I have been hoping to try this Draper spot for awhile and a recent brunch date with the ladies provided the perfect opportunity! We made a reservation (I love that they take brunch reservations!) for 11am and our table was all ready when we arrived. The brunch menu has a nice mix of breakfast and lunch options. One area the pub seems to shine on is POTATOES. In our party of five, we got no less than three different styles of potatoes and all were excellent! Potatoes aside, the main dishes were all...good. Nothing spectacular. My burger sounded pretty special on the menu and it was loaded with awesome ingredients--beautiful pickles, a fried egg, bacon and more--and yet after the first bite I was looking for additional sauces because it just didn't taste as good as it should have. The service was excellent--thus four stars instead of three--and we all loved the general vibe of this place. Despite my food not tasting as awesome as I'd hoped, I would still come back here again. This also means your favorite menu items are still there, just a few bucks more. I think they missed an opportunity here to create something fresh and new. Maybe they will since they just re-opened. On my most recent visit: - Truffle fries - wish they were crispy and had more truffle flavor - Shrimp and vegetable tempura - batter was a bit heavier than tempura. Everything was lumped together, couldn't tell what was shrimp and what was vegetables. Batter heavy that we didn't finish the dish. - Custom sushi roll - the chef's choice roll was pretty tasty - Triple Sliders - good way to sample their burgers. The chicken was nice and juicy. - Citrus cake special - it was alright, the buttercream was a bit grainy and the lemon slices were a bit thick and bitter due to the pith. Perhaps if they used the same technique they use on their sushi rolls where it's thinner and a bit more trimmed it would make for a better experience. The atmosphere and the view (which is decent only half the year) is why you really come here. If you want something that a bit more fancy for a date or special occasion on the south end of the valley, this is pretty much the only place to go. read more

Had a special celebration night with my wife last night and we wanted to do something upscale - something better than the normal chain place. We made a reservation to Cliff and I am so glad we did! Place is outstanding; great atmosphere and fantastic service. We had a waiter named Brian (I think) - tallest guy there- and he was amazing. Helpful with dinner suggestions and really attentive to our needs. We normally just give a kudos to the servers with a little note on here but I'm telling you - ask for this guy. For real you will be happy you did. My wife got the salmon and she said it was some of the best fish she ever had in her life. I took the recommendation for the filet mignon. We ate at the Cliff Thursday night. We were harassed by the manager as soon as we paid and told we will no longer receive service for the night and there for after. The manager came over and said "we know you are and know what you guys are about". We were with a good friend who has a large online presence and were pro freedom and Trump. I don't know what the exact reason was but we dine here a lot and tip VERY well and have always been respectful. It's sad to be treated this way, all six of us are still confused on what the issue was with the manager. read more

Blatant, bold, unashamed discrimination. My black father and I and his fiancé went to this restaurant for the view. And the only view I left with was that of an establishment seeping in a discriminatory culture. We waited so we could sit on the patio over looking the valley. When we got to the patio, there were a couple of tables with a direct view. The table they sat us by was right by the in and out doors, in the back of the patio. I asked the hostess if we could sit at the open table over looking the edge, as it was completely empty. The hostess says "No, there is no waitress for that table, you'll need to sit here to be served ". The table I pointed at was surrounded by seated tables. As a someone who waited tables throughout college, I knew what she said was a lie. So we sat at the back table. Not two minutes later they sat a white man there and then a white woman came and joined him. Our waitress, super rude and put out, comes over and takes our drink order . Comes back with water and only a basket of rolls . No plates no silverware no napkins (apparently animals eat with their hands...). We wait , she passed us tending to other tables . 15 minutes goes by sitting there. Finally my dad asks another waitress can we get plates, silverware and warm bread. The waitress comes over put out. Drops (I choose this word for a reason) off new rolls , drops off my drink, plates, silverware etc. By this time I'm already on the website sending an email to management. Sharing this experience in real time (and no, no one got back to me) Not 1, not 2, 3, 4 but 5 interactions with staff at this restaurant that was demeaning, disrespectful and oozing with discrimination. People would not even look us in our eyes. We were the only table with a black man and black woman. The only table not receiving equal service. This establishment needs a reset in character and shift away from racist culture. Perhaps your establishment wishes it were operating in the time of Jim Crow. Where the "colored" folk ate in the back and got what they got... oh that's right. This is the service we received. Wondering when we ate there? I personally love cliff dining pub. It's the best restaurant in the area and I'm so glad it exists! There's slim pickings when it comes to solid, delicious dining in the draper area. Plus! The view is also pretty dang nice. I've sat both in the bar area and in the normal dining area and had good service. My favorite dish are the sushi nachos, yum! read more

