Some days you will have a prompt waiter/waitress with a positive attitude and other days you may find yourself with a server that wishes they weren't at work. The food depends on what you order and seems to be hit or miss. The burgers are consistently good. Pass on the Sunday brunch. Twice in recent weeks we have TRIED to get a to-go order for their Ribs and both times our requests have been TOTALLY DISREGARDED. When one goes inside and orders Ribs, they come to your table hot AND with the Bar-B-Q sauce on top. On the previous order we received really COLD ribs in a foil pan, with the sauce in little tubs. The ribs had to be cooked in the oven, with us pouring the sauce over them as they cooked. The order was really screwed up, and we wound up paying for sides that were not in the to go bag. Our dinner had to be delayed for an hour which caused great inconvenience! We decided to give them another chance to prove they could follow instructions & ordered ribs to go again this past Sunday for a birthday celebration. We asked the to-go order person, whose name was Drew, to please make sure the Bar-B-Q sauce was placed on top of the ribs AND make sure they were HOT when we picked them up. We were assured they would be. Again, we got ribs that had been heated, but NO SAUCE on them. SO - delaying our dinner once again, we had to heat up the oven, pour the sauce over the ribs and heat them in the oven. The salad that came with the dinners was very soggy as could be on the bottom. The tomatoes, cucumbers, etc., were "chopped", and chopped items especially those made up ahead of time, become really soggy. SO - once again Clearwater failed to meet our expectations. We suggest that if the owner of this restaurant can no longer deliver meals that are prepared correctly that he sells this restaurant to someone that will. We need a good restaurant in this area and if only they listen to what is being requested, Clearwater could once again be one. Right now, it is failing miserably. Average local eatery- good grub and a decent happy hour. I've had good service at best, never spectacular. Even drinks take forever to get to the table. The staff is very kind; some of the sweetest people you'll meet. There are times I love going to the bar because the atmosphere. I just want my food to the table in a timely manner. UPDATE: Service is on the decline. Even though they're right outside my neighborhood, I'm not going back. Always short staffed, always takes forever to get food, and my order is always messed up. We ordered online for curbside pickup. First off, their prices were great I thought. We ordered 3 entrees, 3 kids meals and an appetizer for under $100. The gouda mac'n cheese was so good! The steak was cooked as ordered, the crab cake was good sized and seasoned well and my son loved his cheese burger. We spent time going through the menu and choosing but I did not see the Brisket or Pulled pork as an option so I called. Thank goodness I did or who knows what would have happened to my order??? We've been to the Clearwater Grill quite a few times and always ordered lunch from the menu. It's always been pretty good so today (08/05/18) we decided to try out the Sunday Brunch. What a disappointment. The restaurant was practically empty when we arrived at 1.00pm and we were seated immediately. Our server came to take our order (she was very sweaty; I know it was hot today but come on, wipe your face please!). Drinks ordered we headed to the buffet. There was a good selection of the usual breakfast foods and a couple of lunch dishes (mac and cheese or chicken nuggets). Sat down with our food and everything was cold. Not just room temp but stone cold. Like it had been sat there for ages. Told the server and she just walked off. No offer to heat anything up for us, no apology, nothing! Finished what we could, declined to go for seconds and asked for the bill. Asked the server if she had told the kitchen the food was cold. She explained that the gel heaters under the dishes had gone out so they had replaced them. Still no apology but she did offer to take 15% off the bill so better than nothing. And here's the thing. When they replaced the heating gel under the buffet dishes, that food was already cold. Now it's being gently warmed up again??? At no point was any of the food taken back into the kitchen to be heated properly. I know this because I could see the service area from my seat. Buffet with a side of food poisoning anyone? Terrible experience at Clearwater with Ants and bad service. I had heard so many positive things so a group of 4 of us decided to go for lunch. We ordered 4 burgers which took 45min to get. They weren't busy at all. The wrong types of burgers were brought out and taken back then we were told the food was over cooked so they have to redo them. Another 15 minutes passes by before we got food. All the while we were killing ants with our napkins at our table. Once we got our food we moved tables to avoid the ants. I asked to put in a to go order for when we're getting ready to leave when we ordered our food initially. Our waitress said give me the order now and I'll put it in for you when you're finishing up. We paid our checks and sat around for about 20 mins finishing our drinks and talking. My friends left and I was stuck waiting for my to go order. I went to the bar, my waitress forgot about it entirely. She ran across the restaurant and came back to say it's gunna be some more time and handed me another check because she forgot to ring it up. I waited another 15 minutes and finally got the food. The manager comped the to go order but it did not make up for this awful afternoon. read more

