Try! Their! Trio! Salad! Only for $20! Ppl would normally not go for a salad in a seafood place but today i happened to 1) want lobster 2) want salad. So I decided to go for a lobster salad. And then I saw on the menu they had something called trio salad which had lobster AND crab salad AND shrimp salad. I was thinking wow that must be great and then I ordered. And then it turned to be a GREAT meal!! This might be my first time having a salad with this much lobster/crab/shrimp on top of it. And veggies were romaine, broccoli, carrot, strawberry and grape. Back in July 2023 ordered a lobster roll which was soggy and raw. Worst lobster roll I have ever had. We have had carry out from this place several times over the past few years and their fried fish and scallops have always been good but this time we ordered the lobster row. BEWARE MOSQUITOES! The mosquitoes are so bad here we couldn't enjoy the food in front of us. They're tiger mosquitoes too so they are super painful bites that hurt minutes after the fact. Lather up in deet to enjoy your meals. We waited in line for maybe a half hour (around 7:30pm we got in line) but it moved fairly fast. You can order online (where it says it's an hour wait) which would've been nice to know ahead of time because we traveled that distance to come here. With all of that aside, I got the firecracker shrimp tacos and these were THE BEST SHRIMP TACOS I've ever had. The slaw is unbelievable with lightly fried shrimp. The blueberry pico tastes like normal pico, so I would recommend getting a different side (unless you really like chips and pico). You're getting tortilla for the side AND tortilla for the tacos, so a different side would be good. I also got the lobster bisque and it is THICK! But so delicious. Really delicious food and fantastic view. I had the crab roll special and it was very good. The strawberry lemonade is also definitely worth it. Great outdoor rustic restaurant. We ordered the scallops and lazy lobster. They were both fabulous. We heard great things about this place and it was a "definite " on our dining list. The lazy lobster was a 1.25 lb. lobster all picked and served in butter with coleslaw, a roll and fresh corn on the cob, it was worth the extra $2. The scallops were sauteed with brown butter and fried sage. It was served with the crispy French fries. We ate at picnic tables facing the water. Is rustic, delicious and hard to beat. Found this gem last summer after reading all the rave views on Yelp. Found my way here again today and was still just as in love as I was last summer. You are definitely getting your moneys worth for the lobster roll here! The lobster roll is served cold, lightly tossed with mayo and stuffed into a nicely grilled hot dog bun, in fact the lobster is so stuffed in the roll the meat is overflowing. For $20, it was a bit pricey, but it was overflowing with lobster. It was a bit on the cold side when it got to us, but the bun was perfectly toasted. It was the best part of the meal. The corn on the cob was good as well. The calamari was kinda gross. It didn't have any crunch to it, it was actually mushy. I couldn't bring myself to eat more than a few pieces and end up throwing it away. Of note, their picnic tables are not bolted down. I'll start with the positive. The clam chowder was unique and excellent. It included whole belly clams and I've never had that in clam chowder before and it was delicious. The broth part was also tasty. There were lots of potatoes so it took up quite a bit of space. My spouse's strawberry rhubarb salmon was pretty good. I ordered the haddock sandwich. We opened our bag after we arrived to the park we were having our food and it was then that I discovered that the sandwich didn't include the side of tartar sauce as the menu said it would. It would have been very helpful as the fish was overcooked and very dry. The sandwich was very disappointing. The biggest complaint is that when my spouse was picking up the food, on 2 occasions, we requested utensils and napkins. The person giving us the order reassured us that they were included in the bag. When we opened the bag to eat our food, the utensils were nowhere to be found. It wasn't very fun eating our chowder without a spoon and I wound up saving my cole slaw for another time. I don't think my spouse enjoyed eating the salmon by hand. I would hesitate to recommend this restaurant after our experience this evening. We're in town for Lobster Festival and thought we'd start our weekend at Claws after reading good things and seeing a very busy parking lot. It was a busy night, I recognize that. Our receipt was time stamped 7:15, our food came to the table at 8:10. We waited almost a full hour and watched the entire patio turn over in that time. At about the 45 minute mark we checked in with the kitchen and they said they were waiting for the cheese sauce on the fries. Isn't cheese sauce something you'd prepare in advance for faster serving? When we finally got our food, the lobster roll was absolutely soaking in butter so the bread was inedible. The fish and chips were hot and yummy. The batter was nice and light and they had good flavor. The seafood fries were lukewarm and the cheese sauce we had to wait for w already coagulating. We were so excited to eat here as our first meal in ME and it was super disappointing. Not worth the $120 we spent. It felt like people who ordered lobster meals or oysters were getting served quickly, but everyone else was waiting. Even though we knew what we wanted to order, we perused the menu at our leisure, having beat the lunch rush with our mid-afternoon arrival. Our cashier kindly took our order and gave us a lobster placeholder. Settling on Rockland's "Finest Kind" lobster rolls, my fiance ordered the "Flatlandah" (buttered) and I ordered mine with the standard touch of mayo, both with a side of corn. We also shared an iced tea to wash it all down. Tender, flavorful lobster meat was overflowing from a lightly toasted New England roll. There was a healthy chunk of lobster in every bite. The sweet corn was a nice follow up to the rolls. Now this is how I'd like to start every summer! Eating that quickly meant some clean up was needed. The cashier mentioned that the restroom was well-stocked, but nothing could have prepared me for the set up. I couldn't help taking some photos; there were all sorts of toiletries for guests - flowers, mouthwash, and even antacid tablets! We arrived for lunch around 1:00 p.m. and stood in line to order I had the Lazy Lobster dinner. As expected, it appeared that I had gotten all the meat from a small lobster already picked clean for me. The lobster meat was tasty enough in the drawn butter and sherry, but a little tough as if it was slight overcooked or had sat a while after having been cooked. All in all we had a good dinner, but next time I'm going to order my lobster whole so that I can make sure I get all the meat I'm entitled to and I can order a bigger lobster for the same price. What a strange experience. I read the other reviews and was prepared for a tourist trap experience with high prices and mediocre food. We had some highly adequate oysters and chowder, but when the steamed clams arrived, they were so gritty that they were inedible. We took a party of 10 to Claws last night. It was quite possibly one of the worst restaurant experiences I have ever had. We waited over an hour for our food to come out and when it did, the lobster was COLD, the appetizers came after some of the main dishes and two entrees came out 30 minutes later. Many of the dishes did not come out with the side dishes we had bought. The staff didn't have a handle on the volume of complaints that were coming in from us and other diners, and they seemed totally overwhelmed. They ended up comping us a bottle of wine and a lobster, but it was hardly worth the chaos of the night. Most of this could have been avoided if they had let people know when they were standing in line to order that the time from ordering to the time food would be ready would be more than an hour.
