First, let me say that I did not know Ms. Vega before I found her ad on Yelp and asked her to come…read more and keep house for me.  No one asked me to write this, nor have I been compensated in any way for this review.   I was a bit reluctant, actually, to write this review.  I know that once I write it, they will get calls for more work and that those calls will be in competition with mine, and so I am reluctant for them to find work that is closer to home, or easier, or pays better than I can. Let's start at the beginning with the name Marigold Housekeeping; the marigold is a remarkable flower.  It has a slightly sweet herbal fragrance, brilliant color, attractive form, and is the source of a strong antimicrobial agent that also serves as an insecticide.   That makes "marigold" a very appropriate name for a cleaning company.  It implies antiseptic clean, and a beautiful and fresh smelling product.   Marigold Housekeeping delivers!! Over the years, I have had at least twenty housekeepers representing many ages, education levels, and ethnicities.  Marigold Housekeeps are tied for the best, and they are the nicest people ever.  Economically, they give me full value for my money.  When they are here, they are on the job!!  They have what I call the "3 Ps"  -  patience, professionalism, and pride of work.  Plus that, they bring optimism and enthusiasm to their work. I am in a rental unit that has good bones, but was quite dirty, even though it had been "cleaned" prior to move in.  The undersides of the kitchen cabinets were thick with goo that smelled rancid.  The dishwasher was cruddy around the edges, the drains and garbage disposal reeked, and the stove had gummy spots on it.  There was a layer of dust everywhere.  There was black mold in the corners of the shower doors. Christina and her crew straightened all of these things around, and they make my home shine!!  She takes special care with my largish art collection, and does little extra things that she doesn't have to, like pruning yellowed leaves from my plants, helping me with cardboard from my Amazon packages, and keeping the small front porch swept clean. I like that they use safe cleaning products that don't poison my home with fumes nor put toxins into the environment. Christina and crew are always cheerful and fun to work with; we laugh and joke, and the time and work speed by.  They are prompt and always show up when they say they will.  It takes them about 2.5 hours to clean my 1,500 sq ft. home, and it looks great when they are done.  Their prices are reasonable for the quality of work, and they always provide two workers, which means my house gets 5 hours of dedicated housekeeping every week. I highly recommend Ms. Vega and Marigold Housekeeping.  They are tops!!