Okay I'm not a burger person typically but the cliff burger could easily be the best burger I've ever had. Especially with the waffle sweet potato fries!!! SOOO good. I also really love their queso, their butter cake and Caesar salad. Feel like you can't go wrong here with what you order but if you like burgers FOR SURE do the the burger!!! read more

Good selection of food, good service, and great atmosphere is how I would sum up my visits here at the Cliff dining pub. Our first visit was on a Wednesday night. They had a live musician playing. Lots of energy here. The view outside was very nice. Our food came out promptly. The miso halibut was overcooked and a bit dry. The pork chop was cooked to perfection however I wasn't a fan of the bourbon maple. It was a little too sweet for me. The chicken chorizo was very good. I highly recommend the sushi nachos. The lobster mac was okay. We came back for Sunday to try their breakfast. Chicken and waffles were delicious. Opt for gravy instead. It was money! Love their crisp potatoes. It was another good experience and this place is now one of our go to restaurants whenever we have guests and family visiting Utah. read more

My family and I love eating here. Great selection of food, great service and fresh ingredients. The burgers are HUGE and delicious. My kids love the French dip with au jus. Everything is good from the salads to the Asian dishes to burgers and chicken sandwiches. Would definitely recommend going and enjoying a nice dinner. Yet another great find provided by the front desk staff of a local Hilton hotel property. We happened upon the place on a Wednesday night when they had live music going on. Even though we were there at night and it was raining we could tell the place had great regional views (as they boast on their website) and an exterior patio (as opposed to an interior patio) that really looked like a delightful place to hang. Our party of five (oh, how I loved that series when I was younger) had five different entrees and all we're reported to be great. Being from out of town I was amused by the relatively low alcohol content beer and the limited 1.5oz "shots" of distilled alcohol. Love them regional variations (having just returned from New Orleans) I definitely would return to this place and will save it as a favorite. The parking kind of sucked (if kind of sucking is possible) and we had to illegally park in a neighboring businesses lot. The area has the feel of being under construction (as opposed to being over construction) Well that was fun (the creative and taxiing use of parenthesis) at least for me this one time! I ordered the traditional breakfast and I didn't feel stuffed after which is a plus because I don't like wasting food so I'll always over stuff myself. The Cliff House was one of our favorites... but then the owners divorced and management styles changed... menu and food quality changed, I miss the live band and dance floor. We came here to eat during COVID and felt comfortable the whole time. We were distanced from everyone, staff was wearing masks, and most guests wore masks unless at their tables. The food was very delicious! We got the spinach dip and sushi nacho appetizer and they were so flavorful and we were definitely surprised! I got the a flat bread which I didn't like, but it probably tastes just fine to others. My sister and sister in law got chicken things and the chicken portions were huge, like almost too huge. They couldn't even take a bite of their sandwich. But overall I think it was fine. The main reason for only 4 stars was the service. It was almost impossible to get the attention of our waiter. Terrible "Welcome to The Cliff Dining Pub" in Draper, UT! Tucked in the corner of the most awkward to get to places on a hill, is a restaurant/pub we've enjoyed several times. It's generally been a "hit" when we've been, and I must say, you won't find a better NY Cheesecake anywhere in the state, than The Cliff...but I digress! We'd planned to go after a special event and having just eaten at the Cliff a week earlier, having had the BEST waitress I think we've ever had in any dining establishment, we were anxious and expected a repeat experience. Nope. Far from it. We weren't greeted at all! In fact, our waiter who seemed to have gotten up on the wrong side of the bed (and SHOULD'VE stayed there) met us in exasperated state of GRUMPINESS and let us know he was already "done, tired, and exhausted" and the place opened at 4 pm! We arrived just about 5pm. We looked around (at one table outside with one couple) and no one else except us in the main dining area, and saw a grouping probably 10 patrons seated in the pub area adjacent to us. He never refreshed our water - the only thing we ordered to drink for fear of over taxing said grumpy waiter! We had a large order, and while the French Dip au jus was delicious, there was hardly ANY meat on the roll! I ordered mushrooms and there wasn't one mushroom on it (that's TWICE NOW) and heaven forbid the stroganoff not be watered down! It was a terribly blah runny sauce! We ordered the brussel sprouts which were very good! Our waiter leaned his head ONCE when he was on the other side of a table walking through as if "oh yeah, THEM" to kind of check if we were alive (we almost took each other's pulse to be sure)! He was a mess and we had a few issues with our food but he never cared enough to see if we were content or if he could make anything better, so we let our disappointment reflect in the meager tip we shouldn't even have given him. I will say this, we hesitated to even ask for a slice of the cheesecake KNOWING we'd probably get a SLIVER to share among all of us vs the healthy slice we have always shared previously. And you know what? He did NOT disappoint! The slice was so ridiculous we almost sent it back! But, by the time we FINALLY got it we were DONE WITH HIM (!) and let it slide! We won't be going back any time soon sadly, because Scott N. left a really bad taste in our mouths! The only GOOD thing I can say is, the CHEESECAKE did not disappoint, small slice and all! Hopefully, the waiter gets the rest he needs, does something to appear less disheveled, and can don a smile for the customers who spend their hard earned money trying to support a local eatery. I'm giving this place 5 stars because the service was really excellent! As for the food, I'd give it 4 stars. My wife and I went on a Monday night, and we sat on the patio which overlooks the city! The host even let us move our table right next to the fire wall, so we could keep warm. The ambience was really nice, and the restaurant has a really good vibe to it. Food: Hungry Fries appetizer: SUPER good! Definitely recommend! It comes white a strawberry sauce---way better than I anticipated! White Gnocchi: it was okay, I wasnt a huge fan of it. Prime Rib Flatbread: SUPER good. They hand make the flatbread. You can tell that this bad Larry is made from scratch! I would order that again! Butter Cake dessert: really good! A butter cake with raspberry or strawberry sauce and vanilla ice cream. Strawberry and Coconut Lemonade: they were okay. They use a syrup which I'm not a big fan of. Price: I think it's fair priced! Cheaper than what I expected because the restaurant is really nice. Personal shootout to the "country girl host" she was really positive and made an awesome first impression and lasting impression. Made reservations for Sunday Brunch this Mother's Day since some restaurants started to open back up. I think no matter where you go there will always be ignorant people, but the staff did a great job at keeping people outside as you entered the door to check in. They had tables spaced out inside and outside the restaurant, the entire staff was wearing face masks at all times even the cooks as you pass the kitchen. Servers were wearing disposable gloves and replacing them after each table. They were constantly cleaning the door handles. Service was excellent and the food was amazing. A huge step up from home cooking. I was full a quarter way into my salad but the flavors went together so well I couldn't stop eating. I'm all about supporting local businesses, especially if they continue to keep everyone safe. read more

This is one of the coolest restaurants in Draper and has some incredible views with an amazing atmosphere. The food is also very delicious and they have a bunch of great options with great brunch and dinner and a bar and pool tables and it's all in all just a nice restaurant and a nice location. I used to think the service was not so great but after my most recent visit it seems like they've stepped up their game and I definitely think it's worth checking out if you have a been and would be a great place to take a date or even just go hang out and play some pool and just enjoy the atmosphere and get some drinks. read more
