    Turkey and Cheese Bagel
    Tim B.

Very mediocre food. My turkey bagel had plenty of turkey which was nice but I feel like it should have lettuce, tomato, or something else fresh. Someone who got the avocado toast said the avocado had barely any taste. Definitely not worth it. The staff was very nice though, no issues there. The place had a strange decor. They had a thin blue line on the door and calling them Jesus freaks would be an understatement.

This place is everything a family-run business should be. It's small, the owner is involved, the employees look happy, and they clearly have regular customers whose names they know. And I observed all this during just one random visit on my way to Alpine. Cleveland Cafe was a breath of fresh air in an unfamiliar place. My husband and I were just looking for something quick on our way to Alpine, and this was just what we wanted. We ordered from the counter and our food was ready in like 10-15 minutes. They have a pretty extensive collection of drinks. I'm kind of sorry I didn't try one. But the sandwiches we ordered were really tasty. I had the turkey panini. You can choose your cheese and a sauce for the side. I had provolone and the pesto sauce which is kind of a creamy mayo or ranch style sauce with pesto mixed in. It also comes with a pickle and chips. Really enjoyed that sandwich. Yum! We sat for a bit and ate while Puss in Boots was playing on the TV. Just a cute, cozy experience overall. I left full and happy.

Yes please! Coconut flavored mocha for me... With almond milk and extra whip cream. What I like the most about this place was the cheery cafe vinevibe when I walked in. And the lady behind the counter greeted me with smiles and asked if it was my first time, as I perused their vast menu of specialty coffee drinks and crepes etc. It was a great pitstop before my daughters softball game and I will be back whenever I'm in the area!

So adorable! We walked in and were immediately welcomed by a lovely young lady, Mandy. She was friendly and knowledgeable...made suggestions. The paninis and crepes are wonderful and delicious and organic! Pleasant environment.

5 stars doesn't even begin to cut it! Cleveland Cafe in Alpine is truly a gem, and under Shawn's new ownership, it's blossomed into the kind of place you want to be every day. The staff is always so kind, cheerful, and genuinely welcoming -- it feels like a little burst of sunshine every time I walk in. The drinks? Absolute heaven in a cup. Shawn has brought such a fresh, charming vibe to the space, with thoughtful touches that make it feel more community-focused and delightfully hip. My favorite new feature is the Coffee Special of the Week -- it's like a mini adventure with every visit! And don't even get me started on the pistachio crepe... it's out of this world. Thank you, Shawn and the amazing team at Cleveland Cafe -- it's honestly dangerous how close I live to you all!

I've been a regular here since moving to Alpine. I absolutely love the people here and the their amazing coffee. It's always super consistent and the employees here are always in a good vibe. Note: There is ample parking on north side of the building across from Ayres Lodge.

We already got our pie fix at Mom's, but made this our last stop before heading out. It was so cold out, a super chilly day, there's nothing more perfect than to grab a hot cup of steaming Apple Cider! It hit the spot! I couldn't stop just standing there sipping my hot cider while waiting for our to go items to be prepared. We got two apple cider donuts, one cinnamon sugar and one chocolate dipped. Long ago, I tried these tiny heart shaped pie crust cookies covered in cinnamon and sugar - Apple Memories! These are crisp tiny bites of love that you want to take home every single time! There are actually two buildings. One where you can grab a bite to eat, the other has all the merchandise, and both have whole frozen pies to grab to go! The building where you can dine has a small inside dining area, it can get cozy in there, but on a chilly day, that is exactly what you want! Just outside there is plenty of room outdoors to enjoy the scenery. In the merchandise building I couldn't help myself... we took home a whole gallon of apple cider, and also bought a jar of Cinnamon Apple Honey Spread and a jar of Apple butter... absolute yum! The hubs also decided to try the apple cinnamon chapstick! Yes, you can grab one of these famous pies at many different establishments throughout San Diego. To make name a few, Iowa Farms, Spring Valley Market, Siesel's and even at Vons! But if you're in Julian, don't forget to try a pie, grab some Apple Memories, and don't forget to bring a hot thermos to take that hot Apple cider to go! Enjoy!!! Simply the Best! Had the Dutch Apple pie, because I wanted something sweeter. It was very good, and served slightly warm. The crumbles on top added the bit of crunch with the soft gooeyness of the apple pie filling, The small scoop of ice cream covered it all, but I had to scoop the ice cream off to eat the pie.

I was hoping to purchase sourdough bread, but unfortunately, it is only available by pre-order. When I mentioned to one of the bakers that I am diabetic and unable to eat regular bread, I was pleasantly surprised to learn that they offer pastries made with almond flour, coconut flour, and monk fruit sweetener. I truly appreciate businesses that consider customers with dietary restrictions. This bakery is a great option for people who are diabetic, watching their carbohydrate intake, or looking for alternatives to traditional flour-based pastries. The bakery itself was clean, inviting, and well maintained. The staff were helpful and informative, making the experience even more enjoyable.
