A friendly place to stop by for a quick lunch. The employees seem to be happy, and there are six tables (or so) behind the cash register. Pizza is available by the slice, and there are like 15 pies to choose from. Since the case is in front, you can quickly decide if you like what you see, without committing to walk all the way inside. This pizzeria was scrumptious. I stopped by while staying in Midtown Manhattan and ordered a slice each of margherita and burrata. The margherita was perfectly drizzled with olive oil, and the burrata (my favorite) was topped with sweet, sunripened cherries. I would give Claudio's five starts, but ever since we dined in there once and saw some questionable activity in terms of cleanliness, it's made me a little blah. It's a great local place to order out pizza from. We usually order from here once or twice a week now. The Claudio supreme is great, and very garlicy. Tried this place because it was near our hotel. Id say you get good pizza here but I just wish that their crust could be crispier. As a pineapple lover it is disappointing to see pizza places in NY not carry Hawaiian pizza. However this place has chicken bbq pizza w/ pineapple (3.5/5) which was pretty good. It doesn't beat Hawaiian pizza but it's pretty close. The combo pizza (4/5) was VERY good! The cheese was great, toppings were great. Only thing is the crust was not crispy enough for my taste. We came to NYC for a few days to see a show and some sightseeing. Our first day did not go as planned. We had issues with my husband's wheelchair and trouble navigating public transportation with a wheelchair user. It was a lot later than planned by the time we got to the hotel and we were too tired and sore to go out. We did a search and Claudio's showed up as close with delivery. We got the pizza and wings quickly. The price for the food was reasonable given the location. The food was really good. Some of the best wings I've had in a long time. In fact, my extremely picky teen has decided that NY style pizza is far superior to any pizza they've ever had. Being that we're from the Chicago area, this makes me question my parenting up to this point. But, it was very good pizza. We even ate at the restaurant a few days later. I don't usually write reviews of pizza places, because it really is a matter of taste, but I have been coming to Claudio's for years, and in Hell's Kitchen, it really is a cut above the $1.50 places. Maybe, this isn't John's of Bleecker Street, but it's pretty damn good, for a local place, and you don't have to wait an hour in line. We ordered the "Claudio's Veggie Delight Pizza", X-large, 18 inch pie, and it was a delight! It came with fresh veggies...broccoli, spinach, green peppers, black olives, and onions...lots. A slice or two is a meal. The sauce and cheese were tasty and just the right amount of each. The crust was a traditional New York pizza oven firm with a little softness at the center. (This is not a wood burning oven place, with a charred, big bubbling crust. If that is what you're looking for, go elsewhere!) If you're willing to pay more than $1.50/ slice for a traditional, but better quality of pizza, go to Claudio's and support a local store that cares about the quality of its product. read more

So after a long day walking around and went from highline walk to Chelsea market and then little Spain we went to grab couple slice of pizza before heading back to the hotel. Pizza fell off! I live in the neighborhood and I come here all the time food and service is extremely lacking. I don't really ask for much but for somebody who goes in twice a week consistently for them to now consistently not even say hi or thank you when I come in is just unacceptable. Great food, but horrible lay out for efficiency. If you are ordering multiple things for a group they take 1 item and immediately call next rather than is there anything else... lol so I had to stand my ground saying I wasn't done 6x as I was ordering for my group. Pizzas are large variety and love the window displays along the front. Large drink selection too. However having people waiting over you or over your food while you wait for all the pieces is not ideal. Clam chowder is a little runny but packed with flavor! Sausage pizza is thin sliced sausage and wonderful mouthwatering spice. Garlic balls are 4 for $2 but all the flavoring is on the outside.. cesar salad is delicious and great size. Minestrone soup has amazing amount of veggies and flavor. Not sure what they're called but the corn meal balls filled with meat, rice, veggies and onions.... soooo doggone good!!! Not the best service, but not really a full restaurant so not going for the service in general.... it's all about the food! read more

The crust has a really good flavor and they have a good variety of toppings. The restaurant is small but there is indoor and outdoor seating. The service is great here! The lady at the cash register remembers you and she is friendly with everyone that walks in. Seems to be a lot of repeat customers that are always excited when they come in to see the people who work there and get some slices. The pizza was wonderful and they have some really cool slices like a pasta on pizza one and a great buffalo chicken. The buffalo chicken one was crazyyy. So much flavor and the crust was crispy too i gotta get it again. Ive gotten an eggplant parm from here as well and although it takes a while to make the bread was awesome and it was a tasty hero.
