Came here to get a pizza. Sals was located a few bl vid from our hotel. The staff and service were efficient. We ordered a pepperoni pizza to go. You could eat in store m. The ambiance was chill as it was late evening during a weekday. The pizza was fresh, hot and good, with a decent amount of pepperoni. All in all, a good place to pick up a pie. read more

Of the Cheese slices I've had in this part of 10th Avenue and nearby elsewhere in Hell's Kitchen, New York Sal's was the best (OK flavor sauce and cheese plus the best crust in the neighborhood) and a value for what you get. Should add, the staff was friendly. That beings said, wouldn't call outstanding most of the pizza slices in this area. However if you have a hankering for a slice, like before or after drinks in Hell's Kitchen or when heading to or from the Intrepid, then New York Sal's Pizza is a good option. read more

Good late night eats with great options and decent prices. The employees were friendly and courteous. I was staying nearby at Kimpton Ink 48 and the hotel concierge highly recommended this place. Instead of ordering delivery, my friend and I walked over. It was only about a 5 minute walk from our hotel. I needed something small and quick. I got pizza. It was delicious or maybe I was just tipsy?! Either way, I'd recommend this spot. read more

Staying in Hell's Kitchen for a few nights and was looking for a quick bite to eat during the snow on Saturday the 7th of January. Found out that this place was open and went inside to grab a quick slice. The pizza shop is very small with limited seating. The building looks pretty run down so I imagine most people order to go. But they do serve by the slice in the building. Ordered a plain cheese and a water. They quickly heated it up in the oven and it wasn't too bad of a pizza. Little bit of grease which I like and it was a nice size slice. Friendly service and the pizza wasn't too bad. I have had better pizza in the city but if you want something quick and easy, I'd recommend stopping by in Hell's Kitchen. read more

This place serves as my easy choice when it comes to late penne allá vodka and or a cheese pizza. They do delivery and they're open late what more could you ask for! The penne allá vodka comes with bread and it's perfect because with the sauce leftover after eating the dish it's perfect for dipping! I am a fan of sals pizza but recently i ordered from them and they didnt want to come upstairs. I understand they might not be safe BUT how are they any safer out in the street. Having to go down to get it when I have a baby at home is highly annoying. When the delivery guy comes and calls you don't expect to understand him either. UGH. GOOD PIZZA but bad service. read more

So i lived right around the corner from this place for about a month, and I went here a few times. First time I just got a slice that was okay. Second time I ordered a whole pizza (the lasagna pizza) which was okay... but then the day after I finished it off and it was even better. Third time, I ordered Lasagna and the pepperoni roll. Worst pizzeria ever. Ordered a delivery on seamless but they never call after they delivered, so my boyfriend waited for two hours and the food got cold. Buffalo wings are so salty and it comes with vodka sauce instead of regular buffalo sauce. They should call it as fried chicken wings instead. Also, they don't have ranch or veggies on the side. Very disappointed. read more

There were around seven employees behind the counter, yet somehow everything moved at a glacial pace. There was even someone dedicated to adding individual toppings to slices, painstakingly placing basil leaves one at a time, while dozens of customers waited. At one point, she even dropped a stack of pizza boxes, adding to the chaos. Meanwhile, slices would be ready but they'd call customers one at a time instead of handing out multiple completed orders. The result was a line of only five people turning into a backlog of roughly 25 people waiting for food. I've never seen a place with so many employees accomplish so little. If your business model is selling ready-made pizza by the slice, customers should not be waiting half an hour. The food wasn't bad, but the operational inefficiency was so frustrating that I wouldn't come back.
