The screens are good quality but not for people with pets. The screen is so sheer that it is almost invisible. My dog runs straight through the screen. When I got my estimate, the owner said that the screen could stretch out and recover if a dog went through. It did recover, but my dog did it a couple more times and destroyed it. My small dog would lift the bottom and walk through it too. Within a year, I had them come back out to repair it and it cost me about $150 to rescreen it. It looked good after the repair and I added a baby gate to slow down my dog. It's annoying I have to add the baby gate. I might just go back to no screen at all. Too expensive and too fragile. I have another one on my front door and it works fine because no pets go in or out. read more

Recently the screen got damaged (several potential culprits) and needed to be replaced and the scheduling process was easy and convenient. The replacement itself went quickly and smoothly as well. We installed French doors in our bedroom, finally replacing an outdated slider, and within a day, we realized the problem: bugs. How do you put a screen on French doors?! After doing some research, there were two options for retractable, hidden screens: ClearView and Phantom. Since I have small children and don't want anyone's hands getting snapped with the snap-back function of the Phantom, I chose ClearView without hesitation. They promptly scheduled the measuring and installation, and now we have practically invisible screens that allow us to keep our French doors open all the time! They are so good that you can't even tell they're there and may even forget and walk into them! Shawn was the tech who came out. I had to call to see when they may arrive now that it was about a half hour out of the time window they said they would arrive. They updated the time he was to arrive and he did show up with in the new time. Shawn was efficient and got in and out in a short time. We have had our screens for maybe 8 years. Our dogs have gone through them a couple times now and when I'm unable to fix them my self I call in the Pro's. Thanks for the great product and the service to keep them moving properly. Just had our retractable screen door installed over the weekend and we couldn't be any happier with the product. When the sun is not shining directly onto it, we don't even notice the screen is there until we are really close to it. Fortunately our toddler and small dog are aware that the screen is there, so haven't had any issues with them (or anyone) accidentally walking into it. We love that it doesn't just snap shut if you let go of the handle. The bottom part of the screen is not sealed however so a small dog could possibly fit thru underneath if they really tried. Installation took maybe about an hour and it was done very cleanly. I would highly recommend ClearView if you are looking for a retractable screen. read more

Beware! I placed an order for retractable screen door for my outswing French doors in mid-June 2022 (we live in Saratoga). We have 3 sets of French doors but wanted to see how the install went on the 1st one before shelling out $$ doing the other two since they are not cheap. Boy was that a good decision! Dan physically came out to look at our door and take measurements of the French door before placing the order for the screens. Once he measured, we paid him $300 deposit (they wanted more but that's another story behind the deposit too). They said the screens would be ready to install in about 2-4 weeks. On the day of the install, one of their installers (Anthony) came out to install but when he saw our door he realized that Dan didn't let them know that they would need to cut a part of our door from bottom (that was surprising to us also) in order to install the screen. But guess what, the installer didn't have his Dremel tool with him to cut the small piece of wooden door to install the screen (apparently another installer had it - which surprised my wife and I since I would think this is a basic tool to have handy if you are an installer). The installer said he'd come back 2 days later to install with the tool. Well, the eve before the scheduled install he calls again to let me know that they can't find the Dremel tool and that he'd have to reschedule to next week since he has other install appointments to do. I asked him why can't they simply go to home depot to buy the tool (not expensive whatsoever) and it won't take them more than 30 mins from my house and he said well "front office doesn't like to bill that way". So essentially because of their internal miscommunication and processes of tool purchasing, I got bumped off my appointment and now I was in the back of their queue and have to wait for them to find a slot to come out?? I would've have expected them to fit me in asap and move another appointment out since I was already on their list. I called the front office and spoke with Ashley and the same story. I'm still perplexed that a company that routinely installs door screens wouldn't have a necessary tool with them when they come to install? This seems very fundamental thing to have with them. Not sure if this is a very small company or simply mismanaged but at that point I told them to cancel my order (I lost out on my deposit of $300) but I had lost all my trust with them and wasn't about to let them work on my expensive French doors. Luckily, I only put in the order for 1 French door instead of 3 or else I would've lost a lot more money. I went with another supplier/installer for screen doors and am very happy with how they are treating me. If you go with ClearView, be careful about your deposit since you may end up losing it! read more

Me and my family have enjoyed their power sun screens on our california room 1st and 2nd floor for many years. Recently, I purchased a security screen door from a different company to be installed right next to clearview's sun screen. The sales rep had suggested me to hire clearview to remove the sun screen as it might affect installation. After contacting clearview about the situation, Dan, the owner, even gave me his private phone number to communicate. We went through all the possible options to see if it was necessary to spend the money. After going back and forth, it was discovered that the sun screen removal was not needed to install the security screen doors. Love my new retractable ClearView screen. I've been wanting a retractable screen for years on my French doors, and now that I have them, I am beyond happy. Doug did a great job, came out the same day I called him, he sent me an estimate by e-mail for the job, I accepted it on the e-mail, and he had it ordered! This is my review of Doug--our installer, not the product. Doug had to come to our home three times for a job that should have been satisfactorily completed on the first visit. The first time he failed to check to see if he had the entire order with him before coming to our home. We have out-swinging French patio doors. He only brought one screen door. The second time he came only my husband was here. He installed the doors but placed the latch on the outside of the door so one would have to go outside of the house to lock the screen in place. The third time he came, he called his mistake "my issue." When I asked him how he could make such an obvious mistake, he said, "It did not present itself as a concern of note." He had left the job without testing the closure and without demonstrating the same to my husband. (As an aside, he left a mess in the backyard that my husband had to ask him to clean up.) On the third visit he offered a lame excuse that only 10 percent of the doors sold are like the ones I ordered. Finally, his attitude was less than professional. In my view, if I had come to a job without the complete order the first time, I would work extra hard on my return visit to ensure the customer's satisfaction. In other words, I would show good faith by going the extra mile. Doug did not even see fit to do the minimum. And on the third visit, he was cavalier and dismissive rather than apologetic. I had a very disappointing experience trying to give this company some of my business which, according to quotes I received from Shawn Graham, Sr. Installer, would have amounted to around $15k. Initially I gave Elysia my front door measurements for retractable screens and she quoted me $1098.00. I was not told that's their base price even though she knew I wanted locks on the doors. When Shawn came out rather than give me a price sheet he said that price was a base price and locks and magnets were extra. Already I found I was mislead, either by accident or on purpose. Didn't matter. Next he took measurements for motorized awnings and quoted me "$55" which meant $5500 and "$75" for $7500. Why didn't he just be straight with me? He said saying $5500 was too intimidating. Wow! Not professional! Then he actually said those prices were negotiable. "The more I bought the less everything would be." He said he would get back to me with the prices and when I gave him my email address he said usually he quotes the prices verbally. I insisted they be in writing for obvious reasons. I had scheduled my electrician to install the necessary outlets under my roof and had to request the specs for the awning. Since he had no idea where that would be installed Shawn scheduled a return visit to mark on my house stucco how high the awnings would be. While I waited for my emailed quote the next day I received a surprise email from the president, Andrew Lezotte, in which he told me they "could not go ahead with my job, that his supplier use to give just about 100% perfection all the time and now they are only satisfied about 50% of the time, it causes us a ton of headaches and makes us look bad to our customers." I'll leave it up to you, the reader of this review, to draw your own conclusions. You have to ask yourself, why would he send out his installer who took up a good 3 hours of my time on a work evening, when this company could not provide a quality product? Yet the installer bragged about all the business he has in Blackhawk. Just amazing! read more
