Their bagels are superb! The shop is clean and well-lit. I'd been thinking about this bagel shop all morning but was busy and since I now have to get to work at 7:30 am, I was bummed. I discovered that they DoorDash! Great! I can DoorDash pickup for breakfast and lunch! WIN! I tried to Doordash an order for pick-up and it wouldn't take PayPal, so I tried Venmo and that wasn't good. Then I tried a CC. Boom-success! I was excited! Then I got a message that the establishment wouldn't be open at the time I needed my order: at 10:15 am! Yelp and their Instagram account, say they're open. I'm busy today and only get a 30 min lunch. I was going to walk over on my break but my break is over. I can't even do delivery because on DoorDash they're closed! Oh well. Stopped in this morning on my way to work! Cute little café, lots, and lots of decor! Love the smell of fresh bagels, so that was nice. Everybody was very nice and polite. That's where the two stores come in. Other than that, I wouldn't give them any stars, the food is extremely overpriced! $5.50 for a bagel with butter? That's ridiculous. I understand this is a family business and I understand things are handmade, but that is price gouging! And completely over the top. The bagel was nice and soft, but kind of tasteless. Very little butter was on there as well. And they don't give you anything on the side to add more butter. I would not recommend! I am really really sad. I had been coming to Clearwater Bagel for a long time, but since I had to watch my carb intake for the last few months, I had not been by for awhile. About a week ago, I asked my BF to pick us up lox bagels for breakfast.. when he got there he sent me a picture of the inside of the place. Huh?! Where's the asian man that normally runs the front of the cafe? It had a new look, with a guy behind the counter in a chef's outfit and new everything! My bf said the lox bagels were now $9.75.. I said, fine, so long as it is the same bagel, I don't mind. So he purchased them and brought them home (we are literally 3-4 blocks away). We are not picky eaters, and Clearwater Bagel has been my fave bagel place since I was little. My bf did not finish his lox bagel. He had started his first and told me the bagel was underbaked. I didn't entirely believe him, so I tried mine.. and sure enough, underbaked as well. He had gotten his on an everything bagel, and mine was whole wheat--so it wasn't just our types of bagel, it seems to be maybe all of them? I tore a piece of the bagel away from mine to make sure it wasn't my mind playing tricks on me... and sure enough, the middle of the bread was dark and damp, obviously underbaked, giving a gross squishy texture anytime we bit into the bagel. There was also only a single layer of lox on the bagel, not much for an almost $10 price tag. This is very disappointing. I may try again in a few months, but if this is a sample of what to expect from the new ownership.. I need to find a new bagel place. read more

This place is THE BEST. Super affordable quality NY style bagels with a huge variety of flavors and toppings. Great local spot that's been a community favorite for decades! Their aloha bagel (toasted coconut and sugar) with jalapeño cream cheese is one of my favorites- perfect mix of sweet and spicy!! and their jalapeño cream cheese is actually full of real jalapeño chunks.. full of spice! :) gets pretty busy in the mornings but usually not too bad of a wait (but try to get here when they open at 8 am as people do start to line up before doors even open). I stopped by here for a Yelp Elite week perk but also to get another bagel on the side so I will be purely reviewing for that latter purchasing experience and also for the deliciousness of everything I got! I got a garlic bagel with nox and a sundried tomato bagel with an iced coffee. The garlic bagel was, dare I say, beautiful - it's not everyday you see a bagel with perfectly and evenly distributed bits of garlic. And the nox was tasty without being overpowering. I also really liked the iced coffee, which was smooth and just sweet enough. Also, kudos to the owner, who I witnessed enforce the no mask no service policy. Been a customer for over 10+ years, from the original owners to now the "new" owners... Every time I'm nearby, I try to stop by to grab a few bagels if they are still open, since they close at 1 pm. Their bagels are still the best in the area, fresh, fluffy, soft, great texture, and flavorful. If we have smoked salmon at home, it's an even better addition to their bagels. Wonderful service! They really go above and beyond to make sure you know all the bagel options and types of cream cheese flavors! Bagel is nice and toasted perfectly not too hard not too soft. And idk what sauce they put in the bagel sandwich but it was fantastic. I also got the blended chai drink and it was really good! There are still places that make it better but it was solid Also love the social distancing measures they're taking to keep the place safe. The best bagel spot I've tried in the area. The owners are so nice and friendly. The bagels are delicious. Not too soft like some other places I won't mention. It's a very cute corner store that is usually busy (which says a lot), because it's really good. My go to is the cucumber avocado with lemons pepper and capers. The club bagel sandwich is good. I was desperately craving a lox bagel, and was so happy to find out that a bagel shop right next to me carried them! The reviews for Clearwater made me excited to try it as well. You're able to customize your bagel by selecting what bagel you want as your base. The lax bagel was around $12. Although the staff was super nice and service was fast (only waited around 5-10 minutes), the lox bagel was not up to my expectations! I thought that it was wayyy too salty, and although I love cream cheese, they slathered so much onto the bagel that it tasted very off. At first, I thought the capers is what made it too salty, so I removed them, but it was still really salty. I later found out it was the bagel and the smoked salmon that was literally drenched in salt. read more

Genuinely the best bagel spot I've ever tried! Everything is made fresh that morning and they also have homemade cream cheeses which are my absolute favorite. They close over winter break (same time schools are out) and I will be ordering a plethora of their jalapeno cream cheese to keep me sane through winter. They also have a huge variety of bagels so there really is something for everyone! One thing to add, if you want to purchase loose bagels, especially in high quantities, you MUST call at least 24 hours ahead of time (which I am unsure why people complain about when it makes perfect sense). If they make everything fresh that morning and some bozo comes in taking a 6 of one type of bagel, other people don't get to enjoy that bagel! I saw another review say "Why don't they make more of their popular bagels" but they do! That doesn't mean they have enough for someone to take home that many when they make what they expect to sell. If they made too much, it'd be a waste. It's common sense. They're a small business so definitely be patient with their time, especially in the morning when they're really busy. However, the two people I always see working there (one man & one woman) are so sweet and you can tell they're working hard. I used to come here often to get bagels first thing in the morning. Every once in a while, I'll grab a few more to share with my friends. This place has ok/decent bagels, but the lady at the counter has terrible customer service and a horrible attitude. I've always left this bagel store feeling conflicted because of how rudely I'm treated. I started going to Panera instead so that I don't have to deal with her. My friends, who really liked the bagels here from when I brought it for them, came here on their own, skeptical of my story and hoping that it's just my experience. I am originally from NY and I sure was spoiled with fantastic bagels growing up, until I moved to California and found the bagels to generally be not as good. Clearwater Bagels is an exception.
