I would begin by stating, I do not have knowledge of their actual expertise,as I have not used their services and will not in the future. This review is to the exorbitant amount they wanted to charge just to come out and look at the project. I called yesterday at 4:30 pm and asked about coming to replace a cartridge on a shower faucet. The person who answered the phone informed me it was after hours at 4:30 In the afternoon and the fee just to come and see the problem would be $375.00. Any parts or labor after that would be extra. This is LARCENY!! I checked their website and their hours are posted as 24/7. They never mention an extremely high fee if you call or require service after 4:30 in the afternoon. Needless to say, I declined and proceeded to call a different company. At this exorbitant fees to fix a simple problem, I should have skipped collage and opted to become a plumber. :) read more

I told him my problem that it was an emergency and that we had no water to the house because we had to shut it off to prevent further damage. I had heard rumor that Cleveland Plumbing was good, but now I can confirm it. Our water heater went out about 11 AM and we spent a good couple hours on the phone looking around for a good price. They previously fixed the gas line by the meter so I thought this would be easy. So the meeting was fairly confrontational but he said he would discuss it with Vance the boss. He also said he would expedite a proposal that day. I called twice to check on the proposal and was assured that it it be there right away. 3 days later cricket's. Called on what I thought was a slab leak. Derek/Cameron came out the next morning to find the leak. Courteous, clean and efficient. They looked young so I initially wondered how good they might be. But they knew their stuff. They explained the detection process, cost and how they would repair the leak once found. Fortunately for me the leak turned out to be in the water supply to the refrigerator. (Water seeped under kitchen tile to carpet in next room.). They fixed the leak and rechecked to be sure the problem was solved. Answered all my questions throughout the process. I was quoted and charged over $2200 for a weekend job A.O. Smith brand 40 gallon water heater replacement. Vance is a good businessman and the work was not perfect but professional. Prior to scheduling the work, I asked for specifics on the water heater he would provide and he told me he couldn't give model information because he wasn't at the warehouse, but I would get a good water heater that he would provide to family. While he may have given family this water heater for free, I don't think he would have charged $2,200+ for installing it. It had a cosmetic dent, it had been made over a year ago, and it is far from being energy star efficient. I had justified the price because I relied on his representation and believed that I was getting a water heater worth that fee. After installation I researched it and while prices for that brand are not readily accessible, I don't think the overall cost was in any way justified by the model he installed. And, while he was initially responsive to calls, when I and the service worker he sent out tried to call him (multiple times) to confront him about his representations about the water heater he provided, he never picked up. read more

Our water heater gave up on us a couple months ago. I reached out to a few different plumbing companies and all of them were crazy full of appointments, including Cleveland. Vance managed to squeeze me in the same day despite having a full schedule all week! The guys that came out were friendly, professional & efficient at their work! They charged the average going rate- as I had already received a few other quotes. Over the past weekend (2 months after install) we discovered a very strong gas smell in our garage. I called and left a voice msg and Vance(?) called me back within 5-10minutes asking what I needed. He then told me that he will send someone out ASAP. Multiple other plumbing outfits were a day or more out. Cleveland arrived within hours in their well advertised, very clean, very well equipped and supplied trucks. When I called to request a service, Vance Cleveland requested some pics of the situation and he provided a rough estimate for the basic job. Every time the crew members have shown up they were very friendly, professional, explained what needed to be done and advised of any recommended additional actions. If there is job scope creep, you will be informed, and they clean up their job mess when finished. The latest engagement with Cleveland (March 27th 2023) was installation of a new water heater and pan, removal of a broken, worn-out Reverse Osmosis faucet at the kitchen sink and re-setting a toilet . I provided the new water heater and pan and prepped the job by draining the unit. Anthony, Derek and Cameron arrived right on schedule, they had all three things completed and checked/operational in less than two hours. My wife and I were very pleased and grateful with the minimal disruption to our Monday morning. Cleveland Plumbing of Anaheim Hills is my go-to plumbers. Their prices are very, very competitive. Two things that have brought this rating to a 5-star. Vince called me personally to connect about the 3-star rating. Now that was impressive! And he was courteous, despite his disappointment with the review. Secondly, the aging toilet that Cleveland had repaired previously, was acting up again so we called Vince to have him send out a plumber. Bottom line, we need to replace the toilet at some point in the near future. But what we continue to be impressed with is their level of service and willingness to come without an expectation of future business. They sent someone to my house in 15 minutes, replaced the garbage disposal which was obviously broken (very old and it had a good life) and had it all cleaned up in about an hour. Very friendly guys. Updating our review. Mixed review. We had good experiences in the past when they came out to do work. BUT in the past 12-18 months, we've called 2-3 different times for different things, and we either didn't get a call back at all or they called a couple days later (which isn't timely enough for more urgent issues; they're listed as available 24/7, so I would hope they'd at least give us a call back, even if it's to tell us they're busy and to find someone else). We support small businesses and are glad that they're doing well/busy with jobs. We just wish they would improve their communication process. read more