This was an odd experience. I ordered something from the menu that said it comes with soup or salad and bread. When no bread arrived, I asked the waitress about it. She said they only serve the bread if the customer asks for it specifically. She said that too many customers waste the bread so they don't bring it unless asked -- even though the menu says it is provided with the meal. Also, we heard there was some kind of argument in the kitchen and the cook quit. So management was doing the cooking. The food was decent and they waitress was trying to be helpful. However, it sounds like this place has management and serving policy problem. read more

I really wanted to give this place good reviews. Unfortunately had a negative reaction of this place for the following reason. Had two area for this place an upper section and lower section. Upper section was nice well lit wooden floor plenty of available tables, but unfortunately had to sit in the lower section with low light and a floor that looked like my basement. Tea or water were the only drink choice. The wait for food was longer then expected for being only four other diners in the place and was brought out in three phases. Food was good and my fries when they showed up half way of eating my meal were good. Daughter watched me eat while she still waited for her buffalo wings appetizer she wanted as main meal. I've tried eating here a couple of times and for the most part it's not bad, I would rather drink here but even then it's not my first choice. The food seems kinda bland and I feel like the restaurant itself is kinda dirty. They are definitely the type of place that rather lay traps and poison in and around the restaurant then actually fix the structural damage to prevent their bug and rodent issues. We had a great time playing there last night, and The Steele Rose Band wishes to extend a big THANK YOU to the management and staff at Clearwater Grill. The food is GREAT, and our service was outstanding. Jared worked his tail off all night waiting on the seven of us and we left him an extra 20 at the bar when we left. I had the Ribeye... nice, well marbled and grilled to perfection. Other members of our group had Firecracker Shrimp, a Reuben with fries, the Crab Dip... all excellent. My husband and I were very disappointed with the Sunday Brunch we had 2/1/20. We used to go a few years ago and it was good, but that isn't the case now. The sausage gravy was cold, the scrambled eggs were over cooked and dry and the waffles to order was doughty. The couple that sat next to us ordered a omelet with mushrooms, spinach and cheddar cheese because she don't eat meat, guess what, she got bacon on it. We won't be doing that again. read more

Ate here twice in the past two weeks. Really wanted to like this place since it's close. The first time was really good. Almost left a five star review. Very friendly service and great food. Got a burger and the smoked wings and they were both good. About a week later, ordered the same thing for pickup and it was absolutely terrible. The "smoked" wings had no smoke flavor and were burnt to a crisp. Literally no good meat on them. It's like they sat in the smoker the entire day. The burger was overcooked and mediocre at best. The fries were soggy and soaked in oil. Really disappointed because the first visit was great. Only reason for two stars was the great service. Maybe it was just a bad day for them but I was probably won't be coming back here. read more

We've been here a number of times since moving into the area last fall, and have been pleased every time. Service has been consistently good -- we've had the same server a few times, and she remembers us every time! If only our memories were as good as hers, so we could give her a shout-out... :/ We've always gotten the Firecracker Shrimp (love 'em!) and burgers. The servings are generous and and the food cooked just right; the burgers are juicy and flavorful, the fries nice and crispy, the beers good and cold. We do wish they'd add patty melts to the menu, but have no complaints about anything we've ordered. I think we're about due to head back there again soon... ;) read more

Here we are talking solely about Sunday brunch. A full blown buffet that is a throwback to the 70's and at a VERY reasonable price! Brunch buffets are going the way of the dinosaur and those under $13 probably don't exist anywhere. First the good news: if you haven't been there the Clearwater grill is a nice comfortable full service restaurant with youthful, pleasant servers. (Although they could be more available during the brunch - even though I understand it is a self serve buffet.) Complete with a omelet/waffle chef who is personable and very good at what he does! Top of the line experience there. Now the bad news: stated brunch hours are 10 - 2. We arrived at 12:30 - indeed one of the last to arrive. However they were completely out of bacon and I am not sure if it would have been replenished at all had I not inquired. There was a full tureen of nice-looking sausage gravy fronted by an empty platter and no sign of biscuits - or any other form of starch anywhere. And there would be none for the duration of our visit. Likewise there was a toaster with nothing anywhere to put in it. I picked up what I thought was a hunk of pumpernickel bread with the tongs made a move towards the toaster when thankfully my nose signaled me it was actually some hard chocolate cake... Otherwise the food was standard brunch buffet. Scrambled eggs, sausage, French toast, etc - nothing to write home about but all fine for what they were. So the omelet was awesome, and I heard rave reviews of his Belgian waffles as well. But no bacon, biscuits or even a loaf of white bread with 90 minutes left in the brunch? But still lets go back to the price... Compare that to a brunch buffet downtown.... Ok, you get what you pay for. In this case not too bad. read more

