Been here once before, and friend wanted to try it out for her birthday. Recommended doing the Feed Me option since we were a large group and have done it before. Multiple courses were provided and everything was made off menu as well since it was chefs choice. They also did an amazing job creating a separate dish for one of our friends who has a gluten allergy, it would either be a different dish or the same dish but gluten free. Everything was amazing and would come back again.

Ricotta Cavetelli was amazing. The plates don't come with sides so we ordered and shared this plate as our side dish.

I took my boys to dinner during the week and we had a great time. The service was attentive and outstanding. Our glasses were never empty as the staff works together to make sure patrons are taken care of throughout their meal. They have outside seating with small fans for each table which is a smart touch. I'm glad we had the AC inside with the TX heat.

Food & service are very good. Tried the price fix menu and it was very indulgent. The variety was excellent. We tried a total of eight different items. All of them delivered a unique flavor and texture experience.

Went here for my birthday dinner and it was amazing! The food was super high quality and the service was excellent. The menu was honestly a bit hard to read and figure out what I wanted? But the server was able to guide us on what to order.

Wifey made reservations for our anniversary and booked us a spot at the bar area. From here we were able to get a great view of the kitchen and staff working on orders. Food - 5/5: Taste presentation and creativity. We decided to order five or six different items from their starter menu instead of going with the entrées. Every thing we ordered was exquisite, and we really appreciate the care taken on each plate. We got the beet salad, oysters, octopus, scallops, and the chaat. Service - 5/5: attentive and friendly. The place was busy and bustling, but we didn't see a single accident so that's a good thing Ambiance - 3/5: crowded for sure and a little on the noisy side. I kept forgetting to keep my elbows rocked in so a few bumps from servers over the course of the evening but nothing major ! Definitely will go back for different selections!

Clementine was highly recommended for my visit to San Antonio. Reservations were easy to make online. Clementine is located in a strip mall. As many of the other reviews have mentioned, the location and interior did not really match the quality of the food and service. The inside is comfortable and not pretentious. For dinner, I ordered the Grilled Summer Okra, Squid Ink Angel Hair pasta, and the Honey Creme Brûlée for dessert. All of the dishes were delicious, well seasoned and honored what was in season at the moment. Portions are actually a decent size for the price. Service was top notch. My water was always filled and they checked in on me consistently. Overall, Clementine still lives up to the hype!

Had a reservation here for dinner last night. They have seating outside. With a nice setup, each one has a small fan that you can use attached to the table, and they have about two other big fans up higher, blowing down in the section outside. We got a nice seat by the window, which was nice. Didn't take long for us to get a menu and water. Our service was very nice and welcoming, We decided to get the - FEED ME (see below) We all have days when we don't want to make any more decisions or need inspiration to try something new. Entrust Chef Russ with your dining experience, and he and his team will create a menu especially for you, highlighting the season's flavors. After we selected what we wanted from the menu, our server asked about dietary restrictions for the "Feed Me", which was nice. I was a bit nervous, but it was also exciting. Every dish that came out was delicious, and the presentation was beautiful. I can't remember all I had to eat other than eating it all and enjoying every bite. The dessert was delicious at the end of the meal.

I came here to celebrate my anniversary. The atmosphere was very nice and we enjoyed eating the food. We did make a reservation in advance because it seemed like this place gets busy. There is an outdoor patio but you know Texas, it can be hot. The food was terrific! We kept everything vegetarian at our table and still was great. They were even able to help make the veggie friendly. The mushroom salad and hush puppies were wonderful starters. I got the sweet potato gnocchi and I loved it. I was worried that the blue cheese would be overpowering but not at all. You have to save some room for dessert. The cardamom donuts and coffee ice cream was a great way to end the meal and paired perfectly together.

My new favorite restaurant in San Antonio! I loved the tasting menu. It was more than enough food and literally got to try 3 different desserts which was the Cherry on top. The service was top notch and food coming out was timely for a tasting menu. I already know om coming back soon!

I waited too long to book reservation so all we could get was "Counter" at 5 PM. We wanted something different so we booked it. It was the best seat in the house. You are literally watching the kitchen and Chef John and Chef Elise. They are a couple that are in charge of the kitchen. Wine selection by the glass is limited and the prices are high. Let me explain. The kitchen is really small. Chef Elise is watching tickets and barking orders and Chef John inspects every plate that leaves the kitchen and adding finishing touches. The flat top is so small. We noticed when they cook steaks they cook for a while and pull it off. We asked what was going on and it was explained they cook for a bit, then let it rest and then cook again until they get to medium rare. I started with the beet salad that was very flavorful. My wife opted for the mushroom salad. It was also very flavorful. For entrees I ordered the snapper and my wife, the burger. The snapper was very good and the burger was excellent. I just wish the fish portion was larger. And the burger without any sides for $25 seems overpriced. Fries are not a thing here as they have one small fryer. What else did I notice? Entrees don't come with anything else. Like a naked piece of fish on a plate. Some potatoes or a vegetable would be nice given the entree price. The menu doesn't appear to include salad greens, potatoes, pasta sans one dish, or rice. They don't offer traditional lettuce salads. And there is no bread service. You can order sourdough with whipped ricotta for $15, but not an option for some bread and butter or oil. It was a good experience, but I didn't leave filling full. I respect the chef and the concept, but we won't be back.

