I went ahead and tried on the remaining dresses and I found a second one I liked, but she was not able to order my size, so I went with my first choice. The good thing about this store is that there is no hidden cost for alterations, she has one set cost. They were able to hold my dress for a week and when I came back we did the alterations and I had my dress in less than a week. No additional cost for short term alterations. Brides Country also has affordable veils starting at $30. I enjoyed the complete experience.

She was 1 out of 7 on the list given to me by my bridal shop and her positive aura made her stand out. First off, she was the ONLY seamstress that congratulated me on getting engaged. Her reaction and mannerisms were very genuine and sincere. Work: I unfortunately picked a difficult dress for my body type. I am a petite girl with short torso with small breast & I was told by the bridal shop that it would be an easy fix. However, it was not that simple. I took it to another seamstress (before Alisa) that could not help me at all & completely stressed me out. Luckily I found Alisa & she was confident in helping me! She is also very knowledgeable and knows exactly what she's doing. She knows her designers and recognized my dress & confirmed she has worked with it before. She was able to shorten the torso without changing the look of the dress, AMAZING!! She also fixed my breast cups & customized my sleeves. She use to design wedding gowns so she can build pretty much anything! She is very humble & always in a good positive mood which helps brides during this stressful time. Response time: She is so quick and will typically call if she has questions. Her communication is so good!! Keep in mind she is a very busy lady, but her response time is reasonable, within a few hours or day of. I recommend Alisa to anyone getting married and wants their dress to be the most perfect custom fit. I regret not seeing them…read moreearlier, as it may have saved me significant time, though nothing can undo the stress leading up to my daughter's wedding. I was given a referral from Colby Bridal, and I have since asked that she be removed from their recommendation list given the outcome of my experience. Alisa persuaded me not to return my MOB dress for a smaller size, promising it would be flawlessly tailored within three weeks. Instead, she quickly pivoted and altered it incorrectly. At my first fitting, just a week in, she said "Donna Karan doesn't make them like she used to," which signaled early on that she either lacked the skill or the willingness to execute the work properly. At that point, it was obvious the dress was not going to be handled with the level of care or expertise promised, and I should have taken it elsewhere immediately, except I had to pay $340 in full upfront. As my daughter's out-of-state wedding approached, the dress remained unfinished; I even paid $80 for pressing, which was never done. On pickup--two days before leaving--it was incomplete, unpressed, and I was told she was "so sick of working on such a shitty designed dress" and that her iron "couldn't handle it." After one last day, I returned to find it still unfinished, with a damaged zipper that made it unwearable. With less than 24 hours before traveling, I had to franticly find another seamstress out of state to fix everything properly the week before the wedding. What should have cost about $300 ended up exceeding $700, including a tip for the women who saved the day. Having to have more fittings and not receiving a wearable dress until the night before created an enormous amount of avoidable stress leading up to the wedding. The professionalism and skill level of the NEW seamstress to fix Alisa's mistakes including replacing the zipper Alisa ripped and ruined and taking it in on the sides; as it should have been done, in such a short amount of time was remarkable! This reflects a clear lack of professionalism, experience and skill level on Alisa's part. Sadly, she overpromised, poorly executed, and ultimately returned an unusable garment. Based on the pattern in responses to other negative reviews on google, I fully expect this to be deflected rather than acknowledged--but the outcome here speaks for itself.
