cozy.. friendly service…read more. awesome Egyptian food.. must try in cleveland.. also serves breakfast..

I tried one of the Egyptian dishes - kushery ($18) - and it was delicious! If you are vegetarian…read moreand/or have vegetarian friends, I highly recommend this dish. Even as a regular eater of meat, I found this dish so satisfying and filling. In case you don't know, kushery is a whole load of carbs; the dish has rice, macaroni, lentils, a slightly spicy tomato sauce, garlic vinegar, chickpeas, and crispy fried onions. The whole mixture altogether was so tasty, and I would totally get this again. I also ordered the hibiscus punch ($6), which was refreshing and not too sweet. And even though I already had a bunch of carbs with the kushery, I got the Egyptian bread pudding ($8), which was very different from the bread pudding I typically see at restaurants around here. It consisted of toasted croissant pieces that were soaked in a creamy sweet milk; the dessert also came with a bunch of nuts, raisins, and whipped cream. It wasn't as rich or sweet as other kinds of bread pudding I've had, but it was still a tasty dessert. The service was a little slow, so I wouldn't suggest dining in here if you need to get a quick meal. But the food was good, and the staff was friendly, so if you have time for a relaxed meal, give the restaurant a try. Note - there were some slight price discrepancies between the menu and final receipt for my drink and dessert, but I know prices are really volatile in these crazy times, and the price discrepancies were small.

Humboldt bruleed cheese came with peppered arugula and crackers and fig jam and wasn't bad. The mortadella pizza was dry. The crust was not good. Too chewy. It could have benefitted from some hot honey on top to make it pop. Not bad overall but nothing I'd bring anyone to try. The star was the pasta as the pasta here is definitely the best section of the menu. The other food is average or even mediocre compared to how fresh and uniquely flavorful their pasta is. The campanelle was stuffed with capers, salmon, and herbs. Great mixins. Rich sauce , soft super fresh noodles.

I cannot say enough good things about Scorpacciata…read more I first visited on Valentine's day, and had such a wonderful dinner I knew I had to bring my parents. My parents drove 2 hours this weekend to visit, and talked about how amazing the meal & our server, Jeremiah was the entire way home. The staff is very attentive, and knowledgable, and truly made us feel comfortable. Our server shared information about how ingredients were locally sourced, and answered all of our questions. When we dined, we ordered from the new spring menu. We got the charred broccoli, which was so unique and refreshing. It had a sweet note to it, which was wonderful. The house meatballs were full of herbs, and were paired with a flavorful red sauce. We also got the mussels, which were awesome! I also enjoyed their cherry bee cocktail, which is gin based, and it was tart, just the way I like them! My favorite dish there is the gnocchi, it is rich and the balsamic notes with the pears are just amazing. I got it on Valentine's day and thought about it ever since! The dessert, tiramisu was a nice way to finish the meal off. As someone who recently moved to the Cleveland area, I know there are a lot of good spots to try, but Scorpacciata truly is the place to be! The environment is so inviting, and the vibe makes me want to share this gem with everyone I know. Thank you, Scorpacciata, for an amazing meal every time.

The lightly-charred crust is sturdy enough to eat flat and supple enough to eat folded New York style!
