Positives- great scenery, not overcrowded even on holiday, lots of seating space, chill vibe, good selection of food and snacks, good pour on beer and wine selections, friendly staff that tries to make you happy. My family met up with some friends for a hike at Torrey Pines then headed over here for late lunch and drinks. The meh- food takes a long time to come out because of how long it takes to cook. The porta potties left a lot to be desired. I guess the city doesn't come out on holiday weekends or weekends in general because the 5/6 they had were some of the worst things I've ever seen in my life, and I was born in a third world country. If you have to go #2 you'll have to hold it or go beforehand. This may have been a holiday weekend thing, so others may have had differing experiences. Plan accordingly. All in all I'd still go back there again with my family/friends. If you like to eat outdoors with good scenery and being relaxed you ought to try this place at least once. read more

The entertainment ranges from watching people hang gliding, parasailing, and generally hanging out and enjoying life. As if that's not enough, there's also a Falconry school. where people are learning how to use falcons to hunt. So cool. Took 6 people to lunch here on Sunday. The view is amazing. Unfortunately, the food took slightly over an hour to come out of the kitchen. The sandwiches were simply ok. A couple of the sandwiches were missing some ingredients and they looked like they were kind of thrown together in a hurry. We stopped here with some friends, but the customer service from the two gentlemen in the bar area was very rude, especially the one covered in tattoos. I wouldn't recommend ordering a pizza here--it takes about 30 minutes on average. When I went to the counter to ask about our pizza, I was told it would be another 10 minutes and that it was in the oven. I asked the older blonde lady, and she also said 10 minutes. When I mentioned it had already been 55 minutes, her reply was simply, "OH WELL." We asked for a refund, but the tattooed guy said they don't give refunds and that I'd either have to wait for the pizza or he'd give it away for free. It ended up taking 70 minutes, and when it finally arrived, it wasn't what we ordered. Thankfully, a young lady with her left arm in a sling helped us and refunded our money--she was the only one willing to help. One of those places that ya have on your bookmark list, ya wanna get to, but its such a hidden - out of the way - where do ya park type of place that we just did not take advantage of it. I would either, eat a meal before I roll thru, or go make a stop at a restaurant or eatery after my visit. The reason - well, not sure if its because we came at 1 PM, but everything was either sold out, picked over or modified. The one thing I was craving was crossed off the list. The prices were high for what seemed like mediocre or average 7-11 sandwiches...idk. I don't wanna sound harsh, but maybe bring the prices down? Just seemed a little steep and unfortunately not appetizing. I guess I crave more of a hot sandwich or French fries as a side to my "burger/wrap/sandwhich"... We decided to pass on the food. They did offer ice cream though and packaged cookies. It basically just seemed like a little cart at say Disneyland or seaward. The view and seating that is offered, well that is why everyone comes.
