otherwise I enjoyed it!

It was my first time here and it was very satisfying! My only complaint is that maybe the pizza was too hot coming out of the oven! But better that than being cold! We tried a variety of slices including the one with special sauce. Super delicious! Simple and fast,, comfortable seating. Pizza was ready immediately, which is great when you're starving! The pepperoni and cheese was good too.

10" personal pizza with onions. The pizza slid in the car so the cheese slide is my fault.

I came in here to order pizza to go on a Saturday night around 5:15. There was no wait, it was very easy. I ordered a 10" personal pizza pie with onions (~$9). It took about 10 minutes (less) and I was sent on my way with a steaming hot pie. The pizza slid around a little in the car so by the time I got out, some of the cheese had melted off, but that was fine. Overall the pizza was OK. It was hot and the proportions are solid (nice amount of cheese, sauce, and dough). But honestly, it didn't have that much flavor. I suspect this is due to a lack of spices in the sauce. Either way, it was a fine experience but nothing exciting. I'll go back to check out their subs and pastas.

As usual, I was on the road with my daughter for field hockey and on the way home (after two games) she needed to eat...NEEDED to eat! I was told simply "I want pizza" so I jumped on Yelp and found the closest place with the best reviews...and that's how I happened upon Aljons Pizza. First thing I noticed when we walked in the door was that it was a pretty big place and I assumed they must do well. There was a post-season youth soccer party going on and I always love when coaches support a local place for something like that. Anyway, we were greeted right away and we ordered four slices - plain (with extra sauce on top of the cheese), sausage, ziti, and a margherita with vodka sauce. the plain slice was a little thick, but the sauce was really great and the crust had a nice crisp. I normally like a thin, softer crust on my plain pizza, but this was a great tasting slice. the sausage slice was a more traditional Jersey pizza crust - really thin so you could fold it, and it was very good. Sausage was crumbled, which I don't mind- (though I prefer sliced), but when it is I like bigger crumbles - just my preference. The ziti slice was simply one of the best I've ever tasted and my daughter 100% agreed - she loved it. The vodka sauce slice, I have to be honest took me off guard a bit as it was a little funky, but tasted great. Not funky BAD, but funky as in I didn't know what to expect... Fast service with a smile, spacious seating, very clean, great selection of slices and the pizza was really good. Why wouldn't I give this place 4 stars???

    Thumb Down...

Used to always go here... until I called yesterday and the person was SO rude that I cancelled. They started of their tirade by reminding me in a belittling fashion that they had but 1 size of Cheesesteak. Then, they refused to tell me the price "I don't have time for that!" He also refused, with the same words "I don't have time to do that, so it yourself!" When we asked for GARLIC POWDER/Salt on the slices we were also going to get.... So after he refused to say a price, was rude about the cheese steak & then said he didn't have time, literally, to do the job of a cashier/clerk In a pizza parlor. NEVER AGAIN, also-the food has ALWAYS BEEN "Meh." AKA-Average, but I live across the street.. no longer supporting this small business. Dominos or elsewhere moving forward, also-I'm sharing my experience everywhere I can do others may find this useful and refrain from the mistake of Aljons.

Despite our large party, we were seated immediately with no wait. Our server greeted us quickly, took our orders right away, and our food came out much faster than we expected. We ordered a little bit of everything--from kids' meals and appetizers to steaks and the duck wings. The duck wings were definitely a standout and were absolutely worth ordering. The only minor issues we had were that the queso arrived only warm instead of hot, but our server took care of it immediately without hesitation. I also ordered a steak that wasn't quite what I was expecting, although that may have been due to a miscommunication on how I wanted it cooked. What really stood out was the hospitality. Even though we were the last guests in the restaurant, no one made us feel rushed. Instead, the manager came over, welcomed us, checked on our experience, and even shared a few laughs with our group. That level of customer service made a lasting impression and really ended our evening on a positive note. Overall, we had a great experience. Good service, fast food, a welcoming atmosphere, and a staff that genuinely made us feel appreciated. We'd definitely stop by again the next time we're in the area.

Regular double cheeseburger was a miss. Double bbq char burger was a tiny bit better thanks to the bacon and fried onions that gave the sad burger some texture and flavor. If we were being honest, we would call this location Lawrence Township, but honesty is not always the first ingredient in branding. Location, location, location, even for burgers. The turn off Route 1 feels like a wager against fate, and the alternate path through the outer rings of Mercer Mall suggests a quiet exile. Fortunately, the Shake Shack app exists, sparing one from both traffic patterns and insurance claims. This is how I most recently enjoyed my meal, delivered neatly to my workplace for a coworker's birthday lunch, which felt appropriately celebratory. I usually order the Shack Stack, a dependable monument to excess where a burger and a breaded portobello mushroom coexist in harmony. This time, I strayed. I chose the "limited time" K-Shack Fried Chicken Sandwich, which arrived with promises of a spicy sweet sesame gochujang glaze, scallions, and kimchi slaw. The blueprint was sound. In execution, the flavors spoke in a whisper when they should have sung. The kimchi and the sauce both seemed to hold something back, as if saving themselves for another sandwich. I'm sure some focus group told them they liked it spicy, but just corporate spicy. Many people treat Shake Shack as the summit of elevated fast food. I remain a respectful observer rather than a true believer. Still, the food is consistently good, reliably satisfying, and, if you can avoid the drive, all the better.