Came here for a date night/bday celebration. Has been on our list for a while and finally decided to check it out. Recommend making a reservation in advance because it definitely gets busy. They have an a la carte menu or a Feed Me option for $88/person which is their version of an omakase. They make dishes with whatever ingredients they picked up for the day. 5 savory dishes and 1 sweet was how the server advertised it. We went with the Feed Me. 1. The heirloom tomato salad was light and refreshing. 2. Seafood potpourri was ok, it was severely lacking in flavor. It had a citrus kick with their mix but it was very bland. 3. Potato dish was very savory with their butter/cream sauce 4. Risotto was also savory but lacked any sort of texture. Was a bit too liquidy for my liking. 5. Halibut was the best dish. Cooked very well and had all the flavors from garlic, umami, salt, and I think a little bit of tahini. Whatever sauce they made was excellent. 6. Meringue w/ tropical sorbet was not too sweet and the sorbet was delicious. Overall a positive experience. However, the price we're paying for the ingredients/types of dishes that were served to the quality of some of the dishes fell a little shy and didn't exactly meet the hype of our expectations. I will definitely give this place another try however.

Ask the Community - Clementine San Antonio

How would you rate outside seating?

It is more of a sidewalk converted to a patio from what I saw. There is traffic from Military and the intersection right there also. Inside is a much better option.

Is this beer and wine only or is there a full bar?

It's BEER & WINE only, there is no full bar.

Is there a dress code? Will jeans and a nice shirt be okay?

Yes, jeans n nice shirt will be great. I hope you enjoy Clementine as much as I did.

Are friendly dogs welcome on the patio?

    Yes!

    Do they have outdoor seating?

Hi Albert, We do! We also have heaters and blankets now that the weather has cooled down a bit.…

Unfortunately, I didn't get any pictures because the experience was disappointing from the moment…read moreour food arrived. My husband and I had been trying to eat at Bobby's Southern Kitchen for at least 2-3 years. Every time we'd stopped before, the wait was around 2 1/2 hours, and since we were always passing through on our way home to Houston, we never had enough time to stay. This time, we planned our morning around finally getting to eat here. We had spent the weekend in San Antonio and were driving to Dallas before heading home, so we made a point of arriving shortly after opening (a little after 8:00 a.m.). There was no wait, we were seated immediately, and our waitress was wonderful. I wish I could remember her name because she was friendly, attentive, and did everything she could. Our food came out quickly, probably within 15 minutes, but that's where things went downhill. The food wasn't hot. Mine was warm enough to eat, but my husband's breakfast was actually cold. His hash browns were cold, his sausage patties were cold, and since he's someone who really enjoys his food served hot, it immediately ruined the meal for him. We let our waitress know, and she came back to take only the hash browns from his plate. That surprised us because most restaurants would prepare a fresh order rather than reheating part of the original meal. When the hash browns came back, they still weren't hot enough, so unfortunately they didn't solve the problem. For me, the food itself actually had good flavor. I ordered the sausage biscuit with soft scrambled eggs, sausage patties, and a side of grits. The biscuit was good, the eggs were cooked just the way I like them, and the grits were honestly one of the best parts of the meal. They were creamy, had a great consistency, and were well-seasoned with really good flavor. If everything had been served hotter, I honestly think I would have loved my breakfast. My husband ordered a simple breakfast with eggs over medium, toast, sausage patties, and hash browns. I don't necessarily think the food itself was bad I think serving it cold completely changed his experience. What makes this especially disappointing is that we arrived shortly after opening, so we expected everything to be fresh and piping hot. I honestly don't know what happened that morning, but after waiting years to finally try Bobby's, it just didn't live up to the anticipation. The service was excellent, the food had good flavor, and I truly wanted to love this place. I just can't overlook being served a breakfast that wasn't hot, especially first thing in the morning. I hope this was just an off day because I'd like to believe our experience wasn't the norm.

This is southern comfort food turned all the way up and they don't believe in small portions!…read more I went straight for The Morning Wrecker, and this breakfast is an absolute beast. Imagine a towering, layer-stacked masterpiece built around a massive fluffy scratch-made biscuit, crispy golden hash browns, a beautifully breaded and fried chicken fried steak, and two perfectly cooked over easy eggs. Then, because apparently that wasn't enough, the whole thing is drenched in rich, creamy country sausage gravy and finished with a generous blanket of shredded cheddar cheese. Every bite hits a different note, the buttery, tender biscuit, the crunch of the hash browns, the savory crust on the chicken fried steak, the richness of the sausage gravy, and that salty, melty cheddar bringing everything together. It's indulgent, unapologetically Southern, and exactly the kind of breakfast that makes you want to take a nap afterward. And the service was excellent. Friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming from start to finish. Just come hungry... The Morning Wrecker does not play around.