Clearwater Grill catered my wedding and it was amazing! The food was absolutely incredible, people are still talking to me about it! What was even better than the food (which is saying a lot) was the service. From the start Nathan the catering manager was a god send. When we went down for the tasting he had a full spread set up for us and walked us through each dish. He helped us narrow down the options and find ways to SAVE money. I thought choosing a caterer would be a long awkward drawn out process but with Clearwater it was quick professional and honestly enjoyable. The day of service was the same. They showed up on time and had everything set up perfect. The wait staff was attentive, polite and fun! We provided our own alcohol and desserts and they had no problem helping serve and set up both. During the cocktail hours they did a great job and even brought us a special tray of food during pictures. Whats more is that Nathan personally made plates for my wife and I so that we could enjoy the food. I can not recommend or speak highly enough about Clearwater Grill catering. Our wedding was an amazing, unforgettable experience and Nathan and his team were a major reason why. read more

Went here with my family to celebrate my mothers birthday. While it was an ok establishment, I don't think I would venture here often- I just wasn't impressed. The venue- clean and decent layout, but it was a bit warm in there (it has been crazy hot recently so I can understand if AC was trying its hardest to keep the place cool). The food- mediocre. For starters we had crab and spinach dip which seemed to be a hit (I cant vouch as I had none, but everyone loved them both). For entrees I had a chicken salad, sister has chicken/broccoli pasta, mom and BIL had a steak. Everyone liked their dishes, but they also didn't seem too impressed. Just meh. Service- we had great service. Our waiter was fun and interacted with my pre-teen niece and nephew, and let them sing happy birthday to their grandmother on the stage with a mic. He was also attentive, quick, and very pleasant. Overall its an ok place if you want standard American grill fare and don't want to travel far. read more

Nice atmosphere and good food. Very convenient location to where we stay every summer.

The atmosphere was nice and so was our server. We ordered 2 side salads with Blue Cheese Dressing, a Big Fish Sandwich and a Rocky Balboa burger. They brought bread while we waited. OK the bread tasted old but we ate it because we were hungry. The salads were small but nice but the dressing - YUCK! Mayo with blue cheese in it. As for the fish sandwich it was beyond greasy but after we smashed it between napkins was edible. The burger however I order Med it came out rare and when I pushed down on it blood went all over my plate. The waitress took it back and put in another order. They rushed to get a new one out but the new one was so salty I couldn't eat it. The manager came out and explained that they rushed to fix the second one and got too much seasoning in it. He picked up our bill which was nice. It is why I gave 3 stars instead of 1. We will try again at some point. I believe in giving second chances so we will see. read more

We ordered take out the other night. Very simple order two bacon cheeseburgers add tomato, wings, and cheesecake. My husband went out to get it and tipped them $9. After he left I got a phone call that they forgot to add the cheese and to the bag and would he come back and get it. Of course I said no, take it off my bill. My opinion is that if anyone is coming out to support local restaurants at this time and tipping $9 on to go orders then everything should be correct. Then he gets home with the burgers, which we're sloppily put together and didn't even have that tomato we requested. We ate our meal, with no cheesecake, used our own tomatoes and discussed how this would possibly be the last time we eat at Clearwater. Every single time we go we either get a crappy meal or horrible service. I've tried over and over again, but we are just done taking chances. I will give them credit they have good broccoli. Had lunch there today, Friday, May 25, with friends. Was our first time there after thinking about going several times. The atmosphere was nice, busy for lunch on a Friday. The menu was extensive, with many types of food. They have a bar area and a sit down family eating area. I enjoyed my soup and salad very much. The soup was home made. The salad was exceptional. Home made champagne vinegar dressing with very good mix of greens, cranberries, roasted pecans, cucumber, thinly sliced purple onions and tomatoes. Perfect amount for a lunch. The only downside was how long it took to get our meals. The waitress was very good, not over bearing but receptive. We will try this place again since it was a nice place, appropriate prices for appropriate sized plates of food, and good service. read more
